A method for the adjustment of a wide-angle catadioptric collimating objective for the infrared spectral range with an eccentric pupil designed according to the Cassegrain scheme with a prefocal lens compensator is proposed. The approach combines interference methods for determining the position of the axis of the aspherical main mirror and the position of the secondary mirror with an autocollimating method for the centering of the compensator lenses. All the adjustment procedures are performed in a standard objective housing without reference to the geometric bases of the optical elements. An analysis of the adjustment errors and the testing results of the manufactured objective are presented.
