sites, thus reducing variations in clinical trial outcomes. Centers applying for certification are evaluated based on their ability to provide comprehensive clinical services and care in five domains determined by the TDCI to comprise comprehensive Duchenne care (neuromuscular, cardiac, pulmonary, communication/coordination, endocrine/bone health). The center evaluation is performed via survey completion, site visit, faculty/staff interviews and chart review. Center Metrics, provided annually by certified centers, monitor the center’s continuous improvement in the five domains of care and clinical services. Patients/parents provide additional evaluation via completion of the Clinical Experiences Survey, which mirrors the Center Metrics, and DuchenneConnect, PPMD’s patient-reported outcomes registry. The CDCCP has initiated a network of Certified Duchenne Care Centers. This network is improving patient/family access to standardized, comprehensive care and will provide a framework to support reliable future clinical research and trials.
