Statements are made in textbooks of medicine and in the literature concerning the possible relation between scleroderma and pathologic changes of the adrenal glands. This point has never been thoroughly settled, and the cause of scleroderma remains a mystery. In searching the literature of the past fifteen years I found only two reports specifically mentioning a relation of this disease to pathologic changes of the adrenal glands, and these were in the foreign literature. 1 For this reason, the following case is presented with the necropsy report.
