Analysis of Budget Planning and Control for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): A Case Study at Yayasan Kebudayaan Rancage

This study analyzes budget planning and control in a non-profit organization focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The main objective is understanding the budget implementation process supporting SDG objectives at Yayasan Kebudayaan Rancage (Rancage Cultural Foundation). Using a qualitative methodology with a single instrumental case study and action research methods, data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Narrative and comparative analysis methods were employed to evaluate the actual field conditions. The study results indicate that the foundation needs a structured budget. Based on these findings, developing a strategic plan, work plan, and detailed budget is recommended. These recommendations aim to create a more systematic budgeting process, enhance awareness, and improve engagement with the SDGs.

How Are The Science Process Skills of Prospective Science Teacher Students: Studies in Inorganic Chemistry and Gender

Prospective teacher students must be able to design practicums so that the learning process is meaningful. The skills that students develop in carrying out scientific discoveries, namely applying concepts, rules, and characteristics that exist in science, are called science process skills (SPS). Therefore, in building students' knowledge, students must have process skills in teaching so they can teach effectively and must have a good understanding of concepts and strong process skills. This research aims to describe the SPS of prospective science education teacher students through inorganic chemistry courses after going through learning with the discovery learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design one-shot case study research method. The research results show that student SPS as a whole is in the high category with an average percentage of 59.71%. SPS analysis in classes A, B, and C, respectively, has an average percentage of 58.23%, 62.66%, and 58.24% in the high category. SPS analysis based on gender shows that the respective percentage of male students is 53.89% with the medium category for women and 59.81% for the high category.

ParentaI anxiety about the career of a chiIdwith speciaI needs is an emotionaI reaction to an uncIear object because of feeIings of worry that make parents feeI that something bad wiII happen to the career of their chiId who is different from other normaI chiIdren, both physicaIIy and mentaIIy. MentaIIy, emotionaIIy and experience obstacIes in achieving optimaI deveIopment so that it can hinder the fuIfiIIment of nee parentaI anxiety, chiIdren with speciaI needs, future careerds aimed at changing tgeir chiId’s Iife situation for the better. This research aims to: (1) to understand the factors that cause parentaI anxiety about the career of chiIdren with speciaI needs. (2) to find out the roIe of parents in the future career of chiIdren with speciaI needs. (3) to find out parents’ strategies for reducing parentaI anxiety about their chiId's career with speciaI needs in the future using quaIitative case study research methods and data obtained using the resuIts of observations, interviews in the form of data that matches the facts in the fieId as appropriate.From this writing, resuIts were found, then presented in the form of a quaIitative case study using an information approach so that this research is caIIed descriptive anaIysis. Based on the resuIts of the anaIysis on the two respondents, not worrying too much about the future career of chiIdren with speciaI needs had a big impact on respondent 1, because according to him it is better to equip them to prepare for their future careers by aIways inviting their chiIdren to join in seIIing and teaching them how to seII, recap orders, how to can make a profit from seIIing. PIus, having support from those cIosest to you means that you don't have to worry too much about preparing your chiId's future career. And respondent 2 said that he feIt anxious about the work of chiIdren with speciaI needs because of the Iack of skiIIs and potentiaI that the chiId had, that anxiety that no pIace of work wiII accept him, his abiIity to think makes peopIe immediateIy reject him.

Communication Management Strategy in Implementing Recognition of Prior Learning to Enhance Village Officers' Competence in Indonesia

The State University of Surabaya (UNESA), the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, and the Bojonegoro Regency Government initiated an RPL program collaboration, offering opportunities to all village officials in Bojonegoro Regency who have not yet obtained a bachelor's degree to have their various experiences and work portfolios assessed against the learning outcomes of courses in higher education. This RPL program, specifically for village officials, is the first of its kind in Indonesia. So, it encourages researchers to use case study research methods. This research discusses the importance of communication management, as many actors and institutions within UNESA are responsible for implementing this RPL collaboration. The students from village officials studying at the undergraduate level in five study programs selected by UNESA. UNESA's communication management in managing RPL is evident in the inter-institutional communication content that regulates their respective duties and functions, so these institutions structurally have a coordinating function and are responsible to the Rector. The communication flow between institutions within UNESA is formally regulated, and its channels are written. Conversely, in the classroom between lecturers and RPL students, communication management is more equal in community service and joint research programs.

Exploring the Communication Impact of New Media Platforms Based on Pet-Based Short Videos

In recent years, pet short videos have attracted a large number of viewers as a popular topic, and as a result, have raised awareness of pets and stray animals. However, to shoot eye-catching video content, some creators abuse or abandon pets. These problems not only cause harm to the animals but also trigger a social crisis of trust, accompanied by ethical and legal issues. This paper explores the reasons for the popularity of pet-based short videos and the positive and negative impacts on the public and society of this issue. The study will adopt a case study research method to analyze the overall influence of pet bloggers by collecting relevant videos from short video platforms; meanwhile, popular videos and comments involving pet abuse and other incidents will be analyzed for content and public opinion. The final results of the study show that although pet short videos can effectively raise public concern about pets and stray animals, their negative ethical and social effects cannot be ignored, such as pet abuse and blind pet ownership, which hurt society. Future research should further focus on how to improve the ecology of short-form pet content thereby mitigating the negative social and animal impacts of pet-based short-form videos, thus enabling more positive impacts of video communication.

The Procedure of an International Student Studying Abroad: A Case Study

As it is examined and concluded by many researchers, studying abroad has been common when students are trying to receive higher quality education. Cross-cultural adjustment is also regarded as a compulsory term to consider, and the way to get involved in the host culture has also been deeply investigated in this procedure. Therefore, this paper aims at identifying the factors that cause cultural barriers, as well as finding solutions to cope with them. In this study, a case study research method is employed and the result will be beneficial to support future research in similar fields.

Character Education Practices At Al Azhar Islamic School Bumi Serpong Damai@Metland

Character education in schools is very necessary because character education is the core of education itself. Building character, it can't be done tomorrow. Therefore, character-based Character education in schools is very necessary, because character education is the main thing of education. This research was conducted to examine the practice of character education in schools. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of character education at Al Azhar BSD@Metland Islamic School in terms of 1) character education objectives; and 2) character education strategies. This research uses case study research method to answer these questions. The researcher acts as the main instrument and collects data by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research data came from the implementation of character education at Al Azhar BSD@Metland Islamic School. To ensure the legality of the data, this research applies triangulation of data sources, theories, and methodologies. The findings of this study imply that overall, the implementation of character education at Al Azhar BSD@Metland Islamic School has been carried out through habituation programs or routine activities applied by the school to its students, including character building activities in the form of teaching and learning activities carried out by educators with competencies in accordance with their fields and carried out regularly and on schedule. The policy implemented to fulfill this goal is to carry out 8 religious policies that have been effectively implemented at Al Azhar BSD@Metland Islamic School.

Exploring how museums can support science teacher leaders as boundary spanners

AbstractLocal implementation of science reform efforts in part relies on science teacher leaders (STLs) to improve science instruction in classrooms and beyond. The lack of science‐specific professional learning resources drives STLs to act as boundary spanners to locate resources outside their local context to fill that gap. Museums and other informal science education centers are examples of external entities that STLs might leverage to locate resources for local science education improvement. While we know how museums support pre‐ and in‐service science teachers, there is a gap in our understanding related to museum support for STLs. Here, we used case study research methods to analyze how a museum‐based professional learning programme supported STLs, as boundary spanners to access and adapt resources for local science education reform efforts. We found that each STL reported benefiting from shared resources from the museum, as well as from their peers in their working groups. We also found that STLs reported on different elements of the professional learning programme related to their area of influence (classroom or district) and the problem of practice their group worked on. We discuss how each of the named features of the museum‐based professional learning programme supported boundary spanning of STLs and end with implications and recommendations for the design of professional learning experiences to support their leadership work.

Investigating the Effectiveness of Endogenous and Exogenous Drivers of the Sustainability (Re)Orientation of Family SMEs in Slovenia: Qualitative Content Analysis Approach

Large proportions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are family controlled and play an important role not only in the development of many national economies, but also have great potential to reduce negative effects of human activities on the natural environment and society. This important role of family SMEs has been recognized by the European Union (EU) which has integrated them in its legislative frameworks. The main question addressed in our research is whether family SMEs integrate sustainability concerns into their strategic and operative decisions as required by the EU legislative frameworks. We designed our research with the purpose to broaden our understanding of sustainability (re)orientation of family SMEs and fill the gap in the existing literature on family businesses’ sustainability. We applied a qualitative case study research method where sustainability (re)orientation of 26 family SMEs was explored. The qualitative content analysis was used in the process of analysing data. Theoretically and empirically based cognitions on endogenous and exogenous drivers of the family businesses’ sustainability (re)orientation were applied in interpretation of the research results. Our findings show the low level of sustainability (re)orientation of most of the investigated Slovenian family SMEs. The exogenous drivers have stronger effect on sustainability (re)orientation of family SMEs than endogenous drivers.

Implementasi Cyber Public Relations Humas Pemerintah Kabupaten Sumedang melalui Media "WA KEPO"

Sumedang Regency Government implements cyber public relations by designing and managing public information using a social media platform called WA KEPO (WhatsApp Kebutuhan Informsi dan Pelayanan Online). This research aims to examine how the Sumedang Regency Government implements cyber public relations. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study research method. The findings indicate that the Sumedang Regency Government uses WA KEPO as a medium for public information to ensure transparency. Information shared through WA KEPO demonstrates a commitment to transparency. The presence of cyber public relations elements in WA KEPO shows that using WA KEPO as a public information medium represents a form of cyber public relations activity and reflects digital transformation within the government system. The public uses WA KEPO to access information and public services. Although the platform has facilitated access to information, the effectiveness and challenges faced by users when accessing WA KEPO need to be re-evaluated. The Sumedang Regency Government implements cyber public relations through WA KEPO by taking strategic steps to establish the platform and by collaborating with regional organizations (OPDs) and vertical agencies. The choice of WhatsApp is based on its widespread use among people in Indonesia and the convenience and speed it offers in delivering information. This study concludes that the Sumedang Regency Government effectively implements cyber public relations through WA KEPO as an information medium.

PERAN GURU DALAM PENGUATAN KARAKTER SISWA DI ERA SOCIETY 5.0 (OPTIMALISASI PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI PEMBELAJARAN)

The era of society 5.0 is a concept where people already understand and understand the importance of the role of Information and Communication Technology so that people will get a positive impact from the development of technology. In the world of education in the era of society 5.0, students are required to have some expertise in technology which is supported by the ability to think creatively, innovatively, critically, communication skills and collaboration skills. In addition to students who must have various skills, teachers as educators have their own role, namely helping students in facing the era of society 5.0. One of the roles of teachers is to provide character education to students to form good ethics so that these characters can make students able to collaborate with technology positively. The purpose of this study is to explain the importance of the role of teachers in strengthening student character, especially in the era of society 5.0. In addition, the purpose of this study is to explain how important teachers are in optimizing the use of learning technology to help students face the era of society 5.0. The method used is a Qualitative Approach with a case study research method. The result of this study is that a teacher has an important role in strengthening student character in the era of society 5.0. by doing character education at school. Overcoming Barriers and Fostering Adoption: Evaluating the Institutional Mainstreaming of Nature-Based Solutions in the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Socio-Ecological System

International organizations like the EU and IUCN are advocating for nature-based solutions (NBSs) as green alternatives for climate change adaptation and mitigation, especially in disaster risk reduction and urban planning. The H2020 OPERANDUM project was designed to address the major hydro-meteorological risks (floods, droughts, landslides, storm surge, and coastal erosions) through the deployment and assessment of NBSs in different contexts and areas affected by specific hazards. Despite growing research and funding, NBSs are still in the early stages of mainstream adoption and face challenges in acceptance and dissemination. Although designed to benefit both social and ecological systems, they remain a niche area with low perceived effectiveness among technicians and decision-makers. Their uptake requires a paradigm shift that includes a change in cultural-cognitive institutions, a different and wider set of knowledge than traditional engineering (ecological, social), and an adaptive management approach, missing within the current governance system. Using a qualitative case study research method, this paper aims to identify barriers in mainstreaming NBSs for DRR (disaster risk reduction) in the Emilia-Romagna region—influenced not only by individual beliefs but also by variables tied to technical culture and local procedural norms—and emphasizing the importance of combining social and ecological indicators in socio-ecological system analysis.

The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Fostering Students' Morals at State Vocational High School 1 Banyudono

<p>Personality is a crucial factor for the success of students in the learning process. Instilling good habits from an early age is very important for students. Teachers play a significant role in schools, especially Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, who are educators directly responsible for moral development and the inculcation of legal norms concerning right and wrong, as well as responsibility. This study aims to determine the roles, methods, supporting factors, and obstacles faced by PAI teachers in shaping the personalities of students at SMKN 01 Banyudono Boyolali. The approach used is qualitative, employing case study research methods through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study conclude that PAI teachers play an essential role in the moral development of students at SMKN 1 Banyudono, primarily as educators, guides, habituators, and implementers of religious activities. Efforts made by PAI teachers to cultivate students' morals include encouraging the habit of reciting "basmallah" at the beginning of learning activities, saying "hamdallah" at the end, starting lessons by reciting Asma’ul Husna, maintaining classroom cleanliness, assigning additional tasks to memorize prayer recitations, promoting Quranic literacy, guiding and setting an example for students to perform congregational prayers, and actively participating in the execution of religious activities.</p>

The entrepreneurial transformation process of BTS: initiation, development, growth and expansion

PurposeThis paper explores the entrepreneurial transformation of Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bangtan Boys (BTS), tracing their journey from initiation through expansion. Despite the global prominence of their music, dance and outreach, many aspects of BTS’s meteoric rise remain underexplored. This study aims to illuminate the strategic and organizational developments that have propelled their unprecedented growth in the global media landscape.Design/methodology/approachUsing case study research methods, this paper uses a multimodal approach to examine BTS’s intricate interactions with market dynamics and fan engagement comprehensively. Using entrepreneurial innovation as the overarching theoretical framework, the authors categorize BTS’s transformational processes into drivers, practices and outcomes, thereby elucidating the strategies used to navigate key challenges and pivotal moments in their worldwide ascent.FindingsThe BTS organization exhibits a distinct entrepreneurial orientation and transformation process across its phases of initiation, development, growth and expansion. The authors identify specific drivers, practices and outcomes along with strategic vision, actionable practices and measurable performance outcomes at each stage.Research limitations/implicationsWhile this study draws valuable parallels between BTS’s trajectory and established growth models, it recognizes the limitations inherent in a single-case study approach. The findings highlight the critical role of entrepreneurial leadership in the entertainment industry and suggest further exploration into the universal applicability of these models across different genres and cultural contexts within the music industry.Practical implicationsThis paper underscores the importance of entrepreneurial innovation within entertainment organizations. The conceptual framework provided can assist managers in formulating strategies and policies for the growth and transformation of similar entities.Social implicationsBTS’s case demonstrates how engaging a global audience with culturally specific content and the universal appeal of youthful energy can be transformative. This engagement is facilitated through effective use of music, dance and dynamic interactions on social media.Originality/valueBy analyzing BTS from an entrepreneurial leadership perspective, this study offers unique insights by examining their internal motivations and managerial practices, as well as the external outcomes, spanning from 2010 to 2023.

Kebebasan Berekspresi Laki-Laki pada Media Sosial melalui Fashion Androgini

For centuries, fashion has been a visual marker of our gender, and nowadays the term androgynous fashion has arisen. Being outside the binary, individuals in Indonesia dressing in this style often face discrimination due to its strong patriarchal culture. Consequently, Instagram has become a prominent platform for people to express themselves in a more intimate way. Utilizing the case study research method, Jovi Adhiguna Hunter, an androgynous fashion influencer, was chosen as the research object. His self-disclosure through fashion is analyzed using social penetration theory, with an emphasis on his Instagram posts @joviadhiguna from 2019 to June 2023. Previous studies have primarily examined the presence of androgynous individuals on social media and their personal branding. Therefore, this study aims to delve deeper into how Jovi Adhiguna discloses his identity through androgynous fashion. Employing qualitative research and a case study approach within the constructivism paradigm, the study finds that Jovi Adhiguna's Instagram self-disclosure has reached a stable stage.His consistent disclosures are accompanied by captions expressing Jovi Adhiguna Hunter's views on genderless design and are reflected in his choice of outfits, accessories, photo expression, and poses that embrace a feminine aesthetic, which has happened since 2021.

Hijab Fantasy on Instagram: Community Fantasy Theme for Vanilla Hijab Brand

In the contemporary era, the hijab is no longer exclusively associated with a specific demographic. Its meaning has evolved and is now widely accepted within the community. While the hijab is a mandatory practice for Muslim women, it has also become a fashion statement. The growing acceptance of hijab has led to the emergence of local hijab brands. This article examines the use of social media, particularly Instagram, to examine communication between groups of hijab users, focusing on customers of a particular brand of hijab, namely Vanilla Hijab. Observing this group behavior used fantasy, emphasizing how individuals achieve a shared reality through communication. Individuals in the group conducted shared reality-seeing behavior among individuals guided by stories that reflect how reality is confirmed. The reinforcement of shared reality is repeated through personal, group, or community achievements and takes the form of stories or tales. In examining the theme of hijab customer group fantasy, the researcher employed a qualitative case study research method by conducting interviews with female Vanila Hijab customers. Producers use Instagram social media not only to inform the public about Vanilla Hijab's activities and introduce its products but also to build community involvement and receive input from a segmented audience. The findings indicate that group members added numerous fantasy themes to maintain group communication and foster group culture.

Thought Stoping dalam Menghadapi Ansietas Klien Hipertensi

Background: Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure that exceeds normal limits (120/80 mmHg). Hypertension can be caused by lifestyle, diet and genetics (heredity), apart from that, factors that can trigger an increase in blood pressure levels are psychological factors, namely anxiety, which if not treated will result in depression so that the client is reluctant to treat hypertension until the client experiences a stroke and death . In theory, one therapy that nurses can do to prevent this is by providing Thought Stopping relaxation therapy. Objective: It is hoped that Thought Stopping therapy can reduce respondents' anxiety. Research design: This research used a case study research method on 5 respondents conducted for 3 days on responses that had just been identified as hypertension (last 1-3 months). Before and after the research, respondents were asked to fill out the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ)-20). Research results: After implementation, there was a decrease in scores for respondents 1 to 3 from a score of 8 to 4, respondent 4 from a score of 9 to 4 and respondent 5 from a score of 10 to 5. Conclusion: With this research it can be concluded that Therapy Thought Stopping can reduce anxiety. Suggestion: This therapy is highly recommended in reducing anxiety in clients who have just been diagnosed with hypertension so that clients are willing to carry out consistent care/treatment.

NGO Trend Asia's Efforts in Controlling Transboundary Air Pollution in Jakarta: A Case Study of the Suralaya Steam Power Plant

The problem of poor air pollution quality is becoming more serious often in big cities, especially in the capital city of DKI Jakarta. Apart from vehicle emissions, there are other problems that are also important due to the use of Steam Power Plants (PLTU) around the Jakarta area. PLTU Suralaya in Banten is one of the largest sectors that emits the amount of emissions that have an impact on the surrounding area. This study aims to provide a description of the strategy carried out by the Non-Government Organization (NGO) Trend Asia as an effort to control air pollution pollution in Jakarta through transboundary emissions by the Suralaya PLTU. This research uses qualitative case study research methods and will be strengthened by the theory of environmental NGO strategy by MC. Cormick as an analysis knife of this study. The results of this study explain the strategies used by Trend Asia in efforts to control transboundary emission pollution of the Suralaya coal-fired power plant from nine MC strategies. The relevant Cormick used six strategies, namely Working with Elected Officials, Undertaking Research, Campaigning and Organizing Public Protests, Promoting Media Coverage of Environmental Issues, Information Exchange, and Generating Local Community Involvement in Environmental Protection.

TEXTILE WASTE RECYCLE PROGRAM IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE DESIGN BY THE COMMUNITY OF KARANGREJO VILLAGE AND PT DAUR LANGKAH BERSAMA (PABLE)

The fashion and textile industry contributes to high level of consumerism which has a major impact that leads to climate change. Facing this, PT. Daur Langkah Bersama (Pable) as a start-up company that manages textile waste offers a solution with a responsible textile waste management by empowering the people of Karangrejo Village. This research is focused on therecycle program which in the process minimizes the use of water and other resources to be more environmentally friendly. The aims of this research are (1) finding the results of the textile waste recycle program by Pable, and (2) examining Pable’s form of sustainability in processing the textile waste. This study uses a case study research method on the circular economy concept. There are three main components to be analyzed; data reduction, data presentation, and verification, that involved in interrelated processes to determine the final result. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with case study methods. The data relating to the upcycle process of textile waste by Pable studied qualitatively, where the conditions and situation in Karangrejo Village examined directly through interviews, observation, and documentation. Additionally, it aims to understand how sustainability has been implemented by both parties.

Is Consuming Avocados Equally Sustainable Worldwide? An Activity to Promote Eco-Social Education from Science Education

The socio-environmental crisis in which we find ourselves makes it necessary to promote a citizenship capable of facing global challenges in an informed, critical, and participatory manner. Given the shortcomings of environmental education practices and the limitations of teachers to develop effective activities in their classrooms, it is necessary to review and redefine teacher training. In accordance with the case study research method, we present the results of the implementation of an activity for teacher training on environmental socio-scientific issues: the production and consumption of avocados in Spain. The aim is to find out how students use the evidence and what perspectives they integrate when making argued decisions, which will allow us to assess the didactic potential of the designed activity and contribute to the consolidation of the didactic dimension of eco-social education. The results show the students’ ability to use the evidence in a critical and reflective way, sometimes oriented toward the search for and proposal of solutions, and also their ability to address the problem using a systemic approach, integrating different perspectives, including political, economic, social, ecological, ethical, health, local, and global considerations. For this reason, the activity presented is considered suitable for promoting the didactics of eco-social education in teacher training.
