Penguatan Nilai-Nilai Karakter Nasionalisme Remaja Melalui Tokoh Bajak Laut Topi Jerami dalam Anime One Piece

This research aims to provide an overview of the values of youth nationalist character through the straw hat pirate character in the One Piece anime series. The research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data sources for this research are the head of the Pontianak one piece anime community, members of the Pontianak one piece anime community, and teenagers who love one piece anime aged 15-21 years. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques for data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the nationalist character contained in the main character of the One Piece anime series is unity and oneness, solidarity, independence and willingness to sacrifice. The description of the nationalistic character that teenagers emulate after watching the One Piece anime series is unity and oneness in the activities they carry out, solidarity in terms of friendship, independence shown by strong determination and desire, and willingness to make sacrifices that are applied to everyday life. There are positive impacts such as being able to provide encouragement for personal and social development, being able to form a better character with the surrounding environment, while the negative impact is that they tend to spend more time watching cellphone screens, teenagers are more consumptive by buying knick-knacks or clothes that match the animated characters. Strategi Pembelajaran Guru PAI dalam Meningkatkan Akhlakul Karimah Siswa

This study aims to determine the learning strategy, describe the noble character, and describe the impact of the learning strategy of Islamic religious education teachers. This study is a qualitative descriptive study using a spiritual, psychological and pedagogical approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data sources come from the principal, vice principal, and Islamic religious education teachers. Secondary data sources come from teacher data, student data and infrastructure data. The main research instrument is the researcher himself then developed using observation guides, interviews and documentation checks. Data processing and analysis techniques go through three stages, namely the process of selecting data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Islamic religious education strategy used at MI Asy Syifa Balikpapan is an inquiry, expository, cooperative, affective and problem solving learning strategy, consisting of questions and answers, discussions, lectures, habits, exercises, group work, assignments, punishments and rewards. Description of the noble character of students with assessment indicators, namely religiousness, social discipline, cleanliness, and student responsibility. The impact of learning strategies on students' noble morals is quite good, students begin to be diligent in worship, disciplined, responsible for their relationships and themselves. However, this strategy has not achieved what is expected, so this strategy must be developed by finding learning strategies that can further improve students' noble morals.

Reassessing the role and lifetime of Q x in the energy transfer dynamics of chlorophyll a.

Chlorophylls are photoactive molecular building blocks essential to most photosynthetic systems. They have comparatively simple optical spectra defined by states with near-orthogonal transition dipole moments, referred to as B x and B y in the blue/green spectral region, and Q x and Q y in the red. Underlying these spectra is a surprisingly complex electronic structure, where strong electronic-vibrational interactions are crucial to the description of state characters. Following photoexcitation, energy-relaxation between these states is extremely fast and connected to only modest changes in spectral shapes. This has pushed conventional theoretical and experimental methods to their limits and left the energy transfer pathway under debate. In this work, we address the electronic structure and photodynamics of chlorophyll a using polarization-controlled static - and ultrafast - optical spectroscopies. We support the experimental data analysis with quantum dynamical simulations and effective heat dissipation models. We find clear evidence for B → Q transfer on a timescale of ∼100 fs and identify Q x signatures within fluorescence excitation and transient spectra. However, Q x is populated only fleetingly, with a lifetime well below our ∼30 fs experimental time resolution. Outside of these timescales, the kinetics are determined by vibrational relaxation and cooling. Despite its ultrashort lifetime, our theoretical analysis suggests that Q x plays a crucial role as a bridging state in B → Q energy transfer. In summary, our findings present a unified and consistent picture of chlorophyll relaxation dynamics based on ultrafast and polarization-resolved spectroscopic techniques supported by extensive theoretical models; they clarify the role of Q x in the energy deactivation network of chlorophyll a.

Bibliometric Analysis of the Scientific Impact of Single-Authored Articles in Brazilian Journals of Information

This research aims to describe the scientific impact of single-authored articles published in Brazilian journals in information-related fields (Archival, Library Science, Information Science and Museology) between 2009 and 2017. This is a bibliometric study of a descriptive character, with an applied quantitative methodological approach. The ABCDM database, the Harzing’s Publish or Perish software and the Lattes Platform were used for data collection, which were then fed into and analyzed as Excel table and SPSS (t-test). From 1680 single-authored articles, 313 were randomly selected for study. Main results regarding the authorship were: 55.12% of authors had more single-authored articles than multiple-authored articles; 67.36% of the most cited articles were single-authored. Main results regarding the articles were: 35.10% of single-authored articles were the most frequently cited among an author’s entire body of work; in 49.67% of the cases, the average number of citations of single-authored articles exceeded the authors’ total average number of citations; in 50.00% of cases, the average number of citations of single-authored articles exceeded the average number of citations of multiple-authored articles. The average number of citations of single-authored articles exceeded the average number of citations of multiple-authored articles and of articles in general.

On the Maravalia echinulata (Niessl ex Rabenh.) Ono (Pucciniales: Chaconiaceae) with reference to its host range and distribution

Maravalia echinulata (Niessl ex Rabenh.) Ono has been rediscovered from West Bengal, India, after its last report in 1931. Sections of infected host leaves were cut, stained in cotton blue, and mounted in lactophenol. All five spore forms of this macrocyclic autoecious rust fungus are described in detail, with notes on its world distribution, distribution in India, and host range. Pycnia were found to be amphigenous, whereas aecia, uredinia, and telia were hypophyllous. Pycnia subcuticular, globose with flexuous hyphae belonging to type 4 of Hiratsuka & Sato (1982) containing chains of spermatia. Aeciospores are spiny, and catenulate, forming long chains connected by hyaline disjunctor cells. Urediniospores pedicellate, spiny, hyaline, and thin-walled when young, but brown and thick-walled when mature, intermingled with paraphyses. Basidium cylindric with a pedicel, 4-celled, tetrasterigmatic; basidiospores globose. Discrepancies in descriptions of microscopic characters by different authors with regard to the present observations have also been discussed.

Unraveling Author’s Purpose

In this lesson, students demonstrate an understanding of author’s purpose by developing their own narrative and bringing it to life with Bloxels, a platform/app and physical kit for people to build their own video games. This lesson is a progressive activity where students apply what they learned about the authors' purpose, according to TEKs Guide (n.d.) ELA.5.10, and create a narrative. Students are divided into groups and given a base “setting.” They can expand this setting to fit their narrative using the included Bloxels Planning Materials. Groups plan their narrative, design key scenes using Bloxels, and narrate them using a consistent viewpoint. Students are expected to include: text (script, setting description, character descriptions), graphics/images, point of view, anecdote or hyperbole, figurative language.

APLICATIVO UNIVERSITÁRIO DO BEM: DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TECNOLOGIA PARA GESTÃO DE ATIVIDADES COMPLEMENTARES EM INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO SUPERIOR

This article aims to investigate and analyze the behavior profiles and preferences of undergraduate students in relation to complementary activities in order to propose technological alternatives to optimize this process. The research, of exploratory and descriptive character, adopted as a technical procedure the case study at Fumec University, a higher education institution located in the city of Belo Horizonte. Data collection took place through structured interviews, carried out with undergraduate students at Fumec University, from September 1 to 30, 2023. The results indicated the interest of students in using a mobile application as an alternative to the analog methods currently used by HEIs. In this way, the app called Universitário do Bem was developed, which aims to manage the complementary activities carried out in the HEIs. The implementation of the app can save time and resources, in addition to promoting the university extension activity, which is still undervalued in Brazil. With the increasing integration of mobile applications into daily life, the proposed solution has the potential to significantly facilitate the process of carrying out complementary activities for students. The project faced challenges such as slow application and delays in conducting tests due to the high turnover of responsible students. Proposed improvements include the use of a more robust server and code overhaul to optimize performance.

PUBLICIDADE ENGANOSA NO COMÉRCIO ELETRÔNICO: IMPACTOS ACERCA DO PRINCÍPIO DA HIPOSSUFICIÊNCIA DO CONSUMIDOR EM FACE DO DIREITO À INFORMAÇÃO

This paper will address misleading advertising in e-commerce: impacts on the principle of consumer insufficiency in view of the right to information. The general objective of the paper is to make a critical analysis of the impacts of misleading advertising in e-commerce on the principle of consumer insufficiency and the right to information, taking into account the legal framework. And the specific objectives: Contextualize advertising in e-commerce, define misleading advertising, conceptualize e-commerce and present the principle of insufficiency and how consumers can protect themselves from misleading advertising. The study in question stands out for its relevance, as it seeks to address situations of injustice that compromise consumer relations in an ethical and conscious manner. This study was conducted based on a qualitative approach, recognized for its analytical and descriptive character. The collection and analysis of information occurred through bibliographic research. As the work progressed, it was discovered that the analysis of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC) and complementary instruments, such as Decree No. 7,962/13 and the Internet Civil Rights Framework, showed that the existing regulations, despite representing a practical and accessible alternative for consumers and suppliers, these relationships still face regulatory gaps that put the protection of consumer rights at risk, particularly in situations involving misleading advertising. The fragility of the consumer, amplified by the phenomenon of insufficiency, reinforces the need for more robust and effective legal instruments.

The Lithuanian Nomenklatura of the Period of Stagnation in the Eyes of the Soviet “Governor General”: the Clash during the Appointment of Petras Griškevičius

The article, based on the author’s conversation with Valery Charazov (born 1918), second secretary of the Lithuanian Communist party Central Committee (further LCP CC) 1967–1978, archive sources, and memoirs of other activists of that period, describes Charazov’s attitude to the situation in Soviet Lithuania after the death of the LCP CC first secretary Antanas Sniečkus, his evaluation of the Republic’s highest nomenklatura as well as his active role in appointing second secretary Petras Griškevičius as first secretary of LCP CC. Valery Charazov’s activity as LCP CC second secretary is similar to the activities of second secretaries of other republics, and it allows us to see the wider pattern of their activity throughout the Soviet Union. On the other hand, certain aspects allow us to see the Soviet Union–wide political processes from the local perspective of a republic. This is revealed though analysis of the actions of Charazov’s Lithuanian nomenklatura opponents – how they used their political connections with Ukrainian CP CC first secretary Shcherbitsky and with the Dnepropetrovsk political group which became entrenched during Leonid Brezhnev’s rule, as well as through the review of the political heritage of Antanas Sniečkus, who was also a client of the “shadow” USSR cardinal Mikhail Suslov. The article looks at the survey of the Lithuanian nomenklatura carried out by Valery Charazov. With this survey he sought to elect and present to Moscow the most suitable candidate to succeed Antanas Sniečkus. This survey and the character descriptions of candidates made in its wake was the informational basis that enabled the election of a candidate satisfactory to both Moscow and the local nomenklatura. The article presents the results of the survey carried out by Charazov. The following candidates were nominated for the position of LCP CC first secretary: chairman of the Council of Ministers of LSSR Juozas Maniušis, three LCP CC secretaries – Secretary for Industry and Construction Algirdas Ferensas, Secretary for Ideology Antanas Barkauskas, Secretary for Agriculture Rimgaudas Songaila – as well as the chairman of the party’s Vilnius city committee Petras Griškevičius, chairman of the LSSR labour unions’ committee Kazimieras Mackevičius, and head of LCP CC Organisational-party work division Vytautas Astrauskas. In the 47 interviews with contemporary party and Soviet leaders, the candidacy of Petras Griškevičius gained the most support. This activist was the first choice of 12 persons, and was considered a potential candidate (among others) – by 29 persons. Antanas Barkauskas was the first choice of one of those interviewed and was considered a possible candidate by 11 persons; Rimgaudas Songaila was no one’s first choice, but was seen as a possible candidate by 9 persons; Kazimieras Mackevičius, like Songaila, was not anyone’s preferred candidate, but 6 representatives considered him a possible candidate. Charazov’s survey revealed how unpopular Maniušis, who was viewed as one of the favourites, was. No one considered him as a first choice and 17 people considered him a possible candidate. Arguably, the main result of Charazov’s survey was the genuine characterisation of the nominees. It was distinguished from other formal responses of the time by the open identification of negative character traits of the candidates and a rather accurate description of their personalities.

Exploring the Metaphorical Use of TEMPERATURE Domain in Character Descriptions in Susan Cooper’s The Dark Is Rising Sequence: A Cognitive Linguistic Approach

This study investigates the metaphorical use of the TEMPERATURE domain in character descriptions within Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising series, adopting the framework of Conceptual Metaphor Theory. Despite extensive scholarly attention to the series from literary and cultural studies perspectives, there is a notable gap in cognitive linguistic analysis. Concerning the TEMPERATURE domain, though it is essential to human experience and metaphorically rich in daily thought and language, there has been limited research on the role of this domain in literary discourse. To fill these research gaps, this study adopted the mixed-methods approach, combining (1) content analysis to examine the relationship between the TEMPERATURE domain, specifically WARMTH and COLDNESS domains, and character types and (2) thematic analysis to explore how these domains describe good and evil characters throughout the series. The findings reveal that both WARMTH and COLDNESS domains are used to describe good and evil characters, with no distinctive domain exclusive to each character type. This challenges the conventional association of warmth with goodness and coldness with evil. Such complexity can be attributed to the deceitful nature of evil characters and the emotional detachment of virtuous characters for the greater good, as demonstrated in the novel series. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the creative use of temperature-related metaphors in literature, offering insights into their role in character construction and thematic development.

“She feels and thinks”: Mother's emotion and mental state talk on book reading activities

Mother's emotion and mental state talk (EMST) in storybook reading context has been reported to be positively correlated with children's social understanding. Previous findings postulate that cultural context and book formats could affect the emergence of EMST. On the contrary, research about the EMST in the Indonesian cultural context and in various book formats is limited. Hence, further research needs to be conducted to explore the characteristics of EMST in Indonesian families. The current study aims to analyze which type of EMST is preferred by mothers in Indonesia, the frequency of EMST usage across various levels of reading difficulty, and the functions of EMST among Indonesian mothers. Secondary data were analyzed qualitatively from parents' video recordings of reading book activities. The main findings of this research suggest that, while most participants reported utilizing desire talk as a means of EMST, they were more likely to emphasize character descriptions, storylines, or general knowledge compared to EMST in shared book reading sessions. The lack of spontaneous EMST in Indonesian mothers may reflect the cultural influence on the expression of emotions and mental states in everyday life.

Metatheoretical Foundations of Educational Theory. Selected Aspects

This article presents metatheoretical analyses. Their subject is educational theory, while the aim is to formulate descriptive metatheoretical remarks on selected aspects of the functioning of educational theory as a sub-discipline of pedagogical science. To that end, the article provides terminological, definitional, historical and functional considerations regarding the metatheory and theory of education. In particular, it addresses the difficulties in defining educational theory, its normative and descriptive character and its dependence on worldview and ideological factors.

Habits’ Description of the Ideal Characters in Lao-Literature

n this research project, the researchers aimed to describe the habits of the Ideal Characters in Lao-Literature regarding their physical characteristics, personalities of characters. The instrument used for this study was a questionnaire which included 21 items to collect the information to describe the habits of ideal characters in Lao-literature towards on explanation, interpretation and evaluation. The results of this study revealed that there were 4 aspects on anatomical traits description - standing, walking, sitting, lying down or sitting. There were also 5 areas in the conceptual description - perseverance, overcoming obstacles, loyalty to family, nation and the generosity to family-society. The characters were seen to be good with manners, intelligent, good problem solving, patriotic, courageous, honest, doctrinal, united, ideological, far-sighted, genuine public and humble. In addition, the characters were kind, determine, high self-sacrificing, patient, loyal, gratitude and supportive for others.

The Cultural Paradox of All-Male Performance: (Dis)Figuring the Third Beauty in the Studio Life’s Twelfth Night

The aim of this article is to explore the ambiguous and unstable boundaries of gender images depicted in Studio Life’s Twelfth Night (2011) where male actors perform female characters similar to the practice on the Shakespearean stage. As Akira Uno, one of the influential illustrators of Japanese shōjo manga, participated in designing the stage set, costumes, and make-up of the characters, the production presents the effect of “the third beauty.” This is characterised by both masculine and feminine attributes while simultaneously being neither masculine nor feminine. This unique feature reflects the position of women in modern Japanese society, where representations of female gender and sexuality are often marginalised and oppressed under the male-dominated social atmosphere. Consequently, the image of female gender has been rigidly fixed and stereotyped according to traditional norms. In this setting, the effeminate and beautiful boys in an exotic place become surrogates for females, who can freely explore their gender and sexual identity within the illusory world, where both homoerotic and heterosexual relationships are explored. Studio Life’s Twelfth Night reflects this illusion by adapting the styles of shōjo manga, but the production seldom offers critical insights or questions on gender issues, especially in the context of the realities faced by Japanese women in daily life. This article examines descriptions of female characters performed by male actors and interviews with the director, Kurata Jun. The main focus is on how the artists perceive and express the concept of gender in relation to Japanese social conditions, demonstrated through their physical portrayals and gestures in all-male casting.

Pendampingan Penyusunan Profil Kampung Ifar Besar Tahun 2024

A village profile is a comprehensive description of the village's character, in the form of basic data: natural resources, human resources, institutions, facilities, and infrastructure as well as village developments and problems. Until early 2024, this Community Service (PKM) is aimed at assisting in preparing village profiles by updating data and information on the character of Ifar Besar village. The method chosen is assistance in updating data based on basic data about natural resources, human resources, institutions, facilities, and infrastructure as well as institutions. PKM assistance in preparing the profile of Ifar Besar village is; first, compiling data on village potential and problems; second, updating data on village potential and problems to determine village development policies according to future needs. The results of assistance with the profile of the Ifar Besar village, in the form of a village profile compilation completed with thematic maps, tables, and diagrams, has been a success as indicated by an increase in the knowledge of village officials in updating data assisted by students who are doing Community Service Program. Based on the results of interviews with 20 participants, 17 participants (85%) stated that their understanding and skills had increased regarding collecting and processing village data. Furthermore, 18 participants (90%) considered that the resulting village profile was very useful for planning sustainable development in the future. Indirectly, this success also shows that the obstacles faced by Ifar Besar Village are not only human resources but also financial support as well as facilities and infrastructure.

Use of traditional tools and micro-computed tomography for the taxonomy of carnivorous bivalves from the deep waters of Southwestern Atlantic

Abstract In this study, we conduct a morphological integrative analysis, using traditional techniques and micro-computed tomography imaging, on Septibranchia species. Specimens deposited in malacological collections and samples collected aboard the research vessels Puerto Deseado and Austral off Mar del Plata (~36°S), San Jorge Gulf (~46°), and Marine Protected Area Namuncurá/Burdwood Bank area (~54°S), at depths ranging from 200 to 3000 m, are the subjects of this study. Seven species were identified, including Cardiomya cleryana (d’Orbigny, 1846), Cardiomya knudseni (Allen & Morgan, 1981), Lyonsiella cf. fragilis Allen & Turner, 1974, and Cetoconcha spinulosa (Thiele, 1912), previously found in the study area. Cardiomya fragilissima (E. A. Smith, 1885), an Antarctic/sub-Antarctic species, extends its distribution up to 36°S. Two new species, Cetoconcha gigas sp. nov. and Lyonsiella tentaculata sp. nov., are described. A lectotype is designated for Pholadomya adelaidis Hedley, 1916 and a neotype for Sphenia cleryana d’Orbigny, 1846. A detailed description of the morphological characters of each species and genus, along with insights into their geographical and bathymetric distribution, are provided. The micro-computed tomography analysis of Cardiomya cleryana, Cardiomya fragilissima, and Cetoconcha spinulosa contributed to a detailed anatomical inspection and revealed the presence of muscle bundles associated with the anterior portion of the visceral mass in the scanned specimens.

ABORDAGEM AS MULHERES VÍTIMAS DE VIOLÊNCIA POR ENFERMEIRAS E ENFERMEIROS

Introduction: violence against women is a matter of public interest that transcends geographical, cultural, and socioeconomic boundaries. It is understood as any act or conduct that violates human rights, based on gender, that causes death, harm, or physical, sexual, psychological, or patrimonial suffering to women. Primary health care is the individual’s gateway to the network, thus the nurse must be trained to recognize possible cases of violence and effectively welcome women, to establish measures for prevention, promotion, and care for victims. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of the approach taken by nurses in primary care to women victims of violence, seeking to identify practices and strategies that can be improved to offer comprehensive and welcoming care, to contribute to health promotion and coping with gender violence. Method: a study of a qualitative methodological approach, with an explanatory descriptive character, through an integrative review of the literature on national and international publications in representative journals in the field of nursing, indexed in the virtual database PubMed, LILACS e Medline, within the period delimited for this research, in the years 2019 to 2024. Discussion: the analyses highlighted the different types of violence against women, the need for primary care nurses to be trained to identify and welcome victims, as well as the obstacles encountered by the health class. Conclusion: the attributions of the Primary Health Care nurse are essential for the reception of women who are victims of violence, considering that they are the first professional to have contact with the victim and build a bond, which is essential for the victim to remain in the care network and disassociate themselves from the abuser.

The Incorporation of the Sustainable Development Goals into Fashion Companies in South Brazil

This article checks the performance of the fashion companies in South Brazil relative to the incorporation of actions within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study adopts a quantitative approach of descriptive character, based on the Survey Method, applied to companies in one of the main fashion producing regions in Brazil. It was possible to ensure that the best performance of companies was achieved in gender equality and decent work and economic growth, with good and excellent performance, respectively. However, the performance of the companies in consumption and responsible production (SDG 12) and fight against climate change (SDG 13) were classified within the poor performance category. What demonstrates that the companies act unevenly in the different SDGs surveyed. Therefore, it is necessary to create a more global view of actions to compensate for their weaknesses, and as a consequence improve their sustainability. The negative performance is worrying because changes in production systems are urgent as pollution levels have increased on the planet. This study contributes with a data collection instrument that can be replicated in other fashion companies in different social, economic and cultural contexts.

Archtypology of the Figural Antagonist in Classical Fairy Tales and Other Culture-Forming Stories

The present study focuses on the semiotic profile of a literary character acting as a villain/antagonist (Propp) as one of the central factors of the existential problem situation (the de facto “originator” of problems), which represents a general theme in the folk fairy tales and/or culture-forming stories. The aim of this paper is neither to cover all the principles and manifestations of antagonists exhaustively, nor to present a complete typological description of antagonistic characters, but to cover those basic forms and most frequent or otherwise essential attributes that canonically standardize and significantly universalize the archetype of an antagonist in the selected range of narratives. The issue is approached from the perspective of literary theory (with an emphasis on the morphological, structural, and thematic analysis of the literary characters), and it is materially and argumentatively based on the representative sets of folklore and culture-forming narratives (Aarne-Thompson-Uther’s international catalog of fairy tale types, world myths, canonical texts, etc.), as well as on their national (Slovak) variants.

Women in the Mix: A Critical-Pragmatic Study of the Gender Representation in Nigerian Hip-hop Music

Hip-hop music has become a popular trend in Nigeria, as it enjoys a high level of acceptance among the Nigerian youths. Thus, this study examines the representation of female gender in hip-hop music and the messages the music conveyed about female gender; it also unravels the hidden pragmatic meanings behind the content of the music. Nine (9) data from the lyrics of selected hip-hop music were randomly selected and analysed using Mey's (2001) pragmatic act theory. This paper adopted a qualitative approach which is due to the nature of the data that was analysed and the approach that was used in analysing it. Findings revealed a dominant portrayal of slangy expressions suggesting sexual overtones, female as mere edibles, women as sexual stimulants, seductive dance steps, and indecent dressing in the lyrical contents sampled. The paper also revealed that the implicit practs of exposing, seducing, luring and proposing were used in the data to show the role females play as characters in hip-hop music videos. The paper concludes that the use of vulgar expressions in the description of these female characters portrayed them mainly as sex commodities and sex workers, this questions the dignity of the African woman and the virtues she is expected to project to her fellow female folk, home and abroad.
