Utilization of NTT-Weave Waste for Pastors to Improve Community Economy in Kupang Regency

The remains of NTT woven fabrics are generally thrown away and not utilized by the community in Kupang Regency. Reusing these remains into various accessories has many uses, which shows that the remains can play a good role if managed in products with a selling value. The purpose of this community service is to improve the skills of pastors in utilizing waste cloth into accessories that have high selling value so that they can pass on this knowledge to the congregation, hoping to improve the economy of the community in Kupang Regency. This service method uses community-based research (CBR) by the service team and partners. The team carried out PKM activities according to the predetermined schedule: August 31 - September 1, 2023. The results of community service activities obtained through activity utilization sheets by distributing questionnaires containing 14 statements to 15 participants showed that 13 participants stated that they were very satisfied with this activity, 86.7%, and two other participants chose the satisfied category with a percentage of 13.3%. This activity is considered very beneficial for pastors in the East Kupang Classis. It is hoped that there will be more in-depth training related to making earrings with the latest models and characteristics so that they can be registered with HKI and need to be continued with business management training.

Imperatives of Small-Scale Businesses and Employment Generation in Uyo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom state

The study investigated the relationship between small scale enterprises and employments generation in Uyo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. A cross-sectional survey research method was adopted for the study. A sample of 361 respondents was drawn from the population of 3725 using Taro Yamane’s scientific sampling formula. For the objectives of the study to be achieved, three hypotheses were formulated and tested. The study utilized structured questionnaire as a major instrument for data collection. 361 questionnaire were distributed and 334 were returned in useable form. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage and regression. The results of the regression analysis indicated positive relationship between the variables of small scale enterprises and employment generation in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. It was recommended that; there should be simplified loan application processes and reduced collateral requirements for small scale enterprises to encourage access to funding, there should be government policies that promote and ensure regular maintenance of existing infrastructure to prevent deterioration and reduce disruptions to business operations, and there should be development of entrepreneurship and business management training programs tailored for small scale enterprise owners, covering essential skills like book-keeping, marketing and customer service.

Empowering Communities through Akhuwat Foundation's Microfinance Initiative in Bhakkar, Punjab

Poverty is a global problem with several facets that affect millions of people worldwide. This study investigates the role of microfinance, mostly through the Akhuwat Foundation, in reducing poverty in the undeveloped district of Bhakkar, South Punjab, Pakistan. Akhuwat Foundation provides small loans to the needy to raise them out of poverty. This qualitative study takes an interpretive social science method, combining a meta-analysis of relevant literature with in-depth interviews of stakeholders using open-ended questions. According to the data, recipients primarily use these loans to start businesses, which leads to increased income and, as a result, poverty alleviation. However, limited resources limit the extent of lending, demanding increased loan-giving capacity to reach more people in need. Moreover, respondents require further training in business management or entrepreneurial capacities, which is not addressed by microfinance institutions such as Akhuwat Foundation before loan acceptance. Pre-loan training is required for optimum use of funds for business purposes, which limits microfinance's potential influence on poverty alleviation.

Towards an Inclusive Village: Literacy and Education for People with Disabilities Through the Development of Grape Planting Techniques (Vitis Vinifera L) Taman Ayu Village

People with disabilities are identical to people who are disabled, weak, stupid and backward. People with disabilities are no longer seen as problematic people, by providing equal access and being inclusive for everyone in their society (168 169). Equal roles for people with disabilities are an important issue for the government. Recognition of equal rights for groups with disabilities, both in terms of education, employment opportunities and others. Community service activities carried out by Herdiana, et al. in Taman Ayu village, in 2023 became the main basis for empowering people with disabilities and knowledge for people with disabilities, especially in the equality garden by involving groups with disabilities. Taman Ayu Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) in the "Equality Garden" group consisting of 15 people consisting of people with hearing and speech impairments which was carried out in June-December 2024 with the community service implementation team being a collaboration of 3 fields of science, namely agribusiness, accounting and agroecotechnology and involving 3 students from different study programs (fields of science). The purpose of this activity is to provide literacy and education about grape cultivation techniques, improve grape cultivation technique skills, financial management in business through ongoing training and mentoring. The forms of activities include literacy counseling and education for people with disabilities in grape cultivation techniques (Vitis Vinifera L), business management training and financial recording management, mentoring and coaching in marketing using digital marketing (marketplace: Facebook, Shopie, Tokopedia) and mentoring in submitting business legality. The hope of this activity is that groups with disabilities have skills in the field of grape cultivation, skills in management and financial recording of businesses so that from this activity a new business can be formed so that the goal of this activity is the independence of the disabled group's business. Collaboration between the service team (academics) and the village in the form of ongoing mentoring and coaching will be carried out until they have an independent business

Pelatihan Manajemen Usaha untuk Peningkatan Kapasitas Internal Pengusaha Perempuan

Aisyiyah is a social, religious and community organization that was founded in 1917. One of its programs is the economic sector. The Aisyiyah Regional Leadership Economic and Employment Council (MEK PDA) of Bantul Regency has implemented the 'Aisyiyah Entrepreneurial School (SWA) program which aims to provide training to the people of Bantul regarding entrepreneurship so as to build a creative economic atmosphere. Since 2019, these SWA alumni have developed their businesses as a group in various businesses in the community in the Aisyiyah Entrepreneurs Association (IPAS), or currently called the Aisyiyah Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association (ISWARA). This Business Management Training Program aims to increase the internal capacity of ISWARA member female entrepreneurs. It was determined that 30 people (out of a total of 70 active members) were invited to take part in the training series. Business management training is designed as a complete package of material, including: financial management, business promotion in the digital era, teamwork, and strengthening business actuating. The training was carried out by a team of instructors from the UII Community Service Institute (lecturers from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Business and Economics, UII). The results of the training pretest and post-test showed significant progress; namely an average increase of 1.81 (close to a score of 2.0); in addition to motivation and enthusiasm to develop the business further through clever methods, such as neater finances, promotions using digital media, solid teamwork, and business resilience that is developed continuously.

Structured Planning for Strengthening Marketing and Distribution Capacity of Cilembu Sweet Potato Products

The method of implementing this community service is systematically designed to overcome the problems faced by the target partner, Ma Utik, in developing the Cilembu yam industry and its processed products. The preparation and planning stages as well as socialization and initial training are the main focuses in this program. The preparation stage begins with an initial survey to identify partner needs related to marketing, business management, distribution network development, and product innovation. A service team consisting of experts in economics, management, agribusiness, and informatics was formed with a division of tasks according to competence. A structured work plan includes a schedule of activities, implementation methods, and indicators of success, as well as careful management of budgets and resources. Socialization and training materials were developed based on partner needs to ensure in-depth understanding and mastery of relevant skills. The socialization phase begins with an initial meeting to introduce the program's objectives, benefits and solutions to partners, while accommodating their inputs. Initial training was conducted to provide partners with a foundation of knowledge and skills. Marketing strategy training covers the use of social media, digital marketing, branding, and promotion. Business management training covers business planning, financial management, and strategic decision-making using business management software. Distribution network development training includes negotiating and building relationships with distributors, as well as utilizing communication technology. Product innovation training includes identification of market trends and development of new products using market research technology. Through this approach, it is expected that partners can understand the program objectives and acquire the necessary skills to improve their competitiveness. With effective coordination between the service team, community partners, and supporting institutions, this program can run smoothly and have a significant impact. The implementation of a digital marketing application specifically for Cilembu yam products is one of the main results that is expected to increase product visibility, facilitate customer access, strengthen branding, and increase interaction with customers and business partners

Pendampingan Rumah Produksi Telur Asin Pak Jaini Desa Masangan Kulon, Kecamatan Sukodono, Kabupaten Sidoarjo

The mentoring program for Pak Jaini's salted egg production house in Masangankulon Village, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency is an initiative to improve the quality and capacity of local production. This activity aims to assist Mr Jaini in developing his business through the application of simple technology, business management training, and effective marketing strategies. The methods used in the mentoring programme include observation, interviews, and hands-on training in the field. The results of this mentoring programme showed significant improvements in product quality, production efficiency, and sales. Thus, this programme is expected to make a positive contribution to the local economy and become a model for other small and medium enterprises in the region

Women empowerment through the home palm sugar industry in Hariang village, Sobang district, Lebak Regency in Banten Indonesia

Palm sugar is a home industry product that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Hariang village of Indonesia. Besides its unique characteristics, palm sugar is also an icon of an area, because not all regions have palm resources. Most of the palm sugar business actors, who are generally women, still have limitations, especially in product innovation. As a result, this home industry seems stagnant. Empowering women in the palm sugar home industry in Hariang village, Sobang District, Lebak Regency to develop the palm sugar home industry, strengthens the building of capacity of human resources. The objectives of this study were to (1) increase the capacity of palm sugar craftsmen in Hariang village, (2) increase business capacity in production and marketing management, (3) strengthen business group institutions (BGI) by utilizing infrastructure and production technology, to improve the product marketing function, and (4) develop an integrated home industry business system, with the support of local resources. The research was conducted at Hariang village, Sobang District, Lebak Regency in Banten Indonesia. The Miles and Huberman models for the analysis of qualitative data were adopted for this study from data collection, data reduction, data presentation to conclusion/verification. The realization of human resource competence strengthening activities is carried out by changing the mindset of women craftsmen through a broader network of participatory training by strengthening production management and marketing capabilities. The results of this study showed the need for the following from implementing the empowerment model (1) analyzing the needs of business groups, (2) creating training modules and conducting participatory business management training, (3) conducting technical guidance on production and marketing management, (4) strengthening institutions oriented towards the collective business community (socio-business), (5) benchmarking and partnership business, and (6) monitoring and evaluating the implementation and follow-up of assistance. In implementing the strategy to strengthen human resource capacity, women's business groups must be oriented towards producing premium quality home industry products capable of sustainable product innovation, in supporting business independence and building partnerships. Implementation of Training Strategies, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Layer Chicken

This article explores the implementation of financial management, human resource management (HRM), and business management training strategies in the context of layer chicken farming in Indonesia. Using a case study method, this research investigates best practices and challenges faced in implementing these strategies. The findings indicate that training in financial management, HRM, and business management significantly enhances operational efficiency and profitability of layer chicken farming businesses. However, the implementation of these strategies also encounters several obstacles such as limited resources, resistance to change, and a lack of understanding of the importance of effective management. This article provides valuable insights for layer chicken farming business owners and other stakeholders to strengthen management practices in the poultry industry. Further steps are also suggested to address the challenges encountered in implementing these strategies.

Analyzing the Impact of PT AMMAN's Community Development and Empowerment Program on Brand Image

The Community Development and Empowerment Program is a government initiative aimed at enhancing the human development index and fostering economic growth within communities neighboring the mine, encompassing post-mining implementation. This program is intricately linked to the company's reputation, observable through the effective execution of activities to attain the program's objectives. PT AMMAN, a mining enterprise, has actively engaged in implementing such a program. This study endeavors to evaluate the impact of PT AMMAN's Community Development and Empowerment Program on its corporate image. Employing a questionnaire, this research was conducted among beneficiaries in West Sumbawa Regency. The collected data underwent validation, reliability, and normality tests using SPSS software. Factor analysis was then performed to identify the elements influencing PT AMMAN's corporate image. The results indicate that the Community Development and Empowerment Program significantly contributes to the company's image, particularly in the economic sector. Key aspects include MSME training and mentorship programs, business and financial management training, and infrastructure development. Notably, the Community Development and Empowerment Program garnered highly positive impressions from beneficiaries, with an exceptional rating of 86.93%.

TRAINING IN MANAGEMENT SCIENCES AS A COMPLEMENT FOR PROFESSIONALS IN HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCES IN COSTA RICA

Today, rapid, and continuous business growth requires employees who have a deep understanding of the market and can make timely decisions, so it is necessary for employees to receive specific training for this. The objective of this article is to determine the level of training in business administration and management that specialists in human movement sciences have in Costa Rica. A quantitative investigation was carried out in which 108 individuals related to the sciences of human movement participated, who completed the Training Needs Questionnaire. The results of the research show that the participants mostly have little training in entrepreneurship and administration, but they recognize their interest in receiving training in this area.

Business Management's Inclusion in the Dental Curriculum: The Opinion of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital's Postgraduates and Dental Graduates

Background: The landscape of dental education has historically emphasized clinical expertise and patient care. However, the evolving healthcare environment necessitates a broader skill set for dental professionals, including business management capabilities. The integration of business management components into the dental curriculum has emerged as a pivotal area of focus, reflecting the need for dental practitioners to navigate the complexities of establishing and managing successful dental practices. Objective: This study aimed to explore the opinions of postgraduates and dental graduates from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital regarding the inclusion of business management in the dental curriculum, assessing their perceptions of its necessity and impact on their professional readiness. Methods: A cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was conducted from December 2023 to January 2024 at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select participants, including final year graduates, house officers, and postgraduate trainees, with a total of 183 respondents. The questionnaire, developed after a comprehensive literature review, comprised close-ended questions divided into three sections: demographic information, knowledge regarding opening and registration of new dental setups, and perceptions regarding business management. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Results: The mean age of participants was 28.44±6.03 years, with a predominance of female respondents (72.1%). A significant proportion of participants (67.2%) were only slightly aware of the requirements for setting up a dental practice, and 50.8% were not aware at all of the procedure to register their practice in Pakistan. Regarding the inclusion of dental business management in the curriculum, 59% strongly agreed, and 31.1% agreed. Financial and business management skills were identified as primary barriers to starting a new dental practice. Conclusion: The findings highlight a strong consensus among dental professionals at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on the need for integrating business management training into the dental curriculum. Such integration is crucial for preparing graduates to meet the challenges of modern dental practice, underscoring the importance of a comprehensive educational approach that includes both clinical and business management skills.

Business Management Training in Improving Culinary Msme Enterprises

The number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is a large part of the economic implementation in totality. However, the growth of MSMEs related to technological advances is still not in line with expectations. The proportion of MSMEs that use online sales is still low. This is caused by many MSMEs who do not understand the technical procedures for online sales. The purpose of this activity is to develop MSME expertise in universal management, digital marketing and financial recording. The development and improvement carried out is in the form of developing skills in making marketing planning, digital marketing and understanding financial records so that they can be useful in developing businesses that will be run in the future. The training participants were 34 micro-enterprises, most of which were culinary businesses that were given the management training they needed. The result obtained from this activity is the occurrence of culinary fostered partners who are more advanced in managing and selling products online.

Upaya Peningkatan Perekonomian Anak Marjinal Lembaga PPAP Seroja Surakarta Melalui Pelatihan Kewirausahaan Produk Digital

Marginalized children at the Seroja Surakarta Women's and Marginalized Children's Empowerment Institution (PPAP) are motivated by various factors, including poverty, difficulty in getting work, no longer having parents or poor people, not having a place to live, and low education. Seeing these problems, what marginalized children need is how they can gain prosperity in life now and in the future, especially in the economic aspect. Therefore, the Slamet Riyadi University PKM Team is carrying out Digital Product Entrepreneurship training activities which are expected to help improve the skills and economy of marginalized children at the PPAP Seroja Surakarta Institute. In implementing the training, marginalized children will be taught how to make digital products, and business management, and marketing these digital products. The implementation methods for this activity include, in the first stage, providing material regarding digital product entrepreneurship, and making digital products, printed invitations. The second stage is creating digital products such as digital invitations, pamphlets, commercial posters and banners. The third stage is creating digital products, product promotional videos, business management training, and marketing of digital products that have been created. And the fourth stage is evaluating the activities that have been carried out.

Pelatihan Pembuatan Website Sederhana di SMA Assaadah Pesantren Assaadah Puri Serpong Tanggerang Selatan

Website training can be one of the trainings that can be developed by students because with this training students have promising competency advantages. If students become graduate of school, they can later develop the website. If in the Islamic boarding school environment the graduate of school are spread across various regions and are trying in various fields, of course they need a website as a means of promotion. Moreover, now that many new business fields are being built, the need to create websites for promotion is increasing. However, sometimes the website training that is carried out does not develop as expected. The business being run is stagnant and even tends to decline. This is due to several things, namely technical aspects and management aspects. Partners in this PKM activity are SMA Assaadah Puri Serpong within the Assaadah Islamic Boarding School environment. Based on the results of observations and discussions with partners, there are several problems faced in the process of creating websites, databases, computer equipment, website design, execution processes and marketing websites that will be promoted to other parties. The absence of adequate technical knowledge of website training means that website training is carried out without proper planning and supervision. Another problem is that currently website hosting costs are expensive, which interferes with the website launching process. The solutions in this PKM activity are as follows: 1. Technical aspects: In accordance with the problems faced by partners, the solutions include: a. create a website creation material module guide. b. Selecting a computer with adequate specifications. c. by using applications that are simpler than other applications, namely HTML websites, PHP databases, WordPress hosting. 2. Management aspect: The solution is to provide business management training, including planning and control, both in the production and marketing aspects of a website that is ready to be launched.

Pemberdayaan UMKM Kelapa Gongseng Aceh Melalui Pemasaran Berbasis Digital Dalam Upaya Menembus Pasar Global

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the primary drivers of the Indonesian economy, as a result if the MSME sector is disrupted, the national economy could also be eroded. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2021 the number of MSMEs will reach 65.46 million units. Maju Sejahtera is an MSME in Panjang Mesjid Village, Panjang Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province which operates in the food service sector producing gongseng coconut. This group has been running its business since 2019 and produces around 30-50 kg of gongseng coconut every week with a market selling price of around 50 thousand per kilogram. This fishing business group has 5 freelance workers and has assets of around 24 million rupiah. However, recently the production and sales of gongseng coconut have decreased, this is due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world, so it indirectly affects the demand for gongseng coconut. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, MSME Maju Sejahtera had an obstacle in running a business in the field of product marketing, the system that had been used was still traditional, namely marketing to local traders or the products were taken by collectors, then MSME Maju Sejahtera had no business management or financial management, during This often causes problems in financial management, namely business finances are often combined with family finances so it is very difficult to see profits in the business. The aim of this service activity is to increase partners' knowledge in business management and digital marketing. The implementation method is to provide business management training and direct digital sales practice through marketplaces and social media. The result of this activity is an increase in partners' knowledge about business management and better digital marketing.

Pendampingan Ekonomi Masyarakat Difabel Kabupaten Jepara Pasca Pandemi Covid 19

The Economic Downturn in general has an impact on vulnerable communities. One of those affected by the pandemic storm is the disabled in Jepara Regency. PPDI (Indonesian Association of Persons with Disabilities) Jepara Regency is one of eleven disabled communities in Jepara that focuses on the microeconomic sector. The method used in this service is the ABCD (Asset Bassed Community Development) method. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance and training in HR management, business management and entrepreneurship training, independent business assistance and assist government and private banks in accessing capital and modifying the tools needed to support their business, providing assistance and training on online sales promotion and marketing management both direct and online sales. The results of this service are that partners can carry out their business by applying management knowledge, partners with disabilities have confidence in carrying out their business and partners can carry out their business by promoting their business through online and offline mechanisms and there is the opportunity to partner with a private bank, namely BMT Arta Abadi Jepara and get access to productive monitoring from Baznas Jepara Regency

Chip Product Development Based on Business Management and Creativity Training in Magelang District

This activity aims to overcome the problems faced by partners where these problems make it difficult for partners to develop. The culinary chip industry is one of the businesses owned by the residents of Wonogiri Lor Hamlet, Kapuhan Village, Sawangan District, the majority of the population of Wonogiri Lor Village are farmers. As for the business partner sector itself, it is a culinary industry in the form of various chips which usually consist of mushroom, intestine, bitter melon, spinach, melinjo chips, and so on. Based on information extracted from business owners, there are at least four problems faced by partners, namely: lack of knowledge about management, especially marketing management, product packaging that usually only uses ordinary plastic, no business licensing, and efforts to increase revenue. The aspect of capital which has been an important problem for a business entity, in this case partners, is also constrained regarding capital because the capital used by partners is their own capital so they have not received capital support from the village or from the district government. In overcoming these problems, we try to provide solutions by targeting the Human Resources (HR) aspect. HR is one of the important aspects in an organization because it is HR that runs other aspects of an organization. We are trying to strengthen the human resources of partner organizations by providing several programs such as providing business management training, marketing training for chips culinary business partners to strengthen human resources and marketing chips for Mrs. Ana's industrial business.

Key Teaching Competencies for Success in Family Businesses: a Strategic Approach in Higher Education

Purpose: The main objective of the study is to develop essential teaching skills for the successful management of family businesses, proposing a strategic teaching plan that covers everything from student training to the creation and effective management of these companies, contributing to economic growth and meeting social demands. Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework highlights the importance of preparing students to manage family businesses, focusing on specialized instructors. It underlines the crucial role of family businesses in economic growth and argues that proper training can reduce failure rates in this type of business. Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative and qualitative methodology was used, with a descriptive-correlational approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The research was carried out in Mexican universities with a sample of 180 professors. Data collection included surveys and interviews, assessing key competencies such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and financial management. Findings: The results indicate that, according to the teachers surveyed, the most relevant competencies for successful family business management include communication skills, leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, financial management, human resources, marketing, sales, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The research highlights the importance of specialized training and the need to align family and business interests. Research, Practical & Social Implications: It is suggested the implementation of a strategic educational program in higher education that covers from training to the management of family businesses, adapting to the changing demands of society and the business environment. Originality/Value: The study addresses a relevant issue and proposes concrete measures to improve training in entrepreneurship and family business management in the academic field. It proposes a comprehensive strategic teaching plan, establishing the necessary competencies for teachers and providing specific guidance towards the creation and management of family businesses.

Optimalisasi Bank Sampah Berbasis Pemberdayaan Perempuan di Desa Gunung Sari

Gunung Sari Village is one of the villages that is developing a tourist village. Environmental cleanliness is certainly one of the priority problems that must be resolved by the village government. At the end of 2022, the Mandiri Women's Waste Bank KSM, Gunung Sari Village, was formed, consisting of mothers receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH), currently numbering 27 people. However, until now the Mandiri Women's Waste Bank KSM has not been running optimally because only a small portion of the community are members. Carrying out this activity is not only to maintain the cleanliness of the village environment but can also provide economic benefits for the community. The implementation of this service supports government programs related to the green economy where the implementation of this activity aims to empower and improve community welfare through the use of plastic waste/waste. The problems experienced by partners are related to the production and management fields, namely regarding the availability of waste bank tools, organizational management, business management and membership issues. This activity will focus on efforts to optimize village waste banks by 1) providing waste bank infrastructure, 2) organizational and business management training, 3) large-scale outreach regarding village waste banks
