Many models based on heat transfer equations have been developed in order to predict the vibroacoustic behavior of structures at medium and high frequencies. Propagation of vibrations in a plate or in coupled plates can be estimated using a diffusion equation. In this paper, a hybrid solution of this equation is developed to improve the predicted energy levels. The power injected inside the structure is thus calculated more precisely taking into account the interferences within the direct field. The reverberant field, due to wave scattering on plates boundaries, is assumed to be the summation of incoherent waves. This hybrid approach allows not only a better calculation of the power injected into the structure but also an accurate spatial description of vibrational fields when compared to the classical diffusion equation.
