Resistencias, estéticas y políticas: crónicas de un estallido

Resist, as an action verb, has meanings that go far beyond subverting the established order, such as disorder or alteration. Resisting implies, above all, organization, a symbolic struggle for the redefinition or rejection of the dominant models or paradigms (political, economic, social, cultural) with which a determined social group builds very concrete forms of thought, action and knowledge. The project was developed in four Colombian cities (Bogotá, Cúcuta, Vistahermosa and Popayán) recording the resistance actions of social groups with heterogeneous purposes through ethnography as a methodological commitment. Among the conclusions we can highlight a strong sense of solidarity and collaboration between the groups, consolidated with visible leaderships and despite this often imperceptible in which collective and voluntary work is important, the emphasis on the territorial nature of the forms of resistance and the recovery of its meaning to understand the realities of the context and identity, understood in its consolidating character of recognition, history, culture and link with the territory in which aesthetics moves away from the purposes of beauty cloistered in the norm or hegemonic or elitist forms, to draw attention to a sense that has been neutralized and that are linked to active purposes.

Comparative Study on Non-Elite Clarinet Education in China and Australia: Cultural Influences and Educational Approaches

This paper presents a comparative study of non-elite clarinet education in China and Australia, focusing on differences and similarities in historical background, teaching focus, teaching methods, and music culture. Both China and Australia were colonies of Western countries and were deeply influenced by foreign cultures, showing a cultural characteristic of the interweaving of local and foreign cultures. The differences in local culture have led to the development of a unique educational philosophy. Chinese clarinet education, influenced heavily by traditional Chinese concepts and Western classical music, emphasizes technical mastery and exam standards, while Australian clarinet education focuses on individual expression and exploring diverse musical genres. The study reveals how each system reflects cultural values and educational philosophies unique to each country. The paper proposes that combining the technical rigor of Chinese education with the creativity-oriented approach of Australian education could foster a more comprehensive and engaging learning experience for non-elite clarinet students in both countries.

Transformasi Peran Mekah dalam Dinamika Kebudayaan Islam di Nusantara: Studi Komperatif

This research uses a historical and comparative approach to determine changes in the role of Mecca in the dynamics of Islamic culture in the archipelago. Mecca, the holy city of Muslims, is not only a spiritual center and symbol of unity, but also plays a strategic role in spreading Islamic values and is popular in various parts of the world, including the archipelago in the formation of Islamic cultural identity. This study focuses on the mechanisms for the spread of Islam through various channels such as trade, bi al-har da'wah, marriage, education, and cultural acculturation which allows Islam to be widely accepted in the archipelago without any coercion. In addition, theories regarding the origins of the Islamic invasion of Indonesia, such as the Meccan, Gujarati, Persian and Chinese theories, are evaluated to understand the diversity of origins and processes of Islamization. The important role of Islamic scholars and kingdoms such as the Sultanate of Demak, Cirebon, and Banten in strengthening the spread of Islam in the region is also analyzed. This research shows that Mecca as the center of Islamic civilization has a significant influence on religious practices in the archipelago and the formation of the character of local Islamic culture, including the direction of worship centered on the Kaaba. The results of this research show that although the role of Mecca in the dynamics of Islamic culture in the archipelago continues to change, the universal Islamic values of Mecca remain relevant in responding to current challenges and in various Islamic cultures guarantee continuity cultural diversity of the archipelago.

Spiritual and Intellectual Development of Young Researchers in the Process of Their Scientific Formation in Institutions of Higher Education

On the basis of the analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature and the practice of research activity, the peculiarities of the spiritual and intellectual development of young researchers in the process of their scientific formation were revealed. It has been proven that the level of their methodological culture is the basis of the spiritual and intellectual development of education seekers as a systematic factor that ensures the systematization of cognitive and value-oriented strategies, relevant knowledge and skills, and becomes the core of the personal, professional and scientific development of a teacher-researcher. In this context, spiritual-intellectual development should be built on the basis of systemic, integral, narrative, activity, person-oriented, axiological humanistic, competence-based, cultural, adaptive and other approaches. The functions of methodological culture are singled out, such as worldview, cognitive, prognostic, semiotic, critical-reflexive, creative, and the function of professional self-development of the future teacher, which are directed by the worldview function. In the direction of spiritual and intellectual development, the stages of scientific formation of young researchers are highlighted: 1) entry into scientific and pedagogical activity (comprehension of the basic provisions of scientific and pedagogical activity, acquaintance with the research process); 2) scientific and professional formation (mastery of basic categories, methods of scientific and pedagogical knowledge, motivational and value orientation to scientific research); 3) conscious scientific search (spiritual and intellectual enrichment, mastering the basics of methodological culture, implementation of a research program); 4) scientific maturity (deep awareness of the specifics of pedagogical knowledge, personal growth, mastering cognitive processes and ways of thinking, methodological reflection, obtaining objective research results). The conducted research and taking into account the principles of academic integrity testify to the spiritual and intellectual growth of young researchers, which appears as an effective characteristic of methodological culture, which actualizes scientific and pedagogical thinking and acquires a proactive orientation and predicts their scientific activity.

Fantastic Corporeality of the Political Process (on the Example of Cinematic Material)

The article is devoted to the analysis of mythological foundations of mass culture and their role in the formation of political discourse through the images of fantastic characters reflecting archetypal motifs and emotionally affecting the collective unconscious. Three universal approaches to the creation of fantastic characters in mass culture are described: chimerization, gorgonization and cyborgization. The interaction between political discourse and the fantasy segment of mass culture is examined through the prism of the digimodern aesthetics described by Alan Kirby. The author explores how figures of monsters, zombies, mutants and other fantastic creatures become allegories of social, cultural and political processes. Particular attention is paid to the possibility of the fantasy story to discuss such pressing social issues as minority rights, the crises of capitalism, multiculturalism, and the nature of future revolutions. It also analyzes the conceptual component of the phenomenon of “soft power” of cinema in the context of shaping public opinion both inside and outside Western countries. It is emphasized that the “ideological elasticity” of fiction formats creates a space for safe and politically correct discussion of complex topics. The article may be of interest to researchers studying the interaction between mass culture and political processes, as well as the processes of myth-making in cinematography.

Effects of Organizational Culture Types on Construction Project Performance: A Competing Values Framework Approach in Ghanaian Perspective

Organizational culture plays a critical role in influencing various aspects of project performance. However, existing studies on the impact of specific cultural types on construction projects have produced mixed results. This research examines the effects of organizational culture types on the performance of construction projects. A descriptive cross-sectional design was adopted, utilizing a census sampling approach. Quantitative data were collected using structured questionnaires administered to 375 medium and large-size construction firms. The analysis employed both descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including correlation and regression analyses. The results revealed that market and hierarchy culture types positively influence construction project performance, while clan and adhocracy cultures do not exhibit a significant effect. Furthermore, cultural traits emphasizing external orientation, stability and control characteristic of a hybrid market-hierarchy culture were identified as stronger predictors of successful project outcomes compared to other cultural clusters. To optimize project performance, it is recommended that construction firms in Ghana transition from adhocracy-dominated cultures to hybrid market-hierarchy culture.

Усність і література. Про генеалогію модерної культури в «Базельських лекціях» Фридриха Ніцше

The lectures on classical philology that Friedrich Nietzsche delivered in Basel between 1869 and 1879 constitute an extraordinarily promising new field of study that has opened up in recent years to Nietzsche scholars. In this article I intend to offer a novel reconstruction of Greek culture as it emerges from Nietzsche's Lectures on the History of Greek Literature. In a pioneering manner with respect to his time, Nietzsche identifies the dimension of orality, of the spoken word, as the salient character of Greek culture, and he sets it against contemporary culture and education, which are based on writing and learning from books. My purpose is to show how Nietzsche's cultural critique acts, taking its cue from an ancient and obsolete culture to highlight the weaknesses and contradictions of his contemporary culture.

An Examination of the Causality of Meritocracy and the Collective Boredom of the Young Generation in Dramas: Focusing on <My Liberation Notes>

It is difficult to view the one-person culture centered around the youth generation as a cultural characteristic of a specific generation. Just as Simmel believed that capitalist changes in relations were behind the emergence of individualism since the modern era, the emergence of the one-person culture was not spontaneous either. Behind the one-person culture, there are youth who have encountered problematic situations such as NEETs, reclusive youth, and the n-po phenomenon. This draws attention to the special emotional state of the youth generation called ‘collective boredom.’ Boredom is an emotional state that leads to apathy resulting from repeated frustration and the abandonment of choices or orientations. The boredom experienced by the youth generation is a causal relationship between two social factors. One is the alienation phenomenon caused by the spread of neoliberalism, and the other is the meritocracy that emerged with capitalism. When the alienation of youth, which has been caused by long-term exposure to the discourse of meritocracy and neoliberal market logic in Korean society from elementary school to the early years of social life, becomes an emotional state, the youth generation experiences ‘collective boredom.’ A drama that well depicts the collective boredom of the youth generation is <My Liberation Notes>. This work allows us to look into the basis of the emotional state of the youth generation in Korea. All the characters in the play pursue happiness, but that soon leads to giving up, resignation, and boredom. Baudrillard said that the premise of equality is happiness, and that the happiness of modern people cannot escape the logic of a consumer society. Therefore, both equality and happiness are fictions created by a consumer society. However, the youth generation has become helpless against grand discourses such as equality as they experience repeated alienation due to meritocracy. The characters in the work lose the power to resist the established society accustomed to competition and achievement, the society that only expects the next achievement instead of fair compensation for achievement, and the neoliberal society that removes even the protective shield after frustration, and reveal an emotional state of collective boredom. This can be said to be the fundamental cause of the one-person culture. This paper examines how the youth generation in <My Liberation Notes> escapes and resists each individual’s command of existence based on the characteristics of boredom that modern philosophy has focused on. Through the characters in the work, the author depicts a situation in which the young generation encounters ‘deep boredom’ in order to ‘break through’ the oppression of the older generation, the injustice of consumer society, and the false consciousness of growth discourse. This shows a meaningful narrative solution to the reality that the young generation faces, and allows us to understand the choices of the young generation, such as the one-person culture and n-po phenomenon, from a fundamental perspective.

«Двойственность» как характеристика российской деловой культуры

Contemporary concepts of sociology of management are based on the fact that, despite the universalization of managerial practices caused by business internationalization, national culture creates a context of business interaction, adds originality to the national business culture, determines the behavior of employees of a com-pany and has a serious influence on organizational culture and management technologies. Russian business culture has developed along a complex trajectory, sometimes borrowing “advanced” western standards and practices, sometimes turning towards the East, but its constant tendency is to seek own identity, relying on soci-ocultural roots and spiritual-moral values. The author’s understanding of the phenomenon of business culture is presented in the article and on the basis of the analysis the following are highlighted most striking character-istics of Russian business culture can be considered to be the irrationality of management (decision-making based on experience or intuition), duality of the value system (simultaneously the manifestation of collectivism and individualism, masculinity and femininity of culture, acceptance of both “Western” and conservative tradi-tional values), contradictions of “Russian character” (from submission to rebellion, from militancy to mercy and compassion), high power distance, paternalism etc. In general, it is the unique Russian contradiction, “duality”, which becomes the most frequently encountered characteristic of Russian business culture in scientific litera-ture.

Spatial Fantasies in Contemporary Russian Cinema

Fantastic film worlds give the viewer a new experience of understanding and living in space – combining different locations, establishing and overcoming boundaries, transitions into a fascinating other reality. This article examines the spatial patterns that create arenas of action for characters in Russian films and series of fantasy-mystical content shot in the 2020s. Analyses of worldbuilding in science fiction are related to philosophical ideas about possible worlds and are most represented by discussions of fantasy literature, whereas film fiction and the spaces it depicts await research attention. The authors dissect spatial patterns in sci-fi cinema as a reflection of current social conflicts/divisions and solidarities/convergences; reflecting on how spatial configurations encode the unprecedented mediation of modern technologies and normalize futuristic spatial practices. The focus is on the recurring film-to-film emphasis on the permeability, hybridity and tunnelling of space, on the phantasmagoria of non-releasing places. Russian cinema responds to an ontological philosophical agenda by visualizing the permeability of boundaries and the co-presence of man and other beings. The analysis shows that the portals and roads linking dream and reality, Soviet and modern Moscow, the cyber village on Mars and other planets of the solar system bear a significant plot load. The movement of the characters in an extraordinary space reproduces the archetypal test of the road and provides an opportunity to discuss social and attitudinal issues relevant to the Russian present. Particular attention is paid to the pattern of non-releasing space, which concentrates the fear of isolation characteristic of the established culture of mobility. Science fiction in cinema immerses viewers in worlds inhabited by unusual creatures, filled with artefacts, infrastructure, often through plot tension, frightening hints, visual effects draws attention to significant problems and challenges, including in the discussion of images of the future.

НАЦИОНАЛЬНАЯ СПЕЦИФИКА ЯЗЫКОВЫХ СРЕДСТВ РЕПРЕЗЕНТАЦИИ УЛЫБКИ В АНГЛИЙСКОМ И РУССКОМ ЯЗЫКАХ

The relevance of this study is determined by the interest of scientists in the culturally determined specifics of the phenomenon of a smile and by the need for a contrastive analysis of the linguistic means representing it in English and Russian with the involvement of explanatory and phraseological dictionaries as well as language corpora. The aim of the work is to identify the national specifics of the means of representing the phenomenon of smiles in English and Russian. The study made it possible to identify national-specific means of representing the phenomenon of a smile, which can be divided into three groups: 1) means present only in one language and reflecting the specifics of culture; 2) means present only in one language and indirectly expressing the specifics of culture, in particular, the significance of a smile; 3) means present in both languages and correlated with one denotatum, but differing in the technique of secondary nomination. Among the first are the means in English that emphasize the importance of an optimistic attitude to life, the value of a smile, the obligatory presence of a smile under any circumstances, the connection of a smile with the key concept of individualistic Anglo-Saxon culture “privacy” and with the sense of humor important for the English-speaking society. In Russian such means include units that condemn excessive smiling, reflect the direction of a smile only to pleasant people but not to everyone and show the connection of a smile with the collectivist character of Russian culture. The second group includes such English units as smiler, wear nothing but a smile, plumber's smile. The third group includes pairs of phrases that accentuate different features of the same denotatum. The results of the study can be used by specialists dealing with the problems of lexicology, translation or intercultural communication.

Civilization Nature of European Legal Culture

. The paper analyzes the civilizational sources of European legal culture. The relevance of the subject matter can be explained by the complex dynamics of the European cultural tradition that is currently undergoing a transformation. The involvement of various cultural flows in the genesis of the legal essence of Europe complicates the understanding of the modern cultural identity of European law. An important motive for the study was to clarify the place of the Slavic historical tradition of law in the European cultural space. The genesis of the European legal tradition is considered on the basis of the features of the Greco-Roman civilization. The Authors have characterized the features and spiritual (religious) sources of further development of European law, namely: Christianity and Islam. The study also highlights typological legal correlations. It explains the features of the European legal mentality and concludes that a special type of European legal consciousness was formed in the Middle Ages. It combines religious, mental, state-secular and folk elements. The authors draw a conclusion on heterogeneity of the civilizational elements of the European legal culture, the inclusion of various civilizational flows in it — Greco-Roman, Christian (Western and Eastern churches), Muslim and Jewish.The paper outlines the contours of the split of European legal consciousness in the Middle Ages based on the rupture of the Western and Eastern churches; explains the legal meaning of some elements of doctrinal practice. It provides a civilizational characteristic of the Slavic legal culture, its anti-rationalism and a special type of procedural thinking. It shows the significance of Muslim culture in the development of the European legal tradition; reveals the historical features of the judicial-customary type of European legal civilization. Based on the historical analysis of the formation of the European legal tradition, the authors summarize modern trends in the new integration of European legal identity.

Parliamentary debate and the construction of the national characteristics of Swedish parliamentarism

ABSTRACT This article examines how the characteristics of parliamentary debate were discussed in Sweden between the late nineteenth century and the Second World War, covering the period of parliamentary democratization and the interwar crisis of democracy. Focusing on the comments on the nature of parliamentary rebates in the printed press, as well as the ways in which MPs comment on debate while they speak in parliament, this article shows that there is a remarkable continuity in the ways in which Swedish parliamentary debate was viewed, as a compromising negotiation in parliamentary committees was elevated to a national characteristic of Swedish parliamentary culture both by the conservative critics of parliamentary democracy and the social democratic and liberal defenders of democracy. What was in the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth centuries characteristically a conservative argument in favour of safeguarding the quality and independence of the working procedures of parliament against the consequences of democratization was in the 1930s turned into an argument against the threats that political extremism and totalitarian ideas posed to parliamentary democracy. The study shows that the Swedish style of parliamentary debate was continuously contrasted with the pro et contra style of debate in the British Parliament, which was deemed unsuitable to the Swedish constitutional tradition even if it sometimes gained support as an ideal type. The main examples of debates on parliamentary procedures discussed in the study deal with the question of open voting and the rights of the Speaker to regulate debates.

The Schnorrer in Israel Zangwill's Work

Abstract This article charts the historical and literary origins of the schnorrer, a Yiddish term for ‘proud beggar’ and a character of Eastern European Jewish culture. It aims to shed light on the schnorrer's entrance as a protagonist in British popular literature in the work of Israel Zangwill, and to show its originality. To do so, it focuses mainly on the novella The King of Schnorrers (1894), in which the schnorrer holds the leading role, and on Children of the Ghetto (1892), in which the schnorrer is a secondary and yet essential character. By locating the schnorrer outside of the Ashkenazi ethno-social context, Zangwill carries out a refashioning of this figure and grounds him in a wider social and literary lineage. He turns him into a literary character who challenges Western capitalist societies, thanks to a multi-layered identity, conflicting contexts and plural literary genres.

Reinterpretation of Mythological Characters in Youth Culture

The article deals with the specifics of modern reinterpretation of mythological characters, as well as its representation in youth culture. Mythological subjects and their heroes remain attractive for the creative sphere for many centuries. For young people, immersion in mythology allows them to develop constructive solutions to many issues, to recreate a positive picture of the world through the eternal idea of the triumph of good and justice reflected in ancient texts. It is the reinterpretation approach to the reading of world-famous works that allows us to use a wide range of myth. For example, the interest in the myths of European society in the second half of the 20th century is due to the fact that this time is associated with the threat of the outbreak of nuclear war and, as a consequence, with constant uncertainty and the simultaneous desire of each person for a life-affirming and immutable basis, such as the classical one. The evolution of representations of myth in culture has led to the emergence of reinterpretations of the original source, making some of them popular, including with youth audiences.In the 21st century, other mythological images have emerged in accordance with the challenges of the time, which we consider as cultural products of a new level, characterized not only by an appeal to the classical text, but also by a commercial component. The article provides several examples of how the new artistic presentation of mythological characters is reflected in modern mass youth culture — in literature, video games and cinema. The modern interpretation of the tales of ancient civilizations is based on the cultural preferences of mass viewers: the images of myths can be canonical or modernized, but in any case universal. The process of giving new meaning to myths familiar from the school days from an unexpected (nonclassical) side has been repeatedly discussed in the scientific cultural field.The relevance of reinterpretation of mythological characters in youth culture is due to the desire of the new generation not only to rethink the cultural heritage, but also to get in touch with it.

The Problem of Visual Complexity: Criteria for Analysis and Evaluation

The article analyses the concept of visual complexity, highlighted by different researchers as a significant characteristic of contemporary visual communication and culture. The problem of ambiguity of the concept and its dependence on different objective and subjective factors and perception variables is posed. Formal categories and criteria for assessing visual complexity are defined, its stable patterns in the subject area of corporate identity —logo, are revealed. With the help of the identified categories visual complexity is analyzed through specific formal universal attributes that can be systematized, which makes it possible to answer the question of what makes a logo complex. The concept of complexity of corporate identity is meaningfully revealed from the point of view of designers — its direct developers, who determine the visual-graphic, constructive and plastic character of the brand logo. For the first time in the Russian-speaking scientific space, an empirical study of the position of professional designers regarding the significance of the proposed criteria was conducted. The quantitative survey method allowed objectifying the point of view of the professional audience: the data is characterized by stability in comparison with the data obtained from the general audience. Visual complexity is thus conceptualized and empirically operationalized without a gap between the theory and practice of visual communication. It is concluded that, as an expressive design tool, visual complexity is a positive characteristic in contemporary media communication.

The missiological character of deaf Catholic material culture

Too often, deaf Catholics are assumed and expected to be “passive recipients of mercy” rather than active participants in mission. This is far from the role that deaf Catholics have played in the body of Christ. This introduction to deaf Catholic material culture serves to highlight one often overlooked source that demonstrates how deaf Catholics are active participants in the church’s mission—through the creation, curation, and dissemination of objects. First, the essay contextualizes deaf Catholic material culture within the sociocultural model of disability, without which the meaning and value that the objects hold cannot be fully appreciated. Then it explains how these objects create culturally-deaf spaces and the significance these spaces hold for the deaf community. Second, an analysis of various objects in public and personal spaces, which range from liturgical art and liturgical furnishings to everyday items such as pens and mugs in deaf Catholic communities is presented. Characteristics of deaf Catholic material culture and an explanation of how and what theologies of mission are operationalized through these objects in various spaces are discussed. The essay concludes with a typology of deaf Catholic material culture and the missiological opportunities they present. In so doing, the author argues that attention to material culture in deaf Catholicism counters the misconception that deaf Catholics are incapable of mission and challenges ableist theological ideas of deafness which portray deaf Catholic experiences as deficient, spiritually inferior, and dependent on hearing people.

THE PHENOMENON OF GUILT IN PERSONAL GROWTH STRATEGIES IN AN ACTUAL SOCIOCULTURAL SITUATION

The phenomenon of guilt is considered in the context of the author’s study of personal growth strategies. The objective regularity of the interrelation and interdependence of the phenomena of the material and spiritual world allows us to consider the objects of research - guilt and personal growth - in the classical paradigm of life circumstances. We present these phenomena in an actual cultural situation: in the structure of the personal, individual; as part of the structure of the social, collective; at several social levels: personal, social, collective; at cognitive, emotional and rational levels; in relation to institutions and institutional practices; as a field of coordinates for the formation of a personal growth strategy in an actual cultural situation. We assume that under the influence of historical and cultural events, guilt can be embedded in the type of thinking and type of reaction of a person, influence volitionalqualities. The article examines the possible correlations of this phenomenon with the type of personality strategy in the context of individual and collective culture of overcoming a negative life scenario. We explore the manifestation of guilt: in literary works; in pathological situations of suicide and harassment; in the personal positions of the victim, aggressor, observer, parents and volunteers. We turn to examples of abuse at school and in the workforce, explaining the phenomenon under study in the field of psychotherapy, pointing out the angle of view on a positive way out of a negative life situation into a resource for personal development. We are talking about the relationship of guilt with shame and silence, or anger and the desire to publicize the aggressor - voicing a traumatic event, we give an example of a possible transformation of guilt into power. The experience of guilt is the basis of an individual’s morality in a real cultural situation, and this study is of interest for cultural knowledge: it summarizes and clearly demonstrates stable patterns of behavior characteristic of Russian culture; fixes cultural norms that have been formed for decades in Russian society; indicates the possibilities of modeling behavior - as a social norm - in the socio-cultural space.

Ethics of Motherhood in Chinese Traditions

Abstract In this essay, I aim to highlight the neglected fundamental notion of Motherhood as an ethical principle within Chinese philosophy, particularly in Taoism. Traditionally, it has been relegated to the realm of the Yin-Principle or the Feminine, serving as a complementary as well as opposite pole to the Yang- or Masculine-Principle. However, this interpretation would lead to the narrowing of the primordial essence and potentially misinterpret the fundamental ethos of Taoism. This exploration has implications that reach beyond its very theme. Through the discussions within contemporary Confucianism surrounding concepts like Tian-Xia (天下, All under Heaven), Qinqin (亲亲, Family), or role ethics, it becomes evident that a patriarchal emphasis often prevails, overshadowing the maternal character of Chinese Philosophy and Culture. In contrast to monotheistic traditions where an almighty God creates ex-nihilo (out of nothing), Chinese mythology, as seen in the stories of Pangu and Nüwa, depicts an archaic development of the cosmos, distinct from the creation myths found in Western religions. Notably, the goddess Nüwa is credited with the creation of human beings. In the following, I will explore the ethical dimensions of motherhood within Chinese philosophical traditions, notably within the intertwined contexts of Confucianism, Sinicized Buddhism, and particularly Taoism. Through this examination, my objective is to scrutinize the ethical and cultural underpinnings of Confucianism by juxtaposing the interplay between Confucian tenets like Ren (仁, benevolence, humanity) and self-cultivation with maternal ethical principles. This will underscore the differences between maternal and paternal roles within familial relationships and unveil the implicit authoritarianism inherent in Confucian paternalism.
