An Integration of Business Processes and Information Management for Improving the Efficiency and Reliability of Infrastructure

The construction industry has increasingly adopted digital construction processes and technologies, fueled in part by governmental mandates aimed at modernizing construction workflows. While these advancements promise efficiency across different phases of a project, the efficacy of the digitally generated information often remains contingent on its alignment with the specific information exchange requirements of individual organizations. Current efforts to establish interoperable data schemas have made strides, yet challenges persist, particularly when tailoring information to meet the unique needs of organizations responsible for the operation and management of built assets. This paper dissects the outcomes of standard digital construction processes applied to a linear infrastructure project, highlighting observed shortcomings such as information overload and the difficulty of adapting the information for asset management needs. Building upon these findings, this paper introduces a framework aimed at streamlining the production of essential project information. This framework was developed through a series of expert workshops and subsequently tested on a separate infrastructure project, offering insights into its potential benefits and limitations.

Analisis Pengelolaan Arsip Digital Pada PT Anugrah Alam Karunia Abadi

The purpose of this research is to determine digital archive management which includes digital archive management facilities and to determine the positive impact of digital archive management for companies.This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by describing and analyzing problems related to digital archive management. Primary and secondary data form the basis of qualitative research. Primary data for this research was obtained through documentation, observation, interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data was obtained from books, previous research and related articles.. From the results of this research, it can be seen that PT Anugrah Alam Karunia Abadi has not implemented digital archive management. However, the company is already discussing making a transition to digital archive management. In a comparison between the two methods, manual archives and digital archives, digital archive management increases the ease and speed of the sending, sharing and searching process. This also allows agencies to save physical storage space while providing more efficient access to users. Thus, this research shows that digital archive management can be beneficial for companies, such as improving operational efficiency and resource management. In the case of PT Anugrah Alam Karunia Abadi, implementing digital archive management can be a solution to increase the effectiveness of business processes and information management, and as a result, the company is expected to be able to take appropriate actions to implement digital archive management.

WEB-BASED LPG DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM AT PT BOY BAGUS WINDI

PT Boy Bagus Windi is one of the LPG distributors in the Langkat Regency. Because Microsoft Excel is still used to hold distribution data, financial data, sales and purchase data, and personnel data, PT. Boy Bagus Windi faces a number of difficulties managing his data. The problem that businesses run into is that when they need to look for data, it takes a while since they have to access each folder or page in Microsoft Excel individually. Due to the current rapid growth of information technology, many businesspeople conduct their everyday activities online. In order to administer its business management information system, a company is compelled to adopt a web-based information system. Therefore, PT. Web-based Boy Bagus Windi developed a management information system. This system is intended to make it simpler for businesses to search data and handle human, financial, and products data management in one web for a more streamlined and orderly arrangement.
 

Research on Business Management information System under the background of Big data technology

In the rapid development of social economy and science and technology, the integration of network technology and various industries is becoming more and more close, which is both an opportunity and a challenge for the construction and innovation of business administration. Since big data itself has the characteristics of high speed, diversity and large quantity, it can effectively solve the problems encountered in business management, scientifically grasp the opportunities brought by big data for business management informatization, summarize and analyze the basic laws and main trends of market development, and then monitor abnormal conditions in data mining. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the current state and prospects for the use of innovative technologies for business information management to optimize business processes. The authors analyzed, systematized and generalized scientific works of many scholars, who consider the components of business process management, innovative methods of optimizing business management, which a significant number of companies are still forced to resort to. For a successful optimization, the head of the company needs to find a competent specialist who is familiar with all the complexities of optimization, who is directly participating in the process and personally controls all the actions of the employees involved. Innovative technologies make a fundamental contribution to the transformation of business process structures, business process changes, and modeling according to environmental requirements. Among them, in order to optimize business processes, special attention is paid to the technology of benchmarking the business processes. Benchmarking is an extremely useful tool, especially when it is necessary to review the internal performance of the company and identify new priorities. It is worth remembering that foreign investment also plays an important role in the optimization system. It is determined that the development of innovative technologies and the aggravation of competition require enterprises to effectively manage their processes, provide high-quality products or services and meet the needs of customers. The use of business process management systems can help companies achieve higher efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, improve product or service quality, and improve customer satisfaction. It is worth understanding that the use of innovative technologies should be synchronized with the strategic planning and budget system of the enterprise. It is necessary to create an effective mechanism for managing business processes, taking into account the possibilities and limitations of resources, so that the enterprise can reach a new level of quality. In the future, it is necessary to consider the issue of investment support for the introduction of innovative technologies in the management of business processes of the enterprise.

Management Information System for Micro Business Empowerment (SIMPUM) Karawang Regency

Micro, small business is one of the businesses that can empower the community in the field of small and micro businesses, but along with the growing number of SMEs in Karawang Regency, support is needed so that business actors can develop the businesses they run, it is hoped that the business actors will not be too immediately to fulfill everyday life. For this reason, the Karawang Regency Government needs to obtain business information that is run by business actors. The author's goal in conducting this research is to make an application for a management information system for empowering micro-enterprises in Karawang Regency. The system development method used is the waterfall method to create a visual design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). With this system, it is hoped that it will be able to publish micro business profile information along with the products or services sold by business actors, so that it can help inform the through online media to the wider community, with the hope of increasing turnover and income and also Making a micro business management information system application will make it easier data management of micro business actors in Karawang Regency which can be used to determine policies for stakeholders.

The Role of Cognitive Science and Big Data Technology in the Design of Business Information Management Systems

With the surge in the amount of data in the internal and external environment, the collection, analysis, processing, and storage of the increasing data sources and data volume, as well as the problems of big data management, are the current situation and dilemmas of data management faced by enterprises today. Cognitive science and big data technology can provide good auxiliary support for enterprise management decision-making. This study takes the business information management of cold chain logistics enterprises as an example, aiming at the characteristics of business intelligence data in real applications, based on cognitive science and big data technology, from low-cost and high-performance storage, security management, and big data analysis. This paper is mainly through the research of big data processing theory and key technologies. Based on analyzing the logistics industry’s data access rules and characteristics, this study proposes a hot data prediction model for multilayer hybrid storage systems. It is verified that the prediction model has good accuracy, robustness, and universality. For the application scenario of multitenant distributed data access, a data transparent security management model is proposed. Simulation experiments show that this method can realize data security management when the performance loss is controlled within an acceptable range. Based on the real-time computing technology of massive data, the label optimization scheme of collaborative filtering and reinforcement learning is used to realize the logistics distribution recommendation model and to solve the accuracy and real-time problems of logistics service distribution analysis.

Development Countermeasures of Business Management Informatization Based on Machine Learning Algorithm

Business management is an important part of social service and governance. With the development of economy and technology, the pressure on enterprises to participate in the market competition is gradually increasing. Therefore, it is particularly important to establish an information-based business management system. However, there are still many problems in the process of informatization development of enterprise business management, which seriously restricts the comprehensive development of enterprises. On the one hand, the existing business management information system lacks effective security and supervision links. On the other hand, there is a lack of professional information technology personnel within the enterprise. Machine learning is a discipline that specializes in how to simulate human learning behavior, and it can continuously learn new knowledge structures to make itself progress and develop. The development of enterprise business management informatization is consistent with the development direction of machine learning itself. Therefore, this paper proposes a business management informatization construction method based on a machine learning algorithm, which aims to further promote the development of enterprises in the direction of informatization and modernization and improve the informatization level of enterprises. Experiments show that with the support of machine learning technology, the level of enterprise business management informatization can reach 82.31%, fully indicating that machine learning can help enterprises innovate management models and improve the level of information management of enterprises.

Development of Electronic Business Management Information System At Trinita Elektro Manado Store

The purpose of the study was to determine the results of the development of an electronic business management information system and to produce a valid, practical, and efficient electronic business management management information system at the Trinita Elektro Store. The type of research used is research and development or Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall development model whose research and development steps consist of data collection and initial planning, product development (initial product), product validation, product revision. , product trial 1, product revision 2, product trial 2 and (8) final product (dissemination and implementation). The subjects in this study were business owners, technicians, cashiers, and customers at the Trinita Elektro Store. Data collection techniques using literature studies, interviews and questionnaires / questionnaires. The instruments used are expert validation sheets and product trial questionnaires. While the data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. Relating Sustainable Business Development Practices and Information Management in Promoting Digital Green Innovation: Evidence From China.

Digital green innovations are being implemented in manufacturing to help organizations achieve sustainability by adopting sustainable development practices (SDPC). However, little is known about the impact of the information management process (IMP) on organizations’ digital green innovation. To address this gap, we devised a multidimensional framework based on the resource-based view (RBV) theory that serves as a basis for sculpting how the IMP captured and sustained organizational digital green innovation via SDPCs. 533 respondents from big and medium-sized manufacturing businesses in China were surveyed, and data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The study makes numerous significant findings. Firstly, the SDPC’s dimensions (environment, economic, and social) are considerably improved by the IMP’ dimensions (acquisition, dissemination, and application). Secondly, SDPC’s dimensions are critical for attaining organizations’ digital green innovation. Thirdly, SDPCs’ implementation mediates the linkage between the IMP and organizations’ digital green innovation. Our findings suggest that investing in and implementing cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices are critical for long-term success. Still, soft issues, such as organizational information management, are equally critical in today’s information-based economy. Finally, in light of the study findings, we present theoretical and managerial implications.

Digitalization Of Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil: How Does Survival In Covid-19 Pandemic?

Covid-19 pandemic, economic activities have limitations and obstacles, including BMT trying and finding out scheme alternatives to survive in providing services. This study aims to find out the efforts of BMT to survive the Covid-19 pandemic.This study used a literature review with a descriptive approach and triangulation analysis techniques. The results showed characteristics of BMT in middle society still exist even in times of crisis. The level of public confidence in BMT providing alternative financing. Government policies have a focus on saving Islamic financial institutions. The BMT development policies prioritize liquidity, monitor DPK liquidity, and control lending or financing. This is an effort for BMT to survive in supporting liquidity, relaxation, and social safety nets. Also a task force for handling the impact of Covid-19 in the Islamic microfinance sector, guaranteeing deposits for microfinance institutions, effective supervision and reporting, and a digital business ecosystem through the human touch and technology. Thus, BMT's efforts survive by digital business application and information technology, government support, and management internalization.

 The goal of this research was to look at the effect of technology on business strategy performance in Mogadishu, Somalia. The study focused on the impact of communication technologies on business strategy performance in Mogadishu, Somalia, the impact of digital marketing technologies on business strategy performance in Mogadishu, Somalia, and the significance of business information management technologies on business strategy performance in Mogadishu, Somalia. This study was conducted among a pre-selected group of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). The intended audience consisted of business employees and general managers. Staff and general managers were chosen based on their knowledge and expertise in the roles of technology in the attainment of business goals in their respective regions. The study's sample size was 92 respondents from the target population. This is due to the nature of the data to be created, which involves the employment of numerous methodologies to gain a better knowledge of the study issue under consideration. According to Amin, the method is also well-known for enhancing validity and reliability while decreasing biases (2012). Sloven's algorithm was used to estimate the sample size of genuine respondents. To collect data, self-administered questionnaires were used, and these were sent to employees and general managers for replies. This study found that communication technologies have a significant impact on the success of business strategies at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Mogadishu, Somalia, although digital marketing and business information management technologies had a minor impact. Business strategy and technology are tightly connected. A business strategy cannot be implemented if a firm lacks technology.
 Even firms that have successfully linked business and technology strategies fail to recognize the l ink between effective intellectual capital strategy and both business and technology strategies, so
 the researcher advised companies to focus on technology as a core competence and continue to b enefit from its various strategies such as communication strategies and digital marketing strategie s.
 
 

Customer relationship management (CRM) and Innovation: A qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) in the search for improvements on the firm performance in winery sector

The main objective of modern Information Technology (IT) is to convert the transactional data derived from productive activity into business management information. It should, therefore, provide the Business Decision Makers (BDM) elaborate, meaningful and essential information for decision making. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is one of the IT areas that has grown the most in interest and development during recent decades, due to the potential that CRM offers its users to have a global vision of their clients and to put them at the center of their business efforts. Given the potential that the CRM technological solution offers to successful companies in the business world, this study determined the necessary and sufficient conditions to obtain good firm performance (the outcome) when CRM is implemented and used in a company. For this purpose, the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) methodology was used. The empirical test was carried out in the sector of wine production and distribution in Spain.

A Qualitative Analysis of the Impediments to Business Innovation and Information Management in Nigeria: A Policy Stance

The ability of the Nigerian business sector to actively engage in innovative activities is germane to sustainable national growth and development. While the government has the primary responsibility to formulate policies that can mitigate societal problems and sustain economic stability, the business sector in the country has continued to experience government failure to implement previously formulated policies. The current study attempted to investigate the impediments to Nigerian Business Innovation and Information Management through the lens of a qualitative approach. The authors conducted a guided oral interview through the WhatsApp platform which was created to gather all impediments to the survey from the field officers who took an active part in data collection in six geopolitical zones in Nigeria. Subsequently, data gathered was analysed through Atlas. Ti version 8 software and the findings were presented by the regional spread. The study revealed that there are benefits in conducting a national business innovation survey, and these include input into effective planning, formulation, and implementation of relevant policies for sustainable development in the country. The outcome of the survey helps to benchmark the results with what obtains in other African countries. Key impediments include the firm's unwillingness to declare turnover because of the fear of an increase in tax policy and poor collaboration between the government and the industry. It was recommended that the government should come up with policies that will encourage business activities in the country and improve the relationship between the government and the industry

Towards Community Collections Management

Collections Management Systems (CMS) are central to the operation of many natural science collections. Over the past few decades, these have evolved from simple tables and databases recording the contents of our collections, to take on multiple roles supporting complex business processes and information management needs within our organisations. These new functional demands have often outpaced the technical development of these systems and organisational capacity to sustain them. Furthermore, their contents essentially remain institutional silos, managed and controlled by single institutions, despite servicing data and a scientific mission that is shared across the global community. The Natural History Museum, London (NHM) has recently embarked on a journey, working with peer institutions and external consultants, to develop a platform-agnostic set of requirements for a sustainable, scalable and interoperable CMS. The vision of a highly efficient, more flexible and connected solution that can engage with other collections-based organisations and stakeholders is not unique to the NHM, and working with others, including the developers of other CMS, we seek to generate a better understanding of shared collection management business processes, data and data models. To achieve these goals, a dedicated year-long programme has been formed to address the many facets of a collections management system specification (requirements, processes, standards, models and compliance), and to engage the landscape of internal and external peers, stakeholders and CMS providers. In this presentation, we will provide some background to explain how the NHM has arrived in its current position and discuss our vision for building on the discussion around existing standards, interoperability and data access. We will summarise the programme’s structure and plans, report on the progress of the first few months, and highlight any challenges encountered and solutions delivered.

SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN USAHA J PARFUM

A perfume is a shop that specializes in selling perfume in the city of clay. Processing data on sales, purchases and making reports on J perfume is still done manually, so the process of recording transactions and making financial statements is less efficient. So that in this study aims as an application that can simplify the store in managing all the sales transaction data, purchases and financial reports needed. In this study the data collection methods used were observation, interviews and literary studies, and UML (Unified Modeling Language) as a model that uses the concept of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to facilitate researchers in building systems and in helping implement this research. With the implementation of this perfume J business management information system, it provides convenience to the store in managing all transaction data and financial laopran and is more effective and efficient.

A study on stakeholder’s satisfaction of using Education Business Management Information Systems (EBMIS) tool in the University of Rwanda

A study aimed to investigate the role of the Education Business Management Information Systems (EBMIS) tool plays in the operation and management of the University of Rwanda focusing on staff and students. We carried out a mixed-method study in five colleges of the University of Rwanda including headquarters targeting students and staff. On the one hand, the study finds out that through EBMIS, timely application and registration online were good services whereby 25.7 % of students and 27% of staff were satisfied with the services respectively. The 10.7 % of students highlighted that Information technology is able to check the history of the payment process of tuition fees and 8.8% were able to access the passing modules. In addition, 55.8% of students failed to use the system during registration and application during holidays. Consequently, students come to the registration offices for assistance by staff in each college, which is costing, and time-consuming. On the other hand, the majority of staff met the difficulties of using the EBMIS to render services in between as well as to the students due to the low skills on the system. Therefore, the students’ big lines in front of offices such as offices of Collegesꞌ registrar and repeatable claims from students are still unavoidable. Hence, the use of EBMIS is not common practice in the whole services of the colleges in University of Rwanda. About, the knowledge gap, 56 % of staff do not know Information Technology System and hence 77% have not been trained at all on Information Technology System, among the trained staff, 55.1 % used at least 20% of EBMIS. The findings of the study showed that the Information Technology System is under exploitation at the University of Rwanda. However, the management of all data information from merged colleges is still critical due to the lack of technical skills and knowledge among users. Although, the University of Rwanda supports students and staff to explore this system through pieces of training in-country and abroad. Yet, there is still a big gap in skills of efficiency using the EBMIS and therefore, its productivity is still sub-standard.
