Breast milk is a single food that can meet the needs of babies up to 6 months. Breastfeeding is the ideal feeding for the growth and development of infants. The importance of breastfeeding has been known by several mothers after giving birth, but not all mothers want to breastfeed their babies for various reasons, including busy work, breast milk is not smooth, breast milk does not come out or comes out a little, and breastfeeding is inhibited. Therefore, to facilitate milk production, it can be done by stimulating the oxytocin reflex with oxytocin massage. By doing oxytocin massage, the mother will feel relaxed so that it can help stimulate the release of the hormone oxytocin. This study aims to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on the smooth production of breast milk in Yukum Jaya Village, Kec. Terbanggi Besar Kab. Central Lampung. This research is an experimental observational study with a Quasi Experimental Design model of Non Equivalent Control Group Equivalent Design with a total sampling of 30 nursing mothers which consists of two groups, namely 15 nursing mothers who do oxytocin massage and 15 who do not do oxytocin massage. Based on the Paired Sample T Test, Pair 1 obtained Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, Pair 2 Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.003 < 0.05, then there is a difference in the average result of smooth breastfeeding between the experiment and the control, and the mean result in the experiment is 5.47 to 8.47, while in the control 6.07 it is 6.05 so that breastfeeding mothers who do oxytocin massage are significantly better compared to those who did not do oxytocin massage. Based on the Independent Sample Test, Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.002 < 0.05, then there is a difference in the results of smooth breastfeeding between breastfeeding mothers who do oxytocin massage and those who do not do oxytocin massage. This is in accordance with the results of research Rahayu D,. & Yunarsih Y. (2018) that there are differences between groups of breastfeeding mothers who do oxytocin massage and groups of breastfeeding mothers who do not do oxytocin massage. In conclusion, there is an effect of oxytocin massage on the smooth production of breast milk.
