Automation of energy use to control energy consumption intensity (IKE) in classrooms is carried out using an Arduino Nano-based system. This system utilizes an IR transmitter to send signals to the air conditioning unit, a servo motor to position the IR transmitter to the appropriate air conditioning unit, a relay to control the lights, and a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module for scheduling based on a specified schedule. The main goal is to prevent energy waste and ensure comfort by turning on and off the air conditioning unit and lights according to a preset schedule. This automatic scheduling includes time setting, transmitter IR control, servo motor, relay control, and LCD. Programmed scheduling ensures that the air conditioner and lights only turn on when needed, while the LCD provides real-time information about the status of the air conditioner and lights. With this automation, the system helps reduce excessive energy consumption, drives significant energy savings, and creates a comfortable and energy-efficient learning environment. The automatic monitoring and regulation system also allows users to focus more on teaching and learning activities without having to worry about manual settings for air conditioning and lights.
