Bibliometric analysis and trends related to dental tourism: Qualitative, social, economic and ethical implications.

This article delves into the multifaceted realm of dental tourism, scrutinizing patient incentives, economic ramifications, and ethical aspects. An in-depth 2023 analysis discerns research gaps, underscoring the necessity for a more exhaustive investigation to enrich the understanding of the global oral healthcare landscape. Utilizing bibliometric analysis method, the study examines the worldwide trajectory of scientific publications on dental tourism. Employing Scopus, it dissects document types, annual production, authorship, and international collaborations. The results spotlight microvariables derived from Saxena, Deheriya, Datla's macrovariables, unveiling influencers on dental tourism, ranging from social and economic to cultural factors. The study advocates for defined bilateral agreements to ensure quality care and stresses ethical considerations, emphasizing shared standards and legal implications. Economic ramifications, both positive and negative, are discussed, with an expanding global focus on dental tourism evident. In conclusion, the study accentuates micro variables, signaling avenues for future research.

Taking a partnership approach to embed physical activity in local policy and practice: a Bradford District case study

BackgroundSupportive policy is an important component of a whole-systems approach to increasing physical activity and reducing inequalities. There is a growing body of literature surrounding the design and effectiveness of national policy approaches to physical activity, but evidence related to local-level approaches is lacking. The aim of this study was to examine ‘what works’, and identify factors underpinning change, focused on work to embed physical activity in local policy and practice in Bradford, UK.MethodsA mixed-methods case study approach involved collecting data from cross-sectoral stakeholders directly or indirectly engaged in the physical activity agenda in Bradford over a period of three years (2021–2024). Data collection included focus groups, semi-structured interviews, researcher observations of key workshops and meetings, and surveys at two time-points (December 2021 and January 2024). Qualitative data were analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics.ResultsFour themes were identified which embody conditions that appear to be critical for working towards physical activity being embedded in local policy & practice within the Bradford District. These included: collaboration and sector integration, co-productive working, governance and leadership, and cultivating a learning culture. The process of co-producing a district-wide strategy for physical activity was key to facilitating shared ownership of the physical activity agenda across different levels of the system, and for supporting and maintaining cross-sectoral collaboration. On average, survey respondents connected with four more local organisations in relation to the physical activity agenda in January 2024 than in December 2021.ConclusionTaking a partnership approach, and fostering a culture of evidence-informed decision making, is key to embedding physical activity into policy and practice at a local level. Investing time to understand the aims and values of each partner, and potential synergies and tensions between them, can support the development of a positive and productive collaboration and, subsequently, more effective whole-system delivery and population-level increases in physical activity.

La perspectiva hacker para la educación en derechos humanos en la cultura digital

This article presents a participatory and activist action-research project conducted in Brazil by the Federal Universities of Santa Catarina and Bahia, in collaboration with public schools. The systematized and researched experience offers a thoughtful reflection on the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in human rights education, presenting it as both a challenge and an opportunity for new possibilities. The proposal merges hacker education with human rights education. The hacker education paradigm emphasizes the value of autonomy, agency, empowerment, authorship, and collective, collaborative production in an openness of sources and know ledges with, for, and through ICT. This paradigm intersects with the human rights education paradigm, particularly in its promotion of the acceptance of otherness and its commitment to democratic coexistence, plurality, and intercultural education. Based on a project carried out between 2018 and 2022 with basic education teachers, this research aimed to analyze the challenges and opportunities presented by the hacker perspective in human rights education in the digital age. The university-school action is analyzed through the collective understanding of the project's participants and presents principles to guide public policies, teacher education, and educational research, including the importance of research on the margins, the role of public intellectuals, the dismantling of the subject-object distinction, the promotion of non-hierarchical relationships between universities and schools, and the recognition of teachers as researchers.

An integrated framework for collaborative product design and assembly based on STEP compatible ontology model in cloud manufacturing

AbstractNowadays, new product development processes are encountering fast design and development cycles. This issue has become one the main competition factors among industries. Accordingly, companies make drastic efforts to enhance the quality and speed in the realm of designing and manufacturing by taking novel approaches. Using the potential of new technologies, they design and develop products worldwide, and integrate stakeholders in the collaborative process to achieve this goal. This study has aimed at laying a foundation to fulfill the requirements for globalized collaborative product development processes. This creates an opportunity for both an integrated and collaborative environment. As first objective, the paper has proposed STEP Standard-based model in the form of a cloud service model to create an integrated data structure for product design data while giving flexibility for service-oriented access to integrated model. For second objective, using the Ontology interoperability model, the collaborative design among the stakeholders has been enabled through smart interference control. This control interprets the data semantic to an ontology structure and detects the potential conflicts. The model supports two levels of parts in singular and collective form and based on the assembly scheme for collaborative design and development. Different facets of the proposed model are addressed to fulfill the necessity of real-time distributed collaboration in designing and assembling via a case study.

Optimizing Teacher Work Productivity through Transformational Leadership, Organizational Climate, and Teamwork

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing teacher work productivity in elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The research focuses on transformational leadership, organizational climate, teacher collaboration, and work motivation as variables contributing to teacher productivity. A mixed-methods approach was employed, consisting of two main phases: qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews to identify the current conditions of teacher work productivity and dominant influencing factors. The quantitative phase included 163 respondents selected using proportional random sampling, with data analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that transformational leadership and organizational climate have a direct and significant impact on teacher collaboration and work productivity. Teacher collaboration also significantly influences teacher work productivity. However, the indirect effects of transformational leadership and organizational climate on teacher work productivity through collaboration are positive but not significant. This study identifies strategies, methods, and optimal efforts to improve the work productivity of public elementary school teachers in Tasikmalaya Regency. Furthermore, the study provides strategic recommendations based on Sitorem analysis to strengthen transformational leadership, enhance organizational climate, and foster effective collaboration to improve teacher work productivity.

Data-Driven Optimization for Low-Carbon Prefabricated Components Production Based on Ant Colony Algorithms

The global industries are progressively transitioning towards low-carbon development; however, construction remains a significant contributor to energy consumption and carbon emissions. In promoting industrialized construction, the use of prefabricated buildings emerges as a crucial strategy for achieving environmental sustainability. This study initially examines the development and current status of prefabricated concrete component factories in Fujian Province, focusing on regional distribution and production conditions. It also gathers data on carbon emissions, time, and costs to formulate a multi-objective optimization model. Utilizing ant colony algorithms, the model aims to minimize costs while adhering to low-carbon principles and fostering the sustainable development of prefabricated buildings. The optimization results for slabs indicate a minimum production cost of RMB 5.7023 million, with associated carbon emissions of 1154.85 tons. Notably, a cost variation of RMB 10,000 can lead to a maximum difference of 50 tons in carbon emissions, emphasizing the importance of cost minimization as a primary objective. In comparison to conventional production, the optimization of collaborative production demonstrates reductions in both costs and carbon emissions. Furthermore, when focusing on normal and rush modes, costs can be reduced by over 20%, resulting in a potential decrease of up to 50% in carbon emissions. Consequently, effectively mitigating carbon emissions in component production is essential for enhancing the sustainability of the construction industry.

Hybrid intelligence – systematic approach and framework to determine the level of Human-AI collaboration for production management use cases

AbstractArtificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have emerged as transformative technologies in production management, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency across a range of use cases. The challenge of determining the optimal level of Human-AI collaboration in decision-making processes persists for many organizations, despite the potential benefits of such integration. However, the current systematic approaches frequently lack a structured approach to determine the level of Human-AI collaboration in production management use cases. This results in inconsistent applications and suboptimal outcomes. This study presents a first and superior systematic approach for the systematic evaluation, development and implementation of AI in production management and introduces a structured framework that can be employed to assess and determine the optimal level of Human-AI collaboration for a range of production use cases. The framework classifies use cases based on critical factors such as data availability, process variability, error susceptibility, and decision complexity. This classification assists managers in calibrating the balance between automation and human intervention. The application of this framework could enhance the efficacy, productivity, and accuracy of Human-AI collaboration in production management. Furthermore, the systematic approach incorporates continuous evaluation and adaptation, ensuring long-term success in dynamic production environments. These findings provide a practical tool for managers to strategically implement AI, improving decision-making processes and operational outcomes. The proposed framework offers immediate opportunities to enhance production management through a structured, scalable, and human-centered approach to AI integration.

Bibliometric Analysis of Global Publications on Management, Trends, Energy, and the Innovation Impact of Green Hydrogen Production

The aim of this bibliometric analysis was to evaluate the evolution of scientific research in hydrogen, focusing on green hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. Articles from prominent databases were analyzed, revealing a strong emphasis on sustainable hydrogen technologies through keywords like “hydrogen production”, “green hydrogen”, and “solar power generation”. Mature research areas include production methods and electrolysis, while emerging topics such as energy efficiency and policy are gaining traction. The most-cited papers, from Energy Conversion and Management to the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, cover techno-economic assessments and case studies on deploying hydrogen technologies. Key findings highlight the variability of the Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) across technologies and regions. Deep learning applications, including Fast Fourier Transform-based forecasting and explainable AI models, are transforming production optimization, while Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) emphasizes renewable energy’s role in reducing carbon intensity and resource consumption. Diverse strategies, such as fiscal incentives for wind energy and use of urban waste, underline the importance of local solutions. This analysis reflects the rapid growth of hydrogen research, driven by international collaboration and innovations in sustainable production, storage, and optimization. It is hoped that this paper will help to shed more light on the current and future understanding of green hydrogen.

Hotspots and development trends of gut microbiota in atopic dermatitis: A bibliometric analysis from 1988 to 2024.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a prevalent inflammatory skin condition that commonly occurs in children. More and more scientific evidence suggests that gut microbiota plays an important role in the pathogenesis of AD, whereas there is no article providing a comprehensive summary and analysis. We aimed to analyze documents on AD and gut microbiota and identify hotspots and development trends in this field. Articles and reviews in the field of AD and gut microbiota from January 1, 1988 to October 20, 2024 were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Biblioshiny was utilized for evaluating and visualizing the core authors, journals, countries, documents, trend topics, and hotspots in this field. Among 1672 documents, it indicated that the number of annual publications generally increased. The United States had the highest production, impact, and international collaboration. Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology was the journal of the maximum publications. Based on keyword co-occurrence and clustering analysis, "stratum-corneum lipids," "probiotics," "prebiotics," "fecal microbiota transplantation," "phage therapy," "short chain fatty-acids," "biologic therapy," and "skin inflammation" represented current trend topics. The pathological and molecular mechanisms and associated therapeutic methods for AD and gut microbiota were the research hotspots. The incorporation of microbiota-based therapies alongside conventional treatments can contribute to better clinical outcomes. We highlighted that gut microbiota may exacerbate symptoms of AD through various aspects, including immunity, metabolites, and neuroendocrine pathways. More efforts are required to investigate the safety and efficacy of gut microbial management methods for the prevention and treatment of AD.

Automotive interior and exterior trim components undergo slight deformation due to temperature changes, affecting fit dimensions and imposing stricter consistency requirements. This paper examines the deformation mechanisms of typical parts under varying temperatures using dimensional engineering techniques to study the impact on component gaps. Testing quantifies changes in gap width and surface flatness during temperature variations, providing a theoretical basis for design. The research offers practical guidance for identifying potential issues early in product development and ensuring effective collaboration in production, helping companies achieve higher standards and superior quality.

Drivers of strategy implementation on the banking sector in South Africa

There is significant rivalry among South African banks as a result of the banking sector's being oversaturated. Banks can make use of financial resources, robust organisational cultures, human resources, and productive employee collaboration in light of resource-based theory. The implications of strategy implementations in the banking sector are also looked at. An in-depth interview was created to collect data from twenty-five bank employees. Altas Ti was used for data analysis. The relationship between organisational sustainability and strategy implementation drivers was investigated in this study through the use of qualitative research methods. The results indicate that technology, social capital, organisational culture, and support from upper management all significantly influence how much a strategy is put into implementation. The findings also demonstrate a clear connection between the drivers of strategy implementation and achieving favourable financial and customer outcomes in addition to obtaining a competitive advantage. This study also clarifies the variables that affect strategy implementation and how it could enhance this sector's growth and competitiveness prospects. According to the current study's findings, in order to enhance organisational effectiveness, the banking industry needs to pay special attention to strategy implementation drivers.

Spino-Plastic Surgery: Addressing Spinal Tumors with New Techniques.

Background/Objectives: Spino-plastic surgery describes a specialized, multidisciplinary approach to addressing various spinal pathologies. The field is the innovative product of a multidisciplinary collaboration between plastic and reconstructive, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. Over the last few decades, this collaboration has borne promising surgical techniques and treatment plans geared toward restoring form, function, and aesthetics in patients with a variety of spinal conditions, including failed fusions, pseudoarthrosis, and the need for oncologic reconstruction. This paper explores the application of spino-plastic surgery in the context of post-sarcoma resection reconstructions, focusing on the efficacy in addressing the unique challenges posed by extensive tissue loss and structural deformities. Methods: Our study reviews a series of cases wherein spino-plastic techniques were utilized in patients with sarcomas of the spine and adjacent structures. We also discuss the technical considerations, including preoperative planning, intraoperative challenges, and overall patient care, that are crucial for the success of spino-plastic procedures. Results: The outcomes demonstrate significant improvements in patient mobility, pain reduction, and overall quality of life. Most notably, spino-plastic surgical techniques help facilitate the restoration of functional anatomy by leveraging vascularized bone grafts and muscle flaps, thereby enhancing long-term stability and reducing the risk of complications such as nonunion or infection. Conclusions: Spino-plastic collaboration represents a pivotal advancement in oncologic treatment, spinal care, and reconstructive surgery, offering new hope for patients undergoing post-sarcoma reconstruction. Further research and refinement of the techniques will only expand their application and improve outcomes for a broader range of patients in the future.

Effect of Suppliers Relationship Management Strategies on Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and National Petroleum Investment and Management Services (NAPIMS) in Nigeria

This work focused on NAPIMS, BPP and Supplier Relationship Management Strategies in Nigeria. Supplier Quality Improvement or SPM, Supplier Lead Time Reduction or SLT, Supplier Collaboration in New Product Development or SCL and Supplier Partnership or Development was recognized in this study as five major categories of Supplier Relationship Management Strategies. Self-developed questionnaires were used in data collection for this study. The study’s analysis was based on ordinal regression analysis. Procurement success in Nigerian government agencies was strongly predicted by the following factors: Its types include supplier quality management (SQM), supplier partnership or development (SPT), supplier collaboration in the development of new product (SCL), and trust based relationship with suppliers (TBR). Based on the research, Supplier Relationship Management Strategies enable authorities in Nigeria to enhance their procurement status . This means that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and other branches of the Nigeria government have commenced the use of SRM systems. Therefore, there is a need for government agencies in Nigeria to establish training that promotes constructive relationship between the procurement employees and their suppliers. Long term contracts are a great way to build relationships with providers as well as increase their confidence in you. To provide suppliers with a better understanding of the procurement process and to obtain improved results from collaborative product development projects, it is necessary to develop reference models

Strategic Approaches to University Product Marketing in the Global Market

This community service program, conducted by Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in collaboration with Thaksin University (TSU), aimed to promote effective marketing strategies for university best local products to expand their presence in global markets. The program focused on the utilization of Aceh's patchouli oil, a product with substantial international demand, as an example of how local resources can be developed into competitive products for the global market. The methods used included dissemination sessions, interactive discussions, and demonstrations of products produced by the cooperative to both local farmers and academic partners in Thailand. The results indicated increased participant awareness of the potential of local products, with the Inovac ARC Cooperative playing a key role in the development and marketing of these products. The success of the program was attributed to the integration of product innovation, strategic marketing, and collaboration with international partners. Future programs should focus on strengthening international partnerships and exploring digital marketing strategies to enhance market access for local products. Decision-makers are encouraged to support cooperative initiatives that combine local expertise with global market standards.

Transformation of Educational Institution Management at Ilyas Karanganyar Islamic Boarding School

Organizational transformation program is a strategic step that is not only an option, but also a necessity to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of a company or organization. This transformation is closely related to the overall strategy, and often includes total changes involving all aspects of the organization, resulting in a completely new entity that is more adaptive to environmental changes. This transformation is very important so that the vision and mission of the organization can be realized optimally. This study aims to analyze the transformation process carried out by the Ilyas Karanganyar Islamic Boarding School, which includes the steps of planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising. The data sources in this study came from direct observation, interviews with related parties, and internal document analysis. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies to identify key findings related to productive, efficient, and effective collaboration in achieving common goals. The research findings show that innovation and change in education are key factors in increasing organizational competitiveness amidst the dynamics of ever-growing change.

Empowering value co-creation: Product and technology development in power asymmetric buyer-supplier relationships from the perspective of a weaker supplier

This research explores value co-creation practices for product and technology development within power asymmetric buyer-supplier relationships in their early stages. In terms of value co-creation practices, we focus on how buyers and suppliers contribute to benefits and impact costs, whereas for power, we focus on their influence on distribution of costs and benefits within the relationship. Through a qualitative study, we analyse 18 buyer-supplier dyads, each featuring a collaborative product and technology development process between a less powerful supplier and an influential buyer. The findings reveal that these co-creation practices served as a platform for mutual learning and knowledge creation, which provided the suppliers with a reinforced capacity to generate benefits for the buyers and mitigate the power asymmetry. To conclude, we put forward a framework along with a set of propositions designed to inspire further research on assessing supplier opportunities when navigating power asymmetric product and technology development relationships.

The study emphasizes the potential of AI in fostering team cohesion through enhanced emotional intelligence, sentiment analysis, and automated conflict identification. Furthermore, it examines the ethical considerations, challenges, and future trends of AI integration, highlighting its ability to facilitate personalized, scalable, and proactive conflict resolution strategies. This research underscores AI's capacity to revolutionize virtual team management, enabling productive collaboration in an increasingly digital and globalized work environment.

Collaborative culture, product quality, and firm performance

We investigate the effect of collaborative culture on product quality using listed firms in China from 2007 to 2022. We find that collaborative culture can significantly enhance the level of corporate product quality. Heterogeneity analyses reveal that this effect is stronger for firms with higher labor intensity, those in industries with higher innovation levels, and those in regions with higher trust levels. Moreover, the positive impact of a collaborative culture on product quality contributes to improved firm performance. This study provides valuable insights from the perspective of collaborative culture to enhance a firm's competitive advantage in the product market.
