Comparison of Disclosure Levels of GRI Standards on Companies Listed on the IDX (Case Study Energy and Financial Sector)

Sustainability Reports are a hot topic among investors, company management and other stakeholders. With the mandatory sustainability reporting by OJK, the need for Sustainability Reports increases. This research aims to determine the level of disclosure of GRI Standards in Sustainability Reports in companies in the energy sector and financial sector of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The content analysis method was used in this research to assess the content of sustainability reports from 53 selected companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022 period. The results of the analysis revealed that the level of disclosure of GRI Standards in energy sector companies was higher than in financial sector companies. Apart from that, in this research it is also known that the industry in which the company operates also influences the topics most frequently disclosed in the Sustainability Report.

Unveiling the drivers of green loan disclosures: a study of financial and governance determinants

Purpose This study aims to investigate the factors influencing Indian banks’ choice of green loan disclosure practices. The study analyzes the effect of financial and governance variables to understand the sustainable reporting (through green lending) behavior of Indian banks. Design/methodology/approach The data on green loan disclosure has been hand-collected from the annual reports using a content analysis approach. Using the data of 26 banks for 12 years (2012–2023), the study uses the panel regression method to control for cross-sectional heterogeneity and generalized methods of the moment to address potential endogeneity issues. Findings The empirical results depict that larger banks with sufficient risk capital and a strong corporate governance framework demonstrate greater disclosure of green loans. However, growth opportunities and higher market value impedes the reporting of green lending. Research limitations/implications The findings of the study will enhance the extant literature on sustainability disclosure by integrating the financial sector companies in the context of an emerging economy. However, future research may include nonbanking finance companies as well. Social implications Banks use societal deposits to invest in productive avenues, and therefore, it is paramount to understand their social and environmental consciousness while evaluating a financing proposal. This research provides a thorough understanding of the sustainable reporting of banks through the lens of green lending. Originality/value This research provides unique evidence on the bank-specific determinants of green loan disclosure in an emerging economy context as against the extant literature which primarily focused on sustainable reporting of nonfinancial companies.

Pengaruh Fraud Hexagon Terhadap Fraudulent Financial Statement pada Perusahaan Sektor Keuangan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2020 – 2022

This study aims to determine the effect of fraud hexagon on fraudulent financial statements. This research is classified as quantitative research. The sample of this study used financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022. In this study, the determination of samples was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The type of data used in this study is secondary data. The results can be concluded that external pressure, financial targets, significant effect on fraudulent financial statements, financial stability, nature of industry, ineffective monitoring, razionalization, capability, arrogance and political connection did not significantly affect the fraudulent financial statements

Pengaruh Perencanaan Pajak dan Penghindaran Pajak terhadap Nilai Perusahaan dengan Tranparansi Sebegai Variabel Moderasi (Studi Kasus pada Perusahaan Sektor Kuangan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan Transparansi Informasi Sebagai Variabel Moderasi)

The study aims to empirically examine and prove how tax planning and tax avoidance affect firm value, with information transparency as a moderating variable. This research utilizes a quantitative approach applied through causal research methods. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, and data analysis was performed using Eviews 12 software. The sample consists of 48 data points from 16 financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2022. The data analysis technique employs multiple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate that tax planning has no effect on firm value. Tax avoidance does not impact the value of the company. Information transparency can strengthen the effect of tax planning on firm value, and information transparency can enhance the impact of tax avoidance on a company's value.

Faktor yang Memengaruhi Prinsip Konservatisme Akuntansi di Perusahaan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Financial reports are guidelines used by various parties in making decisions. However, based on the survey, there are several companies that manipulate financial reports for both personal and company interests. One of the things that can cause financial reports to not be in accordance with the actual situation is the accounting method used, such as the application of accounting conservatism. This research was conducted to test the influence of the independent variables consisting of profitability, leverage, financial distress, and managerial ownership on the dependent variable, namely accounting conservatism. The population of this research consists of 305 data from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2022. Using purposive sampling techniques, only 87 data meet the research sample criteria and will be analyzed in this research. The research uses a multiple linear regression analysis method which aims to test the influence of more than one independent variable on one dependent variable. The results of this research are that profitability, leverage, financial distress, and managerial ownership simultanously influence accounting conservatism. Profitability, financial distress and leverage partially have no effect on accounting conservatism. Meanwhile, managerial ownership partially influences accounting conservatism.

Earnings management is an activity carried out by management by interfering in the preparation of a company's financial statements for the benefit of the company or individuals. The practice of earnings management can be detected using the financial performance approach, managerial ownership, and information asymmetry. This study aims to examine the effect of managerial ownership, information asymmetry, and profitability on earnings management carried out by companies. This study took the research population from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company financial reports that are used as samples. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method. For hypothesis testing, this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the expected research results in this study are: (1) Financial performance has a significant effect on earnings management; (2) Managerial ownership does not have a significant effect on earnings management; (3) Financial performance has a significant effect on information asymmetry; (4) Managerial ownership does not have a significant effect on information asymmetry; (5) Information asymmetry has an effect on earnings management; (6) Financial performance has an indirect effect on earnings management practices mediated by information asymmetry; (7) Managerial ownership has an indirect effect on earnings management practices mediated by information asymmetry

Pengendalian Manajemen Sebagai Upaya Mengoptimalkan Kinerja Keuangan

Background – The debt phenomenon is very crucial in the company. Many entrepreneurs go bankrupt or fail to pay due to debts owned by the company so that debt has a big pressure on generating company profits. Aim – This research is to analyze the influence of corporate governance on financial performance and external pressure as mediating variables. Design / methodology / approach – The cumulative method used to describe relationships in research and the analysis tool is Eviews.10 software. The sample used was 720 observation data from 144 financial sector companies for five years (2018-2022). Findings – This shows that the board has a significant negative impact on external pressure. Independent directors and commissioners have a significant positive influence on external pressure. The board of directors has a significant positive influence on financial performance. Board independence has no effect on financial performance. Board and external pressures have a material negative impact on financial performance. External pressure indirectly has a negative and significant influence on financial performance among independent directors and commissioners. We also provide active and authoritative mediation between the board of directors and financial performance. Conclusion – This needs to be taken into consideration that external pressure has a strong impact on independent directors and the board of commissioners so that the resulting performance will decrease, while the board of directors will have a strong impact on improving performance because the board of directors is able to control the pressure that arises from stakeholders. Research implication – For manufacturing companies, they will be able to see which ones can provide an increase in company profits so that they will be able to maximize corporate governance in managing the company's finances. Limitations – This research only uses one sector, namely manufacturing companies. This research needs to be expanded to different sectors.

The Role of Green Intellectual Capital and Busy Director as Moderators of the Influence of Prudence and Audit Tenure on Integrated Reports

Financial reports are financial information of a company in an accounting period that can be used to describe the performance of a company (Kashmir in Gayatri). Financial reports are said to be good if they have integrity over the information contained therein. Along with the convergence of IFRS, the concept of conservatism is now replaced by prudence, what is meant by prudence in IFRS is that revenue recognition may be recognized even though it is still potential, as long as it meets the provisions for revenue recognition but still uses the principle of prudence in its recognition. After SAK adopted IFRS. This study aims to test the effect of Prudence, Audit Tenure on the Integrated Report and examine whether there is a role of Green Intellectual Capital and Busy Director as a moderation of the influence of Prudence, Audit Tenure on the Integrated Report carried out by the company. This study took the research population from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company financial reports which are used as samples. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method. To test the hypothesis, this research uses multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of this study, it shows that prudence has an effect on the integrated report, Audit tenure does not have an effect on the audit report, Green Intellectual capital strengthens the effect of Prudence on the integrated report but busy directors do not strengthen the effect of Prudence on the integrated report. The Effect of Company Performance, Company Complexity, Company Size on the Board of Commissioners Structure Moderated by Managerial Ownership

The role of the Board of Commissioners is very important to minimize agency problems so that shareholder wealth maximization can be achieved. Under one board, a number of studies have investigated the effect of the effectiveness of the Board of Directors on their company's performance. In Indonesia, existing research related to the effectiveness of the Board of Commissioners investigates the effectiveness of the Board of Commissioners as one of the determining factors for the possibility of financial distress and investigates effectiveness. This study aims to examine the effect of Company Performance, Company Complexity, Company Size on the Structure of the Board of Commissioners and examine whether there is a role of Managerial Ownership as a moderation in the influence of Company Performance, Company Complexity, Company Size on the Structure of the Board of Commissioners carried out by the company. This study took the research population from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2022. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company financial reports that are used as samples. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method. For hypothesis testing, this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that company performance has a significant effect on the Board of Commissioners Structure, then Company Complexity and Company Size do not have a significant effect on the Board of Commissioners structure. Managerial Ownership strengthens the influence of Company Performance on the Board of Commissioners Structure. Managerial Ownership does not strengthen the influence of Company Complexity and Company Size on the Board of Commissioners Structure.

Pengaruh Nilai Perusahaan, Konservatisme Terhadap Opini Audit Going Concern dan Kualitas Laba

Every entity has an obligation to provide financial reports to stakeholders. Auditors have an important role as intermediaries between stakeholders as users of financial reports and entities or companies as providers of financial reports. Going concern is the ability of a business unit to maintain its survival for a reasonable period of time, which is no more than one year from the date of the audited financial statements This study aims to test two influences, namely the influence of Company Value and conservatism on the going concern audit opinion carried out by the company and the influence of Company Value and conservatism on Earnings Quality. This study took the research population from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2021. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of financial reports of companies that are used as samples. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method. For hypothesis testing, this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of this study, it shows that Firm Value has an effect on Earnings Quality, but Conservatism have not effect on Earnings Quality. Based on the results of this study, it shows that Firm Value has an effect on Opinion Audit Going Concern, but Conservatism have not effect on Opinion Audit Going Concern

PENGARUH GROWTH OPPORTUNITY, STRUKTUR MODAL DAN KEBIJAKAN DIVIDEN TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN (STUDI EMPIRIS PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR KEUANGAN DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA TAHUN 2018-2022)

This study aims to prove and obtain empirical evidence of the Influence of Growth Opportunity, Capital Structure, and Dividend Policy on Company Value. This study also uses a sample of financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of financial reports and annual reports. The sampling method uses the Purposive Sampling method, where from 97 financial sector companies a sample of 23 companies was obtained for 5 years so that 115 sample data were obtained. The analysis used is Panel Data Regression Analysis using the Random Effect Model (CEM) Regression and the data was processed using Eviews Software version 12. The results obtained show that the Feasibility Test (f test) that Company Value is simultaneously influenced by Growth Opportunity, Capital Structure and Dividend Policy. The results obtained show that the Partial Test (t test) shows that only the Capital Structure variable has a positive and significant effect on Company Value. Meanwhile, the Growth Opportunity variables and Dividend Policy do not have a significant effect on the Company Value variable.

Detecting Financial Statement Fraud Using the Hexagon Fraud Theory Approach in Financial Sector Companies

Good companies do not commit fraud and provide accurate and relevant information. Therefore, financial reports must be made as well as possible in order to provide accu-rate information to its users. This research is quantitative in nature to analyze the influence of the Fraud Hexagon Theory which is proxied by sixteen variables, consist-ing of four variables from the stimulus element (financial targets, external pressure, financial stability, personal financial needs), three variables from the opportunity ele-ment (supervision ineffectiveness, auditor quality and nature of the industry), two variables from the rationalization element (auditor turnover and value accruals), two variables from the capability element (director turnover and CEO education), two variables from the ego element (CEO duality and the number of CEO photos in the annual report), and three variables from collusion elements (political connections, audit fees and collaboration with government projects) on fraudulent financial statements. This research uses secondary data with purposive sampling. In 2019-2022, there are 63 financial sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The results of this research prove that financial targets, financial stability, supervisory ineffective-ness, nature of industry and CEO duality influence financial report fraud.

Sustainability and software development projects: leadership, core self-evaluation and empowerment as critical success factors

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to integrate job demands–resources theory with core self-evaluation theory to examine how and when sustainable project leadership stimulates sustainable project performance. Psychological empowerment is used as a mechanism between sustainable project leadership and sustainable project performance, whereas core self-evaluation acts as a moderator between sustainable project leadership and psychological empowerment. Design/methodology/approach This study adopts a time-lagged two-phase approach to collecting data from 257 software engineers working in medium-sized and large companies in the Polish financial sector. Findings This study reveals the direct and indirect (through psychological empowerment) effects of sustainable project leadership on sustainable project performance. It also confirms that the “sustainable project leadership–psychological empowerment” relationship strengthens with increasing level of project team members’ core self-evaluation. Originality/value This article explores a unique research framework. It significantly enriches the literature on sustainable project management, increasing the understanding of effective leadership practices that address the needs of software engineering teams to support sustainable project performance.

THE EFFECT OF TAX AVOIDANCE AND CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ONFIRM VALUE WITH SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING AS MODERATION

The research employs Sustainability Reporting as a moderating variable. We aim to discover of Sustainability Reporting roles on the influence of Tax Avoidance and Corporate Governance on Firm Value. This research is a quantitative study with a data panel analysis. The sample used in this study was data from financial reports of financial sector companies published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website from 2018 to 2021. The sample was selected from 94 companies using a purposive sampling technique. The data are analyzed using panel regression models. Research findings reveal that tax avoidance and corporate governance do not have a significant effect on firm value, and tax avoidance and corporate governance on firm value moderating by sustainability reporting also have no significant effect on firm value. This is because the financial sector consists mostly of banks, subject to stricter supervision than other sectors, so many data measurements are difficult to obtain. The research delivers understanding and information on behalf of the influence of tax avoidance and corporate governance with sustainability reporting as moderating on firm value, particularly for the financial sector in Indonesia.

PENGARUH LEVERAGE, PROFITABILITAS, DAN STRUKTUR MODAL TERHADAP PAJAK PENGHASILAN BADAN DENGAN BIAYA OPERASIONAL SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERASI STUDI KASUS SEKTOR PERUSAHAAN KEUANGAN

In the tax system, corporate income tax is a significant type of tax. Law number 36 of 2008 concerning income tax states that corporate income tax is imposed on tax subjects for income received or earned in the tax year. It is necessary to understand how certain factors can influence the amount of income tax that must be paid by financial sector companies registered on the IDX in the 2019-2022 period. The factors that are the focus of the research are leverage (debt ratio), company profitability, and capital structure. Apart from that, the research will also examine whether operational costs act as a moderating variable that can influence the relationship between leverage, profitability, and capital structure and corporate income tax. This research aims to analyze and test the influence of Leverage, Profitability and Capital Structure which have a positive and significant influence on corporate income tax

The Influence of Environmental, Social, Governance and Capital Structure Performance on Financial Performance

This study aims to analyze the influence of Enviromental, Social and Governance (ESG), and capital structure on financial performace. This type of research is quantitative research with secondary data sources. The population in this study is financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2018-2022. The sample selection method used in this study is purposive sampling wich undergoes an outlier process, so that the final sample obtained is 10 companies. The result of the study shows that silmutaneously the variables of Enviromental, Social and Governance (ESG) and capital structure have an effect on financial performance. The result show that companies had high ESG scores and low capital structures can improve their financial performance. Then partially the Enviromental, Social and Governance (ESG) variables have an influence on financial performance. The result show that companies with high ESG scores have the potential to improve the company’s financial performance. Furthermore, the capital structure variable has no effect on financial performance. The result show that Bank companies with a large amount of debt cannot affect the company’s financial performance.

Factors Affecting Profit Quality in Non-Bank Financial Sector Companies

Purpose –PeThis study aims to analyze the effect of profit growth, capital structure, investment opportunity set, and audit committee on profit quality in non-bank financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2021. Methodology/approach –This research is a causal research with a quantitative approach. Secondary data in this study were obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) or the company's official website. The sampling method used the purposive sampling method and obtained 45 companies with 3 years of research. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS version 25 application. Findings –The results of this study indicate that profit growth has no effect on profit quality, capital structure has a significant positive effect on profit quality, investment opportunity set has a significant negative effect on profit quality, and the audit committee has no effect on profit quality. Novelty/value –This study proves that the investment opportunity set is a factor that drives an increase in the quality of company profits as proxied by the Market to Book Value of Assets Ratio.

Pengaruh Peran Komite Audit, Reputasi Akuntan Publik dan Opini Audit Terhadap Auditor Switching Secara Voluntary

This research aims to examine the influence of the role of the audit committee, public accountant reputation and audit opinion on voluntary auditor switching in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2019-2022 period. This research is quantitative research. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The number of samples during the research year amounted to 92 data. The statistical method used is logistic regression analysis. The research results show that the role of the audit committee and audit opinion do not have a significant effect, but the reputation of public accountants has a negative effect on voluntary auditor switching in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the 2019-2022 period.

Pengaruh Profitabilitas, Leverage, Likuiditas, Kualitas Audit Dan Agresivitas Pajak Terhadap Manajemen Laba Pada Perusahaan Sektor Keuangan Yang Terdaftar Di BEI Tahun 2018 – 2021

This research was formulated whether or not there are influence of probability, leverage, liquidity, audit quality and tax aggressiveness toward earnings management in financial sector companies listed on the idx 2019-2021. The purpose of the research was to figure out the are influence of probability , leverage, liquidity, audit quality and tax aggressiveness toward earnings management in financial sector companies listed on the idx 2019-2021. This type of research used a quantitative descriptive type. The variables of this research were probability, leverage, liquidity, audit quality, tax aggressiveness and earnings management. The data collection technique used was the documentation method. The documentationmethod was used as the basis for analyzing the data. The documentation was in the form of financial report. The analysis technique used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the test for coefficient of determintation obtained an R square result of 0,006 or 6%, which means that the influence of probability, leverage, liquidity, audit quality and tax aggressiveness toward earnings management wasn’t too large. The results showed that probability, liquidity, audit quality and tax aggressiveness had no effect on earnings management, while leverage had an effect on earnings management.

Audit Committee as A Moderating Variable: Factors Influencing Audit Quality in Financial Sector on the IDX

This study aims to determine the effect of audit quality, namely audit tenure, audit rotation, and audit fees on audit quality in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In addition, this study also aims to determine whether the audit committee can be used as a moderating variable in the model. The type of data used in this research is secondary data. The technique of determining the sample is using purposive sampling. The samples obtained in this study were 17 manufacturing companies listed on the IDX from 2017 to 2021. The data analysis technique used was panel data regression analysis and interaction test (moderating) which was carried out with the help of EVIEWS version 10 software. The results in this study indicate that partial tenure audits have a positive effect on audit quality and are not significant. Audit rotation has a negative effect on audit quality and not significant. Audit fees have a negative effect on audit quality and not significant. The audit committee is unable to moderate audit tenure, audit rotation, audit fees on audit quality.
