The development of information technology brings a change in society. The birth of social media caused people's behavior patterns to experience a shift in existing culture, ethics, and norms. Indonesia, with its large population and diverse ethnic, racial, and religious cultures, has a lot of potential for social change. This article aims to analyze the consequences caused by social media and aims to ensure that social media can be used more wisely by using literature methods in the form of a literature review. The data analysis technique in this article is to collect library data from national and international journals that are relevant to information technology. The results and conclusions in this writing are that the existence of social media has influenced social life in society. Changes in social relationships or as changes to the balance (equilibrium) of social relationships and all forms of changes in social institutions in a society, which affect the social system, including values, attitudes, and behavioral patterns between groups in society. Positive social changes such as ease of obtaining and conveying information, obtaining social and economic benefits. Meanwhile, social changes tend to be negative, such as the emergence of social groups in the name of religion, ethnicity and certain behavioral patterns which sometimes deviate from existing norms

CONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL CONSOLIDATION OF NATIONAL OBJECTIVES AND PRIORITIES IN THE SOCIAL POLICY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The purpose of the study is to identify the interdependency between the constitutional reform and changes in social institutions and to propose directions for the development of new constitutional provisions in the legislation of the Russian Federation. Materials and methods. The methodological instrumentarium is chosen taking into account the specific goals of the work. The dialectical-materialistic method of cognition made it possible to study the subject in development, in interrelation of all its individual manifestations and in interaction with related phenomena, to substantiate the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches to solving this issue. The methods of formal logic: description, comparison, analysis and synthesis made it possible to reveal and characterize in detail the legal, moral, ethical and other aspects of constitutional and legal transformations. The use of specific scientific methods of cognition: comparative legal, formal legal, statistical, structural and functional – made it possible to explore the problem under consideration in interrelations and interdependence, to identify certain trends, to make generalizations and conclusions. Study results. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the need to legally consolidate traditional Russian values and worldview guidelines, to preserve and pass the Russian civilizational code for future generations in conditions of a changing world order and defending the idea of a multipolar world. The Constitution of the Russian Federation, as amended in 2020, became the result of transformations in social institutions and the program for the development of the Russian society and the state for the future. The constitutional doctrine is evaluated in retrospect, the prerequisites for the 2020 constitutional reform are assessed, and its first results are analyzed. New constitutional and legal norms and their development in the legislation of the Russian Federation are analyzed, comparative legal characteristics of individual constitutional and legal novelties are given, and their importance in the system of constitutional and legal regulation of public relations is substantiated. Conclusions. The author comes to the conclusion about the public demand for the constitutional consolidation of institutional changes that have taken place and consolidated in the Russian society in the last three decades of constitutional development.

PurposeThe authors enrich and extend the existing institutional anomie theory (IAT) in the hope of sharpening the understanding of the joint effects of selected cultural values and social institutional changes on women's pre-entrant entrepreneurial attempts. The authors theorize that women are culturally discouraged to pursue pre-entrant entrepreneurial attempts or wealth accumulation in a specific culture. This discouragement creates an anomic strain that motivates women to deviate from cultural prescriptions by engaging in pre-entrant entrepreneurial attempts at a faster speed. Building on this premise, the authors hypothesize that changes in social institutions facilitate the means of achievement for women due to the potential opportunities inherent in such institutional changes.Design/methodology/approachUsing a randomly selected sample of 1,431 registered active individual users with a minimum of 10,000 followers on a leading entertainment live-streaming platform in the People's Republic of China, the authors examined a unique mix of cultural and institutional changes and their effects on the speed of women's engagement in live-streaming platform activity.FindingsThe authors find support for the impact of the interaction between changes in social institution conditions and cultural values. Unexpectedly, the authors also find a negative impact of cultural values on women's speed of engaging in pre-entrant entrepreneurial attempts.Originality/valueThe authors add institutional change to the IAT framework and provide a novel account for the variation in the pre-entrant entrepreneurial attempts by women on the platform.

Manajemen Pendidikan Perempuan Pada Masa Sultan Syarif Kasim II di Kesultanan Siak Sri Indrapura Tahun 1927-1945

This research is motivated by the researcher's interest in the development of women's education in the Siak Sultanate, to be precise, during the reign of Sultan Syarif Kasim II. The main problem studied in this research is how to manage women's education to the realization of educational outcomes in women's schools formed by Sultan Syarif Kasim II in 1927-1945. In general, this study aims to describe the pattern of women's education formed by Sultan Syarif Kasim II and his consort in the Siak Sultanate. This study was studied by applying historical methods, including four steps, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the research findings, the pattern of women's education in Siak Sri Indrapura was formed directly by the sultanate including the formation of the curriculum, procurement of teachers and students and the facilities provided. Although both were managed by the sultanate, there were different styles of teaching between the two women's schools founded by Sultan Syarif Kasim II, namely Sultanah Latifah School which focused more on teaching hand skills and homemaking, and Madrasa Annisa which taught more Islamic religious knowledge. The results of the education of the two girls' schools gave birth to women who were prosperous in terms of changes in social institutions, which succeeded in becoming a weaver, educator, and preacher. Thus the management of education formed by Sultan Syarif Kasim II succeeded in contributing greatly to the welfare of women's education in the Sultanate of Siak Sri Indrapura

Invigorating Interfaith Consciousness for the Common Good: Reimagining the Role of African Religion and Pentecostalism in Contemporary South Africa

Contemporary South Africa reflects complex, diverse, and evolving religious realities. Changes continue to manifest at the confluence of encounters between various religions and rapid changes in social institutions that affect, in one way or another, various religions in the nation. These realities are typically embedded in sociocultural contexts and give clarity and meaning to religious experiences. In the post-apartheid era, the spirit of openness toward religious tolerance often dwindles when it comes to interactions between African religion and Pentecostalism. When people understand why followers of other religions believe and practice their rituals and sacraments, this knowledge may help dispel mis- and disinformation and thereby construct inter-religious common ground. Using an extensive review of the relevant literature, this article investigates some of the factors that may limit harmony between African religion and Pentecostalism in South Africa. After providing some definitions and historical context, we discuss the power and legacy of anti-apartheid interfaith solidarity. We also explore ongoing factors hindering interfaith engagements between African religion and Pentecostalism in South Africa. We then explore opportunities for interfaith dialogue in South Africa. Utilizing Walter Hollenweger’s Pentecostal intercultural theology, we argue that expressive liturgy for biodiversity and sustainability, communal participation for reconciliation, and experiential spirituality focused on land care could provide a potential ‘fourth’ approach to interfaith dialogue for African religion and Pentecostalism in South Africa. This includes underappreciated albeit profitable interrelationships between Indigenous knowledge, traditional spirituality, and sustainable development. We also acknowledge some limitations and opportunities for future research. Finally, we offer a succinct concluding synthesis that recapitulates the paper’s main points. This article aims to invigorate interfaith consciousness through meaningful thematization of pertinent issues, including the articulation and application of relevant intercultural theology.

Psychological and pedagogical understanding of the reform and development of higher education

Introduction. The article substantiates the idea of a psychological and pedagogical understanding of the reform and development of higher education, and departure from the Bologna Process. The international project «Fundamental University Education» put forward by Russia is revealed.Purpose setting. Understanding the logic and methodology of education as a social institution that performs the function of including an individual in the culture of a given society and introducing him to it, allows us to comprehend and get closer to understanding training and education as a process of transforming external knowledge into internal, spiritual, forming and shaping a person.Methods and methodology of the study. In accordance with the objectives of the study, the following general scientific methods were used: theoretical analysis of the literature, longitudinal and cross-sectional experimental research, verification, modeling, and qualitative analysis of the reforming.Results. In Russia the educational space is formed under the influence of processes associated with the development of information transformations in all spheres of life. Therefore, informatization becomes one of the factors causing significant changes in social institutions, in particular in the educational system. In the framework of higher education in personnel training, priority should be given to the creation of the foundation of the system and structure of education, the priority of which is methodologically important long-lived and invariant knowledge that contributes to a holistic perception of the scientific picture of the world, the intellectual flourishing of the individual and its adaptation to rapidly changing conditions.Conclusion. In the development of the Russian society, the strategy of civilizational development is changing, there is a search for new values. We believed and continue to believe that it is inappropriate to abandon the Russian levels of training of professional personnel. The absence of the most important stage, the training of specialists, has caused significant harm to our youth in finding employment, because graduates of bachelor’s and master’s degree do not have a specialty, but only higher education in a certain area, which does not make it possible to professionally perform work. The departure from the Bologna System will allow us to return to the best Russian traditions aimed at the development of all levels of education.

Essay on Sociocultural Analysis of Cinema: “Assassination Nation” by Sam Levinson

Cinema is an open self-referential system that is capable of influencing society through film images, changing the position of viewers on certain issues. Thereby, socio-cultural analysis of a film “Assassination Nation” by S. Levinson (2018) is topical. This film was chosen for analysis because it claimed to be an up-to-date artistic reflection of cultural, informational and political events that had taken place in the recent past in Europe and America. Hypothesis of the study of this film is that the director Sam Levinson, using manipulative means of film language, inspires the audience as a society for a positive perception of marginal and deviant images, which can create the prerequisites for real deviant behavior. The author undertook a comprehensive analysis of the film images in order to identify the propagated ideas of neoliberalism and deviance. The analysis of the film was carried out using a systematic approach to cultural phenomena and using quantitative and qualifying methods of cultural studies and sociology. The methods in use elicited main themes and microthemes. These are the themes of private life freedom, dangers of data alongside the Internet, inability of women, transgender people and gays to fight legally for their rights, social cruelty of the crowd. Research hypothesis is confirmed. The director of the film choses delinquent methods of solution of social problems, using manipulation of the audience and propaganda of delinquent behavior. In this case, the filmmakers use methods to promote marginal behavior related to the current political agenda. This connection reveals a more global connection between the film industry and changes in social institutions. The results of the study can be practically used within the framework of special courses in cultural studies and media criticism.

Female imagery in mass culture at the beginning of the 20th century and its representation in literature, media, posters, and cinema

The turn of the 19th – 20th centuries is considered to be the beginning of the formation of the phenomenon that will be called "mass culture". The general crisis, population migration, the collapse of the aristocracy and common attitudes and values of Orthodoxy led to a radical change in social institutions, social strata and customary classes. Industrialization led to a reduction in working hours, manual labor began to be replaced by machine labor; therefore, a clear boundary arose between the two spheres of life of the urban working mass, i.e. work and leisure. In a traditional society, free time was spent with family, professional community, or neighbors - one way or another, in a team. In the divided and variegated mass of the city, people found themselves on their own. The leisure of the atomized mass subjects demanded satisfaction of the need to rest, to escape from the stupefying, "alienated", monotonous labor. The response to this need is the entertainment industry of mass culture, whose values are in the form of a commodity. There is a huge, massive demand for products and services that meet the needs of leisure: books, magazines, records, films. The article shows that mass culture at the average level consolidates the popular stereotypes of female images in the mass consciousness in accordance with their functional purpose. Positive female images of mothers (traditional type) and sisters of mercy (high incarnation of the fatal type) dominate in social advertising appealing to universal values and spirituality. Commercial advertisements that appeal to seduction and recognition represent an idealized femme fatale. The art of cinematography addresses deeply rooted motives of fall and rise, physical desecration and moral cleansing (the dominant type of the fatal heroine). The material of the article can be useful in the preparation of courses on the history of Russian culture and history of art.

ЕВОЛЮЦІЯ ТА ТРАНСФОРМАЦІЯ ПРАВ ВЛАСНОСТІ В КОНТЕКСТІ ДОСЛІДЖЕНЬ ІСТОРІЇ ЕКОНОМІЧНОЇ ДУМКИ

In the study of market relations, the concept of "property rights" should be considered as an important precondition for economic development. The most controversial issue in the institutional research development is to determine the patterns of interaction between the economic and legal systems, particularly, in the context of the formation and development of the property rights as a set of economic, social, legal relations between members of society that give people usefulness or pleasure. The theoretical framework for the formation of the institutional concept of the property rights is based on the socio-legal direction of American institutionalism and the Anglo-Saxon legal system. For the first time, American institutionalism paid attention to the economic aspects of the ownership transference of goods and services (market transactions) and the Anglo-Saxon law has studied the impact of the various forms of ownership on economic relations, in particular, in the structure of formation of transaction costs associated with market operations. The theory of transaction costs has become the basis for the development of three areas of "neo-institutional" research on property rights: the first is the economics of law (theory of property rights), the second is the institutional theory of the state and the third is new economic history. The understanding of property rights is based on the following that property rights can be established to any rare tangible and intangible objects, even personal human rights. Moreover, the basis of the economic activity is the exchange of the property rights, market operations transactions. And the use of market mechanism for the exchanging of goods is followed by transaction costs. The market transactions costs determine the composition, structure and dynamics of changes in social institutions of society. And property rights have a significant impact on the behavior of property relations participants and encourage people to adhere to certain forms of behavior and cause them to avert other forms of activity. Compliance and violation of the rules established by the property rights is an act of a rational economic choice.

There is no point in talking about the loss of socialism. The ideas of socialism, taking into account the mistakes made earlier, will regain state power in the near future. The victory of liberal capitalism, which gave rise to bold expectations about the «end of history» led the world not to prosperity, but to a sharp aggravation of all existing contradictions and to the understanding that capitalism, like socialism before it, has exhausted all its development resources and can no longer offer anything new. Co-existing with socialism, capitalism has undergone significant changes and, forced to be influenced by «left-wing» ideas, has been strongly transformed in order to survive in the competitive struggle. In our country, «left-wing» ideas are subjected to unfair criticism and therefore their influence on the development of public relations is not studied. To avoid mistakes in the future development of the country, it is necessary to study the impact of these ideas, because they have an impact.

Impact of COVID-19 and Related Forced Digitalization Processes on the Competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions and Organizations

Research background: One of the areas that has undergone major changes in the processes of its activities and has had a strong impact on the change in social institutions is the field of education. The sharp transition to distance education and a number of technical, informational and human problems led to a significant complication of educational and other processes (scientific, innovative, entrepreneurial, etc.). Purpose of the article: The article raises the problem of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on global social and public institutions. The purpose of the article is to identify the factors of ensuring the competitiveness of universities, as the least protected by state support, in the context of forced digitalization against the background of the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The paper uses mechanisms for assessing the competitiveness of universities in the new reality of the pandemic and its consequences, implemented on the basis of a modified McKinsey matrix and matrix algorithms for evaluating priority vectors. Findings & Value added: The analysis showed that the universities that have the greatest independence in the system face the greatest difficulties in carrying out their activities in the context of a pandemic. As scientific growth can be considered, the results of the analysis of the transition to distance learning processes that have combined higher education systems in different countries, and if earlier most universities competed at the regional or country level, now they are forced to enter into global competition with foreign universities.

Social institution changes and their ecological impacts in Kazakhstan over the past hundred years

Over the past 100 years, the social system, agricultural production modes, lifestyles, and ecological conditions in Kazakhstan have changed dramatically. Understanding how social institution changes altered the land use patterns and the ecosystem processes in Kazakhstan can provide important knowledge for the sustainable ecological management of semi-arid regions. By summarizing the documented research on major social institution reforms, this study investigated land use changes in response to social system changes and analyzed the impacts of agricultural and animal husbandry development on ecological degradation. Three important characteristics of social-ecological system changes were found in this study. First, population migration, land policy changes, and social system reform were the major driving factors of ecological degradation, especially within the periods of Russian emigration in the early 20th century, the Virgin Lands Campaign, and the collapse of the Soviet Union. Second, changes in land use patterns caused by changes in social systems have led to a series of ecological degradation, especially the policy of collective management and regional intensive grazing. Land experiencing reclamation-abandonment-reclamation turbulence developed in a vicious cycle and eventually became a high-risk area of ecological degradation. Third, Kazakhstan experienced a long-term cultivated land expansion, occupying high-quality grassland and pastoral areas, which moved animal husbandry production to desert vegetation areas. The agro-pastoral transition zone in Kazakhstan was the mostly affected area by land use changes due to the social institutional changes and special attention is urgently needed to reduce land degradation and desertification.

The article is a brief excursion into the history of large-scale epidemics known to mankind. Comparison of similar situations in different historical eras. The results of the comparative analysis make it possible to assert that development of illness is possible only in a highly globalized world. The second general conclusion is a decrease of productive forces and a certain state of human capital. These factors negatively affect the economy, increasing the value of individual workers and their ability to tradition. However, when projecting this pattern into the current situation, a significant difference is noticeable. In addition, the factor of decline in production is due to the high degree of mechanization of labor. As a result, it is possible to predict the reverse previous epidemic impact — the value of an individual worker will decrease directly proportionally in the economy. The third overall impact is due to a change in social institutions — the most effective solutions come usual. Thus, the transformation is economically viable, and the economic system is being transformed during the Justinian plague. Thus, it can be expected that in the near future a high level of unemployment and the alienation of a number of value factors will be ensured.

Based on preliminary observations of this LPG conversion program apparently was sudden and unplanned comprehensively. Framework will be operationalized concept refers to the opinion Selo Soemardjan and Bertrand which state that social change affects the social system, where the elements of the social system, namely beliefs, feelings and thoughts, goals, rules / norms, status/ role and facilities. Qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive design format, which aims to describe, to tell a variety of conditions, situations and phenomena of social realities that exist in society. Sampled data were collected through interviews with informants as many as 14 people. From the research results can be concluded that the kerosene to LPG in the Village of West Tanjungpinang has given the change to more efficient public spending among others so survival is more assured, the pattern of behavior among members of the public is more awake, environmental sustainability is maintained by the reduction of air pollution so as to create of a society that is more practical, efficient and effective
