Use of e-Wallets and Their Impact on SME Business Transactions

Currently, worldwide there is an accelerated digital transformation, which will continue in time with the same trend, becoming an everyday part of human life. The appearance of covid-19 has had a strong impact on several aspects of life, especially in the way of acquiring products and/or services, which, due to the fear of receiving money from a person infected with the virus, led people to look for other options to carry out their economic transactions without physical contact, such as the use of electronic wallets. However, many entrepreneurs still do not use this type of technology in their businesses. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the use of electronic wallets in the commercial transactions of SMEs. To this end, we worked with entrepreneurs in the town of Otuzco in the La Libertad Region of Peru. It was observed that they only carried out transactions using the cash collection and payment method and did not use technological tools such as electronic wallets. This is applied research with a quasi-experimental design, cross-sectional and quantitative approach, with a sample of 88 SMEs divided into a control group (23 SMEs) and an experimental group (65 SMEs). The survey was used as a data collection technique, and a program was developed to promote the use of electronic wallets in the entrepreneurs of the city of Otuzco, obtaining as a result a positive impact on the commercial transactions of these SMEs. The results show that 96% of the merchants were reluctant to use electronic wallets for fear of being affected by computer crimes. After the training, 98% of the merchants monitored recognized the importance of their use in their regular commercial transactions. In conclusion, it was found that training on the use of electronic wallets and continuous monitoring have a positive impact on the level of commercial transactions, boosting the competitiveness of businesses by increasing sales, streamlining operations, and reducing financial costs. The research is of interest because it shows the importance of disseminating programs in the use of technological tools such as digital wallets in small businesses to achieve a positive impact on the improvement of their economic activities.

Evaluating the Effect of Cash Management and Profitability on Private Schools in Ntungamo District from the Lens of Parents Care Primary School, Uganda

The study explores the cash management and profitability of private schools in the Nntungamo district from the lens of Parents Care Primary School. A descriptive study design was adopted, and data were obtained using questionnaires and interviews. Findings revealed that given the size and complexity of the organization and the partnership as a whole, business without cash management is a serious threat. It is on this note that this article calls for an effective management of cash. Thus, the organization has to put into place controls to ensure that cash is safe. The school should encourage parents to even pay during holidays as a way of boasting the school collections which in turn will enable allocations to be made in the due time. More so, the school needs to invest money in projects that are beneficial to the school. The school should use more of the accrual basis of cash outflow than the cash basis to maintain the school liquidity at an optimal level. Finally, the relationship between cash management and profitability should be monitored all the time. This should be done through cash planning, cash collection, cash allocation, and cash budgeting. An Analysis of Cash Management with Reference to Deccan Industries

Cash management refers to a broad area of finance involving the collection, handling, and usage of cash. It involves assessing market liquidity, cash flow, and investments. In banking, cash management, or treasury management, is a marketing term for certain services related to cash flow offered primarily to larger business customers. It may be used to describe all bank accounts (such as checking accounts) provided to businesses of a certain size, but it is more often used to describe specific services such as cash concentration, zero balance accounting, and automated clearing house facilities. Sometimes, private banking customers are given cash management services. Financial instruments involved in cash management include money market funds, treasury bills, and certificates. Cash management essentially means dealing with an organization's cash so its use provides the most value to the business. This can mean planning to keep the right amount of cash on hand as well as making plans for the cash the company does not need to have available for business operations. Cash managers plan for, protect, and invest cash assets. Basic parts of planning for efficient cash management include knowing how much cash should be on hand, efficiently handling cash transactions, and investing any surplus cash in securities that will grow the value of the company's money.

Practical Aspects of Hotel and Restaurant Business Development in Ukraine Based on the Use of the jSolutions Restaurant Module

The article conducts a practical study of the aspects of the development of the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine and reviews the jSolutions module «Restaurant». Its functionality, main characteristics and advantages in comparison with other software solutions for the restaurant business (RB) are described. The main aspects of the dynamics of development of the RB are allocated, which includes: introduction of POS-systems; online ordering and delivery; use of CRM systems; analytics and Big Data; social media and digital marketing; virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), kitchen automation and inventory, cybersecurity. A list of functions provided by the jSolutions module «Restaurant» is provided. It is noted that the module consists of two parts: BACK OFFICE and FRONT OFFICE. BACK OFFICE allows users to create calculation cards, create menus, set up outlets for implementation in FRONT OFFICE, works with invoices and orders. It is also possible to set up a discount or bonus system for visitors to the establishment. Users of FRONT OFFICE are bartenders, cashiers or administrators who work in TouchScreen mode, taking orders from visitors, creating invoices and settling customers. The module includes 4 TouchScreen modes, each of which is designed for different aspects of work, namely: automation of the cook’s workplace (the cook can mark the preparation of each dish to order, which helps to optimize the process of work in the kitchen and ensures timely processing of orders); TouchScreen self-service (the interface allows users to independently create orders from the menu without the help of a waiter, cashier or administrator); Cashier’s TouchScreen (the interface allows the bartender, cashier or administrator to create a customer account and make payments on this account); Waiter’s TouchScreen (the interface is used to record food orders and their delivery). Such additional unique functions of the jSolutions «Restaurant» module as «Cash Collection», «Cancellation of Bills», «Table Reservation», «WEB-Interface for Ordering Meals» (the functionality is intended for registration in the database of food orders in places where the desktop version of jCatering is not installed), «Mobile version of the waiter’s workplace», etc. Attention is focused on the fact that IT significantly affects the increase in restaurant revenues due to the optimization of operations, improvement of the quality of service, effective marketing and expansion of sales channels. Investing in modern IT solutions will help restaurants stay competitive, improve operational efficiency, and ensure sustainable revenue growth.

The improvement of accounting and documentation of the goods sale through electronic settlement methods

The domestic commercial entities use as an alternative settlement method: payment services offered by e-money companies. This article is intended for both theoreticians and practising accountants, since, in addition to developing the existing theoretical basis, the aim is to identify relevant solutions for solving problematic accounting issues related to the documentation of the use of local payment services. Technological progress does not stand still, and in the last decade, so-called companies issuing electronic money have started to appear on the local trade market of the Republic of Moldova. The importance of the topic requires research into the practical application and accounting of transactions related to the use of payment services offered by e-money companies. The applied research methodology involves both general and specific approaches such as: analytical method, web-graphical analysis, synthesis method, comparison method, systemic method and other relevant research methods. Therefore, in the following, an attempt will be made to identify the correct way of documenting the cash collection process by applying domestic payment services.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of operations and operating expenses on net income. The data in this study uses secondary data. The method used is literature review. The resulting revenue can be recognized at the time of production progress, production completion, marketing, or at the time of cash collection. Although both of these criteria must be met, the weight of importance for each condition can be different. At the time of marketing, revenue recognition is perfect for recognizing revenue because the characteristics acquired and realized have been fulfilled.

Evaluation Of Standard Operational Procedure For Receivable Collection Of PT. XYZ

The aim of this research is to evaluate the implementation of Standard Operational Procedures for Receivables Collection at PT. XYZ and knowing the obstacles and delivering. solutions and suggestions for PT. XYS receivable collection procedures. The research method uses qualitative descriptive analysis supported by data collection from observation, documentation and interviews. Meanwhile, the data analysis method used is the Champion method. The results of Champion's research stated that the Standard Operating Procedures were declared effective by the billing department with a percentage of 91.67%. However, there are still obstacles in the receivables collection process, namely the cash collection process carried out by the collector team is not completed. For this reason, the author advises companies to consider adding collector staff and collaborating with cash payment outlets.

Effects Of Financial Management Practices On The Operational Performance Of The Ghana Police Force

The study was to establish the effect of the financial management practices on the operational performance of the Ghana Police force in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The study used a descriptive survey design of the quantitative approach. It targeted staff of Ghana Police Service in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The study employed census and questionnaire was employed to gather data from them. The questionnaire was analysed descriptively using frequencies and percentages with the aid of Statistical Package for Service Solution version 26. The study found that effective financial management practices have assisted in reducing, crime apprehension and prosecution, crime rate, crime detection and prevention, protection of life and property, as well as peace and tranquility. Factors that hinder the effective financial management practices in the Ghana Police force included; political changes/interference, timeliness of resources and finance, problems of accountability and transparency, and problems of bureaucracy and inefficiency. Therefore, the study recommended that the Ghana Police Service should ensure that liquidity policy is reviewed periodically. Also, the Ghana Police Service should strengthen the system of supervision for cash collection and disbursement. Moreover, the Ghana Police Service should ensure that there is analysis of performance and plans are compared to actual plans with budget. Furthermore, the Ministry of finance in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service should release resources and finance on time. Lastly, the Ghana Police Service should ensure that there is accountability and transparency as well as reducing the bureaucracy and inefficiency

PENGARUH PERPUTARAN KAS, PERPUTARAN PIUTANG DAN SOLVABILITAS TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PT. ACE HARDWARE INDONESIA TBK TAHUN 2012-2021

This study aims to determine the effect of cash collection and turnover on profitability at PT. ACE Hardware Indonesia Tbk. Method used in this study. This research was conducted using processed data. The population of this study is the annual financial statements of PT. ACE hardware Indonesia Tbk Year 2012-2021. The sampling method uses Purposive Sampling technique. The research method used in this study is the multiple linear regression method, which consists of several submissions, namely descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, partial tests, simultaneous tests, and coefficients of determination. The results of this study show that the results of the partial test of cash turnover have a positive and significant effect on Return On Assets with significance (0.02 < 0.05), Receivables turnover does not have a significant effect on Return On Assets with significance (0.470 > 0.05), while Debt To Equity has a negative and significant effect on Return On Assets with significance (0.002 < 0.05). The results of the simultaneous test of cash collection, receivables and Debt To Equity simultaneously affect perofitability. The results of the statistical F test study amounted to (0.002 < 0.05) which means that there is a significant influence simultaneously between the independent variable and the dependent variable. This shows that cash turnover, receivables turnover and debt to equity are so important in relation and influence on profits, because the success of a company in generating profits is obtained from cash and receivables that are well managed and efficient.

Cash Waqf in Poverty Reduction in India: Lessons from Selected Countries

Cash Waqf revived in Muslim countries allows them to develop this system of charity further. However, Waqf has abundant financial and infrastructure resources in India, which can significantly reduce poverty, particularly among Muslims. Poverty is more prevalent among Muslims in India than in any other community. This library-based research aims to examine how faith-based endowments can reduce poverty in India through cash waqf. This study applies the content analysis of the existing cash waqf models, which examines current Waqf practices for their relationship to India's socio-economic situation. It helps to understand the adoption of cash waqf in India. The paper implemented the waqf shares scheme based on existing literature. Several important reasons make this scheme appropriate for India. First, raising funds from the public is a relatively straightforward process in India by using traditional ways of collecting money, such as cash collections or mobile payment systems that are widely used for raising money. Several poor Indians could benefit from the funds generated by creating employment opportunities and gaining financial, social, and educational empowerment.

The Effects of Social Distancing Measures on COVID-19 Spreads in European Countries

Abstract This study investigates the effects of social distancing measures on various types of social mobility, using country- and day-fixed effects on a panel of daily data comprising 29 European countries. Although social distancing measures proved to be significant for all types of mobility in the examined period, they are best captured by retail and recreation mobility. Linear effects of restrictive measures on COVID-19 cases and deaths are examined by OLS regression with country- and day-fixed effects on a panel of 29 European countries, while non-linear effects were investigated by quantile regressions. Stricter mobility restrictions significantly reduced COVID-19 cases and deaths, but the variant of the virus was also an important determinant. Although the Delta variant was much more infectious, its mortality reduced. However, the impact of social distancing measures on COVID-19 cases and deaths was not constant but strengthened with increasing quantiles of the distribution of cases and deaths, suggesting that an early response from policy-makers was very important. Vaccination brought benefits for both cases and deaths, but a particularly beneficial effect can be seen on COVID-19 deaths. The vaccination benefits grew with the share of the vaccinated population. Distrust in public institutions proved to have a negative impact on both COVID-19 cases and deaths. The inclusion of a set of control variables (health, economic, social and demographic) revealed that country characteristics such as cardiovascular mortality, the share of male smokers, economic development, the proportion of the population living in extreme poverty, population density, the quality of education or the share of rural population were important determinants of COVID-19 spreads. The analysis of the linear and nonlinear effects of the stringency of measures on various categories of sales according to the digital cash collection system (eKasa) in Slovakia revealed that sales in essential sectors for consumers, such as retail and grocery stores, were relatively resistant to tightening measures, while sectors that are less essential for consumers were more sensitive to social distancing measures.

Working Capital Needs Assessment due to Business Seasonality in the Logistics Company

The growth of the company's business is generally followed by an increase in the company's revenue. However, to achieve revenue, the company require capital to finance the cost of goods sold, salary expenses, and other expenses before the sales happened. The cost of capital is generally the cost that the company first incurs compared to revenue or cash collection. The impact of costs must be paid in advance or early, while on the other hand cash collection from a customer is received later. If this situation continues over a long period and a bigger amount over time, this condition will make the company hampered to maximize the revenue due to the lack of cash. In this analysis using an international forwarding company in the export and import logistics industry, this company is still small and medium and has limited capital. In the last 5 years, the company has continued to experience an increase in sales from year to year, but due to limited capital, the company cannot fulfil all requests from customers due to maximizing the revenue because of the high cost of goods sold that should be paid first or early. In addition, in this industry, the profits that are generated by companies are tight, so companies tend to avoid bank loans in funding their operational activities. In the operational activities of this company, there is also a difference in the timing of receiving money from customers, which tends to be longer than the difference in payment times. The impact is that even though the company appears to have high liquidity, the company still cannot accept all customer requests because the company's assets are receivables. This is also exacerbated because the logistics business has seasonal sales that depend on global economic activity. In a high sales season, the company tends to have no cash, while in a low sales season, the company has a lot of cash but is not productive. Furthermore, if the company decided to invest the money for expansion, currently the company did not have any calculation of cash required to take all potential revenue in the future.

The Systematic Literature Review: An overview on Working Capital Management and Profitability

This systematic review examines the relationship between working capital management (WCM) and profitability, with a focus on the impact of cash conversion cycle (CCC) on profitability. Out of the 53 independent studies analyzed, only those that used CCC as a measure for WCM were selected for analysis. The review found that efficient WCM, specifically the optimal level of CCC, has a significant impact on profitability. Firms should review their receivables and payable policy to maintain market value, shareholders' wealth, and minimize the risk of bankruptcy. Accelerating cash collections through proper management, effective policies, and corporate strategies also improves profitability. The study highlights CCC as a powerful tool for firms to manage their working capital efficiently. The review suggests that firms should maintain an optimal CCC level and effective management practices to improve WCM and profitability. Further research using qualitative research methods is needed to gain a deeper understanding of WCM practices.

Main directions of cash flow improvement in Ukraine (with taking into account foreign experience)

Introduction. The main problems of cashless circulation in Ukraine are the problems of replacing or withdrawing some monetary marks from it and moving to a new (delegated) model of its organization. In solving these problems, the key role belongs to the National Bank of Ukraine. When deciding them, it is important that all participants in monetary circulation rely on foreign experience and existing scientific developments. The purpose of the paper is to study the current state of cashless circulation of Ukraine, identify the most significant problems and determine specific measures to improve cash payments and transition to the modern model of its organization. Results. The paper analyzes the main reasons for the replacement or withdrawal of cash: devaluation of the national currency; change in the scale of prices, which causes the denomination of the currency; the need to optimize the banknote-coin range of the national currency, as well as the structure of cash in circulation; economic expediency of issuing coins instead of banknotes of small denominations; insufficient protection of monetary marks from forgery; physical wear and damage to banknotes; orientation of financiers to large-scale banknotes; the risk of viral infection of people through cash; expansion of electronic money; transition to the use of plastic money; withdrawal from circulation of the Russian ruble in the territories occupied by Russia. In the modern period, in many countries, including Ukraine, it is necessary to switch from a partially controlled model of organization of cash flow to a delegated model. The essence of this model is that the central bank transfers on the terms of outsourcing some of the functions that it currently performs in the regions, other market participants – banks and companies Cash-in-Transit (SIT-companies). Conclusion. To improve cash flow in Ukraine, first of all, it is necessary to adhere to the inflation target of up to 5 %, consider the possibility of hryvnia denomination, complete the ordering of its banknote and coin series, and increase the security of large denomination banknotes. And the introduction of the delegated cash flow model should contribute not only to reducing costs for it, but also to the development of a competitive market for cash collection services.

ANALISIS THEORY ACCEPTANCE MODEL TERHADAP SISTEM INFORMASI AKUNTANSI BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN FRAMEWORK LARAVEL (Studi Kasus: CV Duta Square Bandar Lampung)

Accounting Information System is a Management Information System tool that provides accounting and financial information and other information obtained from routine processing of accounting transactions. The Accounting Information System tracks a large amount of information regarding sales orders, sales in units and currencies, cash collection, purchase orders, receipt of goods, payments, and salaries. Accounting Information Systems can be specifically designed for each organization, both commercial and non-commercial organizations. In this research the method used is the Scrum method, Scrum is a framework used to manage complex product development, which can use a variety of processes and techniques in it. Scrum has been used to develop software, hardware, integrated software and applications in interacting networks. The purpose of this research is to build and implement an Accounting Information System that fits the accounting cycle to provide financial reports in CV Duta Square. Accounting Information System at CV Duta Square Bandar Lampunng has been developed by providing several features, while those features are account data management, determining the reporting period, making general journals along with general journal details, posting to ledgers, and presenting financial reports.

Cash management strategies and firm financial performance

Cash(liquidity) management is at the heart of a firm’s financial management. It is a silver lining between the bankruptcy and the success story of a company. Therefore, this study intends to contribute some insights into cash management practices and how firms can use them to achieve sound financial performance. This study provides a comprehensive literature review on existing theories and cash management practices that are useful in decision making. After the analysis of the available literature, the study highlights important theories including trade-off theory (TOT), transaction model, precautionary measures, financial hierarchy, and cash flow theory. Furthermore, management practices such as stochastic cash management model, speeding up cash collections, centralization & decentralization of management, asset portfolio diversification, and cash disbursement are discussed. The study suggests that a sound financial performance can be achieved through a hybrid approach and through adaptation and embracing innovations in cash management systems.

Cash Collection Model of Electric Power Business Office Based on Computer Algorithm

With the continuous development of intelligent algorithms, mobile robot (hereinafter referred to as MR) technology is gradually mature, which has been widely used in a variety of industries, such as industry, agriculture, medical treatment, service and so on. With the improvement of intelligent level, people have higher and higher requirements for MRs, which requires MRs to constantly adapt to different environments, especially dynamic environments. In the dynamic environment, obstacle avoidance technology has become the focus of intelligent robot research, which needs to continuously develop a variety of algorithms. By combining a variety of algorithms, we can realize obstacle avoidance and PP (hereinafter referred to as PP) of MR, which can realize obstacle avoidance more efficiently, in real time and intelligently. Multi algorithm fusion of MR has become the main trend of obstacle avoidance in the future, which will realize PP and optimization. Firstly, this paper analyzes the differences between traditional algorithms and intelligent algorithms. Then, the kinematics model and PP algorithm of MR are analyzed. Finally, the simulation is carried out.

The Discount Rate Used in the Current Expected Credit Loss Standard Creates Accounting Losses Where There Are No Economic Losses

The Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) standard that goes into effect for major banks in 2020 contains a serious conceptual error. Using the contractual rate rather than the hurdle rate (the competitive rate on a loan for which there is no expected loss) as the rate to discount expected cash collections gives rise to accounting losses where no economic losses exist. This can have a profound effect on required capital and hence lending, especially in economically depressed episodes.

Improving the efficiency of cash collection operations with the help of modern information technologies

Despite the steady spread of non-cash payment technologies, especially now in the pandemic, cash remains the most common method of payment in all countries.
 The availability of cash in banking institutions, cash centers, ATMs, various self-service devices is provided by the units of collection and transportation of currency values.
 Collection of funds and transportation of currency values ​​is an integral part of the cash circulation of any banking system, which consists in the collection, delivery and movement of cash by vehicles, from enterprises, institutions, organizations of various forms of ownership to banking institutions and vice versa.
 The cost of conducting cash collection, supporting cash registers, branches, and loading ATMs constitues a significant part of all operating expenses of banks and collection companies. Due to the high level of risk of attacks on the teams of collectors, the main task is to maintain an appropriate level of security to protect life and health of collectors, which requires significant financial costs. Business owners find a way out in the introduction of new innovative banking products and information technologies.
 The article examines the processes of cash collection operations by classical and electronic methods as well as modern innovative technologies for cash collection, cash processing, and protection of valuables. The results of scientific research show that the reduction of operating costs for cash collection increases the level of security, and optimization of cash processing is possible only with the active implementation and use of modern information technology and automated software.
 The article proves the need to improve the mechanism of state regulatory policy in the market of cash collection services in Ukraine, in particular, to amend the regulatory legal acts of the regulator, which is represented by the National Bank of Ukraine, in terms of refining and detailing legal norms that establish and determine the procedure operations on cash collection in electronic form and periodicity of collection units employees training.
