Training on Utilizing Market Place Opportunities for Students Senior Hight School in Nazhatut Thullab Prajjan Sampang

Current technological developments provide opportunities for the business world to develop very quickly. One of them is the increasing popularity of online businesses by using the internet to carry out transactions and promotions. Online business can be an option for building a business. In the 2013 education curriculum, entrepreneurship is taught to all high school students with the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. To support this government program and take advantage of the ease of communication technology and the internet, basic training in online business is carried out using only gadget devices that are very close to our daily lives. The aim of this training is not only to produce young entrepreneurs, but also to encourage students to carry out productive activities by using student gadgets to start online businesses. Training was carried out for students at Prajjan Camplong High School. This training activity uses survey, lecture and mentoring methods to create an account on Shopee. The targets of this activity include students being able to start useful activities by doing online business using their gadget devices. Apart from that, students can become graduates who have business skills that can create new jobs.

EFFECTS OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OF MICROFINANCE INSTITUTIONS ON THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR MEMBERS IN VINTAR, ILOCOS NORTE, PHILIPPINES

This study determined the effects of the products and services of Microfinance Institutions on the economic development of their members in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The descriptive correlational research design was adopted using a survey questionnaire to gather data. A total of 603 respondents were involved. They were taken from the members of two Microfinance Institutions (CARD Bank Inc. and ASA Philippines Foundation Inc.,) in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines who have been a member for at least two years. The study was delimited into the top three barangays with the most members which are composed of Barangays Parut, Alejo Malasig, and Pedro F. Alviar. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean, Chi-square test, and Pearson r of correlation were used to analyze and interpret the data gathered. The following were the highlights of the findings of the study. The MFIs are giving their members quality products offered on loan applications and loan features as manifested by a very satisfied and satisfied rating of their members, respectively, as it is significantly and positively related to their economic development. The MFI members’ economic development in terms of financial, personal, and business status are significantly and highly related to their level of satisfaction with the customer services offered by the MFIs. The MFI’s services offered have met the satisfaction level of their members as expressed by a rating of very satisfied and satisfied on customer service and non-financial services, respectively. It was recommended that: On the part of Microfinance Institutions, they should consider the financial status of their members in terms of the reasonable service fee, and allow repayment and reasonable penalties for nonpayment/default to lessen their burden on their expenses, microfinance institutions should also conduct community development projects in different municipalities to increase their members' economic development, and microfinance institutions should provide business training to improve or expand their members’ business strategies. On the part of the members, they should pay their payments on time and actively participate in the activities of the MFIs. On the part of future researchers, they may also conduct studies in other places that offer products and services of Microfinance Institutions, they may also consider other variables, such as their incentives and benefits.

Status of integrated crop-livestock research in the mixed farming systems of the Global South: a scoping study

Mixed farming systems (MFS) are the main food source and exist across almost all agroecological regions in the Global South. A systematic scoping review was conducted to identify the status of integrated crop-livestock research in MFS of the Global South. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses protocol was used to identify 210 studies (excluding reviews) addressing productivity, resilience, challenges, opportunities, and perceptions of integrating crops and livestock in the Global South from the Scopus and Web of Science database. Publication details, problem statement, experimental details and research outcomes of each study were extracted into an MS. Excel sheet. Descriptive methods such as frequency counting and the word frequency cloud were used to analyze the data and identify emerging themes. Integrated crop-livestock research was mostly conducted in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia and not much from North Africa and the Caribbean. The integrated research has been focused on farm production of human food and animal feed by smallholder farmers and soil productivity. Maize was the most dominant crop, while for livestock, it was sheep and cattle. The integrated crop-livestock research seeked to address various challenges, including the growing demand for food and fodder, water scarcity, land scarcity and degradation, climate change, disease outbreaks and social changes. The review summarized proposed strategies and approaches to improve the efficiency of MFS in the Global South. Under the current challenges, feed quality and supply can be improved through adoption of high biomass, climate smart and improved drought-tolerant fodder crops. Using crop residues incorporated in crop fields for improved soil organic matter and controlled grazing were some strategies suggested for land rehabilitation. Building the resilience of smallholder farmers in MFS can be done through diversification and ensuring access to information, markets and finance. Policies that promote the business component, i.e., markets, training, gender equality, private investments, tenure systems and technology adoption were identified for the sustainability of MFS. There is need for research that integrates crop-livestock systems and natural resource management innovations and that evaluates sustainable intensification strategies to meet productivity goals without compromising social and ecological outcomes in MFS.

Digital Training for Micro-Entrepreneurs: Experimental Evidence from Guatemala

Abstract Previous literature shows minor impacts of in-person business training in developing countries, but few papers study the effectiveness of digital training. A research partnership with a multinational company operating in the food sector of Guatemala enables the randomized evaluation of a digital training program involving the franchise store owners of one of its retail chains. The training program combined a mobile app offering access to reproducible video capsules and virtual one-on-one consulting meetings. The results of the randomized evaluation reveal significant impacts on knowledge, business practices, sales, and profits. An examination of the mechanisms underlying these results reveals that consulting meetings are crucial in inducing engagement with the app’s content. Program flexibility, internet access, and initial sales are also crucial determinants of training effectiveness.

Value Chain Analysis of the Broiler Industry in the Southern Sector of Ghana

<p>The livestock subsector especially broiler production plays a significant role in the livelihood and food security in Ghana. Several researchers in developing nations have employed value chain methodologies to investigate the linkages and the interactions of the various actors in the poultry sector. However, none of these studies comprehensively captured each actor’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as well as the governance structure and profitability of the broiler industry. This paper fills this gap by analyzing the governance structure, value addition, determinants of profitability and prospect of the broiler industry using 290 respondents (180 broiler producers, 65 distributors and 45 retailers) from the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Bono Regions of Ghana. The study adopted the scoring analytical technique, net farm income (NFI), the modified Cobb-Douglas function and the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) matrix for the analyses. The results revealed producers as the key governors with the highest value addition and return on investment. Distributors and processors on the other hand form informal cartels to monopolize their activities to increase bargaining power. Whilst credit access, education, business training, age and feed type influenced profitability, the broiler industry is threatened by high importation of frozen chicken, high taxes, lack of capital access and high cost of operation. The study recommends that the government should pursue measures to minimize the cost of operations through input-tax exemptions and reduce the importation of chicken products. Stakeholders should invest in input supply, processing technologies and transportation facilities to boost local production for profit gains.</p>

A Study to Explore the Perception of Companies to Invest on Training of their Employees in India

This research intends to investigate how Indian-based businesses view their investment in staff training. Investing in staff development has become crucial for organisations to stay competitive and react to changing industry trends in today's dynamic business environment. However, investing in training programmes requires large financial outlays, and the choice is impacted by a number of internal and external variables. This study was carried out using a mixed-methods technique. The quantitative phase includes a survey that was given out to a broad sample of businesses from all sizes and sectors in different parts of India. The survey's questionnaire was designed to evaluate organisations' present training practises, training budget allocations, perceived advantages, and challenges in offering complete staff development possibilities. Key stakeholders were interviewed in-depth throughout the qualitative phase, including HR managers, trainers, and senior executives from particular organisations. These interviews provide insightful information on how decisions are made, how to overcome obstacles, and how long-term business plans for workforce development. The study's findings provide insight into how businesses view investing in employee training as an investment in human capital. The study identifies the variables that affect how much money is allocated to training initiatives, including perceived ROI, strategic objective alignment, legal requirements, and the competitive advantages that come from having a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. The study also investigates how the fast evolving technology environment affects business training practises. It also explores how government programmes and policies affect whether or not money is spent on employee training. This discovery has important ramifications for both academics and business. It adds to the body of knowledge in the academic fields of organisational behaviour, human resource management, and strategic management by giving a thorough grasp of the factors that influence training investment decisions.

Virtual Reality for Supporting Knowledge Sharing: An Exercise of Technology Assessment

Knowledge sharing is an important process in knowledge management to foster collaboration. For itseffective management, it is often suggested to use the support of adequate technologies. Virtual reality (VR) is a promising technology whose application in business increasingly attracts attention in activities, such as business meetings or training, where participants need to share knowledge in a complex context with communicational, social, and management implications. Due to the immersive capabilities, VR may provide new ways of sharing knowledge. However, due to the novelty of this technology, research is needed to evaluate its potential and drawbacks. This study aims to contribute to further understanding of whether and how the introduction of VR in organizations can favour knowledge sharing and collaboration between employees and to evaluate its potential, challenges, and prospects. It is based on a qualitative exercise of technology assessment based on two approaches: technology monitoring and collection of expert opinions using interviews with experts in organisations specialised in VR. Our analysis shows that VR has the potential to break barriers of time and space that may hinder effective human interactions. It can simplify the sharing of notions, data, and, more generally, knowledge, and allow people to connect and communicate as active protagonists. However, adopting VR may require organisational changes and has some limitations. In addition,appropriate knowledge-sharing models for VR applications still need to be developed. Consequently, our paper argues that although much is possible today with VR, further developments are still needed for this technology to reach complete maturity.

INTEGRATED DUAL LEARNING PROGRAMS AT GERMAN UNIVERSITIES

A dual education system stipulates for the combination of education and students’ manufacturing activities. Future employees study at universities where they acquire theoretical knowledge and work at enterprises where they acquire the necessary professional competencies. Germany is a recognized leader in dual education in Europe, where the vocational education system is characterized by a well-developed mentoring institution, practice-oriented training and active participation of business in specialists’ training. The experience of this country is a model for other countries of the European Union and world powers.
 Using the methods of generalization, systematization, analysis of primary documents and expert assessments, the paper presents the analysis and typologization of the integrated dual education programs at German universities. A study of the scientific researches of both, domestic and foreign scholars enables to reveal an insufficiently developed complex theory that would focus specifically on duality in higher education on the one hand and on how to design the integration of academic and professional learning on the other.
 The analysis of scientific papers helped identify the two types of curricula with a high and low degree of integration. The analysis allowed to determine the two types of curricula with a high and low degree of integration. It has been found that different types of curricula, taking into account the duality, can be brought to a full integration. It had also been determined that systems integration can be achieved through educational activities at different levels. This can be either by developing programs designed exclusively for students studying in dual mode or by creating hybrid program structures that support the learning experience with additional elements specifically designed for dual mode.

İstanbul İlinde Pastane ve Fırınlarda Üretilen Glutensiz Ürünlerde Gluten Varlığı

Gluten is a complex protein that forms the basis of bakery products, including pastry products, with its elasticity. Gluten proteins are constituted by gliadin and glutenin. Gliadin, which is in the water-insoluble protein group, is very difficult to digest. Many immune disorders influence a growing number of people in relation to the consumption of wheat flour-based foods. The aim of this study is to determine the status of gluten-free products with the legal limits of the gluten-free products sold in pastry shops and bakeries in Istanbul, Turkey. Ninety samples in total including gluten-free bread, cakes, cookies, snacks, and cereals were collected from various regions of Istanbul in November 2020. The samples obtained were examined by ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) for the presence of gluten. As a result, the presence of gluten was found to be lower than 5 ppm in 61 samples (67.7%), between 5-20 ppm in 8 samples (8.8%), and 20 ppm and above in 21 samples (23%). Within the scope of Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Food Labeling and Consumer Information Number 29960, some foods were inappropriate products which offered to consumption as gluten-free in patisseries and bakeries. It could be thought that risks might be reduced to the maximum extent with hygiene and sanitation training in food businesses, analysis in terms of gluten in raw materials and final products, control of contamination from raw materials, personnel and environment during the production phase, and gluten analysis at critical points.

Effect of Ease of Doing Business and Entrepreneurship Training on Sales Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises in Gboko Metropolis, Benue State, Nigeria

The study examined the effect of ease of doing business and entrepreneurial training on sales growth of SMEs in Gboko metropolis, Benue State, Nigeria. The study employed a survey design and hence made use of a structured questionnaire (Four Likert Scale) designed by the researcher to gather data. Four research questions and four hypotheses guided the study. Reliability (Cronbach Alpha) estimate of 0.941 was obtained for the questionnaire. With the aid of Taro-Yamane formula, two hundred and forty-eight (248) SME Managers operating in different sectoral activities were sampled from 650 registered SMEs in Gboko metropolis. Data were analysed using mean and standard deviation, while four hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Variance at 0.05 level of significance. Findings showed that ease of doing business and entrepreneurship training has a significant effect on sales growth of SMEs in Gboko metropolis of Benue State. The research questions were answered using mean and standard deviation, while hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a 0.05 level of significance. The study found that all the p-values were less than 0.05, indicating that both variables were statistically significant in affecting sales growth of SMEs in Gboko metropolis, Benue State. The study concluded that both variables have a significant effect on sales growth of SMEs in Gboko metropolis of Benue State. The study suggests, among others, that Government should facilitate productive dialogue with private sector investors to remove barriers to doing business by deploying approaches that promote market access across the country.

Sustainability Analysis of Business Community Mentoring and Training Program to Increase the Business Scale of its Members

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have 169 targets, 319 indicators, and 17 goals starting from 2015 to 2030. Of the 17 sustainable development goals, one of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that has received the most attention to date is poverty. This is because all of the SDG’s goals are a form of encouragement and effort to achieve the target of "without poverty" in 2030. Through this research, it is hoped that one can understand the implementation of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in Jakarta. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) can be carried out through the Small Business Community. However, due to the lack of knowledge about global economic developments, assistance is needed. Therefore, the author wants to examine how Sustainability Analysis in the Business Community Program Increases Business Scale. This study used qualitative research methods, data collection was carried out using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use percentages as a basis for interpretation and description to make research results. The results of the study show that the Hands Above business community (TDA Community), JackPreneur, and OKOCE City of Jakarta created mentoring programs to increase business scale. In carrying out the sustainability strategy achieved by MSMEs in Jakarta to maintain and increase business scale, namely in financial governance so that finances remain stable. Business actors carry out promotions in expanding the reach of their businesses so that they can be in demand by the wider community. Business people develop modern business models. The government also encourages business people to develop modern business models, by applying digital technology as a platform in the process of sustaining business community activities to support economic activities in a business continuity strategy.

How Entrepreneurs Achieve Purpose Beyond Profit: The Case of Women Entrepreneurs in Nigeria

This paper investigates how entrepreneurs achieve a sense of purpose or, more precisely, eudaimonic well-being—the experience of a good and meaningful life. We explore this in the context of women entrepreneurs participating in a business training program in Nigeria. Specifically, we conduct mixed-methods research, starting with an inductive qualitative Study 1 of what eudaimonic well-being means for these entrepreneurs. We find that, in the context of their enterprises, eudaimonic well-being implies opportunities to experience self-cultivation, mastery, social recognition, and to benefit others in the community. Unexpectedly, the women in our study also experience eudaimonic well-being related to their households. These initial insights inform theory in Study 2 on how enterprise-related learning (i.e., acquiring and assimilating knowledge regarding the enterprise) and household-related learning (acquiring and assimilating knowledge regarding the household) influence their eudaimonic well-being, itself driven by strong social ties with other women entrepreneurs in the training program. Hypotheses testing through a quantitative study of 484 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria over time corroborates the theory. Our research provides a contextualized perspective of “purpose” in entrepreneurship and how to achieve it: by developing strong social ties, enabling enterprise- and household-related learning, women entrepreneurs in our context initiate greater eudaimonic well-being, beyond improving firm performance. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the training and development model of MSME employees ILBIS YOGYAKARTA to facilitate mapping interests or preferences of employee training and development model styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) in companies or business organizations.Methodology:This research method uses the Development Training Model (MPPK 0.1) tool designed by researchers. The sample used among MSME ILBIS YOGYAKARTA employees amounted to 5 people who will participate in this study. The results will be directly readable using the Microsoft Excel program and then be concluded by researchers regarding the results obtained. Some of the researchers' data should be shared in this article. Therefore, only data used for general importance will be listed in this article.Findings: Employee 1: Visual 73,33% (Like), Auditory 60,00% (Like), Kinesthetic 30,00% (Dislike). Employee 2: Visual 76,67% (Like), Auditory 46,67% (Quite Likes), Kinesthetic 30,00% (Dislike). Employee 3: Visual 76,67% (Like), Auditory 60,00% (Like), Kinesthetic 53,33% (Quite Likes). Virtual small business entrepreneurship opportunities

For small business entrepreneurs in rural areas to survive in the digital contexts, research is essential on the challenges they face and how these challenges can become opportunities for other entrepreneurs. In this study, small business entrepreneurship opportunities at a township in the Eastern Cape were explored. The basis of the study was that entrepreneurship opportunities are embedded in business challenges and entrepreneurs who can provide services or products that address identified challenges can have viable entrepreneurship ventures. The study used two-phased sequential interviews to collect data to address the purpose of the study, which was: to explore the small business entrepreneurship opportunities in the Eastern Cape in the context of digitalisation. In the first interview challenges, faced by 60 entrepreneurs at an identified small business Mall, were recorded, and the most common challenges were noted. After noting the most common challenges and suggestions for possible business opportunities, associated with addressing the challenges, interviews with eight entrepreneurs in the Mall were then undertaken to gather more information. The study found evidence that small business entrepreneurship opportunities existed in areas related to providing essential support services, such as small business education and training, infopreneurship, and digital infrastructure retailing including providing alternative power options, such as solar power for the enterprises. With the high unemployment and high rate of small business failure, the study recommends the effective exploitation of the identified business opportunities to ensure that existing enterprises survive and new ventures also arise.

Support from the government for SMEs in South Africa

This study intended to investigate how the Lephalale Local Municipality's small and medium companies (SMEs) are hampered by a lack of government support. This study also aims to demonstrate how SMEs face difficulties in surviving as a result of problems in the business environment. Consequently, the government of South Africa has programs to assist SMEs. The growth of SMEs is important for advancing innovation, wealth distribution, and employment. The majority of SMEs launch and maintain their businesses with their own money. By using a qualitative research approach and semi-structured in-person, phone, and email interviews to collect data, the goals of this study were met. There were 318 registered SMEs in the area. Using purposive sampling methods, data from operational enterprises with a lifespan of 0 to 5 years were gathered. Atlas TI 8 was used to evaluate the data. The primary conclusions of this study show that (i) small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) find it difficult to maintain their operations because they lack access to capital and business equipment. This fails if SMEs are not given the proper support. Because they lack the resources to compete with big companies, SMEs find it challenging. (ii) Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should think about enrolling in bookkeeping training and sending their staff to business training in order to network for the survival of the company. In order to assist SMEs in fulfilling the requirements for maintaining their enterprises, this study advises the government to examine present standards. With the right assistance, SMEs can create business plans and maintain operations, which will result in the creation of jobs, particularly for local communities. The government ought to think about mentoring and overseeing sponsored SMEs.

Lalu Sekejap Enterprise

Encik Ben and Encik Cha embarked on a humble venture called Lalu Sekejap Enterprise in 1990, offering general maintenance services. While Encik Ben and Encik Cha faced challenges due to their lack of business expertise, they persisted in their commitment to integrity. They overcame compliance issues and rebuilt their business, focusing on delivering high-quality services. Their dedication resonated with like-minded clients, and they established a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Years later, Encik Ben and Encik Cha attended a digital business training program that opened their eyes to the potential of digitalization in the maintenance industry. Recognizing the need to ensure the continuity and growth of their business, they started grooming their children and loyal employees to take over key responsibilities. With a strategic focus on digital transformation, Lalu Sekejap Enterprise integrated digital tools and platforms into their operations, enhancing efficiency and expanding their customer base. The business thrived, driven by a new generation of leaders who shared Encik Ben and Encik Cha's commitment to quality service and community well-being.

Training on Business Planning Using Business Canvas Models

The business world is expanding in Indonesia right now, especially among millennials and start-ups in this case. They must, however, have a mature and well-defined corporate plan because of the intense rivalry and challenging obstacles they encounter. Because the Business Model Canvas can summarize a business strategy on a dialog box page with 9 items, it is believed to be simple, comprehensive, and effective for business planning. The purpose of this service project is to offer BMC model-based business advice and training to Taruna Bakti Bandung Senior High School students. Counseling methods included the lecture style and focus group discussions (FGD). As a result of their community service projects, students are able to develop company ideas using the BMC model.

Negotiation Training in Business and Management: A Systematic Exploration of the Previous Works

The demand for negotiation training has grown steadily, driven by the need to thrive in an ever-changing business landscape. Numerous studies have been conducted to identify effective approaches to negotiation training. However, the pace of development in negotiation training has not kept up with the increasing demand. This research aims to shed light on current trends in negotiation training research to identify gaps that can be addressed through further investigation. In order to explore this topic, a comprehensive examination was conducted using the Scopus database, resulting in the selection of 39 journal articles for further analysis. The findings of this review reveal several gaps in the existing literature, particularly concerning the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in negotiation training. Furthermore, the review highlights a tendency for negotiation training to remain static, lacking the ability to capture and provide feedback on the dynamic changes during the negotiation process.
