Supply Chain Networks Source of Knowledge Sharing: Impacts of Capability and Collaborative Innovation Activities on Innovation Performance

Critical evaluation of organizational structure and culture impact on the productivity of MFIs within the example of Agroleasing Leasing Credit Company LLC in Armenia

Nowadays, for surviving in dynamic and global environment, companies need to have strong organizational culture to have competitive production or service, flexibility for quick response of environmental changes, which can be achieved by optimal organizational structure. It will impact on the whole company's productivity and influence on better performance and duties balance.  The main purpose of this study is to identify the cultural and structural issues of the MFIs in Armenia, examine the best practice and give improvement action plan. Based on the literature review there are diverse studies that prove the relationship between structure and culture of the company and their correlation with productivity. Actually, organizational structure and culture have a great influence on the productivity, as the formal and informal communications between employees predict the level of their work efficiency. Being a driver of a company's execution, organizational culture and structure are connected with different activity outcomes. While examining the current situation in Agroleasing few problems were identified in accordance with productivity of the company. One of them is connected with the complicated organizational structure as there are several positions that are not used in reality. The other was linked with the absence of cultural behavior; the employees are acting based on their preferences and professional level. These two issues had a serious impact on the performance of the company. Summarizing the best approaches of literature review and identifying the problems of Agroleasing, several test-cases were organized in order to evaluate the current efficiency of the organizational structure and to understand the roots of employee's diverse behavior approaches. According to the results of researches recommendations were highlighted for each sphere. A new organizational structure was offered in order to simplify the complexity of the duties, also servant leadership behavior was recommended as a way of better internal cultural environment creation.

Services Redesign Strategies for Demand and Capacity Management and Impact on Company Performance

This review investigates the connections between chosen supply chain risks (SCR), utilization of services redesign strategies (SRS) and the effect on company execution. An empirical framework is proposed where the presence of SCRs influences the use of SRS to handle peak and lean demand has been explored. The research is conducted through normative juridical method approach with descriptive analytical research specifications, and data analysis performed with qualitative methods. This study results shown, firstly, the actual legal basis for the efforts of Shares Guarantee Seizure is contained in article 227 section (1) of HIR in conjunction with Article 511 of The Indonesian Civil Code, as long as its implementation fulfills the basic requirements. Therefore, the Judges are forbidden to refer to Book II of Technical Guidelines for Administrative and Practical Civil Justice as a basis of legal considerations in their verdict, given that these guidelines are not the product regulation. Secondly, there are several distinct in the execution mechanisms of Shares Guarantee Seizure towards limited companies, concludes that Guarantee Seizure of a private company stock is merely administrative by way a Bailiff registered the stock identity in Department of Law and Human Rights (Depkumham), that no obstacles were encountered in performing the execution. While shares guarantee seizure execution of a public company is way too difficult because it is hard to identify respective stocks on Stock Market. Juridically speaking, the stock is happened to be seized, but the execution is not possible to comply. Both mechanisms have not been asserted in HIR, therefore the rule itself became unclear, whereas rules supposed to achieve legal certainty. Hence, to obtain legal certainty, new product regulations for Procedure of Civil Law are required in legislation (wet) arrangement, which should accommodate most of legal issues dynamics in Indonesia.

The Sustainability and Durability of the Building Seen through the Education-Business Relationship

The present article aims at proposing a new format of courses for the college graduates of Bachelor and Master of Science degree. It presents a questionnaire that shows the opinions and needs of employers on graduates and the connection of the subjects taught in university with the labour market. Today, the demand for engineers in the labour market is growing, but the employers want to select people with good theoretical knowledge and positive attitude towards work. The idea of the article started as a result of the trilateral meetings of teachers-students-business environment on the occasion of the presentation of new technologies and products, on the construction market (Construct, build together Info, etc.). Research starts with a set of questions addressed to the representatives of construction companies. The questions included in the questionnaire target three related aspects, which link educational plans with the labour market, the importance of practice in the selection of future employees and other skills of prospective employees from the construction sector. The relevant findings of the questionnaire will be transmitted to both companies, as well as the execution of design firms, namely the public institutions for the administration area. The first set of questions refers to the field of activity of the company (design, execution, administration and sales), the average number of job opportunities for young engineers over the last 5 years and what other properties are favoured in the graduates of higher education. The second set of questions relates to the employment interview (transcript, theoretical knowledge and/or tests of brain training/intelligence). The third set of questions refers to the willingness to take a student into practice in their knowledge or whether the job seeker is preferred for employment solely on the basis of interviews or only after being surveyed over a period of time. The results are given in graphs, and aspects related to linking education with production, the importance of the practice during the years of study and other skills required by employers are highlighted. From the conclusions drawn in the present research, proposals will be made towards universities regarding the content of the educational plans to raise the compatibility between business and academic education.

Pawnshop Company is a State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), which is engaged in the business of providing credit services and applicable statutory lien for anyone with a moving objects collateral requirement. In order to develop the business, so Government Regulation No. 103 of 2000 was issued, stated of the granting of the loan based on the collateral of fiduciary money. As an institution that provides credit to guarantee the fiduciary shall comply with the provisions set out in Law No. 42 of 1999, especially Article 11, paragraph (1) which states that the objects are burdened with fiduciary collateral required to be registered, but in reality there is no Pawnshop Company comply with Article 11 paragraph (1) of Law No. 42 of 1999 on Fiduciary. Based on the gap das sein and das sollen, then can be formulated the problem of how fiduciary guarantee enrollment application pursuant to Article 11 paragraph (1) of Law No. 42 of 1999 on Company Pawnshop and how execution of fiduciary insurance company that is not registered by the Company Pawnshop when borrowers are in default.
 Empirical legal research is used in this thesis, because it’s getting out of the gap between das Sein and das sollen. The approach used in this thesis is the legislation approach, case-based approach, and the analytical approach. The nature of the research in this study was a descriptive study, sites in the Pawnshop Company branch Denpasar and Tabanan. The data used in this thesis is the primary data / field data and secondary data / literature. Data collecting techniques used in this thesis is planned interview techniques and reading literature. Sampling techniques used in this thesis is purposive sampling and the data obtained are presented in descriptive qualitative.
 The results of this problem study is application of fiduciary guarantee enrollment on the Pawnshops Company, that disobedience to law number 42 of 1999 Article 11 paragraph (1) was happened, while the execution of fiduciary insurance company that is not registered by Pawnshop Company if debtor in default is done by a family way.

An exploratory study of strategic operations audit methods in services

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to close the gap between theoretical approaches to strategic operations auditing and empirical analysis of practice in service organisations. Through analysis of the two different views of strategy formulation – environment‐market and resource‐based – the paper aims to provide insights on how strategic operations audit methods are being used and under what circumstances.Design/methodology/approachThe case study methodology was employed which involved a three‐stage data collection and analytical process. Its purpose was to identify how strategic operations audit methods were being used, why they were used and the particular circumstances of their use. Trails of operational improvement within each of six case studies show links between service operational activities, the benefits achieved by the improvements and the formulation and/or execution of each service company's business strategy. These trails of improvement provided a means by which to reveal some of the strategic operations audit methods being used. In addition, interviews and analysis of supporting documentation ensured the complete set of methods being utilised was identified.FindingsThe results indicate three main findings. First it is recognised that the service companies all look to adopt a top down approach to strategic operations auditing and seek to maintain, and where possible, gain greater strategic impact from their service operations. Second, the competitive state of the business impacts the choice of strategic operations audit method used. All companies studied employed an environment‐market method to assess operations – market fit. Only when a company is confident of its competitive position will managers then look to also devise a resource‐based method in order to assess its current ability to nurture new capabilities to exploit. Third, companies use a variety of integration techniques to verify on‐going cohesion across infrastructural decision‐making categories of the content of service operations strategy. The assessment of cohesion within service operations strategy takes place within subsets of the content of the strategy. The authors did not find integration techniques that hone structural decision categories or service operations strategy as a whole. The results also show that methods used by managers are pale imitations of the rigorous procedures originally devised by researchers.Practical implicationsService operations managers possess inadequate understanding of how the application of a strategic operations audit method should be made and limited ability to undertake the audit in a structured and meaningful way. A strategic operations audit methods selection process is put forward to remedy this. The process acknowledges that the choice of a particular method is contingent on the stage of development of the company's service operations strategy. It guides managers through the decision‐making process of what strategic operations audit method to use and when managers should be using it. The message for academics is that new resource‐based methods need to be created that are accessible to managers and relevant when service operations strategy has successfully evolved to the point where greater influence is being sought from it in the formulation of business strategy.Originality/valueAn empirical study within service operations management of the practice of strategic operations auditing is rare. The paper's findings begin to address the gap between theory and practice. The paper presents revisions and additions to the operations manager's tool kit of strategic operations audit methods and culminates in a selection process to guide managers on which tool to use and when.

The converging business models of Internet and bricks-and-mortar retailers

The authors discuss the advantages and disadvantages of traditional store-based and online retailing. To minimise the drawbacks, the emerging trend in retailing is a covergence of the two business models of retailing. Several examples of major companies in `bricks-and-mortar' and `online retailing' are cited. In particular, it is pointed out that the stakes are not as clearly in favour of the pure Internet retailers, as often portrayed — the quality of execution of the individual company is paramount.
