PEMILIHAN DOSEN PEMBIMBING SKRIPSI TERBAIK MENGGUNAKAN METODE COMPOSITE PERFORMANCE INDEX (CPI)

Lecturers are professional educators and scientists with the main task of transforming, developing, and disseminating science, technology, and art through education, research, and community service. The problem in this research is that the process of selecting the best thesis lecturer is still subjective without considering the criteria and weighting factors and is also done manually resulting in the selection process being less effective and efficient. The method used in this research is the Composite Performance Index (CPI). Methods of data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, documentation. From this research, the result is that the CPI method can help in selecting the best thesis supervisor and also the first rank is A6 with a value of 500, the second rank is A4 with a value of 470, and the third rank is A2 with a value of 445.

ANALISIS POTENSI MAKRO SEKTORAL KOTA JAYAPURA DAN ARAH PENGEMBANGANNYA DIMASA MENDATANG

This study generally aims to provide a clear image of the sectoral macro economic potential in Jayapura City. More specific, the objectives are: (a) determine and analyze base sectors in Jayapura City, (b) identify and analyze the performance of economic sectors in Jayapura City in order to know the sectors that have competitive advantage and specialization, (c) establish and analyze the typology of socio-economic potential in Jayapura City and compare it with some other equivalent regency, and (d) establish the direction of the leading commodity based on sectoral development potential. Some analysis tools of macro regional performance indicators are descriptive statistics, LQ, SSA, MRP, Overlay Analysis and Composite Performance Index. Based on the result analysis, it is shown that the economic development Jayapura city has always rested on the potentials that are non-tradable sectors. The non-tradable sectors are hotels, trade, construction, restaurants, transportation, banking, and so on which most of the base is not on the local economy. While tradable sectors that have a very strong local base sectors eg. food crops, fisheries, livestock, micro industrial, become complementary and inferior sectors in Jayapura City economy. Due to the absurd economic development like this, the non-tradable sectors are always dominant over the tradable sectors and never once happened that a fundamental change in the economic structure, causing the distribution of income, employment absorption, and business opportunities, all experiencing high inequality. To improve the conditions of economic performance such as this it is necessary to establish potential development strategy of tradable sectors to lead commodity based that is in an effort to improve the marketing and administration, expanding a partnership in the development of leading commodities, improve the quality of human resources, production, capital and value added commodity, as well as institutional strengthening economic commodity.

Penetapan Alokasi Sawah Penerima Air Irigasi Berdasarkan Kondisi Hidroklimatologi di Daerah Irigasi Cihea

One of the main supporting factors for the agricultural sector in the Cihea Irrigation Area is the availability of sufficient water resources. However, uncertain climatic conditions due to climate change lead the changes in the rain distribution and affect the availability of water resources. The study aims to (1) assess the land water balance and drought index in Cihea Irrigation Area and (2) develop alternatives related to irrigation priority locations based on hydro climatological conditions. The water balance was analyzed using the Thornthwaite-Mather method (1957), while the irrigation priority locations were determined using the composite performance index method. Based on the annual water balance analysis, this irrigation area had a 568 mm/year water surplus. However, there was a water shortage from July to October, at 132 mm per month. From ten land systems,the highest deficit was in SL_9, while the lowest was in SL_1. These conditions triggered drought in some locations. The highest drought index occurred in August (56,89%), while the lowest occurred in July (3.98%). Based on hidroclimatological ,the prioritised locations for escalated productivity are paddy fields in CDK.16 Ka, CDK.17 Ki, PD.1 Ka, PD.1 Ki, PD.2 Ka, PD.2 Ki, CRJ.6 Ki, CRJ.7 Ki, CRJ.8 Ki, CRJ.9 Ki, CRJ.10 Ki, and CKR.1 Ki in the Ciranjang subdistrict. Meanwhile, to gain the equal irrigation distribution, the priority locations consist of paddy fields in CSK.1 Ki to CSK.5 ki, CSK.6 Ki, CSK.6 Ka, CSK.7 Ki to CSK.9 Ki, CSK.10 Ki, and CSK.10 Ka, situated in Bocongpicung District.

Decision support system is part of a computer-based information system that is commonly used to support decision making in an organization or company. Decision support systems can be generated using several methods, one of which is the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method. Composite Performance Index is a composite index that can be used to determine the determination or ranking of various alternatives based on several criteria. By using this Composite Performance Index, it is hoped that the process of admitting new students is more effective and efficient so that students quickly get information about whether or not the prospective student is accepted and the results are in accordance with the expected results.

Intra-School Student Organizations (OSIS) have a special function in preparing students to implement management systems and leadership.In determining the student council chairman has criteria, such as intelligence, behavior,craftsmanship, and neatness, which usually the school still records manually so that it is considered less effective.

Paddy crop insurance using satellite-based composite index of crop performance

The well-known area-yield crop insurance contract, guaranteeing a certain percent of normal yield over an insured area, is losing its effectiveness due to poor quality yield data. This paper introduces a “satellite-derived crop health index” as an alternative to yield data in such an insurance model. The new approach was implemented in the 2020 crop season, covering 3.5 million ha of paddy crop over 3200 Insurance Units in the West Bengal state of India. Data of Sentinel satellites, gridded weather data, and Mobile-app based field data were analyzed to generate paddy crop map and crop health indicators, namely NDVI, LSWI, Backscatter and FAPAR for the current (2020) and past years (2016-2019). Using the metrics derived from these indices and entropy technique, a composite index of crop performance called Crop Health Factor (CHF), ranging from 0-1, was generated. Deviations of CHF and yield between the years showed good correlation. The CHF data has successfully replaced the yield data for indemnity and pay-out assessments in 2020, as notified by the Government in advance. Thus, this project makes an entry point for developing remote sensing based transformative crop insurance solutions to enhance risk transfer in agriculture which perhaps the most plausible way forward.

PEMILIHAN SKRIPSI MAHASISWA TERBAIK MENGGUNAKAN METODE COMPOSITE PERFORMANCE INDEX (CPI)

Thesis is a scientific work written by undergraduate students that discusses a particular topic or field based on the results of a literature review written by experts, the results of field research, or the results of development (experiments). The problem in this research is that the process of selecting the best thesis is still subjective without regard to other criteria and is also done manually which makes the selection process less efficient. The purpose of this research is to create a system for selecting the best student thesis. The method used in this research is the Composite Performance Index (CPI). Methods of data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, documentation. The results of this study are the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method can be used for selecting the best student thesis and the results obtained for the first rank are A1 with a value of 218.75, the second rank is A2 with a value of 198.75 and the third rank is A4 with a value of 178.75.

Selecting the best logistics service providers by evaluating the sustainability performance using AHP and linear programming problem

Many manufacturers and retailers often outsource their logistics functions to logistics service providers (LSPs) to focus more on their core business process. Due to the competitiveness and the popularity of the sustainability concept, those organisations evaluate their prospective LSPs not only based on economic aspects but also social and environmental aspects. This paper proposes a framework that can be used by organisations when evaluating and selecting LSPs based on their sustainability performance. A composite sustainability performance index (CSPI) is constructed, incorporating multiple dimensions and indicators related to economic, social, and environmental aspects, which are widely used to measure sustainability performance. A linear programming (LP) model is then proposed, which allows the organisations to decide the desired number of LSPs after considering all requirements and limitations. The proposed framework is flexible as it depends on the sustainability requirements of the organisation when selecting LSPs.

The nexus between environmental performance and economic growth: New evidence from the Middle East and North Africa region

Due to the importance of the environmental impacts of human activities on sustainable growth, the effect of environmental performance on economic growth was investigated for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries from 2000 to 2015. Therefore, the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis is investigated using a Composite Index of Environmental Performance (CIEP) and Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (Panel ARDL) approach. The CIEP model is based on the Driving Force-Pressure-State- Exposure -Effects-Action (DPSEEA) framework and is generated by 19 indicators. The results of this study showed that the driving forces and pressure have negative impacts on environmental performance, thereby reducing the number of available resources. In addition, the results revealed that actions increase life expectancy while reducing the mortality rate and environmental impact. The average CIEP revealed that among MENA countries, Iran (−0.226), Algeria (−0.168), and Yemen (−0.134) had the lowest amounts, while Emirate (0.036), Kuwait (0.036), and Qatar (0.033) had the highest values. The results of the panel data model revealed a cubic polynomial correlation and an N-shaped pattern between economic growth and CIEP. Therefore, MENA countries must pay attention to sustainable development to preserve the environment.

SELECTION OF THE BEST ALTERNATIVE IN THE PROCESSING OF PINEAPPLE JUICE AT PT. PUTRA JAYA, BLITAR REGENCY

Pineapple is one type of tropical plant that is widely spread in Indonesia. Pineapple plants are easy to grow in various types of climates and soils, East Java is no exception. The processing of pineapples into food and beverages in Indonesia has been widely carried out, including PT Putra Jaya. In its production, PT Putra Jaya produces waste in the form of liquid waste from washing and solid waste in the form of pineapple leaves, pineapple skin from cuttings, pineapple pulp left over from cooking pineapple juice. Of the three wastes, there are several wastes that cause odors and can attract flies, including pineapple peel waste and pineapple pulp waste. Therefore, there is a need for waste treatment at PT Putra Jaya. In this study using the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method and the Hayami Method. There are three alternatives proposed, namely animal feed from pineapple peel waste, fertilizer from pineapple peel waste and meat tenderizer from pineapple peel waste. The results of the CPI method used to determine the application of clean production are the first rank of liquid fertilizer with a value of 344,441. In the second rank is animal feed with a yield of 340,280. The third rank is meat tenderizer with 284,151 results. From these results, an alternative liquid fertilizer was chosen which has the opportunity to be applied as waste treatment for clean production at PT Putra Jaya. The added value analysis of the selected alternative is Rp. 14.79. The alternative liquid fertilizer from pineapple peel waste is produced in 1 liter packaging at a price of Rp. 20,000.

Family Planning Performance in India: 1992–2016

This article analyses family planning performance in India based on a composite performance index which is newly developed for this purpose. The analysis suggests that there has been an improvement in family planning performance in the country over time. However, the performance remains poor, and there is substantial scope for further improvement. The analysis also reveals significant variation in family planning performance across India’s states/union territories and districts. The classification modelling exercise undertaken in this article reveals that districts can be grouped into eight clusters in terms of family planning performance. The districts are essentially different in different clusters on both the demand met for family planning and the composition of the demand met. This article emphasises that family planning in the country must be promoted as a development strategy rather than an intervention to limit births.

Application of Decision Support System using Composite Performance Index Algorithm

Every village has a site of leadership. The village head is the person who is entitled to manage the village. The person is the one that is elected to build and develop the village. The village heads will try to improve the situation of the village as well as its residents. People who have this rank have obligations and responsibilities for carrying out village activities. However, democracy is the way to accomplish the best outcomes in terms of peace, justice, and security. The decision support system using the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method functions to assess village head candidates and process them in order to get good ranking results. The most important result of the election is what the village head decides. The application of the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method is very good in determining the right person who will occupy the position of the village head.

Penerapan Metode Composite Performance Index (CPI) Dalam Penerima Bantuan Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE)

A joint business group is a group of citizens or a group of social communities formed from families classified as poor communities through a social welfare program, abbreviated as prokesos, which is useful for carrying out business to increase the income of a group of underprivileged residents. In the decision-making process, errors and inaccuracies in the distribution of aid to the community, for example, people who do not deserve assistance but who receive assistance are inversely proportional to poor communities who do not receive assistance. This problem arises because of the lack of careful selection and miscalculation in determining which people are entitled to receive assistance. For this reason, it is necessary to have a decision support system in producing decisions so that it can support the decisions made by the Province of Social Affairs more real. In this study, one of the Composite Performance Index (CPI) methods is used which is expected to be able to assist the Provincial Social Service in determining the appropriate kube in receiving assistance.

The Performance of Filava-Polysiloxane, Silres® H62C Composite in High Temperature Application

The research aim is to investigate the performance of novel enriched mineral fibres (Filava) in polysiloxane SLIRES H62 resin. Specimens were manufactured using a vacuum bagging process and oven cured at 250 °C. Specimens were prepared for flexural testing according to BS EN ISO 14125:1998 to obtain flexural strength, modulus, and elongation. The mechanical strength was compared to similar composites, with the aim of determining composite performance index. The flexural modulus (9.7 GPa), flexural strength (83 MPa), and flexural strain (2.9%) were obtained from a three-point bending test. In addition, the study investigates the thermal properties of the composite using a state-of-art Zwick Roell high temperature tensile rig. The results showed Filava/Polysiloxane Composites had an ultimate tensile strength 400 MPa, Young’s modulus 16 GPa and strain 2.5% at 1000 °C, and no smoke and ash were observed during pyrolysis. Ongoing research is currently taking place to use Filava-H62 in fire-retardant enclosure for lithium-ferro-phosphate Batteries used in electric trucks.

Economic Feasibility Analysis in Developing 5G Infrastructure and Locations in Indonesia

Indonesia is preparing advanced telecommunication services, 5G technology, to provide the best service for the internet users. The objective of the research is to find feasible regions in developing 5G technology in Indonesia. The regional selection was carried out by combining Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Composite Performance Index (CPI). Further, the economic feasibility of the selected locations was evaluated using NPV, IRR and PBP technique. The result found that the potential cities to develop the 5G technology in Indonesia were Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung. Economic feasibility evaluations showed that Jakarta and Bandung were the most feasible cities for the first 5G technology development in the future.

Political competition, electoral participation and local fiscal performance

ABSTRACT Existing literature argues that political competition and electoral participation influence government efficiency. However, empirical evidence on the matter for developing countries is scant and mixed. This paper contributes to the literature by exploring the impact of political competition and electoral participation on the fiscal performance of 1,098 Colombian municipalities during four government periods (2000-2015). Using a fixed effect panel data model, we find a significant positive relationship between political competition and electoral participation and a composite fiscal performance index. To be more precise, our results indicate that municipalities that have a lower concentration of council seats in the hands of few parties (i.e. a lower Herfindahl-Hirschman Index) and higher voter turnout rates tend to perform better. These results are explained by the positive impact of political competition and electoral participation on operating expenses, local revenue generation, investment and savings. Overall, these findings support political accountability theories, which argue that electoral participation and political competition incentivize career-concerned politicians to perform well and to reduce rent-extraction behavior.

Comparing SAW and CPI Method in Decisions Systems Support to Evaluate Teachers Performance

At educational institutions like Junior High School, Human Resources especially teachers determines the quality of the school. To determine Junior High School have good quality teachers, then the best teacher selection is needed to spur the teacher's performance. However, the best teacher selection at Santa Maria 2 Junior High School which in Tangerang still doing direct observation and no method implements the calculation. To overcome those problems, then Decision Support System is needed to do a calculation and rating the teachers at ease and accurate. The proposed Decision Support System is using Simple Additive Weighting and Composite Performance Index methods, where’s the calculation is obtained from each alternatives score and value weight from each criterion. The criteria in best teacher selection are reviewed from the absence aspect, professionalism, solidarity corps, personality, involving in activities from inside or outside school events. The final result from this calculation formed to ranking. The execution time of the SAW method has a faster average time of 0.489005 than the CPI method with an average time of 0.62258 seconds. On Relative Standard Deviation Testing CPI percentage greater than SAW with 3.90% and CPI 6.48%.

Decision Support System for Selection of the Best Member at Junjung Biru Waste Bank Using the Composite Performance Index (CPI)

Junjung Biru Waste Bank conducts a selection of the best member biennially. The process is crucial, but it does not have a supporting system, which poses problems emerging from data redundancies and data loss. Among the problem is the difficulty for administrators in summarizing data of members who have transactions. To solve the problem, we devised and implemented a decision support system using the CPI (Composite Performance Index) method. The criteria are the amount of balance and active saving during a six-month interval. The results of this research is a web-based decision support system that produces a ranking order of members, which helps in selecting the best member.

CISEF: A composite index of social, environmental and financial performance

We propose a holistic evaluation framework that banks could adopt when screening corporate entities. The framework is based on the development of a composite indicator of social, environmental and financial performance. This integrated view of evaluation is conceptually aligned with ISO standards and empirical proposals of academics and market practitioners in defining inclusive performance. We complement those proposals with a methodological framework that permits incorporation of a plethora of viewpoints in the evaluation process, reflecting the expectations of the various stakeholders in the environment of a bank. We further enhance the evaluation process with analytics of a more detailed hierarchical view of performance, fine-tuning of the evaluation process, and provide implications and suggestions to the senior executive team of a bank’s clients.

Predation yields greater population performance: What are the contributions of density- and trait-mediated effects?

1. Population responses to extrinsic mortality can yield no change in number of survivors (compensation) or an increase in number of survivors (overcompensation) when the population is regulated by negative density-dependence. This intriguing response has been the subject of theoretical studies, but few experiments have explored how the source of extrinsic mortality affects the response. 2. This study tests abilities of three functionally diverse predators, alone and combined, to induce (over)compensation of a prey population. Larval Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae) were exposed to predation by Mesocyclops longisetus (Crustacea: Copepoda), Anopheles barberi (Diptera: Culicidae), Corethrella appendiculata (Diptera: Corethrellidae), all three in a substitutive design, or no predation. 3. The number of survivors to adulthood, female size and development time, and a composite index of performance (r') were analysed. Predator treatment did not have a significant effect on total number of survivors, nor on number of males, suggesting mortality by predation was compensatory. Predation significantly affected number of female survivors, with a trend of more females produced with predation, though no post hoc tests were significant. Predation significantly increased female development rate and r' relative to no-predator control. 4. A sensitivity analysis indicated that the change in the number of female adults produced was the largest contributing factor to the differences in r' among cohorts. While predation did not significantly increase overall production of adults, it did release survivors from density-dependent effects sufficiently to increase population performance. This study provides an empirical test of mechanisms by which predation may yield positive effects on a population of victims, a phenomenon predicted to occur across many taxa and food webs.
