Subak Lungatad in Preventing Land Conversion through the Revision of Awig – Awig

Subak is a community organization that specializes in regulating the rice field irrigation system used in rice cultivation in Bali, one of which is Subak Lungatad Yang in Peguyangan Kangin Village, North Denpaar. Subak Lungatad has a customary law norm called Awig-Awig. Awig-Awig is a customary law norm that is formulated and regulates the behavior pattern of community members in interacting in order to create order and peace, meaning that Awig-Awig grows and is formulated so that the life of the community in the customary village is not damaged. However, in the application of awig – awig Subak is also lived by the Balinese people as a concept of life, because it is a direct manifestation of the philosophy called Tri Hita Karana. There is a problem that arises in the awigs in Subak Lungatad is that they have not regulated and can anticipate changes in land use change in the subak Lungatad district Land use change in the last 1 year covering an area of 0.8 hectares, which is in Subak Lungatad, from the area of Subak 114 hectares. From this data, it can be described that land use change is still occurring. Pekaseh Subak Lungatad, I Made Maja, revealed that Subak Lungatad is part of the irrigation area of Kedewatan Pasedahan Yeh Lauh, Peguyangan Kangin Village, North Denpasar District. With a raw land area of 120 hectares, all of them are semi-irrigated. The subak land continues to experience pressure due to land conversion, there tends to be housing development. This condition is certainly really concerning for the future of rice fields and agriculture of the people of Denpasar. The participation of Krama Subak in preventing the conversion of agricultural land into housing can be done by including the rules in the awig-awig subak. Although the existing awig subak has not yet regulated it, it can be made in the form of a perarem or implementing rule of the awig- awig. The role of subak as a traditional organization in the field of water use at the farming level in indigenous peoples. The important role of the subak system is closely related to the strength of the subak itself, including the simplicity of the organizational structure, a cooperative work system and the implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. One of them is related to weakness which is also related to the lands in the subak lungakad area. The Awig Subak Lungatad that was made has not been regulated for a long time in anticipating changes in land use.

The Role of Good Governance in the Performance of Village-Owned (Bum Desa) Enterprises

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) are a potential vehicle for community empowerment. The business fields of BUM Desa can be in the economic and/or public services sectors which are managed with a spirit of family and mutual cooperation. BUM Desa management requires attention in order to achieve the objectives of establishing BUM Desa. Description of the implementation of governance and performance as a study on BUM Desa Penggung Lestari is carried out through its website. Data and information from the annual report and regulations on the establishment of BUM Desa Penggung Lestari and Government Regulation No. 11 of 2021 are used as the basis for its evaluation. Management of BUM Desa Penggung Lestari with the principles of professionalism, transparency, responsibility, participatory; equal, fair, and legal certainty. Its performance is shown by the total assets increasing by 145%, income increasing by 59%, and 98% of its employees being absorbed from the village community, building stakeholder trust and achieving economic and social goals. The involvement of professional organizations and universities can help BUM Desa managers in implementing the principles of good governance in BUM Desa in accordance with Peraturan Pemerintah Number 11 of 2021concerning Badan Umum Milik Desa and meet the expectations of the Regulation of the Peraturan Menteri Desa, Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal, dan Transmigrasi Number 3 of 2021.

Strengthening social cohesion through the Manyanda tradition in Minangkabau customary society: A cultural insight from West Sumatera, Indonesia

Manyanda tradition, a tradition of taking over social roles after death, in addition to successfully maintaining social continuity in the family structure, is also a potential capital in strengthening social cohesion. However, this context has not been discussed comprehensively in previous studies so it is very important to explain. In addition to responding to the shortcomings of previous studies, this study also aims to explain the mechanisms, factors and implications of the practice of this tradition as a reflection of social cohesion based on customary and religious values. By using a qualitative descriptive case study approach, this study shows three important findings. First, the spontaneity of the community and traditional leaders when hearing the news of death and social activities forty days afterwards. Second, the dominance of spiritual and cultural factors in addition to social and structural factors that encourage the community to preserve this tradition. Third, the Manyanda tradition has implications for strengthening the community’s commitment and belief in the meaning of death, the importance of a replacement figure who takes over social roles and strengthens the tribal identity of the Nagari (local village) community. This study recommends the importance of this tradition to be preserved as the root of social cohesion.

SWOT Strategy in Strengthening the Role of Village Community Empowerment Institutions: An Islamic Law Perspective

This research addresses important issues identified during capacity-building study meetings, including community confusion regarding the function of community empowerment institutions, low levels of participation, and fragmented stakeholder perceptions, all of which impact the effectiveness of village development. This research uses qualitative methods; data collection involves interviews and literature reviews. SWOT analysis assesses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of community empowerment institutions. Analysis shows that community empowerment institutions have difficulty facilitating community input and holding development planning meetings effectively, thereby hampering participatory governance. Despite these challenges, the Institute has demonstrated strength in mediating community-government dialogue and motivating communal efforts, although improvements in program evaluation and structural cohesion are needed. The study found that the institute is in line with Islamic principles such as ukhuwwah (brotherhood) and ta'awun (cooperation) by empowering communities through inclusive development planning and mutual cooperation. This research concludes that the implementation of Law Number 6 of 2014 by the Community Empowerment Institute has had a positive impact despite the challenges. This research recommends increasing community awareness, strengthening institutional capacity, and fostering greater synergy between institutions and village governments to achieve sustainable and inclusive development.

Sosialisasi Tentang Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Berbudaya Dalam Meningkatkan Pembelajaran Menuju Desa Unggul (Studi Kasus Desa Gedangsasri, Kab Gunung Kidul)

Community service activities through the Community Partnership Program (PKM) Community Empowerment Learning aims to improve the knowledge and skills of cultured village communities in improving learning methods towards superior villages. This activity is in line with the Tri Dharma of higher education and provides learning experiences while working through community empowerment activities in Banaran Village, Playen, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. Judging from the graphic location of the village, it can be used as a potential to develop and provide new knowledge to the community. The target group together with Lecturers and Students carry out PkM activities together. The training activities carried out are the use of computers and teaching training in schools. The results of community service activities through the PKM program have increased community skills in using computers and insight into education.

Socio-economic Dimensions of Forest Honey (Bees dorsata) Business Development in Hiay Wetar Village, Southwest Maluku

This research aims to 1) Understand the socio-economic characteristics of the community in developing the forest honey business - Apis dorsata bees. 2) Analyze the level of income from the forest honey business - Apis dorsata bees by the community in Hiay-Wetar village, Southwest Maluku. The research was conducted in Hiay Wetar village, Southwest Maluku in January-February 2024 using a purposive sampling method with 25 families as respondents. Primary and secondary data were taken through direct observation and interviews with respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using a quantitative and descriptive qualitative approach. The research results show that the social characteristics of the community greatly influence the respondents' activities in collecting/harvesting forest honey, namely age, education level, experience in collecting forest honey, number of family dependents, and income. Collecting honey bee hives starts with marking the tree, harvesting and packaging the honey is still done using simple production equipment and traditional techniques based on local knowledge and wisdom from generation to generation. The collection of forest honey by the people of Hiay Wetar village is called "cut wani "which means cut honey" and air wani which means honey bee water. In a year there are two honey harvests (cut wani), namely in April – June and October – December with a total production of 1500 liters per year and total sales of IDR 180,000,000/year. Net income of IDR 169,915,000.00 and R/C return ratio analysis of the honey business has a decent ratio with flat R/C = IDR 18.03. Keywords: economy, Apis dorsata bees, income, social, forest honey

The Profile of Students' Science Process Skills on Heat and Its Transfer Content Using an Ethnoscience Approach (Uha Food Making in Liang Village, Central Maluku)

Physics learning can be carried out by involving cultural elements in it. One approach that can be used is ethnoscience—an integrated physics learning with the culture of making the typical food of the Liang Village Community in Central Maluku Regency, namely Uha. The production process of Uha can be used to teach the concept of heat and its transfer and also to train science process skills to students. This research involved 23 students who were residents of Liang Village. The instrument for data collection was a set of 13 science process skills test questions. Students’ worksheets were analyzed descriptively. Based on the analysis results, each process skill indicator were found to be poor. Thus, it can be concluded that the students’ science process skills still need to be trained in an integrated manner in physics learning activities in the classroom. The Key Success Factor for Sustainable Rural Tourism Development in Madura Using Integration of the IPA-Kano Model

The momentum for the rise of global tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic has become an opportunity for developing local tourism and Indonesia's creative economy. One of the promising tourism regions in Indonesia is Madura. The tourism potentials on the island of Madura are historical, religious, natural, and cultural. Unfortunately, Madura's tourism potential has not been fully utilized, and as a result, the benefits have not emerged to strengthen the Madurese community's economy. In addition, tourism development directions are also partial without looking at environmental sustainability, community welfare, and other social aspects. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the key success factors of sustainable tourism by integrating the Important-Performance Analysis method with the Kano model. This study was conducted in Sampang, Madura, specifically in a tourist village called Bira Tengah. The result of the study is that the tourist village should adopt key success factors such as leading to maintaining the destination environment, improving the contribution of tourists and local communities in area conservation, increasing the competitiveness of tourist destinations, conducting more intensive tourism promotions, creating fun tourism activities, increasing participation of the community and stakeholders of tourist villages, using local and environmentally friendly materials, improving the cleanliness of destinations, disseminating local cultural information and increasing employment opportunities. The cultural factors are a highlight in improving sustainable tourism performance. In addition, to enhance tourism performance, it needs to benchmark with developed and autonomous tourist villages that have demonstrated success in sustainable tourism.

Pelatihan Pengolahan Minuman Berbahan Lokal Menjadi Produk Bernilai Ekonomi di Desa Margacinta, Pangandaran

This community service activity aims to improve basic knowledge of skills in making drinks from plantations and agriculture that grow around the village, as well as to improve the entrepreneurial spirit for managers of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) and Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in Margacinta Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency. The activity was carried out at the Karangkamal Hamlet Hall and was attended by 25 participants. The delivery method was carried out using interactive and demonstrative counseling techniques, with the aim of transforming knowledge, attitudes and skills as well as achieving prosperous village communities. The results of the activity showed an increase in the skills and understanding of the participants regarding the utilization and knowledge of plantations and agriculture, namely coconut and honje, which are processed into mixed drinks with the hope that the benefits, uses, processing and results of the drinks contained therein can be obtained. as well as in terms of processing plantation and agricultural products from the garden to being served in a glass, as well as the motivation and follow-up of participants in making, producing and even consuming their own beverage products along with the utilization of other commodities have been successfully improved through this activity.

Identifying the Relationship Between Residential Type and Health Outcomes of the Community-Dwelling Thai Older Adults in the Baseline Analysis of a Cluster-Randomized Controlled Trial

Background/Objectives: As people age, their environment plays a critical role in shaping their health. With Thailand’s rapidly aging population, it is crucial to understand how different living environments affect the well-being of older adults. This study examines differences in biopsychosocial health indicators between older adults living in village communities and private housing estates in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using baseline data from the Community-Integrated Intermediary Care (CIIC) Service Model, a Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial in Thailand (TCTR20190412004). The study included 2788 older adults (aged 60+). Of these, 89.49% resided in village communities, and 10.51% in private housing estates. Validated instruments were used to assess health indicators. Descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis of variance, and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed. Results: Older adults in private housing estates had significantly lower odds of experiencing pain or discomfort (Adj OR: 0.64, 95% CI: 0.49–0.84) and were 1.36 times more likely to report positive perceived health. However, they had lower odds of perceiving themselves as physically and socially active (Adj OR: 0.74, 95% CI: 0.57–0.97) and were 0.30 times less likely to rate their quality of life higher (Adj OR: 0.30, 95% CI: 0.22–0.40) compared to their village community counterparts. Conclusions: The residential environment significantly influences older adults’ health and well-being. Tailored health promotion interventions should leverage the unique strengths of both village communities and private housing estates to enhance social connections, physical activity, and quality of life, promoting healthy, active aging across diverse settings.

Efforts to Develop Tourism Village Programs in an Effort to Improve Original Village Income in Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village, Mejono Village Plemahan District, Kediri Regency

Gronjong Wariti is a village tourism that has the characteristic of providing a tourist village as an entertainment object for tourists. The development of Gronjog Wariti Tourism Village has been attempted to develop to face a number of obstacles, including the many informal tourism managers. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects are the Head of Mejono Village, the Head of the Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village Management Board, community leaders and residents of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village. Interviews and observations are used in data collection. In this study, data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data and presenting data to draw conclusions. The findings of this study explain that efforts to develop Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village can be seen from the aspects of tourist objects and attractions, tourism infrastructure, tourism facilities, and management/infrastructure management, the community. In terms of tourist objects and destinations, the village government has coordinated with the people to clean and rearrange tourist objects so that they can be visited by tourists. In terms of tourism infrastructure, the management of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village works together with the community to provide places of worship, parking lots, toilets, food stalls, souvenir shops, and others. In terms of tourism facilities, the management of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village has collaborated with the community to provide home accommodation and transportation services for tourists. In terms of management/infrastructure, the village government has developed a regulatory system to manage and develop tourism villages. In terms of the village community, the village government has made socialization to the community and tourism managers.

Analisis Peran Petani Tambak Dalam Meningkatkan Pendapatan Ekonomi dan Kesejahteraan Pada Masyarakat

This study aims 1) to determine the role of pond farmers in enhancing the productivity of milkfish and shrimp, 2) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in pond farming, and 3) to determine the impact of the ponds on the economic income and welfare of the community of Patuhu village. The study adopted a qualitative approach. The result indicated that the role of pond farmers in enhancing pond productivity has a positive impact. It is necessary to optimize available resources, such as human resources, for innovations that are cultivated to support the progress of the pond. Then, the supporting factors of the pond business include, first, the type of fish seeds used, second, natural factors (weather), third, technological factors (fertilizers). Then, the inhibiting factors in the pond business include: First, the difficulty of getting non-organic fertilizers, second, diseases and pests, third, weather (drought). In addition, the income enhancement is the result of the work of the farmers, where the employment opportunities provided by the pond farmers have changed the lives of people who work as farmers or pond managers and those who work for the company. Pond farmers consist of teenagers or adults and who are married or unmarried. In conclusion, productivity is a process of improving the results to be achieved, where the results of the ponds in Patuhu village have changed. In running a pond business, pond farmers encounter many things, such as supporting and inhibiting factors. The inhibiting factors are difficulty in getting fertilizer, hot weather, pests and diseases. Then, pond farmers' role in enhancing the community's economic income has a very positive impact. In this case, the employment opportunities provided by pond farmers have resulted in a notable positive impact on the individuals engaged in various roles such as cultivators, pond managers, and company employees. In brief, all of this has brought changes to them. Finally, the outcomes derived from pond farmers contribute to the overall prosperity of the community, enabling children to attend school and ansuring their daily necessities are adequately provided for.

PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KEBERADAAN RUMAH WALET DI DESA WATUTAU KECAMATAN LORE PEORE KABUPATEN POSOSULAWESI TENGAH

This research aims to determine the public's perception of the existence of swallow houses in Watutau Village, Lore Peore District, Poso Regency, and the factors that influence people's perceptions of swallow houses. In this research, the population was taken from a community located at a radius of 250 meters, namely 31 heads of families, the number of samples taken was 31 respondents. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The research method used by the survey method is one of the information collection techniques carried out by compiling a list of questions asked to respondents at the research location. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics using grouping, simplification and presentation of data such as frequency distribution tables and measurements using the likert and chi- square scales. Based on the results of the study, the perception of the community in Watutau Village, Lore Peore District, Poso Regency, is in the category of Disturbed / Disagreed with the exis tence of swallow houses and the most influential factors in the perception of the community in Watutau Village, Lore Peore District, Poso Regency are the distance of houses on sound and socio-cultural indicators on community perceptions.

Siasat Kebudayaan Komunitas Adat Dayak Lepoq terhadap Kebijakan Pelarangan Membakar Lahan di Desa Lung Anai Kecamatan Loa Kulu Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara

This study focused on the cultural strategies of the Dayak Kenyah traditional community in Lung Anai Village in farming practices as a response to the government policy concerning controlling forest and land burn. The cultural strategy referred to was a social practice related to the management and utilization of local resources, including the practice of local wisdom in farming in the form of burning which is passed down from one generation to the next. The research method that the researcher used was a type of qualitative descriptive research with data collection carried out by means of observation and in-depth interviews. The findings from this research were that the response of the Dayak Kenyah Lung Anai to the policy of prohibiting land burning was very diverse. The public responded to this policy in two ways, namely attitudes and actions. Their attitude was gossip and the actions of the community were carrying out one-time demonstrations. The Lung Anai community had a closed resistance, namely burning in the afternoon until evening, providing barriers, asking companies for help, using village land, increasing income. The conclusion of this research is that the cultural tactics carried out is a form of resistance by indigenous communities to government policies in order to survive by maintaining their traditions in the practice of managing and utilizing local resources.

Hybrid renewable energy systems for sustainable power supply in remote location: Techno-economic and environmental assessment

Electricity supply is inconsistent and unreliable in many remote areas of India, where depending solely on a single renewable energy source is impractical. In this context, this study investigates the potential of off-grid hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) to meet the energy needs of a village community in India. Techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment have been employed to compare eleven HRES combinations which combine photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT), battery (BAT), diesel generator (DG), biogas generator (BG), converter (CONV), and electrolyser (ELEC). By optimising the size and capacity of each component in HRES, this study aims to identify the combination with the lowest levelised cost of electricity (LCOE). This research aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 7 to seek “Affordable and Clean Energy”. The findings highlight that HRES comprising PV/WT/BAT/CONV/DG exhibits the lowest LCOE (0.319 $/kWh) and net present cost (6.81 M$) among all combinations. In systems with partial reliance on diesel, integrating both PV and WT could reduce diesel consumption and increase the renewable fraction to 87.4 %. For HRES involving PV, a significant contribution to greenhouse gas emissions occurs during the construction stage. The WT/DG combination, with its high diesel dependency, has the largest global warming potential. The efforts from this study provide valuable insights into determining the optimal HRES for remote communities by considering their economic and environmental factors.

Pendampingan dan Pemulihan Pasca Erupsi Gunung Ruang dengan Kegiatan Kreatif Ikebana pada Masyarakat Tagulandang

The purpose of this service activity is to provide assistance to the community, especially the Tagulandang village community who experienced the mountain eruption disaster with the inte-gration of creative activities in the Japanese art of Ikebana. Ikébana (生花) is the art of flower arrangement that utilizes various types of flowers, grasses and plants with the aim of enjoying their beauty. The results of this service activity have a good impact on the community, especially for (1) restoring their mental health, the art of Ikebana is not just arranging flowers but this art is able to relax and refresh the brain and balance the needs of the body. (2) Fostering resilience and spirit so that they feel that their burden is lessened and they can continue their lives with re-newed vigor.

Peningkatan Ekonomi Desa Sidorejo Kabupaten Bojonegoro melalui Industri Kreatif Berbahan Batang Pisang dan Komersialisasinya

Lecturer service is an activity that disseminates research and innovation results to village communities. The program's main objective is to improve the economy of village communities in the creative consumer goods industry made from banana stem fiber. The implementation of the service includes interactive discussions and training in production and commercialization. The partner for this activity is the farmer group Karya Tani, which includes youth and homemakers in Sidorejo Village, Sukosewu District, and Bojonegoro Regency. The activity results are analyzed based on the increased knowledge and skills observed before and after the activity. The results show that society has experienced increased handicraft production to produce products with designs and variations that have high selling value. This can increase sales and the household economy by using local natural resources, especially banana stem waste.

Kedudukan Ine Ame dalam Upacara Adat Pemakaman di Desa Bareng Kecamatan Buyasuri Kabupaten Lembata: Studi Fenomenalogi dan Hukum Islam

The traditional funeral ceremony involving ine ame is a funeral system that is still maintained and preserved. funeral system that is still maintained and continues to be preserved. In connection with this, the actions taken are real actions that are a form of respect for the deceased and his family. In Islamic law, the funeral process has been properly regulated such as informing the news of grief, bathing, shrouding, praying, burying. This research is an attempt to find out more about the traditional funeral ceremony found in the kedang community in bareng village, buyasuri sub-district, lembata district. This research uses a field research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. this research produces (1). The implementation process begins with informing the Ine Ame party, negotiating the ine ame party, luggage or kahalar, discussing customary fines such as Ote', belis, the attitude of the family, and finally reciprocity in the form of Atabelake. (2). The view of Islamic law regarding traditional funeral ceremonies This is a form of ceremony that can be said to be contrary to the provisions of Islamic law. Thus, it can be concluded that the traditional funeral ceremony in village of bareng, buyasuri sub-district, lembata district is contrary to Islamic law.

SOSIALISASI PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI WISATA PITKANO MENUJU DESA TUJUAN WISATA DI DESA SIBANGGEDE

Based on observations and field surveys in Sibanggede Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency has the potential for a tourist attraction, namely pitkano water sports, this tourist area uses the Tukad Ayung river path as a vehicle for pitkano activities. Pitkano Tourism is a means of promoting the Tourism Destination Village to attract tourists so as to grow the economy of the Sibannggede Traditional Village community. However, from the results of the interview, it was found that the management needs information related to the advantages and disadvantages along the pitkano route, this will affect the readiness of Sibanggede Village to become a tourist destination area (DTW) in the coming year. The efforts taken to solve these problems are to create the right media and means of socialization. This decision takes into account the cost aspect and the latest trends in public communication. Thus, it was decided that socialization would be carried out through the creation of adventure genre videos that would emphasize the main selling point of this potential for piccanoe tourism through the visual values of Tukad Ayung as a trial route as well as excitement or excitement in its implementation. And in addition to reviews of experiences from trial participants related to advantages or disadvantages during the activity.

Model Pemberdayaan Kesehatan Masyarakat melalui Taman Gizi Hismawati Perguruan Islam Mathali’ul Falah Kajen Margoyoso Pati

The community health empowerment model is an approach that aims to improve community welfare in the health sector. Community empowerment can be carried out by various parties, one of which is through school-based organizations, namely Taman Gizi of HISMAWATI, Mathali'ul Falah Islamic School, Kajen Margoyoso Pati. This organization focuses on community health empowerment through its programs. This research aims to determine the model of community health empowerment carried out by Taman Gizi of HISMAWATI. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the type of field research, data collection techniques using interviews and documentation, while data analysis techniques use the theory of Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the model of community health empowerment implemented by Taman Gizi of HISMAWATI is school-based participatory empowerment. Based on Jim Ife's empowerment theory used in this research, the concept of community health empowerment carried out by Taman Gizi of HISMAWATI is providing resources, opportunities, knowledge and skills in the form of facilitating the Kajen Village community and PIM female students through its programs. In this model, the objectives of empowerment include four improvements, namely institutional improvement, business improvement, environmental improvement and life improvement. The empowerment strategy used include the empowerment level, namely the micro level and the empowerment approach which including five approaches, namely the enabling, strengthening, protection, support and maintenance. Meanwhile, the empowerment principles used include four principles, namely the principle of equality, the principle of participation, the principle of independence and the principle of sustainability.
