John Doe enrolled in Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania and joined the college's baseball team. During an out‐of‐state team tournament trip to Florida, he met Jane Roe, with whom he had a sexual encounter. The following day, Roe, then 16, filed a sexual battery complaint with local authorities.
