ABSTRACT The thermodynamic analysis of converter slag by carbothermal reduction was carried out. The laboratory tests of converter slag by carbothermal reduction dephosphorisation were carried out in molybdenum disilicide high-temperature resistance furnace and 500 kg top bottom combined blowing multi-functional test furnace respectively. The results show that the reaction temperature and kinetic conditions have a great influence on the dephosphorisation rate. In the top and bottom combined blowing multi-functional test furnace, coke powder is used as both reducing agent and heating agent. The exothermic reaction between coke powder and oxygen can ensure that the dephosphorisation reaction can be carried out at a higher temperature. At the same time, the good stirring of topblowing oxygen on the slag layer is conducive to further improve the dephosphorisation reaction speed.
