<h2>Abstract</h2> The color of the ocular fundus depends largely on the light used in ophthalmoscopy. The retina is transparent to red but less so to blue light. With the red filtered out, the choroid becomes less visible and the retina more visible. In this way pathologic changes in the retina are made much more evident.
