Assessment of the Implementing The COVID-19 Health Protocol in Pandemic Situation at PT. Bank XYZ Tbk, Medan, Indonesia

Background: Large-scale social Restrictions were implemented in the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 to February 2022. The government has imposed restrictions on the number of workers in the workplace by implementing COVID-19 protocols at the workplace and work-from-home. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the COVID-19 protocol at PT. Bank XYZ Medan office. Methods: Observational descriptive research provides a clear picture by observing the conditions that occur directly to see how the COVID-19 protocol is implemented at PT.Bank XYZ Medan office. Quantitative methods are used. The instruments are the provision of Health Protocols from the Indonesian Minister of Health Decree No. 328 of 2020 regarding Guidelines for Preventing Control of COVID-19 in Office and Industrial Workplaces to Support Business Continuity in Pandemic Situations. Results: The implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol in the PT. Bank XYZ Medan office has a "Very Good" level of achievement. Companies can maintain the implementation of existing COVID-19 protocols during the pandemic to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the company. Conclusion: PT. Bank XYZ is expected to maintain the implementation of the COVID-19 protocol if the pandemic has not been declared over by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, and in the future improvements can be made to prevent the transmission of other diseases. Employees must continue to follow the regulations set by the company.

Comprehensive data security and compliance framework for SMEs

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly relying on cloud platforms to support critical business operations, making effective disaster recovery (DR) strategies essential for ensuring business continuity. This review proposes a robust disaster recovery framework tailored for SMEs, designed to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a system failure, cyberattack, or natural disaster. The framework integrates advanced cloud technologies to create a cost-effective, scalable solution that aligns with the resource constraints of SMEs while providing enterprise-grade resilience. Key components of the disaster recovery framework include cloud-based data replication, automated backup solutions, and geo-redundant storage to ensure that data is continuously available and recoverable. This model employs real-time data synchronization and incremental backups to minimize Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), ensuring that critical data is not lost during an unexpected outage. Additionally, the framework leverages automated failover mechanisms to achieve low Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), allowing businesses to restore operations quickly after an interruption. Cloud orchestration tools such as AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery or Azure Site Recovery are utilized to automate disaster recovery processes, reducing manual intervention and improving the speed of recovery. The framework also incorporates regular testing of disaster recovery plans, using simulation tools to identify weaknesses and optimize response times. For SMEs, cost-effectiveness and ease of management are crucial. The framework emphasizes a pay-as-you-go model for cloud resources, allowing businesses to scale their disaster recovery solutions as they grow without incurring excessive upfront costs. By providing continuous monitoring and proactive threat detection, this disaster recovery framework ensures that SMEs can maintain uninterrupted business operations on cloud platforms, thereby enhancing resilience and mitigating the financial and operational risks associated with data loss and system downtime.

Supply chain risk assessment using best worst method: a case study of agro-industry skipjack tuna in Ambon - Indonesia

One of the main issues in the agro-industry supply chain is identifying and ranking different risk factors to maintain business continuity. This study discusses the agro-food supply chain risk assessment for smoked skipjack tuna in Ambon. Related literature and expert interviews identify risk factors that arise along the supply chain. These risk factors are contained in internal risk, company external operational risk, and macro-level risk. This research aims to evaluate comprehensively the risk factors of the smoked skipjack agro-industry supply chain, which are a priority to be addressed. The decision-making framework uses the BWM (Best Worst Method) to determine each risk factor's relative weight, followed by a sensitivity analysis to determine how robust the outcome is. Experts pick the risk factor assessment, and then an optimization model is modelled to obtain the weight of each risk factor, which is calculated with the help of Lingo software. The findings show that three risk factors will be prioritized to be addressed out of the eleven risk factors assessed, namely "Quality of the final product," "Financial instability," and "degradation of fish populations." Sensitivity analysis was also carried out to see the overall robustness of the results achieved. The weight of the selected risk factor ("final product quality (R1c)") has its weight value changed from 0.1 to 0.9 with an increase of 0.1. These findings are expected to help smoked skipjack tuna agro-industry managers make decisions to reduce supply chain risks and better administration management to maintain the sustainability of their business processes.

Digital asset management (DAM) has become a very important part of the media industry, especially in television stations. The use of Digital asset management (DAM) on NET TV is not just a technological innovation, there is an urgency to maintain business continuity and media content. NET TV understands that it is not only important to create high-quality content, but it is also essential to maintain and utilize it efficiently in the long term. With the implementation of DAM, NET TV can optimize the management of its digital assets, ensuring content can be accessed, managed and reused effectively. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze digital asset management in supporting the sustainability of content carried out by Library NET TV. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The techniques used in collecting data are interviews and observations, with methodspurposive sampling as a determinant of informants. The results of this research analysis show that creation is divided into in-house and out-house. Asset management includes ingest, editing, QC, and indexing and metadata stages with Dublin Core standards. The long-term archiving process uses LTO. Distribution is carried out according to the NET Corner SOP, as well as asset reuse using INVENIO software with metadata search. Content sustainability involves an iterative cycle from creation to reuse of digital assets.

Surviving the Storm: The Vital Role of Entrepreneurs’ Network Ties and Recovering Capabilities in Supporting the Intention to Sustain Micro and Small Enterprises

Micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) play a positive and significant role in developing economies by creating job opportunities and mitigating poverty; this necessitates their attention and focus, mainly during challenging times. Accordingly, this study explored the key factors contributing to enhancing entrepreneurial competency (EC) and the intention to maintain business continuity among MSMEs in Yemen during adverse times. A sample of 280 responses was collected from MSMEs operating diverse types of businesses in the capital of Yemen, Sanaa. The collected data were analysed using partial least squares–structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM), which is considered suitable for this purpose. The data collection process included an online questionnaire and a physical visit to the business locations of the business owners. The findings of the study reported that entrepreneurs’ network ties (ENT), as well as recovering capability (RC), positively and significantly influence the EC of MSMEs in the context of the study. Additionally, EC positively and significantly influences business continuity intention (BCI). Finally, EC partially mediates the relationship between ENT, RC, and BCI. The study concludes by providing recommendations and implications for policymakers.

To build a fair and mutually advantageous contractual partnership, ensure that the parties' interests (rights and obligations) are exchanged in balance. The notion of proportionality is vital not only for creating contracts that are just and mutually advantageous (substantial justice), but also for emphasizing fairness (fairness in procedures). Financial competency through training in preparing sharia-based digital financial reports is the main factor in improving financial performance and one of the assessments for the success of a company's financial performance. The preparation of sharia-based digital financial reports is carried out through a sharia-based digital accounting process. Sharia-based digital financial reports are carried out through the process of recording, classifying and summarizing all transactions at MSMEs assisted by the Al Mubarook Caringin Islamic Boarding School in Bandung City, in order to produce sharia-based digital financial reports that can be used for decision making for stakeholders. This training in preparing sharia-based digital financial reports is a Community Service activity carried out at the Al Mubaarok Caringin Islamic Boarding School in Bandung City. Sharia-based digital financial reporting competency is really needed by MSMEs in various cities/regencies in West Java. Financial reports will provide various benefits for the continuity of MSME businesses, especially the Al Mubarook Caringin Islamic Boarding School in Bandung City and generally in various cities/regencies in West Java. The benefits of sharia-based digital financial reports include, MSMEs can assess their company's financial performance, MSMEs have access to banking, MSMEs can, MSMEs can plan and control their financial budgets, West MSMEs can calculate their taxes, and MSMEs have sharia-based digital financial reports that can be applied in various Islamic boarding schools in West Java.

Social media usage and sustainable performance in manufacturing supply chains: exploring dynamic capabilities

Due to the global impact of COVID-19, businesses and supply chains worldwide have been disrupted, leading to challenges for manufacturing firms and customers. Social media usage (SMU) is a vital and valuable tool that builds customer-centric supply chains by effectively communicating large volumes of valuable data. This study examines the influence of social media usage on the development of dynamic capabilities, including supply chain sensing capabilities (SCSC), knowledge sharing capability (KSC), and social capital (SC), which are crucial for constructing agile and resilient supply chains that can effectively respond to dynamic and turbulent environments, ultimately enhancing sustainable business performance. To assess the proposed investigation model, data was gathered through a structured questionnaire administered to supply chain members currently engaged with manufacturing firms. The evaluation of the proposed hypotheses is carried out through the application of structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this study offer empirical evidence supporting the proposition that SMU within manufacturing firms promotes the development of sensing capabilities, knowledge-sharing capability, and social capital. Furthermore, this study tests the moderation role of environmental dynamism in the relationship between social media use and sustainable business performance. This underscores the pivotal role played by SMU in facilitating the adaptation and responsiveness of the supply chain to dynamic and uncertain environments, thereby contributing to the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of organizations.

An advanced dual-layered framework for sustainable supply chain performance

Purpose This study aims to evaluate the sustainable supply chain performance indicators. At a macro level, the identification of the sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) performance indicators is done through exhaustive literature survey and interviews with experts. Furthermore, these indicators are evaluated through a hybrid approach, i.e. total weighted interpretive structural modelling (TWISM) followed by analytic hierarchical process (AHP). Design/methodology/approach Micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India are a major contributor to nation’s GDP. However, this sector struggles to comprehend benefits from implementation of SSCM due to a lack of appropriate performance evaluation metrics. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the body of knowledge in SSCM by proposing and evaluating a set of SSCM performance indicators. Findings The paper highlights the SSCM performance indicators and concludes that business strategies, implementation planning and impact of stakeholders are the top SSCM performance indicators (SPIs). Therefore, the decision-makers must initially focus on strategic requirements which foster the implementation of SSCM, thereby ensuring profitability for all stakeholders. Research limitations/implications Although the proposed framework was validated through a case study on Indian automobile component manufacturing MSMEs, future research would explore the extension of the framework to other industries. Originality/value The originality of this study lies in the application of the novel TWISM-AHP tool. Furthermore, the SPIs identified in the study, consider the integration of the triple bottom line from the MSME perspective. The TWISM-AHP analysis will be beneficial for SC decision-makers to enhance the SSCM performance based on the identified indicators and their criticality.

The results highlight the extensive outages caused by the outage, particularly in reservation systems, customer communication, and operational management within the tourism sector. The study underscores the importance of developing robust, adaptable strategies to mitigate the effects of technological dependencies and outages, providing critical insights for future business continuity planning in the tourism industry.

The influence of stakeholder theory and Islamic faith on employee perception of CSR

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the influences of employee perception of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the Readymade Garment Industry (RMG). The RMG industry in Bangladesh has faced constant criticism of their working practices, and following some fatal incidents, the industry was faced with external pressures of implementing CSR practices and policies. Manufacturers invested and initiated CSR in their business and marketing strategy to survive in the global competition. Employees are internal stakeholders that help to implement and disseminate strategies successfully; however, there is not enough knowledge in the area of employee perception of CSR. Design/methodology/approach The paper is an exploratory study using the quantitative data collection method. In total, 128 responses have been collected from participants who are employees of garment factories in Bangladesh to understand their perception of CSR. Regression analysis has been conducted to ascertain the relationships between the factors that influence employee perception. Theories of stakeholder management, organizational citizenship behaviour, social exchange theory and employee engagement have been used to analyse the factors that influence employee perception. Findings The findings show that the factors that influence perception of CSR are not confined to the stakeholder’s initiatives but are significantly dependent on the employees’ direct involvement, engagement and personal values as a beneficiary and an executioner. In addition to the stakeholder’s initiatives that are a key deliverable to the marketing strategy, the employees are influenced by their personal beliefs and practices that can be associated with influences of religion, culture and the wider social landscape. Research limitations/implications The data is limited to a small number of factories located near the capital, Dhaka, this is a small sample compared to the 4,000 factories in Bangladesh. Further research can be conducted based on a larger data set, which could represent a wider range of employee perspectives from different factories relating to size, product category and geographical location. The study does not expand on the factors that influence employee perception specifically. Practical implications The findings of the study can help the employers understand that the organization’s priority and participation are not the only factors that influence the employee’s perceptions. The employees’ assessment of the stakeholder’s intentions of CSR, which are reflected in the organization’s priority, shapes employee perceptions that are influenced by their personal values and beliefs. The awareness of the factors that influence the employees will enable organizations to motivate them and deliver on expectations of the business partners. Social implications It is the practices aimed at the employees that enhance their engagement in CSR that enable them to reciprocate and influence their perception of the organization’s fair and genuine motives. The effectiveness of this aids the macro-marketing aspects of managing social concerns and the impact of businesses. Originality/value The data collected is primary data from employees of garment manufacturers. The hypothesized framework is developed by the authors, and the outcomes of the factors that influence the employee perception of CSR are escalated from the analysis conducted by the authors.

While Umesh was involved in leading technological development and digital marketing. By early 2015, the platform became the largest player in Goa by beating all the competitors. This was significant because Goa as a state located in western India was a big market for domestic as well as the lucrative foreign tourists. In the year 2016, My Indian Stay launched pan India operations with a new interface. This was done with advanced technologies with secured messaging facility but with a secured calling facility. By March 2020, COVID 19 pandemic and its associated economic and physical lockdown turned the travel, hotel, tourism, and allied industries into a tailspin. Shan became immersed in thoughts regarding business sustenance and continuity of My Indian Stay.

INFLUENCE OF PACKAGING DESIGN AND PRODUCT QUALITY ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION OF JANJI JIWA JILID 656 MALANG CITY

Background. Product packaging design does hold an important influence in efforts to improve product quality to increase satisfaction with a product. Product quality can motivate purchases by increasing customer satisfaction, quality products will make customers feel satisfied. One of the newcomer brands in the coffee shop business in Malang City. Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 coffee shop is one of the local coffee franchises under PT Lunar Boga. Research Purpose. This study aimed to analyse packaging design and product quality affect customer satisfaction at Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 Malang City. Research Method. This research used quantitative research methods. The collection technique was obtained from a questionnaire. Sampling used non-probality sampling with purposive sampling method with a total sample 100 respondents of Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 Malang City customers. The questionnaire results observed from a Likert scale. Findings. Variables X1 (Packaging Design), X2 (Product Quality), and Y (Customer Satisfaction) are by the value of r-count> from r-table (0.196) and significance <0.05. Packaging design and product quality simultaneously have a significant effect on the satisfaction of Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 Malang City. Conclusion. From the research results, it is hoped that Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 Malang City will ensure and maintain packaging design and product quality and make improvements. So that both aspects are in a stable condition and provide good preferences and can support business continuity and customers will always come back to Janji Jiwa Jilid 656 Malang City and create good customer satisfaction.

Developing resilience strategies amid supply chain risks in the automotive industry: A stakeholder theory perspective

AbstractManaging automotive supply chain risks contributes to achieving sustainability goals, including ensuring business continuity, maintaining production and delivery schedules, and reducing environmental impact. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the risks confronting the supply chain in the automotive industry through the moderating effect of reactive and proactive resilience strategies. The stakeholder theory perspective was used in this study to examine supply chain risk in the automotive industry. A quantitative method was employed, resulting in 157 valid responses. The results reveal that demand risk had the most significant effect on auto dealer performance, followed by logistics/transportation, production, and supply risk. Notably, proactive resilience strategies were found to significantly impact the relationship between risk and performance. The findings underscore the importance of proactive measures in mitigating the performance impacts of supply chain risk. This study contributes a theoretical framework by identifying four major supply chain risks and seven proactive and 12 reactive strategies. In addition, the study was conducted through the lens of stakeholder theory, emphasizing the importance of suppliers, manufacturers, and dealers cooperating to establish a reliable supply chain.

Effect of Knowledge Succession on Business Continuity of Community-Based Organizations in Kitui County, Kenya

Business continuity is the ability of a business enterprise to outlive the dream bearers who began it, so it can continue thriving long after the people who began it have left. Knowledge succession is the ability of a dream bearer to groom another or several others to continue the good work they began when they started the business. This study wishes to add a pool of knowledge by addressing the effect of knowledge succession on business continuity. The context the study was done in is Community-based organizations (CBOs) in Kitui County, Kenya. The study applied cross-sectional survey research. The unit of analysis was 228 CBOs in Kitui County while the unit of observation was 228 chairmen of CBOs. The study used Taro Yamane formula to derive a sample size of 145 participants. Primary data was collected using hand delivered questionnaires. Data was analyzed for descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics reviewed a high agreement with the statement on knowledge succession with an overall mean of 4.12 which implied that the organization prepared the employees for future leadership positions. Regression analysis between knowledge succession and business continuity indicates a beta coefficient of 0.404 and a p-value of 0.001 suggesting that knowledge succession had a significantly positive effect on the continuity of CBOs in Kitui County. The findings imply that knowledge succession plays a critical role in the continuity of CBOs in Kitui County. The study recommends using digital knowledge management systems, and mentoring fresh employees to enhance their versatility.

Business Shakes Politics: Its Impact on Climate Policy

Irresponsible carbon emissions by businesses are the leading factor in climate change, which are threatening human civilisation. Global leaders did little to curb industrialists’ authoritarianism despite calls from all concerned. Many researchers believe that business has an important role behind policymakers’ inaction. In this context, the main objective of this research is to explore the impact of business on climate policy when they shake hands or embrace with politics. This qualitative study used content analysis to meet the objective using primary data from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s Conference of Parties decisions, and so on and secondary literature from books, dissertations, journals, and others. This study demonstrates that businesses have vehemently opposed climate science since its inception. When the issue became political in the 1980s, animosity intensified as they feared climate regulations would harm their interests. So, initially, they attempted to negate climate science by portraying it as something unproven and promoting climate change as an opportunity for humanity. They additionally applied a variety of strategies like publishing books, periodicals, research articles, and newspaper articles, spreading media propaganda, and giving donations to mislead policymakers. As a result, climate policy formation and implementation are significantly delayed, and business interests are protected. This study implies that businesses will suffer if civilisation collapses due to the unwise use of fossil fuels. Therefore, all stakeholders must prioritise collective interests over individual ones. Entrepreneurial Competency of Single-Mother Entrepreneurs

Today, the business world has embraced increasing uncertainty and abrupt changes. The concern for business owners is business sustainability, which is crucial for their business to remain relevant and flexible in unpredictable business environments. The process of change forces business owners to be ready for any consequences that affect their business. Due to overwhelming tasks and responsibilities, single mothers may need help to succeed in business. The present research offers a comprehensive review of business continuity from the perspective of single mothers. Within the scope of this research is an exhaustive and methodical investigation of the business acumen of single mothers as entrepreneurs. A literature review was conducted, and the findings may offer a comprehensive discussion of several dimensions of entrepreneurial competency. The findings contribute new information to the existing body of knowledge regarding entrepreneurial competency, which has been a recurrent topic of discussion among earlier academics who have explored the subject matter to investigate. At the end of this paper, practising entrepreneurial competency with single-mother entrepreneurs has several implications. These findings can be applied and utilized by single-mother entrepreneurs, as well as by the government, industry, and the community.

Operational management is one of the important fields in management science that focuses on managing resources effectively and efficiently to achieve organizational goals. With the increasing development of information and communication technology, it has given birth to digitalization in various sectors. However, to what extent this digital transformation is able to increase efficiency and realize innovation in operational management, an in-depth analysis is needed. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, using secondary data analysis. Data collection and literature studies were carried out to determine the right analysis so that it can produce conclusions that are useful for increasing competitiveness and ensuring business continuity. In this study, the adoption of technologies such as AI, IoT, and automation is the key to achieving increased efficiency and opening up opportunities for innovation that have a significant impact on operational management and company performance. Digitalization is the foundation for companies to be competitive and relevant in an increasingly competitive global market. In other words, digital transformation is absolutely necessary, because it is proven that the adoption of digital technologies such as AI, big data, cloud computing, and IoT not only increases the efficiency of operational management, but also paves the way for continuous innovation and rapid adaptation to market changes.
