Sharing and Co-Creating Value: Innovation in Platform-Based Agricultural Service Models Driven by Service Demand Collaboration—A Case Study of the JN Life

Platform-based agricultural service models have increasingly become a primary approach to agricultural socialized services in China. This study investigates a service-demand-driven platform-based agricultural service model through the case of JN Life initiated by nine ecological farms. Based on the theory of value co-creation, it traces the development of the JN platform ecosystem across three phases: emergence, formation, and expansion. The study examines how farm members and key stakeholders of the JN platform actively collaborate throughout these phases, transitioning from value propositions to institutional arrangements, resource integration, and achieving value co-creation. This process is referred to as an endogenous (vs. exogenous) platform-based agricultural service model. The findings provide valuable insights into advancing the sustainable development of ecological farms and agricultural socialized services, as well as enhancing collaborative innovation in the platform ecosystem.

From local solutions to catchment-wide management: an investigation of upstream-downstream trade-offs when scaling out nature-based flood risk management

ABSTRACT Natural flood management (NFM) is a nature-based solution (NbS) widely recognised as an option to regulate flooding whilst providing multiple ecosystem services (ES) for society and the environment. To address climate change-enhanced flood risk, localised-NFM could be scaled out (expanded geographically to the catchment level). Implementing catchment-scale NFM will not only change landscape appearance but also give rise to potential ES trade-offs between the ‘providers’ of upstream land for flood regulation and the ‘beneficiaries’ of reduced flooding downstream. This paper presents a live case study of four river catchments in the UK, where a multi-agency-funded collaborative project is implementing integrated, catchment-scale NFM to work with downstream urban flood defences. Assessment of the views of upstream-downstream catchment communities is limited. Utilising five focus groups (n = 17 participants) we investigate the potential misalignments or synergies between catchment communities that will provision or benefit from NFM that could either derail or support scaling out initiatives. Results reveal that upstream and downstream participants hold strong affinities to contemporary rural landscape aesthetics, expressing sympathies with tasking farmers with delivering flood regulation ES when their traditional vocation is to deliver provisioning ES. Participants also exhibited resistance to landscape change caused by NFM. Nevertheless, acceptability of scaling out NFM increased when aesthetic preferences were considered, especially in provider regions, while beneficiaries prioritised more effective NFM measures over appearance. Inclusive discussion and knowledge exchange (e.g. personal stories, catchment visualisations) in the focus groups facilitated greater appreciation of whole catchment community values and understanding for scaling out NFM.

The Reliability of the Product based on Customer Perception in Network Marketing: A Case Study of Oriflame, Forever Living and Avon Companies among SAUT Students in Mwanza-Tanzania

The study intended to determine the reliability of the product on customer perception in network marketing products: a case of Oriflame, Forever Living and Avon Companies among SAUT Students in Mwanza-Tanzania, Moreover, the theory of planned behaviour was adopted by the study. Furthermore, the study was a quantitative study which employed descriptive design. The study used 375 respondents which responded to questionnaires and regression analysis was employed to analyze and present data. Also, the reliability coefficient of the instruments was 0.9. The study revealed that while customers generally perceive Oriflame, Forever Living, and Avon products positively, there are significant areas for improvement include product performance, packaging, and detailed usage instructions. Customer feedback indicated that prolonged use is linked to brand loyalty, yet many participants rated the products neutrally in terms of value for money and brand trust. Content engagement was rated highly, suggesting that enhancing interactive and engaging content could benefit these companies. The study concludes that although customers are generally satisfied with the network market products, there is a need to improve product distinctiveness, packaging quality, and clarity of information to build stronger brand loyalty. Addressing these areas can enhance customer trust and satisfaction, thereby increasing competitive advantage in the network marketing landscape. It is therefore recommended that network market products should enhance their product and packaging distinctiveness and partner with well-connected influencers to improve marketing effectiveness. Additionally, companies should focus on creating highly engaging content and addressing any product quality and packaging issues promptly to meet customer expectations and foster loyalty

The practice of recycling SIM card numbers by telecommunications providers often results in losses for existing customers, such as misuse of personal data and communication disruptions. This research aims to identify the types of losses experienced by customers due to the recycling of SIM card numbers and to analyze the accountability of telecommunications service providers for the losses incurred from the recycling of SIM card numbers from the perspective of Maslahah Mursalah. This type of research is empirical legal research with a living case studies approach, a statute approach, and a conceptual approach. Data is collected using interviews and document studies. The data is then processed and analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of this research indicate that the practice of recycling SIM cards in Gunungtua city leads to losses such as financial losses, reputational damage, and privacy breaches. In the perspective of maslahah mursalah, customers feel that the recycling of the number does not provide them with benefits compared to the operators who gain many advantages and profits. A review of the maslahah mursalah concerning the practice of recycling SIM card numbers indicates that if the harms outweigh the benefits, then it is not permissible. Furthermore, telecommunications service providers must be held accountable for any losses experienced by customers due to the practice of recycling SIM card numbers.

Living lab as support for co-creation of value: application to agro-biodiversity contracting solutions

ABSTRACT In addition to providing private goods such as food, fibre and biomass, agriculture can deliver a variety of environmental public goods and ecosystem services, such as biodiversity conservation, water filtering, carbon sequestration, and landscape aesthetics for recreation. Often, however, the use of agricultural landscapes prioritises the provision of private goods, resulting in negative environmental impacts. To address this imbalance in the provision of private and public goods, targeted policy instruments (e.g. contracts) are required to ensure that public goods are provided at the level desired by society. This paper, which is written in the context of the Horizon 2020 project “Contracts 2.0 – H2020 RUR-03-2018”, aims to present a Living Lab case study in Tuscany to point out possible future scenarios of contractual solutions that could provide the right incentives for farmers and land managers to produce a specific environmental public good such as agro-biodiversity. This paper aims to evaluate the application of Living Labs in the case study, assessing what challenges might seriously hinder the collaboration process and/or the success of the participatory approach. Thanks to the participatory approach, it was possible to finalise the “dream contract” in the Living Lab case study. Contract Innovation Labs and Policy Innovation Labs members agreed on a new type of contract based on clear and measurable objectives decided together by farmers and public authorities.

This study aims to examine and analyse the law of buying and selling fruits apples that use liquit wax as a preservative, focusing on the views of Sayyid Sabiq. This research is conducted using a case study conducted at Mmtc Market Subdistrict Percut Sei Tuan, Regency Deli Serdang, as a real form of the existence of this phenomenon. This type of research is empirical legal research with conceptual approach and living case study. The data is collected by interview, observation and document study methods, then the data is processed by qualitative methods with a deductive thinking approach. The findings of this study indicate that the buying and selling of fruits apples using liquit wax is not permissible or void according to Sayyid Sabiq's perspective. This is because there is an element of uncertainty or lack of clarity because the seller does not know the condition of the fruit. This research also looks at the negative side effects of using wax in the long term can cause brain cancer, leukaemia and defects in children.

ROLE OF GEOMETRICAL ART IN THE MORPHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF MUGHAL TOMBS

Art and architecture are said to be interconnected from a long time. Mughal time period has been said to have the maximum art and art influence in its era. The architecture of that time is termed to be marvellous and spectacular. Art is considered something that is unique and a form of self-expression. The aim of this paper is to investigate the geometry used in morphological development of Mughal monuments and in their transitions. Live case study is done to explore the different elements, their geometry, artworks, and materials in Mughal monuments (Humayun’s Tomb and Itimad-Ud-Daulah tomb). The geometrical transitions in different elements of the tomb buildings studied and their interrelationship is then found. Findings shows that these transformations contributed in the development of overall morphological definition of Mughal tomb structures. It can be seen that Mughal era art and architecture made use of geometry in their morphological development. Also, different materials and art forms were used in different architectural elements of tomb buildings.

Error Correction and Adaptation in Conversational AI: A Review of Techniques and Applications in Chatbots

This study explores the progress of chatbot technology, focusing on the aspect of error correction to enhance these smart conversational tools. Chatbots, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), are increasingly prevalent across industries such as customer service, healthcare, e-commerce, and education. Despite their use and increasing complexity, chatbots are prone to errors like misunderstandings, inappropriate responses, and factual inaccuracies. These issues can have an impact on user satisfaction and trust. This research provides an overview of chatbots, conducts an analysis of errors they encounter, and examines different approaches to rectifying these errors. These approaches include using data-driven feedback loops, involving humans in the learning process, and adjusting through learning methods like reinforcement learning, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, semi-supervised learning, and meta-learning. Through real life examples and case studies in different fields, we explore how these strategies are implemented. Looking ahead, we explore the different challenges faced by AI-powered chatbots, including ethical considerations and biases during implementation. Furthermore, we explore the transformative potential of new technological advancements, such as explainable AI models, autonomous content generation algorithms (e.g., generative adversarial networks), and quantum computing to enhance chatbot training. Our research provides information for developers and researchers looking to improve chatbot capabilities, which can be applied in service and support industries to effectively address user requirements.

Lifestyle Medicine's Role in Common Hormonal Disorders: A Case-Based Discussion.

Hormonal disorders like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, male hypogonadism are commonly encountered in clinical practice in the US and worldwide, with rising frequency. These typically affect patients during young or middle age, compared with other common chronic illnesses like type 2 diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, where onset may usually be in middle or older age. Multiple studies point to the role of disordered lifestyle health behaviors as contributory to these endocrinopathies, and conversely therapeutic lifestyle changes leading to improvement in signs, symptoms, biochemical markers, and sequelae of these conditions. This article presents 3 different real life case studies of the conditions enlisted above and documents the positive impact of lifestyle improvements on their disease condition. Therapeutic lifestyle behaviors are an extremely useful and important component of management of these familiar endocrinologic disorders, and clinicians need to routinely counsel their patients about healthy lifestyle interventions when treating these common syndromes.

Experiential learning in a problem-based course on urban forest planning and management

Environmental management in urban spaces involves creative problem-solving with regard for public communication, economics, and socio-political dynamics. As post-secondary institutions provide increasing opportunities for developing these skills, there is little discussion about pedagogical approaches in urban forestry and sustainability programs. A seminar-format university course was designed and implemented to teach management planning in urban forestry. The course employed experiential learning to enhance students' capacity for identifying problems and proposing novel solutions to classroom-confined and live case studies in urban forest management. Student focus group participants valued the incorporation of operational aspects into post-secondary education, as well as reflective opportunities provided through peer-to-peer learning, peer-based evaluations, and opportunities for autonomous active experimentation. Students experienced a positive shift in perceptions of operational staff, underscoring the importance of arborists’ work and their experiential knowledge. The experiential framework thusly provides a valuable opportunity to introduce real-world management and operations to students within a safe space for exploration.

The response of marine fish population productivity to juvenile habitat modifications depends upon life histories

AbstractCoastal and estuarine habitats are essential for both growth and survival at juvenile stages for a large proportion of marine fish but are exposed to a variety of threats. However, the quantitative impacts of anthropic‐mediated nursery degradation on exploited population dynamics and productivity are rarely addressed. We developed a comprehensive steepness‐based parameterization of the stock–recruitment relationship that directly depends upon juvenile habitat quality and surface area and used a generic age‐ and stage‐structured model to simulate exploited population dynamics under nursery degradation/restoration scenarios. Population responses to juvenile habitat modification were estimated for three species with contrasting life histories. Modifying the surface area of nursery habitat has a predictable direct scaling effect on population size and affects biomass and fishing yield, with identical responses observed for various life histories. Modification of habitat quality affects both the population size and the shape of the productivity curve, leading to more complex responses of biomass and fishing yields that depend upon combinations of life history traits. Populations with low steepness and hence lower resiliency to fishing are the most sensitive to the degradation of habitat quality. Our study emphasizes the critical impact of juvenile habitat modification on population dynamics and productivity and the need to integrate habitat consideration into the management of exploited marine species. Our modelling framework is generalizable and can be extended to handle many diverse life histories and case studies to quantify the consequences of coastal habitat degradation/restoration for the dynamics of exploited marine fish populations.

Bank Tabungan Negara Branch Office Solo (Bank BTN KC Solo) is an extension of the main BTN bank that carries out tasks and business activities in the field of financial banking services, especially in supporting financing in the housing sector through providing BTN mortgage facilities (KPR BTN). One of the issues that arise in providing these KPR facilities is default or breach of promise due to the non-payment of installments in the KPR. The purpose of this research is to determine the procedures for implementing BTN mortgage facilities and to identify solutions to problems in providing BTN mortgage facilities. The type of research used is normative-empirical legal research, using descriptive research, with a live case study approach. Data is based on primary and secondary data, with data analysis techniques used in this study being interactive analysis models. The results indicate that if a debtor defaults, the legal consequences for the bank are the right to contact the debtor and/or other relevant parties and the right to issue warnings in the form of default notices in the form of letters or similar deeds. The efforts made by the bank against debtors who default include collection efforts, credit salvage efforts, and credit resolution efforts.

Dampak Pola Asuh Permisif Orangtua Terhadap Perilaku Remaja Perspektif Hukum Islam (Studi Kasus Di Medan Amplas Kota Medan)

Parenting has an impact on children's attitudes and behavior in interaction. In providing these parenting activities, parents will provide attention, rules, discipline, rewards and punishments as well as responses to their children's wishes in order to avoid juvenile delinquency. The problem that occurs in Medan Amplas, Medan City is the existence of juvenile delinquency behavior. This is due to the loss of parental control over their children in parenting and educating their children. The purpose of this research is to find out how the impact of permissive parenting on adolescent behavior in Medan Amplas and how Islamic Law views permissive parenting. This type of research is empirical juridical with a living case studies approach and conceptual approach. Data is collected through interviews and document studies, then the data is processed and analyzed with qualitative methods. The results showed that permissive parenting characterized by a lack of parental supervision and guidance of children is not in accordance with parenting in the view of Islamic law because parents have the obligation to educate, guide, and prevent children from doing bad things.

Analysis of Violations of the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants in the Business Sector: Case Study of AP and KAP Involvement at PT Asuransi Adisarana Wanaartha (WAL)

The research aims to analyze violations of the professional code of ethics for accountants in the business sector, focusing on the case study of PT Asuransi Adisarana Wanaartha Life (WAL) to obtain a comprehensive review. Hopefully, this study will open new insights into the role of codes of ethics in maintaining the integrity and trust of the public in the accounting profession and the public accounting profession. This research uses a literature review analysis method. The type of data collection used is secondary data in the form of journal articles with index Sinta 2 - 6, Garuda, index Copernicus international (ICI) via the page https://scholar.google.com over five years from 2019 -2023, as well as news and press releases via the website. The data analysis technique is conducted descriptively by analyzing and identifying scientific articles, news, and press releases, generating a more informative summary. The results of the research reveal how important it is for every practitioner to maintain competence and expertise in the field of accounting, adhere firmly to and comply with the code of ethics of the accounting profession in carrying out accounting practices, thus creating a professional and accountable attitude, and avoiding the risk of violating the code of ethics of the accounting profession.

THE IDENTIFICATION OF SENIOR LIVING DESIGN WITH THE APPROACH OF BEHAVIORAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ARCHITECTURE

Currently, Indonesia is experiencing the phenomenon of an Aging Population, along with the increasing elderly population. Then facilities are needed for the elderly in the form of nursing homes. However, existing nursing homes have limited facilities and activities for the elderly. One of the strategies for fulfillment above is the Senior Living facility, as a residence that focuses on the elderly community who are productive and active in social and economic aspects, as well as living prosperously and happily. To increase the productivity of the elderly, senior living design strategies can use environmental and behavioral architecture approaches. This study aims to determine the indicators of senior living design with an environmental, architectural, and behavioral approach. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with stages: (1) Observation of behavior and facilities in three Senior Living case studies. (2) Identify indicators of environmental architecture design and behavior in three Senior Living case studies. (3) Senior Living design recommendations with an environmental and behavioral architecture approach. The results showed the form of application related to the criteria that need to be considered in designing Senior Living.

Gendered Labor in the Artisanal Industry: Uncovering the lives, histories, and conditions of women and artisans in India and Guatemala

This research paper offers an analysis of gendered labor and its effects on the female artisanal industry in India and Guatemala. In this study I examine the meaning of gendered labor and how historical and socio-cultural influences impact gendered labor in these artisanal communities. My research revolves around three primary areas of focus: grassroots movements, government policies, and fiscal measures that support female artisans. I conclude with the importance of preserving traditional artisanal communities for employment purposes and for future generations. I advocate for the advancement and empowerment of women artisans and aim to delve into the complex interplay between gender, labor, and traditional craftsmanship in diverse cultural contexts, while citing real life case studies and examples.

Peran Satuan Pengawas Ketenagakerjaan dalam Perlindungan Terhadap Pekerja Perempuan yang Bekerja Pada Malam Hari di Kabupaten Kudus

This research aims to determine the role and obstacles faced by labor inspectors in the context of protecting companies that employ female workers at night in Kudus Regency. This research is descriptive empirical normative research using a live case study research approach. Basically, when employing female workers at night, there are special rules regarding female workers that must be fulfilled by companies which are regulated in the Employment Law. However, its implementation is still not carried out optimally. This statement is proven by the discovery of violations committed by employers against workers, especially in employing female workers at night. This raises questions about the role of law enforcement, especially labor inspectors, in protecting female workers at night. Therefore, this writing will focus on describing the roles and obstacles faced by labor inspectors in protecting female workers at night in Kudus Regency.
