Quality education is a critical aspect to improve the welfare of the state and nation through improving the quality of human resources. Education that meets the criteria or quality standards will simultaneously determine the improvement of the nation's competitiveness. Changes that are increasingly massive and global require every country to be able to maintain its competitiveness. One of the important things in efforts to improve the quality of education is educational institutions. Educational institutions are the foremost education movers as well as one of the benchmarks for the success of a nation's education, in addition to educational output and other things. especially Islamic Religious Education in Madrasah Aliyah, because students at this level are very decisive in the future where their education will be continued. Improving the quality of education equally is a necessity for the existence of a nation without distinguishing the cultural, religious and ethnic identities of its people. Moreover, George R. Terry identified four management functions, namely planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The research used qualitative method to describe this field. Moreover, The aim of this study are expected to provide a constructive contribution and able to provide a positive stimulant in the development of Islamic religious education in an effort to improve the quality management of Islamic religious education in Madrasah Aliyah An-Nawawi and Madrasah Aliyah at Tanara district in general.
