Comparative Theoretical Study of Stability, Lypophilicity, Dipole Moments, Acidity and Spectroscopic Properties of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs: Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen and Flurbiprofen

A comparative theoretical study of some physicochemical properties of R and S enantiomers of ibuprofen, ketoprofen and flurbiprofen is undertaken in order to understand their reactivity. To do this, DFT and TD-DFT methods at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level theory are used. The partition coefficient determined is 3.72 for ibuprofen, 2.81 for ketoprofen and 4.12. for flurbiprofen. That means that these NSAIDs are characterized by a high lipophilicity. The calculated Gibbs energies show that the R enantiomer is the most stable in the case of ibuprofen and the S enantiomer in the case of ketoprofen and flurbiprofen. The study of acidity shows that S enantiomer of ibuprofen and R enantiomers of ketoprofen and flurbiprofen are the most acidic enantiomers. TD-DFT calculations show that, the absorption maxima (λmax) of ibuprofen and flurbiprofen correspond to the HOMO→LUMO transition. For ketoprofen, these are associated with the transition HOMO→LUMO+1. These results elucidate the reactivity of the investigated NSAIDs and could help to establish a classification their efficacy.

Conformational Stability and Dynamics in Crystals Recapitulate Protein Behavior in Solution

A growing body of evidences has established that in many cases proteins may preserve most of their function and flexibility in a crystalline environment, and several techniques are today capable to characterize molecular properties of proteins in tightly packed lattices. Intriguingly, in the case of amyloidogenic precursors, the presence of transiently populated states (hidden to conventional crystallographic studies) can be correlated to the pathological fate of the native fold; the low fold stability of the native state is a hallmark of aggregation propensity. It remains unclear, however, to which extent biophysical properties of proteins such as the presence of transient conformations or protein stability characterized in crystallo reflect the protein behavior that is more commonly studied in solution. Here, we address this question by investigating some biophysical properties of a prototypical amyloidogenic system, β2-microglobulin in solution and in microcrystalline state. By combining NMR chemical shifts with molecular dynamics simulations, we confirmed that conformational dynamics of β2-microglobulin native state in the crystal lattice is in keeping with what observed in solution. A comparative study of protein stability in solution and in crystallo is then carried out, monitoring the change in protein secondary structure at increasing temperature by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The increased structural order of the crystalline state contributes to provide better resolved spectral components compared to those collected in solution and crucially, the crystalline samples display thermal stabilities in good agreement with the trend observed in solution. Overall, this work shows that protein stability and occurrence of pathological hidden states in crystals parallel their solution counterpart, confirming the interest of crystals as a platform for the biophysical characterization of processes such as unfolding and aggregation.

Comparative study of slope stability of a highway constructed in hilly area using limit equilibrium and finite element methods

Slope stability analysis is one of the most challenging field in which the slope factor of safety is the main concern. Normally limit equilibrium and finite element methods are used to analyse such slopes. A variation in the result is also found in both these analysis methods. This analysis work is done using both limit and finite equilibrium methods. The variation in the factor of safety is investigated and a correlation is developed. These values can be used to know about the safe value for factor of safety in any homogenous slopes.

Unravelling the Material Composition Effects on the Gamma Ray Stability of Lead Halide Perovskite Solar Cells: MAPbI3 Breaks the Records.

In this work, we report a comparative study of the gamma ray stability of perovskite solar cells based on a series of perovskite absorbers including MAPbI3 (MA = methylammonium), MAPbBr3, Cs0.15FA0.85PbI3 (FA = formamidinim), Cs0.1MA0.15FA0.75PbI3, CsPbI3, and CsPbBr3. We reveal that the composition of the perovskite material strongly affects the radiation stability of the solar cells. In particular, solar cells based on the MAPbI3 were found to be the most resistant to gamma rays since this perovskite undergoes rapid self-healing due to the special gas-phase chemistry analyzed with ab initio calculations. The fact that the solar cells based on MAPbI3 can withstand a 1000 kRad gamma ray dose without any noticeable degradation of the photovoltaic properties is particularly exciting and shifts the paradigm of research in this field toward designing more dynamic rather than intrinsically robust (e.g., inorganic) materials.

Cu(II) and Gd(III) doped boehmite nanostructures: a comparative study of electrical property and thermal stability

The present article reports the effect of transition (Cu2+) and rare earth metal (Gd3+) ion doping on structural, microstructural and electrical properties of boehmite nanoparticles. Rietveld refinement is adopted here to refine the x-ray diffractograms for further analyzing the microstructural details and their alteration due to the incorporation of foreign cations. This is probably the first time when dielectric properties of these doped boehmite samples having been reported herein. These samples show remarkably high dielectric constant values which corroborate that doping enhances the microstrain values inside the orthorhombic structure and results in higher crystallographic defects. Enhancement in defect sites causes the augmentation of relative permittivity and ac conductivity. Temperature stability has also been enhanced significantly in our Cu-doped sample. The present study enables us to determine a relationship between crystalline deformation and electrical properties of nanomaterials which may be highly beneficial in fabricating cost-effective energy harvesting devices.

In Vitro Comparative Study of Dimensional Stability of Three Different Polyvinyl Siloxane Interocclusal Recording Matereials after Storage for Different Time Intervals of 12 Hours, 24 Hours, and 48 Hours

Background: Interocclusal recording materials are generally used in prosthetic dentistry to register the jaw relationship. These materials have a wide range of viscosity, elasticity, and volumetric changes within various material groups. Newer elastomeric interocclusal materials are chemical modifications of elastomers whose comparative properties relevant to clinicians are yet to be studied. Aims: To compare the dimensional change between the polyvinylsiloxane bite registration materials manufactured by different brands within the duration of 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours storage. Methodology: The dimensional changes of the different polyvinylsiloxe bite registration pastes were compared three-dimensionally in different time intervals with the standardised die measurement was 25mm between the vertical lines. Conclusion: Within the limitations of the study, it was found that all 3 interocclusal recording materials NEOSILK, CADBITE, AND O-BITE showed no significant distortion when stored in-vitro for 12 hours. All Materials showed significant distortion when stored in-vitro for 24 hours and 48 hours. All three materials showed more distortion when stored in 48hours compare to 24 hours. Among polyvinyl siloxane interocclusal recording materials NEOSILK showed better dimensional stability when compared with CADBITE and O-BITE when stored in-vitro 24hours and 48hours. Hence we recommend Neosilk bite material for better dimensional stability when compare with other materials.

Comparative study of haemodynamic stability of Propofol versus Etomidate during Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio pancreatography

Background: Endoscopic procedures like ERCP are performed with patient under moderate sedation. Recently sedation with etomidate and propofol was compared for colonoscopy. Etomidate–Remifentanil administration for sedation and analgesia during colonoscopy resulted in more stable haemodynamic responses and shorter recovery and discharge time. So the purpose of the study was to compare study of haemodynamic stability of propofol versus etomidate during Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography.Material and Methods: Patients were divided for sedation into 2 groups – etomidate and propofol. Haemodynamic response to induction agent etomidate or propofol by measuring the systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, mean arterial pressure and heart rate starting from baseline values followed by measuring the same at serial intervals during the procedure. Results were analysed in both groups Results: It was found that the average time from stoppage of sedation to the time to reach a Ramsay sedation score of lesser than 3 was higher in the patients receiving propofol. The mean time of recovery was 8.68 minutes for propofol and 6.28 min for etomidate; this was found to be statis tically significant, with a p value < 0.05. Conclusion: our study shows that etomidate as an agent for procedural sedation during ERCP caused more stable haemodynamics compared to propofol, Thus we conclude that etomidate is a good sedative agent for ERCP in ASA I – III patients.

Comparative evaluation of positional stability of the «capsular bag + intraocular lens» complex in patients with lens subluxation

To conduct a comparative clinical study of positional stability of the "capsular bag + IOL" complex in the late postoperative period after application of a combined technique of capsular bag fixation in patients with subluxation of the lens. Phacoemulsification (PE) with in-the-bag IOL implantation and postoperative observation was performed in 213 patients (234 eyes) with cataract and pronounced lens subluxation. The 1st group consisting of 138 patients (153 eyes) underwent capsular bag fixation of the combined technique with simultaneous use of 4 modified iris-retractors and one or two capsular tension rings (CTRs). The 2nd group included 75 patients (81 eyes) who in the course of PE had their capsular bag fixed beyond the edge of capsulorhexis with only 4 modified iris-retractors. Preoperative state of the lens and the evaluation of the frequency and degree of decentration of the «capsular bag + IOL» complex in the postoperative period were performed using data acquired with ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM). Significant (more than 1 mm according to UBM) IOL's optic decentration was observed in the 1st group after applying the combined capsular bag fixation technique in 12 (7.8%) cases, and in the 2nd group after isolated use of modified iris-retractors in 48 (59.3%) cases. The use of the combined capsular bag fixation technique not only improves the conditions for carrying out PE with in-the-bag IOL implantation in patients with pronounced lens subluxation, but also contributes to a substantial (an average of 8 times) reduction in the incidence of significant decentration of the «capsular bag + IOL» complex in the late postoperative period.

A comparative study of structure, stabilities and electronic properties of neutral and cationic [AuSin]λ and [Sin+1]λ (λ = 0, +1; n = 1–12) nanoalloy clusters

Structure, stabilities and electronic properties of [AuSin]λ and [Sin+1]λ (λ = 0, +1; n=1-12) nanoalloy clusters are studied invoking Density Functional Theory methodology. To understand the chemical stability of the lowest energy structure of cluster, chemical parameters like, Binding Energy, Fragmentation Energy, Second Order Difference in Energy and HOMO-LUMO energy gap are studied with the variation of cluster size. The binding energy of neutral and cationic Sin+1 and AuSin clusters is gradually increasing along with the cluster size n. The second order difference in energy for pure Sin+1 and doped cluster AuSin shows an interesting odd-even alternation behavior. It is found that Si7, AuSi5, [Si5]+ and [AuSi7]+ are the most stable clusters. The HOMO-LUMO energy gap of neutral and cationic AuSin cluster is high as compare to their corresponding neutral and cationic Sin+1 cluster. It indicates that doping of Au atom enhances the energy gap of silicon clusters. The computed HOMO-LUMO gap of neutral and cationic AuSin clusters are in the range of 1.35–2.94 eV, which is suitable for microelectronics, optoelectronic devices and photovoltaics applications. Density Functional Theory based descriptors viz. Electronegativity, Hardness, Softness and Electrophilicity Index are also reported. The HOMO-LUMO energy gap of pure Si and doped cluster AuSin displays odd-even oscillation behavior as a function of cluster size, n. The close agreement between theoretical and experimental results supports and validates our computational analysis.

An ab initio study of reversible dihydrogen adsorption in metal decorated γ-graphyne

We present the detailed comparative study of dihydrogen adsorption in Li, Mg, Ca, and Sc decorated γ-graphyne (Gγ) performed with density functional theory calculations. Hydrogen molecules are sequentially loaded onto metal decorated Gγ. Maximum hydrogen weight percentage for Li, Mg, Ca, and Sc decorated Gγ is found to be 8.69, 7.73, 8.10, and 6.83, respectively, with maximum 8 H2 on Li, Mg, and Sc while 10 on Ca decorated Gγ. All hydrogen molecules are physisorbed over all the complexes except that the first one on each Sc of Gγ-2Sc is chemisorbed. Orbital hybridization involved in Dewar coordination of metal decoration and the Kubas mechanism of hydrogen adsorption has been explained with the partial density of states. Lower values of adsorption and desorption energies in these complexes indicate the reversibility of adsorption. These complexes obey high hardness and low electrophilicity principles and contain no imaginary frequencies which specify their stability. In Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics, reversibility of adsorption is proven at various temperatures. Based on the comparative studies of hydrogen weight percentage, energetics, stability, and reversibility, Gγ-2Ca is proven to be a better hydrogen storage candidate. This comprehensive study confirms the potential of metal decorated γ-graphyne as a suitable hydrogen storage material.

Soil–atmosphere interactions for analysing slopes in tropical soils in Singapore

The modelling of soil–atmosphere interactions for slopes requires a proper understanding of the relevant soil parameters (soil water retention curve and the permeability function). This paper reports on numerical investigations of an instrumented residual soil slope in Singapore. The objective of the paper is to provide practical suggestions for choices of hydraulic parameters that can provide realistic predictions in analysing practical problems. The analyses use an uncoupled unsaturated flow model and a hydromechanical coupled model with time-dependent boundary conditions. The results obtained using measured weather data for the slope were validated against field measurements of pore-water pressure changes. The models were able to capture the trend of changes in the pore-water pressure due to rainfall events provided that account was taken of a more permeable surficial layer due to the presence of desiccation cracking and root passages. A comparative study of stability shows that the mobilised shear strength drops quickly during a rainfall event but recovers much more slowly during drying. This shows how a series of regular rainstorms with short periods of drying in between can cause a ratcheting effect, with rapid loss of strength during each period of rain that is not recovered during the intermediate drying periods.

Fuzzy Sliding Mode based PI Controlled UPFC for Optimized WECS Dynamics during Fault Ride Through

With the enormous global growth in electrical power demand and the associated decrease in conventional power resources, electricity generation from renewable energy sources have been furiously sought worldwide, as they represent infinite and clean natural resources. Wind energy is one of the most efficient renewable energy sources. However, due to the fluctuating behaviour of wind energy and the need of electronic devices to link wind turbine generator with existing electricity grids, problems such as frequency oscillations, voltage instability and harmonic distortion may arise. Flexible alternative current transmission system (FACTS) devices, such as unified power flow controller (UPFC), can provide technical solutions to improve the overall performance of wind energy conversion systems (WECS). This paper presents a comparative study of transient stability and reactive power compensation issues in an autonomous wind energy conversion system (WECS) using robust fuzzy-sliding mode based unified power flow controller (UPFC). It is noted from the simulation results that the performance of UPFC is superior to static VAR compensator and static synchronous compensator in improving the voltage profile of the WECS. Further, fuzzy and fuzzy-sliding mode based UPFC controller is designed in order to improve the transient performance. Simulation results reflect the robustness of the proposed fuzzy-sliding mode controller for better reactive power management to improve the voltage stability in comparison with the conventional PI and fuzzy-PI controllers. In addition to this, system stability analysis is performed based on Eigen value, bode and Popov for supporting the robustness of the proposed controller.

S-Nitrosoglutathione exhibits greater stability than S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine under common laboratory conditions: A comparative stability study

S-Nitrosothiols (RSNOs) such as S-nitrosoglutathione (GSNO) and S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine (SNAP) are susceptible to decomposition by stimuli including heat, light, and trace metal ions. Using stepwise isothermal thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), we observed that NO-forming homolytic cleavage of the S–N bond occurs at 134.7 ± 0.8 °C in GSNO and 132.8 ± 0.9 °C in SNAP, contrasting with the value of 150 °C that has been previously reported for both RSNOs. Using mass spectrometry (MS), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), we analyzed the decomposition products from TGA experiments. The organic product of GSNO decomposition was glutathione disulfide, while SNAP decomposed to form N-acetylpenicillamine disulfide as well as other products, including tri- and tetrasulfides. In addition, we assessed the relative solution stabilities of GSNO and SNAP under common laboratory conditions, which include variable temperature, pH, and light exposure with rigorous exclusion of trace metal ions by chelation. GSNO exhibited greater stability than SNAP over a 7-day period except in one instance. Both RSNOs demonstrated an inverse relationship between solution stability and temperature, with refrigeration considerably extending shelf life. A decrease in pH from 7.4 to 5.0 also enhanced the stability of both RSNOs. A further decrease in pH from 5.0 to 3.0 resulted in decreased stability for both RSNOs, and is notably the only occasion in which SNAP proved more stable than GSNO. After 1 h of exposure to overhead fluorescent lighting, both RSNOs displayed high susceptibility to light-induced decomposition. After 7 h, GSNO and SNAP decomposed 19.3 ± 0.5% and 30 ± 2%, respectively.

Comparative structural and thermal stability studies of Cuc m 2.0101, Art v 4.0101 and other allergenic profilins

Worldwide, more than one-third of the population suffers from allergies. A significant fraction of officially registered allergens originate from the profilin family of proteins. Profilins are small ubiquitous proteins which are found in plants, viruses and various eukaryotes including mammals. Although they are primarily regarded as minor allergens, profilins are important players in immunoglobulin E (IgE) cross-reactivity. However, in some populations profilins are recognized by IgE from at least 50% of patients allergic to a given allergen source. Cuc m 2.0101 is recognized by IgE in more than 80% of muskmelon-allergic patients. The recombinant isoallergen Cuc m 2.0101 was produced in significant quantities and its X-ray crystal structure was determined. In addition, a new Art v 4.0101 (mugwort profilin) structure was determined. The profilins Cuc m 2.0101 and Art v 4.0101 were compared in terms of their structure and thermal stability. Furthermore, structural similarities and IgE cross-reactivity between profilins from different sources are discussed to explain the molecular basis of various clinical syndromes involving this group of allergens. Special emphasis is placed on discussion of profilins’ quaternary structures and their relation to biological function, as well as to protein allergenicity. Moreover, a potential impact of protein purification protocols on the structure of profilins is highlighted.

Comparative Study of Color Stability of Three Composite Materials, Treated by Finishing and Coated Sealing, After Immersion in Different Wholesale

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of common drinks consumed by patients (Coffee, Coca-Cola, Black Tea) on different types of composite restorations, finishing and surface sealing (nanocomposites, nanohybrids, ormocers) regarding color changes. 45 specimens of composite materials (Nanoceramic, Nanocomposite and Nanohybrid) were made and divided into 3 groups G1-control group, G2 - finished in 2 stages, and G3 glaze coated. The LOVIBOND RT 300 portable spectrophotometer was used to determine the color by following the CIELAB scale. The data was analyzed using Mann-Whitney followed by a multiple comparison t test. Significant differences were found between the groups in terms color changes (p[0.001). The results showed that for both groups of composites (G2 and G3), irrespective of the beverage they were immersed in, the DE values were significantly higher at 7 days compared with the 30 day values.

Comparative Study of Chemical Stability of Two H1 Antihistaminic Drugs, Terfenadine and Its In Vivo Metabolite Fexofenadine, Using LC-UV Methods.

A comparative study of chemical stability of terfenadine (TER) and its in vivo metabolite fexofenadine (FEX) was performed. Both TER and FEX were subjected to high temperature at different pH and UV/VIS light at different pH and then quantitatively analyzed using new validated LC-UV methods. These methods were used to monitor the degradation processes and to determine the kinetics of degradation for both the compounds. As far as the effects of temperature and pH were concerned, FEX occurred more sensitive to degradation than TER. As far as the effects of UV/VIS light and pH were concerned, the both drugs were similarly sensitive to high doses of light. Using all stress conditions, the processes of degradation of TER and FEX followed the first-order kinetics. The results obtained for these two antihistaminic drugs could be helpful in developing their new derivatives with higher activity and stability at the same time.

Comparative stability of ficin and papain in acidic conditions and the presence of ethanol

Proteolytic enzymes are used for proteolysis and peptide synthesis which can be run in various conditions including low pH value and the presence of ethanol. The most common cysteine protease applied in acidic-alcoholic conditions is well-characterized papain. Ficin, which is closely related to papain in terms of proteolytic activity and substrate specificity, could potentially be applied in the alcoholic beverage industry and peptide synthesis. The aim of this study was to compare papain and ficin stability in process conditions. Comparative stability study showed that ficin as a mixture of different isoforms has a broader range of stability in respect of pH and cold storage stability, in comparison to papain. It retains about 70% of initial activity after 3-week cold storage at low pH and in the presence of ethanol. Unlike ficin, papain loses about 70% of initial activity in the same incubation period as it is more prone to non-native aggregation that was confirmed by FTIR analysis. The presence of multiple isoforms of ficin stabilizes the protease against cold denaturation and aggregation, making it more suitable for biotechnological and laboratory usage than single papain isoform. It is more cold-stable in alcoholic-acidic and acidic conditions suggesting possible replacement of papain with even lower enzyme concentration.

Supramolecular Strategy Effects on Chitosan Bead Stability in Acidic Media: A Comparative Study.

Chitosan beads attract interest in diverse applications, including drug delivery, biocatalysis and water treatment. They can be formed through several supramolecular pathways, ranging from phase inversion in alkaline solutions, to the ionic crosslinking of chitosan with multivalent anions, to polyelectrolyte or surfactant/polyelectrolyte complexation. Many chitosan bead uses require control over their stability to dissolution. To help elucidate how this stability depends on the choice of supramolecular gelation chemistry, we present a comparative study of chitosan bead stability in acidic aqueous media using three common classes of supramolecular chitosan beads: (1) alkaline solution-derived beads, prepared through simple precipitation in NaOH solution; (2) ionically-crosslinked beads, prepared using tripolyphosphate (TPP); and (3) surfactant-crosslinked beads prepared via surfactant/polyelectrolyte complexation using sodium salts of dodecyl sulfate (SDS), caprate (NaC10) and laurate (NaC12). Highly variable bead stabilities with dissimilar sensitivities to pH were achieved using these methods. At low pH levels (e.g., pH 1.2), chitosan/SDS beads were the most stable, requiring roughly 2 days to dissolve. In weakly acidic media (at pH 3.0–5.0), however, chitosan/TPP beads exhibited the highest stability, remaining intact throughout the entire experiment. Beads prepared using only NaOH solution (i.e., without ionic crosslinking or surfactant complexation) were the least stable, except at pH 5.0, where the NaC10 and NaC12-derived beads dissolved slightly faster. Collectively, these findings provide further guidelines for tailoring supramolecular chitosan bead stability in acidic media.

Comparative study of stability and transport of molecules through cyclic peptide nanotube and aquaporin: a molecular dynamics simulation approach

The structural stability and transport properties of the cyclic peptide nanotube (CPN) 8 × [Cys–Gly–Met–Gly]2 in different phospholipid bilayers such as POPA (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidic acid), POPE (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine), POPC (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine), POPG (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoglycerol) and POPS (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoserine) with water have been investigated using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The hydrogen bonds and non-bonded interaction energies were calculated to study the stability in different bilayers. One µs MD simulation in POPA lipid membrane reveals the stability of the cyclic peptide nanotube, and the simulations at various temperatures manifest the higher stability of 8 × [Cys–Gly–Met–Gly]2. We demonstrated that the presence of sulphur-containing amino acids in CPN enhances the stability through disulphide bonds between the adjacent rings. Further, the water permeation coefficient of the CPN is calculated and compared with human aquaporin-2 (AQP2) channel protein. It is found that the coefficients are highly comparable to the AQP2 channel though the mechanism of water transport is not similar to AQP 2; the flow of water in the CPN is taking place as a two-line 1–2–1–2 file fashion. In addition to that, the transport behavior of Na+ and K+ ions, single water molecule, urea and anti-cancer drug fluorouracil were investigated using pulling simulation and potential of mean force calculation. The above transport behavior shows that Na+ is trapped in CPN for a longer time than other molecules. A comparative study of dimensional stability of two popular commercially used denture base resins

Background: A good dimensional stability is a necessary prerequisite for successful complete denture retention and its functional efficacy. This study was conducted keeping in mind the cost factor and the need of a common man. Out of many available products, conventional heat cure resin (Dental Products of India [DPI] and Lucitone 199 [LUC]) are the standard of choice. For suitable understanding of these two products in accordance to the above-stated statement, the current study was conducted. Aim: This in vitro study was carried out to compare the dimensional stability of commercially available polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) DPI and high-impact LUC denture base materials processed using a long curing cycle, with and without terminal boiling. Methodology: By using a chrome cobalt metal base plate, a total of forty specimens of acrylic base plates were fabricated. They consisted of two major groups of twenty specimens each, fabricated from conventional heat cure DPI and LUC heat cure resins. Each group so fabricated was further subdivided into two equal subgroups of ten specimens each, which were subjected to long curing cycle, with and without terminal boiling. The results for each group were compared by paired sample t-test for the studied objective, and data were analyzed by SPSS software version 20 (IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY USA). The level of statistical significance was fixed at the customary level ≤0.05. Results: The dimensional stability values of LUC were found superior (P Conclusion: PMMA reinforced with butadiene styrene fabricated using long curing cycle with terminal boiling showed the highest value of dimensional stability and the least was seen with conventional PMMA processed with long curing cycle without terminal boiling.
