The Role of CEO Financial Skills on Company Performance

Fast and dynamic economic growth requires companies to choose a chief executive officer (CEO) who has strong technical and managerial skills. One important ability for a company CEO to have is financial expertise. The CEO's financial capabilities can help the company manage resources more efficiently and effectively, especially during times of crisis. This research aims to determine the role of CEO financial expertise on company performance during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research is quantitative in nature using secondary data obtained from the company's annual report and financial statements. The sample for this research was 40 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The results obtained show that CEO financial expertise plays a negative and significant role in company performance. This finding explains that, during the financial crisis, the CEO's expertise was not able to improve company performance.

Increasing Firm Value, Financial Performance Through Sustainable Development Goals Report and GCG in Go Public Companies

This study examines the relationship between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) report, corporate governance, financial performance, and the value of mining companies that go public. The data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The research data is in the form of annual resport, and financial statements of mining companies listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2022. The scope of the study includes various determining factors such as the quality and level of disclosure of the SDG report, the effectiveness of corporate governance mechanisms, and the combined influence of them on financial performance and company value. The findings show that two determining factors significantly affect the value of a company. SDG reports have a significant positive influence on financial performance but a non-significant positive effect on company value. Good Corporate Governance has a significant positive impact on financial performance but has a significant negative effect on the SDG report and company value. Financial performance, in turn, positively and significantly affects the value of a company.

Correlation Between CSR and Stock Market Performance: Analyzing 32 PSX Companies

This study examines the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the financial performance and stock prices of 32 companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Analysisysis focuses on the correlation between CSR activities and Return on Equity (ROE), investigating how different CSR strategies, such as donations, employee welfare, and cause-related marketing, influence stock market performance. The research employs both qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews with senior executives and analysis of company financial statements. The findings reveal varying degrees of correlation between CSR initiatives and financial performance, with some companies showing significant positive correlations, while others exhibit negative or no correlation. The study also highlights challenges in obtaining CSR-related data and discusses the implications of CSR on the long-term financial stability of firms.

Pengaruh Kinerja Keuangan Terhadap Return Saham Pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Aneka Industri Yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode Tahun 2018-2022

Stock returns are the results obtained from stock investments. Financial performance is said to have a big influence on stock returns, therefore it is necessary to pay attention to information and carry out an analysis of the condition of the company's financial statements using financial ratios. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Liquidity, Leverage, Activity and Profitability on stock returns both partially and simultaneously. The company population in this study was 15 companies and 65 samples, using secondary data and purposive sampling techniques with the results of annual financial reports of manufacturing companies in various industrial sectors listed on the BEI for the 2018-2022 period. Data analysis in this research uses descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests consisting of data normality tests, multicollinearity tests, autocorrelation tests and heteroscedasticity tests, multiple regression tests and hypothesis tests consisting of t tests, F tests and coefficient of determination tests. Based on the results of this research, it shows that liquidity and leverage have a significant effect on stock returns. Activity and profitability have no effect on stock returns. And Liquidity, Leverage, Activity and Profitability simultaneously have a significant effect on stock returns.

ANALYSIS OF ADDITIONAL TAX CALCULATION AND REPORTING VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT) AND ITS IMPACT ON REPORT PRESENTATION FINANCE

This research aims to determine whether the Value Added Tax (VAT) Calculation and Reporting is by the provisions of the applicable Tax Law and financial accounting standards and to analyze its effect on the Financial Reports at PT. Kalaborang Residence. The findings of this research are significant as they provide insights into the compliance of PT. Kalaborang Residence with the tax laws and financial accounting standards, and the practical implications of VAT on the company's financial statements. Kalaborang Residence. Samples and indicators are taken from the company's profit and loss report and balance sheet. The research method used in this research is the qualitative approach. Data was obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation related to the problems studied. The data obtained was then analyzed using interactive methods. Based on the research results of VAT Calculation and Reporting. PT Kalaborang Residence is by Law Number 42 of 2009 and Harmonization of Taxation Regulations Law Number 7 of 2021, using rates of 10% and 11% by calculating output tax minus input tax; there is no delay in depositing and reporting the company has used e-Annual Tax Returns so that you are not late in reporting every VAT period—the impact of Value Added Tax on the presentation of PT's financial statements. Kalaborang Residence has no impact because its End User is only an intermediary for its financial reports. If seen theoretically, PT. Kalaborang Residence, as a Taxable Entrepreneur, is required to report its taxes in the financial reports contained in the Profit and Loss Report and Balance Sheet Report. From the results of observations made by researchers in the field during that period, there was no VAT that could not be credited to the PT's Profit and Loss Report.

The Influence of Audit Fees, Audit Tenure, Company Size and Managerial Ownership on Audit Quality

Every company must provide quality financial reports presented in the form of company financial statements or with accounting information. Public accountants are needed to find misrepresentations or fraud in financial statements and reduce the possibility of this happening. This research aims to provide an explanation and analysis of the effect of audit fees, audit duration, company size and managerial ownership on audit quality in transportation and logistics sector companies listed on the IDX in 2016-2022. This study involved 63 observations, each with 9 samples and 30 populations. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25 software. The results of the study concluded that audit fees and company size had an effect, but audit tenure and managerial ownership did not.

The Influence of Profitability, Liquidity, and Chief Executive Officer Gender on the Timeliness of Financial Reporting

Delays in the financial reporting of Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange can raise doubts about the relevance of the company's financial statements. This research aims to determine and obtain empirical evidence of the influence of profitability, liquidity, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) gender on the timeliness of financial reporting. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data used is secondary data from the company's annual report. The sample was 68 property & real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange consecutively in 2020-2022 obtained by purposive sampling technique. The research data is analyzed by logistic regression. The results show that profitability positively affects the timeliness of financial reporting, while liquidity and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gender have no effect on the timeliness of financial reporting.

Analisis Perbedaan Penyusunan Laporan Keuangan Konsolidasi pada Perusahaan di Indonesia dengan Konvergensi IFRS dan PSAK 22

The purpose of this study is to determine how IFRS 22 and IFRS 3 differ from each other with respect to business combinations as they relate to the compilation of consolidated financial statements for Indonesian companies. Because this strategy gives researchers an idea of how the topic of debate has evolved, a qualitative method that uses a review literature approach is the type of method used. Secondary data that has been examined to generate a description of the research topic is the source of the data used. The study shows that IFRS 22 and IFRS 3 differ in several areas, including the presentation of long-term liabilities that must be refinanced, minority interest rate requirements, disclosures in financial position statements, and financial statement components. Consolidated financial statements based on IFRS number 3 and PSAK number 22 must be prepared for the combination of companies. Guidelines for reporting consolidated financial statements for companies with subsidiaries are listed in PSAK number 22. Guidance on the accounting treatment of corporate purchases is provided by IFRS 3. The components of the financial statements, the disclosures in the statement of financial position, the term minority interest, extraordinary headings, and the reporting of long-term liabilities to be refinanced are where PSAK 22 and IFRS 3 differ. It is important for all businesses to have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant guidelines and regulations to guarantee the accuracy and compliance of consolidated financial statements with such accounting standards. PENGARUH LEVERAGE DAN PROFITABILTAS TERHADAP PENGHINDARAN PAJAK MELALUI CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PADA PERUSAHAAN BARANG DAN KONSUMSI TERBUKA (TBK) TAHUN 2019-2021

This study aims to determine the effect of leverage and profitability on tax avoidance through corporate social responsibility. The type of research used is quantitative research. The population used in this study are goods and consumption companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2019-2021. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange database and consumer and goods company websites. Methods of data collection using documentation that is based on the company's financial statements. The data analysis technique of this research uses SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that leverage and profitability have no effect on corporate social responsibility. Meanwhile, leverage and CSR have no effect on tax evasion. Profitability affects tax avoidance. Meanwhile, CSR is not able to mediate the effect of leverage and profitability on tax evasion.

The Influence of Company Fundamentals and Director Characteristic towards Fair Value Measurement in the Indonesian Banking Industry

Fair value is part of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) which attract attention of researchers due to its controversial issues. Studies investigating factors influencing opportunistic behaviour through fair value figures in developing countries are limited. This study aims to investigate the effect of company fundamental factors on fair value. This research applies multiple regression of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The fundamental factors, as independent variables are return on equity (ROE), ratio of operating expense on operating income (OEOI), capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and the proportion of female directors. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is fair value through modelling calculation i.e. fair value level 3 inputs. This study found that only OEOI significant influence fair value level 3 inputs. Meanwhile, ROE, CAR, and the proportion of females in the board of directors does not significant influence on fair value level 3 inputs. The study implications Indonesian banking industries should prioritize fair value disclosure, especially at level 3, as it provides crucial information about a company's performance and condition, potentially enabling investors to evaluate its performance.

Sharia-compliant financial statements: Specifics of information disclosure

Subject. This article deals with the issues related to the disclosure of information in the financial statements by organizations providing partnership financing services. Objectives. The article aims to study the features of the Islamic model of accounting, its regulatory framework and the requirements for disclosure of information in financial statements in accordance with AAOIFI standards. Methods. The scientific works by contemporary foreign and domestic scientists engaged in the study of the Islamic model of accounting and the problems of disclosure of information in financial statements by Islamic financial institutions served as a methodological basis for the study. Results. The article finds that religion and ethical standards embedded in Islamic economics have a significant impact on accounting and the formation of Sharia-compliant financial statements. The article also describes the emergence and development of the Islamic accounting model and the distinctive features of information disclosure in accordance with RAS, IFRS and AAOIFI standards. The article provides examples of information disclosure in financial statements by Islamic financial institutions operating abroad and in Russia. Conclusions. The information disclosed in the financial statements of Islamic financial institutions in accordance with AAOIFI standards is much broader than under RAS and IFRS. The specifics of reflecting transactions on partnership financing are currently traced in the financial statements of companies operating in foreign countries, where partnership finance has been developing for many years. Financial institutions operating in the field of partnership finance in Russia prepare accounting (financial) statements in accordance with RAS, and when preparing internal management reporting, they are guided by IFRS and AAOIFI standards.

Financial Feasibility Analysis of XYZ Company Market Expansion Plan to Kalimantan

XYZ Company, a B2B manufacturer of Songkok in Gresik, East Java, plans to expand its market by establishing a new distribution warehouse in Banjarmasin, Kalimantan. This strategy aims to leverage the growing demand for Songkok in Kalimantan, which has a significant Muslim population. The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the financial feasibility of purchasing versus renting the new warehouse for this investment plan. The financial feasibility analysis was conducted in multiple stages. Pro forma financial statements were constructed for both scenarios, incorporating historical data of the company's financial statements, industry benchmarks, and growth assumptions from management interviews. Free Cash Flow to the Firm (FCFF) and terminal cash flows were calculated using the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC). Capital budgeting techniques were then used to evaluate financial feasibility, including Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Discounted Payback Period. Risk assessment was performed through sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlo simulation. Results indicate that the renting scenario, with an initial investment of IDR 242 million, has a higher NPV and IRR than the purchase scenario, which requires an initial investment of IDR 944 million. The renting scenario also offers a faster-discounted payback period of 2 years and one month, making it more feasible. Risk assessment shows moderate risk, with an 83% probability of achieving a positive NPV. The financial feasibility analysis recommends renting the new warehouse in Banjarmasin. This option provides a quicker payback period, higher NPV and IRR, and positive risk assessment results. Investing in this project will enhance XYZ Company's market presence in Kalimantan, cater to the growing demand for Songkok, and achieve sustainable growth and profitability.

Analisis Financial Distress dengan Model Altman Z Score pada Sektor Perkebunan di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2014-2022

This research aims to analyze the comparative analysis of potential bankruptcy (financial distress) models using the first, revised and modified Altman model for plantation sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Financial distress can be used to determine and monitor a company's financial condition, so that it is hoped that they will be able to make better decisions to maintain the stability of company performance, including in public, private, manufacturing or service companies of various sizes. This research uses data and facts related to 11 companies from 21 listed companies in the plantation sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results of the research show that the issuer shares that have the best financial performance based on the financial distress analysis respectively and those that have not experienced bankruptcy are the LSIP and SMAR issuers, while the ones that have experienced the least pressure are the AALI issuers

Pengaruh Sales Growth, Likuiditas, dan Aset Tangibility terhadap Struktur Modal

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effects of sales growth, liquidity, and asset tangibility on capital structure. Methodology/approach: The research sample included as many as 14 companies in various industrial sectors of the automotive sub-sector for the period 2018-2022. Quantitative research using the associative approach method was used. The data used are secondary data, which are annual financial statements of automotive companies for the period to 2018-2022. The study population comprises various industrial sectors of the automotive subsectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis method used was multiple linear regression using SPSS version 23. Results: The sales growth variable has no significant effect on capital structure, the liquidity variable has a significant effect on capital structure, and the asset tangibility variable has no significant effect on capital structure. Limitations: The sample in the study only focuses on miscellaneous sector companies in various sectors of the automotive industry for the period 2018-2022 listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Contribution: Good sales growth makes investors hesitant to provide capital to the company, and a high liquidity value reflects the ability of the company to meet its short-term obligations. Companies with good liquidity values are considered to have good investor performance. Investors plan and analyze ratios in automotive financial reports to obtain a better understanding and information regarding financial performance. This is performed to achieve a predetermined investment objective.

ANALISIS ALTMAN Z”SCORE MODIFICATION DALAM MEMPREDIKSI FINANCIAL DISTRESS PERUSAHAAN PUBLIK SUB SEKTOR TRANSPORTASI YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESI (BEI)

This study aims to predict financial distress of transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using the Altman Z "Score Modification method. The data used is the company's financial statements for the 2019-2022 period. The sample for this study used purposive sampling in accordance with the company's criteria. The results of the study using the Altman Z "Score Modification method found that every year there are companies that are predicted to experience financial distress. In 2019 there were 6 companies that were predicted to experience financial distress, namely GIAA, ASSA, BTPR. TRJA, CMPP, and TAXI. In 2020, the 6 companies, namely GIAA, ASSA, BTPR, TRJA, CMPP, and TAXI, experienced financial distress again. In 2021 the number of companies experiencing financial distress is only 5 companies, namely GIAA, ASSA, BTPR, CMPP, and TAXI. However, in 2022 there were again 6 companies experiencing financial distress, namely ASSA, LRNA, BTPR, CMPP, TAXI, and Heli. Of the 9 companies, only 1 company has a healthy financial condition, namely PT Blue Bird Indonesia (BIRD), because for 4 years it has always been in the safe zone with a Z "score value above 2.6.

Banking sector stocks attract investors' attention. Investors consider stock prices before making an investment. The share price is a reflection of the company. If the company's financial performance is good, the shares will be in demand by investors. To anticipate mistakes in determining the company in investing, investors can check the company's performance by assessing financial ratios. Financial ratios can be obtained from the company's financial statements. Financial ratios such as profitability ratios and solvency ratios can affect the company's share price. Investors in investing want to get dividends from the shares purchased. By getting dividends, investors can decide to reinvest. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of profitability, solvency, dividends on stock prices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022 either partially or simultaneously. The results showed that partially profitability as measured by ROA and dividends as measured by DPR had an effect on stock prices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. Solvency as measured by DER has no effect on stock prices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. Simultaneously profitability, solvency, dividends affect the share price of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022.

INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS RATIO ANALYSIS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF SAVINGS AND CREDIT CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY IN KAKAMEGA COUNTY, KENYA

An essential function of Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOS) is to provide financial services to the underprivileged, who are not eligible for services provided by Formal Financial Institutions (FFIs). These SACCOS, however, face a number of difficulties that could affect how well they operate as a whole. The purpose of this study is to look into how financial statement analysis affects SACCO’s performance in Kakamega, Kenya. Examining a company's financial statements such as the income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet in order to evaluate its financial performance and make informed investment decisions is known as financial statement analysis. Because Kakamega, Kenya, has a large number of SACCOS and little research has been done in the area, it was chosen as the study location. Kakamega considerable agricultural output and comparatively high rates of poverty make it an ideal place to research how SACCOS help the underprivileged get financial access. The study specifically looked at how ratio analysis affects the performance of Sacco's in Kakamega, Kenya. The inquiry was conducted using a survey research design because it allows for the manipulation of variables and allows the researcher to choose and study distinct groups of people at one time. There were 830 respondents in the study population, of which 400 respondents made up the sample size determined by applying the Krecjie and Morgan methodology. Document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires were used to gather data. In order to examine the collected data, descriptive statistics such as means, frequencies, and percentages was used. A summary of the quantitative data was used to measure how strongly the variables are related. To determine the link between the independent and dependent variables, the researcher performed a multiple linear regression analysis. The study finished with a discussion of the significance of the findings for the success of SACCOS in Kakamega, Kenya, and recommendations for further research. The results were presented as tables, graphs, and pie charts. The study concluded that the majority of SACCOs in Kakamega, Kenya, recognize the significance of ratio analysis in monitoring and enhancing financial performance. With 85.3% of SACCOs employing ratio analysis, and recommended that the Policymakers can develop and enforce policies that promote the standardization of financial reporting practices across SACCOs. Many companies change their status from closed companies to public companies by releasing initial shares (IPO) to the public, including steps taken by PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. This step can create both positive and negative effects. This study seeks to examine the effect of the IPO on the company's financial performance. The financial ratio of businesses that choose to become public companies is the focus of this study in particular. This study uses secondary data from the company to develop quantitative method analysis. The current ratio, quick ratio, debt to equity ratio, return on equity, return on assets, and debt to asset ratio are the main subjects of the investigation and analysis. According to the analysis's findings, the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and debt to asset ratio are all significantly impacted negatively by the company's decision to become public. Return on equity, return on assets, and quick ratio are unaffected by changes in the company's status.

Determinan Financial Distress pada Perusahaan Sektor Healthcare

A company's financial condition is a crucial factor that determines the survival and growth of a company. Financial distress is a condition where a company is unable to meet its financial obligations on time, which often leads to bankruptcy. Early identification of the factors that influence financial distress becomes very important to prevent wider negative impacts, not only for the company itself but also for other stakeholders, including investors, employees, and business partners. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and firm size on financial distress in healthcare companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research uses a quantitative method. The research was conducted on Healthcare Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022, with the object of the research being healthcare companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. The results show that the significance value of ROA (0.047) is smaller than alpha (0.05), indicating that individually, the ROA variable has a significant effect on Financial Distress (FD). The significance value of CR (0.000) is much smaller than alpha (0.05), indicating that individually, the CR variable has a very significant effect on Financial Distress (FD). The significance value of FS (0.137) is greater than alpha (0.05), indicating that individually, the FS variable has no significant effect on Financial Distress (FD). Overall, the results show that the profitability (ROA) and liquidity (CR) variables have a significant effect on Financial Distress (FD), while the firm size (FS) variable has no significant effect
