Memotivasi Anak Usia Dini Menabung Demi Masa Depan di Kelurahan Perdagangan I

This community service activity aims to improve children's financial literacy and motivate them to save from an early age. This activity was carried out in Perdagangan I Village, Bandar District, Simalungun Regency on August 19-20, 2024 targeting children in grades 5 and 6 at Satrya Budi Perdagangan I Elementary School. The method used involved socialization and making piggy banks from used plastic bottles decorated according to the children's wishes, in order to increase their motivation to save. In addition, the community service team also conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to get feedback on the methods and materials provided. The results of the activity showed that the level of children's financial literacy was still low, where most children did not have the habit of saving and tended to spend their pocket money. After the activity, there was an increase in motivation to save and understanding of the importance of financial literacy, although there were still challenges in implementing the habit of saving consistently. This activity had a positive impact with the increase in enthusiasm of children and parents in understanding the importance of saving for the future. The activity is expected to contribute to increasing public awareness of the importance of financial literacy from an early age.

Kajian Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Autis dan Gizi Anak Autisdi Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Nunumeu-Soe

Autism is a variant of autism spectrum disorder characterized by social communication difficulties and language barriers, narrow interests and rigid and repetitive behavior. This research aims to examine mothers' knowledge about autism and nutrition for autistic children at Nunumeu-Soe State Special School. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques with six informants who have autistic children at Nunumeu-Soe State Special School. The results of the research found that not all informants knew the symptoms of children with autism, so it was discovered that when children were 3-5 years old, the symptoms of autism that were often noticed were difficulty speaking and hyperactivity. Not all informants gave breast milk until the child was two years old due to work factors and replaced it with formula milk. All informants did not know the type of autistic behavior that influences children's consumption patterns, but the informants already knew the levels of autism. Mother's knowledge about nutrition for autistic children regarding types of food that adapt to the child's wishes containing gluten and casein. Food taboos in children are well known, but often escape the mother's attention due to permissive parenting, which causes serious symptoms in children. Barriers to health services and a lack of health workers in TTS district resulted in a lack of informant knowledge. Schools need to consult with local health services to educate parents about the nutrition of autistic children regarding the type of behavior and dietary restrictions of autistic children.

Analysis of preschool children’s outdoor play behaviours

AbstractThis research aimed to observe preschoolers' outdoor play behaviours, gather their opinions about the outdoors and examine their drawings related to outdoor activities. Methodology: Using a mixed methods approach, children aged 60 to 69 months were studied over a 4-week period in a preschool setting. Observation, interviews, and drawing tasks were used as data sources, ensuring triangulation. The children's outdoor play behaviours were video-recorded, and their opinions were taken through one-on-one interviews. The children were asked to draw pictures of the materials they wanted to see in the playground. This study explored how the outdoor environment impacts children's play behaviour. Research Findings: Using content analysis and frequency distribution, we found that the most frequently played in the schoolyard was functional play, and they most often played alone and solitarily. Physical conditions, such as the schoolyard grounds, material diversity, and material types within the play environment, affected children's outdoor play behaviours. The schoolyard setting led children to consider alternative play types and toys. The children stated that they mostly preferred to play in the park area and playhouse within the schoolyard. The children also stated that they wanted to see fixed park components, sports, dramatic play, arts, entertainment, and natural areas. In addition, the observed play behaviours and children's views regarding the schoolyard supported one another. Practice and Policy: These results support the theory that the environment impacts behaviour and show that outdoor spaces tailored to children's wishes and needs are an effective way to encourage quality play behaviours.

The occurrence of inner children in children is caused by parenting patterns of parents who do not pay enough attention to their children. Parenting patterns are an important role for children so that inner children do not occur in their children, and there are several parenting patterns of parents who use three different parenting styles to raise children. - their child. First, parent group meetings are groups of people who have and enjoy social relationships. Second, authoritarian parenting is a parenting style that is given to parents, asked for and giving little attention to something the child wants. Authoritarian parenting provides attitudes, punishments and orders that children must carry out without any opportunity to speak. Evaluation of Willpower Training in Early Childhood in the Context of Value Acquisition

Will education, encompasses skills such as making decisions in line with one's desires and goals, taking responsibility, and managing motivation. This education significantly contributes to the development of various skills in children, including self-confidence, sense of responsibility, problem-solving, and communication. One of the negative consequences of digitization today is that children struggle to control themselves, which also complicates the acquisition of values. The study aims to reveal the effects of willpower education in early childhood on value acquisition. The study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative research design, and the document review technique was used in the data collection process. For this purpose, academic sources such as articles, books, and theses were examined, and data obtained from the existing literature were analyzed. After explaining the concepts of will and willpower education, the importance of willpower education in early childhood and its impact on children's value acquisition were evaluated. As a result of the study, the importance of willpower education in value acquisition is emphasized, and activities such as games and drama are recommended for value acquisition through willpower education.

This research aims to describe Class Management in Fostering Children's Interest in Learning at Insan Kaamil Teniga Kindergarten. The method used in this research is a qualitative research approach and a descriptive research type. This research aims to describe everything related to classroom management in fostering children's interest in learning. The results of the research show that children's interest in learning can be fostered by several things, including Insan Kaamil Kindergarten teachers designing the class, arranging tables and chairs according to the child's wishes, paying more attention to the child, controlling the class atmosphere, making games or quizzes in between studying, and supported by media that is appropriate to the theme to be conveyed so that children feel happy, are interested in learning, and show attention when learning takes place.

Dampak Pola Asuh Permisif Orangtua Terhadap Perilaku Remaja Perspektif Hukum Islam (Studi Kasus Di Medan Amplas Kota Medan)

Parenting has an impact on children's attitudes and behavior in interaction. In providing these parenting activities, parents will provide attention, rules, discipline, rewards and punishments as well as responses to their children's wishes in order to avoid juvenile delinquency. The problem that occurs in Medan Amplas, Medan City is the existence of juvenile delinquency behavior. This is due to the loss of parental control over their children in parenting and educating their children. The purpose of this research is to find out how the impact of permissive parenting on adolescent behavior in Medan Amplas and how Islamic Law views permissive parenting. This type of research is empirical juridical with a living case studies approach and conceptual approach. Data is collected through interviews and document studies, then the data is processed and analyzed with qualitative methods. The results showed that permissive parenting characterized by a lack of parental supervision and guidance of children is not in accordance with parenting in the view of Islamic law because parents have the obligation to educate, guide, and prevent children from doing bad things.

South African courts' differing approaches to determining children's views in family law matters

The United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989 (CRC), the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, 1990 (ACRWC) and sections 6(5), 10, and 31(1)(a) of the Children's Act 38 of 2005 (Children's Act) place an obligation on South African courts to determine children's views in their parents' family law matters. This article analyses thirteen judgments stretching from 2003 - 2020 and one 2018 psychological study in relation to parenting plans to ascertain how South African courts determine children's views and wishes in practice. The judgments selected relate to divorces and disputes regarding children's primary residence and care and contact (custody and access disputes), disputes where a parent intends emigrating with children, and matters were a parent abducted a child. The judgments indicate courts have diverging approaches to determining children's views and wishes in family law matters. The 2018 psychological study found legal practitioners unfortunately fail to take into account children's inputs for purposes of drafting their parents' parenting plans. In light of courts' diverging approaches to determining a child's voice in their parents' litigious matters, as well as the current complete lack of guidelines in this regard, there is a need to amend the Children's Act to assist courts with particular regulations or guidelines in this regard. If courts are equipped with guidelines to direct their determination of children's views and wishes in family law matters, this will result in a more certain, and more congruent approach and most importantly, it will assist courts to pay heed to their duty to properly hear the voice of the child.

Tantrums in Early Childhood Due to Permissive Parenting

Tantrums are a common behavioural problem experienced by young children, which can result from various factors, including permissive parenting practices. This qualitative case study aims to explore the forms of tantrums displayed by 6-year-old children, identify the factors contributing to these tantrums, and examine the efforts made by parents with permissive parenting styles to manage their children's tantrums. The research design involves descriptive qualitative methods, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation techniques for data collection. Data triangulation is applied to ensure the reliability and validity of the findings. The study reveals that tantrums exhibited by the children in the study include crying, hitting, kicking, screaming, and more. The factors leading to tantrums encompass unfulfilled desires, reprimands, neglect, and teasing. The parents' response to these tantrums involves always fulfilling the child's wishes, even when aggressive behaviour is displayed. Furthermore, parents refrain from providing clear explanations to correct negative behaviour. Sometimes, parents let the child continue their tantrum until it subsides without intervening. These findings highlight the presence and consequences of permissive parenting practices on children's emotional development and behavioural patterns.

Managing intractable pain with neuraxial infusion at home.

A case study of a 9-year-old child with complex pain secondary to metastatic liver cancer, who eventually required intrathecal drug delivery (ITDD) of analgesia. Multi-modal symptom control strategies were deployed to achieve the child's and parental wishes for end-of-life care (EoLC) at home using ITDD. The following recommendations are made for nursing practice in paediatric palliative care (PPC); rigorous risk assessment, exemplary communication with the identification of a coordinating team, timely training needs assessment and the delivery of training from hospital based experts in ITDD practice, comprehensive symptom management plan and 24/7 access to specialist palliative care teams were essential for safe nursing practice. In this case, robust risk assessment and mitigations enabled challenges to be safely addressed with a successful outcome, extending the boundaries of PPC home care.

KOMUNIKASI PERSUASIF ORANG TUA DENGAN ANAK DALAM MEMBENTUK PERILAKU TAAT BERIBADAH DI DESA JATI KESUMA

The phenomenon that occurs in the Jatikesuma Village community provides the background for this research, where parents use persuasive communication activities in the form of persuasion or invitations to their children, but not all parents apply it. This fact encourages the author to propose the forms of persuasive communication used by parents on their children, the obstacles faced by parents in their children, and the results achieved by parents on their children. The author used a qualitative research method by conducting field research and qualitative description, collecting qualitative data, and analyzing the data afterwards. The author collected data using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the forms of persuasive communication used by parents on their children in the Jatikesuma Village community. The forms of child behavior in worship in Jatikesuma Village were found to be different in this study. This study identifies the forms of persuasive communication used by parents to their children in the form of persuasion or invitations, namely forcing the child, monitoring, complying with the child's wishes or providing rewards, and giving praise. This study also identifies obstacles faced by parents with their children, namely the lack of willingness from the child themselves, the child only performs worship when given a reward, the child spends too much time playing with their phone, and parents who do not care. The results achieved in this study include the increasing diligence of children in worship, the emergence of trust from parents towards their children, and the increasing willingness of children to read the Quran. The recommendations from this study include urging the village chief and religious figures to encourage the community to teach children to read the Quran and to perform prayers in congregation, urging parents to provide understanding and influence children to get used to and willing to perform worship from an early age, and urging children to perform worship and make the Quran a guide in a better life.

Diet, physical activity and obesity incidence in adolescents with disabilities

Introduction: Nutrients are related to the growth and development of children. In addition to nutrition, physical activity is no less important in the process of child growth and development that can be carried out in the home or school environment. Children with disabilities sometimes can’t get the optimum nutrients required for their body and it is hard to do physical activities. It is necessary to study eating patterns and physical activities and the incidence of obesity in children with disabilities. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of eating patterns, physical activity and the incidence of obesity in children with disabilities. Methods: The research method used was a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. Subjects were recruited by purposive sampling technique. Diet was determined by a food frequency questionnaire. Physical activity was measured by the standard Global Physical Activity Questionnaire. Univariate analysis was used to describe the distribution of frequency and percentage. Bivariate analysis was used to determine the relationship of diet and physical activity with the incidence of obesity. Results: The result is that 50% of Bangunputra Special Educational Needs (SEN) School’s students are obese, 25% are normal, and 25% tend to be thin. The eating pattern of students with disabilities resulted in 43.8% being balanced and the remaining 56.2% consuming excessively on staple foods. In physical activity, 45.2% did physical activity and the remaining 54.5% did not do physical activity. Low physical activity can be caused by children with autism who have motor disorders that can affect them. Parenting patterns are related to socio-economic status, because the majority of parents of Bangunputra SEN School students do not restrain or limit any child's wishes. Conclusion: The results showed that the incidence of obesity in children with disabilities is related to the knowledge of eating patterns and physical activity. Parents and the school environment play an essential role in providing better care for people with disabilities.

Barriers in the School-Based Pan-Gender HPV Vaccination Program in Sweden: Healthcare Providers' Perspective.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines effectively prevent, and can even eliminate, HPV-related cancers. Currently, vaccination rates are suboptimal in the national Swedish school-based vaccination program. School nurses play a key role in all aspects of the vaccination process. Therefore, this study aims to explore school nurses' perceived HPV vaccination challenges. Seven focus group interviews were conducted with school nurses (n = 35) working in nine socio-demographically diverse municipalities in mid-Sweden. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Participants described difficulties in encountering and handling the diversity of reasons for vaccine hesitancy. Parents known to be skeptical of vaccines in general were seen as most difficult to reach. Uncertainty was expressed concerning the extent of professional responsibility for vaccine promotion. The informants expressed a lack of guidelines for vaccine promotion and described challenges in supporting the child's own wishes. Creating a safe space for the individual child was seen as crucial. Other problems described were the challenges of overcoming children's fear of needles, supporting unvaccinated children, and being confronted with the remaining gender inequities of the pan-gender vaccination program. Our results suggest that school nurses, especially those new to their profession, may benefit from training and guidance22 material on how to address vaccine hesitancy.

Parents' experiences of having their children take part in participatory action research creating a serious game about radiotherapy

IntroductionRadiotherapy (RT) is one of several treatment modalities used for children diagnosed with cancer. Several studies have designed interventions aimed to alleviate the stress that can occur in conjunction with RT. To include children in the design of interventions is rare and dependent on the parents giving consent to participation in research on their children's behalf. The aim was to illuminate, from the parents' perspective, the experience of their children being part in the co-creation of a serious game and their previous experiences of RT. MethodsTen parents of children taking part in a participatory action research study of the development of a serious game were invited to an interview and seven parents consented. An inductive, manifest content analysis was performed. ResultsThe analysis resulted in an overarching theme: Parents' pre-understanding from their child's cancer treatment created a sensitivity to their child's wishes and a willingness to contribute to science. Four categories are presented: Intrinsic factors influenced the intent to participate, Extrinsic factors that had an effect on participation, Parents role in the game development, and Radiotherapy impinged the child and the parent. ConclusionTo be able to pay it forward to healthcare and other families with a child diagnosed with cancer was a contributing factor for parents' willingness to consent to participation after their children had undergone RT, especially since their children wanted to do so. Parents indicated interest in the developmental process and in following their children being part of the creation of a serious game about RT. Implication for practiceTo understand why parents allow their children to participate in studies creates opportunities for the research community to structure studies that facilitate participation.

This study aims to describe the parenting pattern of early childhood in the Dayak tribe. In this research, the method used is literature study, in this method data collection is done by collecting data based on the results of research that has been done previously that analyzes the research in order to answer the existing problems. Results Based on a literature study on parenting patterns of early childhood in the Dayak tribe, it shows that Dayak parents provide parenting to their children using permissive parenting but applying more democratic (authoritative) parenting. Permissive parenting is a parenting style that provides leeway and observation, is less demanding, not controlling. While the democratic or authorative style of parenting is a parenting style that gives freedom or surrenders everything according to the child's wishes but will always be supported by parents. And with parents who apply this parenting pattern, they tend to be open to parents and have a good and cheerful personality.

The Covid-19 pandemic has delayed all lines of education. There are many schools that are forced to carry out online learning. In this service, what is desired is online learning assistance to foster early childhood creativity by presenting the material and then the child expresses the material through drawing things that are in the child's imagination. The approach model in learning used is project based learning. Early childhood looks very enthusiastic in participating in the activities of the service team, and are able to produce an image from the imagination of the child and the child can present what the child has drawn and colored according to the child's wishes on picture book media.

Wishes of Children With ADHD.

Understanding the desires and motivations of children with ADHD is important in helping them thrive. Their inner worlds, however, have not been well captured. The Three Wishes task provides minimal cues and structure to elicit their desires and hopes in an unbiased manner. The wishes of 299 school-aged children with ADHD (193 boys, aged 6–12) were elicited during a research diagnostic assessment. We developed a coding scheme to characterize different aspects of their wishes, including beneficiary, valence, and immediacy. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, adapted to take account of the participants’ ages, was used to identify the motivations underlying the children’s wishes. As expected, many of the wishes reported were for immediate fulfillment, with many reflecting material desires. Affiliative wishes, highlighting the children’s desire for positive interpersonal relationships, were also common. There was some evidence for self-actualization/self-betterment goals and a small number of altruistic wishes. A word cloud presents the content of the children’s wishes grouped according to this hierarchy. This study highlights the diversity and typicality of the self-reported needs, desires and hopes of children with ADHD. It also serves as a timely reminder of the value of seeking such information directly from children themselves.

A cross-sectional survey of moral distress and ethical climate - Situations in paediatric oncology care that involve children's voices.

AimTo assess experiences of morally distressing situations and perceptions of ethical climate in paediatric oncology care, with a focus on situations that involve children's voices.DesignCross‐sectional survey.MethodsRegistered Nurses at all four paediatric oncology centres in Denmark were asked to complete a web‐based questionnaire with Danish translations of the Swedish Moral Distress Scale‐Revised (MDS‐R) and the Swedish Hospital Ethical Climate Survey‐Shortened (HECS‐S). Data analysis included descriptive statistics and non‐parametric correlation tests.ResultsNurses (n = 65) perceived morally distressing situations as rather uncommon, except for those that involved shortage of time, poor continuity of care and unsafe staffing levels. Most nurses (83%) found it disturbing to perform procedures on school‐aged children against their will, and 20% reported that they do this often. Perceptions of ethical climate were positive and healthcare professionals were perceived to be attentive to children's wishes.

Location of end-of-life care of children with cancer: A systematic review of parent experiences.

To synthesize existing qualitative research exploring the experiences of parents caring for children with cancer during the end-of-life phase, and the factors that influence parental decision-making when choosing the location of end-of-life care and death for their child. This review included 15 studies of 460 parents of 333 children and adolescents who died from progressive cancer. Where reported, the majority (58%) of children died at home or in a hospital (39%), with only a small fraction dying in a hospice. Factors impacting decision-making for the location of care included the quality of communication and the quality of care available. Themes related to choosing home for end-of-life care and death included honoring the child's wishes, the familiarity of home, and parents' desire to be their child's primary carer. Preference for the location of death in the hospital included trust in hospital staff, practical logistics, and the safety of the hospital environment.
