The article considers the axiological aspect of the future world construction in the English political discourse. The image of the future is regarded as a mental structure shaped by linguoaxiological operations. Its content is predetermined by the axiological scenario of the present, encoded by language units. The critical role of the concept “innovation” in the construal of the future world image has been revealed. The tool kit of the future world construal consists of: 1) a cognitive script of the future; 2) means of its verbalization; 3) discourse illocutions. Axiologems that model the future world image are identified: “progressiveness”, “importance”, “necessity”, “completeness”, “fantasticality”.
