Design and Implementation of Online Learning System: An Analysis from Students’ Perspectives

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the nature of education, leading to a move away from in-person instruction toward online training. This raises the question of how beneficial, given the COVID-19 epidemic, online schooling is. The effectiveness of e-learning and student efforts during the COVID-19 epidemic will be used in this study to measure the Telkom University S1 Business Administration department's level of learning satisfaction. This type of research is descriptive quantitative since it makes use of a questionnaire. A private university's hundred students made up the study's population. To evaluate data, use the SmartPLS program. The results of the data analysis show that learning satisfaction is significantly impacted by both student actions and the effectiveness of e-learning.

ENGAGING VOCATIONAL COLLEGE STUDENTS’ LEARNING THROUGH E- PORTFOLIO BASED DIGITAL MODULE

This research aimed at developing an e-portfolio-based learning module integrated with multi- learning media platforms in engaging students’ learning. Seventy-seven students were involved in this study. They are sophomores at a vocational college in Business Administration Department in the academic year 2021/2022. This study is a research and development typed research by implementing design-based research (DBR) to develop a digital learning module based on e-portfolio principles. Three things were accomplished as a result of this research's implementation. First, the results of the needs analysis of students who are still getting English lectures at this moment (current learners), followed by the findings of observer observations in the classroom learning implementation. Second, the outcomes of designing and creating e- portfolio-based instructional materials in the form of a digital module that is connected to various digital platforms with the aid of QR codes. The analysis findings about the efficiency of using produced electronic modules come in third. The result of the current learners’ perception showed that the implementation of the e-portfolio learning model was able to improve student's learning achievements, however, the urgency in developing a digital module integrated with a multi-learning media platform was necessarily taken into account. Moreover, a digital module was designed based on the students’ needs and digitalization era 4.0. Consequently, the outcome of the digital module's development had a favorable impact on students' engagement to learn in a blended learning environment.

TÜRKİYE’DE ÖRGÜTSEL DEMOKRASİ ÇALIŞMALARI: LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLERE YÖNELİK BİR İNCELEME

In this study, it is aimed to examine the postgraduate theses on organisational democracy by content analysis. Forty-one theses from 1993-2023 in the National Thesis Centre of the Council of Higher Education (YOK) were analysed. The most studies in master's theses were conducted in 2022 and in doctoral theses in 2019-2020. It was determined that the most frequently studied variables in master's theses were organisational democracy, democracy, organisation, organisational commitment; in doctoral theses, organisational democracy, democracy, organisational opposition, perception of organisational democracy. It was found that 89,66% of master's theses were quantitative and 6,90% were mixed method; 75% of doctoral theses were quantitative and 25% were mixed method. It is understood that Geçkil and Tikici's (2013) Organisational Democracy and Meyer-Allen's (1993) Organisational Commitment Scales were used to measure organisational democracy in master's theses prepared with quantitative method. In doctoral theses, Geçkil and Tikici (2013)'s Organisational Democracy, Basım and Şeşen (2006)'s Organisational Citizenship Behaviour and Kassing (2000)'s Organisational Opposition Scale were used. Master's theses on organisational democracy (n= 15) were prepared in the public sector and doctoral theses (n= 6) were prepared as mixed. While 34,48% of the master's theses were prepared in the Departments of Educational Sciences and Business Administration, 58,33% of the doctoral theses were prepared in the Department of Business Administration. The study is expected to provide new perspectives to researchers by revealing the developments in the field of organisational democracy in Turkey.

Integrating extended formative assessment in flipped jigsaw learning: Promoting learning engagement and higher-order thinking skills in international business education context

Despite research confirming the positive impact of flipped jigsaw learning across multiple disciplines, little attention has been paid to embedding formative assessment into flipped jigsaw learning to optimize the acquisition of practical skills needed for future professional careers and promote learning engagement and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This study aimed to investigate the incorporation of formative assessment into a flipped jigsaw learning context and examine its effects on learning engagement and HOTS in an undergraduate business marketing course. A quasi-experimental design was used in this study, with two groups: control with flipped jigsaw learning and traditional summative assessment and experimental with flipped jigsaw learning and formative assessment. Each group consisted of 25 students, all enrolled in the undergraduate business administration department at an Indonesian vocational tertiary education institution. Questionnaires and student assignment scores were used to collect data. According to the findings, flipped jigsaw learning with extended formative assessment improved learning engagement and HOTS more than flipped jigsaw learning with traditional summative assessment. This study's findings may contribute to advancing theories and practices on how formative assessment has recently been explored as a learning tool embedded in flipped jigsaw learning in international business education.

Effects of Multimedia Education Integrated Marketing Course Teaching on Students’ Marketing Awareness and Marketing Attitude

Integrating information technology into teaching will be a major policy for schools, improving teaching models. Teachers should get rid of the traditional teaching model of merely stressing on knowledge imparting in order to have students enjoy learning, absorb knowledge, and cultivate interests. With an experimental design model, 116 students of the Department of Business Administration of a university in southern Taiwan are participating in the quasiexperimental research. The experimental class (58 students) is preceded by multimedia education integrated marketing course teaching, and the control class (58 students) maintains traditional teaching combined marketing course teaching for the 18-week (three hours per week for a total of 54 hours) experimental teaching research. According to the results of the proposed discussions and suggestions, it is expected to develop instruction from a single model to an intuitive, interesting, artistic, and three-dimensional mode, create a vivid and interesting teaching situation for students, getthem into a lively learning atmosphere, induce students’ attention, and enhance students’ learning interests.

Empirical Investigation on Influence of Employee Skill Development and Continuous Service Improvement on Service Delivery in Huduma Centres in Nairobi City County, Kenya

Although Total Quality Management (TQM) programs help to improve customer service delivery, state-owned corporations like Kenya's Huduma Centres have continued to face significant difficulties in meeting the evolving needs of its clientele. Despite the Kenyan government's efforts to enhance the provision of public services by opening Huduma centers, empirical evidence reveal customer dissatisfaction continues to prevail. The goal of the study was to determine how overall quality management strategies affected the provision of services in Huduma Centers in Kenya's Nairobi City County. Determine the impact of employee skill development and continuous service improvement on service delivery in Huduma Centers in Nairobi City County, Kenya, was one of the study's particular goals. Theory of overall quality management served as the study's foundation and backed up by the gap analysis model and the notion of dynamic capacities. The problem was investigated using a descriptive research design in the study. The study's sample size was 185 respondents, with a target population of 343 employees from the five Huduma Centers functioning in Nairobi City County. While secondary data was gathered from documented human resource records, primary data was gathered utilizing questionnaires. The researcher will assess the research's validity by consulting with lecturers from Kenyatta University's department of business administration and experts in quality management, while the Cronbach Alpha method will be used to assess the reliability of the research instrument. While content analysis was used to evaluate qualitative data, descriptive and inferential statistics like correlation and regression were employed to study quantitative data. Tables were used to present the examined data. According to the study's findings, service delivery in Huduma Centers in Nairobi City County, Kenya, was positively impacted by employee skill development and ongoing service improvement.

Analysis of Vocational Learning in Business Management Program Regarding The Requirements of work Competencies in Business and Industry Sector

The current era of global economic integration undoubtedly brings consequences among the involved nations. One of the most evident consequences is the emergence of intense competition among these countries, particularly in the labor workforce. Workforce competence is crucial for businesses to remain competitive in this global competition. The knowledge and skills possessed by the workforce are inseparable from the education process. The rapid advancements of technology pose challenges for education systems to produce Human Resources (HR) capable of global engagement. Polytechnic State of Manado, as a vocational educational institution tasked with producing educated labor with global competence aligned with the needs of the business and industrial, continuously evaluates and enhances the educational processes to adapt to the dynamic industrial landscape. The analysis conducted should focus on aligning the knowledge and skills taught with the facilities available, such as the Investment Gallery Lab, Computer Lab, and Entrepreneurship Lab, to support appropriate learning implementation. Additionally, the application of teaching methods should encourage students to actively engage in the learning process. The research focus is the analysis of the learning implementation that supports achieving graduate competencies required by the industry and business world. Implementasi Framework ITIL v3 Domain Service Strategy Dalam Perancangan Layanan Helpdesk Pada Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya

Improving service efficiency and system management has become a major focus in the higher education environment, especially in the context of helpdesk services. This research explores the application of ITIL v3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Framework in the development of helpdesk services at the Business Administration Department at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with IT staff, lecturers, and students. The analysis results highlight the implementation of ITIL v3 modules such as change management, capacity management, and service management as a foundation for improving the quality of helpdesk services. The implementation of ITIL v3 Framework has brought significant impact in improving service responsiveness, reliability, and efficiency. The results of this study provide an in-depth understanding of the benefits of implementing the ITIL v3 Framework in the context of higher education, especially in the Business Administration department at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya.

Prosedur Sistem Penataan Arsip di Program Studi Administrasi Bisnis Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis Politeknik Negeri Manado

The business administration study program is one part of the Business administration Department owned by the Vocational education institution at the Manado State Polytechnic, established in 1987 and aims to produce student graduates who are able to carry out functions as an administrative staff professionally in accordance with their field of expertise. As well as being able to complete administrative tasks in a relatively short time which is supported by the ability to use language, the latest technology and supported by high morals, responsibility and discipline. In carrying out the activity process has benchmarks that must be achieved in improving quality, one of which is by always producing good quality archives and at certain times it is needed for smooth activities in the Business administration study program. For this reason, the resulting archive must be managed according to the procedures used and then stored and can be found quickly and precisely when needed. The role of archives as a support for the organization in the smooth implementation of activities in accordance with its management procedures. In fact, it was found when the initial observation was made that there was a lack of complete documents manually or electronically, there was no special officer to handle the management of archives, so that when needed it was very difficult to find. A number of documents or archives available are not well organized due to the availability of equipment that is still minimal. This research was conducted with the aim that the availability of documents and a number of documents can be well organized and protected, archives can be well organized with the availability of equipment and special officers who handle it. This research will use qualitative research methods by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation.

Students’ Needs Analysis of Business English At ESP Class For Business Administration Department At Nommensen HKBP University

Nowadays, practically all job profession criteria demand job candidates to be proficient in the language of their preferred professional industry, particularly English. This research was conducted to examine the challenges faced by the Business Administration Department, specifically the second-semester students at Nommensen HKBP University, in using English and their need for Business English in ESP classes. It follows Hutchinson and Waters' theory, which consists of target situation needs and learning needs. Target situation needs include "necessities," "lacks," and "wants," while learning needs refer to how learners learn the language. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data was collected through a Semi-structured interview with the lecturer, as well as questionnaires given to the students via Google form. In collecting and analyzing the data, the researcher followed Miles, Huberman, & Saldana's concepts are data collecting, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The researcher also used some tables and charts to describe and calculate the data accurately. The result of this research showed that Business administration students struggle with English learning due to lack of vocabulary, mispronunciation, and incorrect sentence structure. These issues cause anxiety and hinder effective communication. To improve, students should learn to comprehend reports in curves or tables. On the other hand, Business Administration students need to master four English language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. 96% prefer an English for Business class to understand its value in their professional field. Lessons should be weekly, small, and include oral presentations, group discussions, and writing.

Enhancing business students’ self-efficacy and learning outcomes: A multiple intelligences and technology approach

This research investigates the effect of multiple intelligences (MIs) teaching strategy with technology-enriched environments on business administration students’ self-efficacy, confidence, and learning outcomes. The study involved 276 participants from a university’s business administration department, undergoing an international business course. A range of technology-based activities incorporating MI strategies was employed, exploring key topics such as globalization, corporate social responsibility, and market segmentation. Hypothesis testing revealed that high expectations and changes in viewpoints positively impacted self-concept, ability, and motivation, contributing to improved learning outcomes. The integration of technology in teaching facilitated these transformations, demonstrating how digital tools like virtual reality, interactive platforms, and online tutorials can enhance learning experiences. However, the effect on learning gain varied when viewpoints changed, indicating a need for further research into the differential impact of technology on learning outcomes. Despite some limitations, the study offers compelling evidence supporting the integration of MIs teaching strategy with technology-enriched environments in business administration education. Future studies should further explore the role of emerging technologies in this context.

One way to produce good employee performance is to have adequate intellectual intelligence. Employee performance is influenced by ability. Ability is not only about knowledge but also skills. The results showed that there was a significant influence between intellectual intelligence on employee performance and emotional intelligence on employee performance partially. THE EFFECTS OF SELF-EFFICACY AND OPTIMISM ON PERCEIVED EMPLOYABILITY

Purpose- According to the January 2023 report of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), while the unemployment rate in Turkey is 10.2% as of November 2022, this rate is 17.8% for the young population in the 15-24 age group. It is seen that youth unemployment is one of the important problems in Turkey and the possibility of not being able to find a job for young people creates a worrying situation. Employability is an individual's perception of their chances of finding a job. It is thought that one of the features that can be beneficial for individuals to cope with the process of finding a job is psychological capital. This research aims to test the effect of the concept of psychological capital, which consists of hope, optimism, self-efficacy and resilience dimensions, on perceived employability on a student sample. Methodology- In this study, data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of psychological capital scale, perceived employability scale and demographic information section. 219 students studying in the department of business administration of a state university participated in the study. Participants are between the ages of 17-27. The data were obtained between September 2022 and January 2023 with convenience sampling method and online survey application. Findings- In the study, first of all, the factor structures of the variables were determined by confirmatory factor analysis. Then, the relations between the variables were examined by correlation analysis and it was seen that each sub-dimension of psychological capital had an effect on perceived employability. As a result of the regression analysis performed to test the hypotheses, it was seen that only the dimensions of self-efficacy and optimism had the effect of explaining the perceived employability. Conclusion- In this study, it was seen that students' beliefs that they will be successful and their thoughts about getting positive results increase their perceptions about finding a job. Although this result is consistent with the findings in the literature, it differs from previous studies in that resilience and hope do not have a positive effect. Research shows that optimism and self-efficacy can be increased by education and various learning methods. In this context, it is thought that the trainings to be provided by universities and non-governmental organizations will enable students to better cope with the labor market. Future studies may offer a broader perspective by examining the role of mediators and moderators in the relationship between self-efficacy and optimism and perceived employability. E-Learning Acceptance in Business Administration Department State Polytechnic of Banjarmasin

E-learning is learning using Internet media. Acceptance of E-learning at the Business Administration Department, State Polytechnic of Banjarmasin, is measured by the Technology Acceptance Model method. This research is descriptive and verification research. The sample is 171 people. The data analysis technique uses the Structural Equation Model. The study results show that perceived ease of use does not affect behavioral intention to use technology but attitudes toward using technology. Perceived enjoyment influences attitude towards using technology. Behavioral intention to use technology affects actual technology use but does not affect satisfaction. Attitude towards using technology affects actual technology use. Actual technology use affects satisfaction. The variables with the greatest direct effect are perceived enjoyment on attitude towards using technology, perceived ease of use on behavioral intention to use technology, attitude towards using technology on actual technology use, and actual technology use on satisfaction. The variables with the greatest total effect are perceived enjoyment on attitude, perceived ease of use on behavioral intention to use technology, attitude on actual technology use, and perceived enjoyment on satisfaction

Introducing the Use of Case Studies Methodology in Training for Soft Skills in Maritime Universities. The Isol-Met Program

Maritime academies, maritime universities and Departments of Business Administration which specialize in the Shipping Sector face several challenges when preparing students to meet workplace demands in an increasingly complex, knowledge and technology-focused environment. Students usually latter lack generic skills requested by employers such as: critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, communication and teamwork. The present paper presents the innovative aspects of the ISOL-MET (Innovative Soft Skills to Maritime Education and Training) project, meant to bridge the well-known gap in these specific skillsets. The innovative aspects in question cover but are not limited to the content of the courses, their design, as well as the teaching methodology deployed. More specifically, the case study methodology, not so common in the shipping industry, was employed in the Innovative Soft Skills to Maritime Education and Training framework. It involved the development of cases of real incidents occurring both ashore and on-board, recorded through the participation of stakeholders and validated as to content by Panels of Experts and Associate Partners to guarantee their correspondence to the industry’s needs. Concerning the teaching methodology, a blend of problem solving and competency-based learning processes were put to use, so that the attitude of the professors as well as the mentality of students would be creatively challenged. The paper describes in detail the methodologies employed and features evaluative feedback from the Intensive Study Program which took place in Greece.

Pengembangan Keterampilan Alumni Melalui Pelatihan Administrasi dan Pelayanan Hotel Bintang 4 Mercure, Pontianak

Training is an important tool for career development. By acquiring new skills and knowledge, individuals can increase their chances of getting a job, getting promoted, or getting a promotion. Training leads to new career opportunities and can help achieve long-term goals. Community service was carried out by the PPM Team from the Department of Business Administration with the theme "Development of Alumni Skills Through 4-Star Hotel Administration and Service Training at Mercure Pontianak". A possible solution to the problem is to offer advanced training or professional development for alumni to improve their skills in administration and service. This can be in the form of seminars, workshops, or special training programmes that help them stay relevant to the latest developments in the field. The output targets in this PPM are the PPM Journal and articles in print or electronic media. This PPM is expected to be able to improve technical skills relevant to administration and hotel services, especially for POLNEP Business Administration alumni

Digital Transformation of Accounting in Industry 4.0 Perspective and an Empirical Study on Turkish Accounting Education

Industry 4.0, with the unstoppable development of information technologies and the internet towards the end of the 20th century, is considered an industrial revolution that brings together digital technologies that are constantly increasing in number and variety. As a result of the increase in the use of digital technologies brought by the Industry 4.0, digital transformation, this topic has become increasingly important and begun to take place more in the literature. Studies examining the relationship between the Industry 4.0 and accounting are observed in the literature. However, there were not enough studies in the literature that measured the perspectives of students studying in the business administration departments towards the Industry 4.0 as well as their attitudes toward accounting courses. In this study, the effects of the Industry 4.0 on accounting and the digital transformation of accounting have been evaluated for business administration students. A total of 491 questionnaires were applied to the students of the department of business administration, and IBM SPSS Statistics 22 package program was employed for the reliability analysis of the data obtained from 491 questionnaires. Explanatory factor analysis was benefited to determine the validity of the scalesin the study. In the analysis, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) and Barlett Test were performed to measure the sample adequacy. According to the results of the analysis, it was revealed that there was a significant difference in the Industry 4.0 in terms of the views of the students studying in the e business administration department according to sex, age, academic year, and grade points average. In addition, it was also revealed that there was a significant difference in attitudes towards accounting courses and the Industry 4.0 among business administration students based on sex, age, academic year, and department.

Strategies for enhancing faculty brand through personal branding: Insights from lecturers

Professional branding is a new step in the professional development of a lecturer, which presupposes a holistic process of forming a lecturer's personal brand, which consists of creating a personality image of a lecturer that is attractive, socially recognized, and can be recognized in his professional field. This study aims to identify the extent of the faculty branding process carried out by lecturers of the Business Administration Department of the State Polytechnic of Malang through Instagram social media. A total of 10 respondents were determined using purposive sampling. The data collection method is done by in-depth interview, while the data analysis method uses data triangulation. The results showed that the majority of respondents have carried out professional branding by uploading various outputs that show their respective expertise ranging from education, training (mastery class) to community service. However, there are still no significant findings regarding lecturers' output related to intellectual property rights so that it becomes an opening for further research. Through the results of this study, it can be stated that the Malang State Polytechnic Business Administration Study Program has made efforts to carry out massive faculty branding through lecturer posts on social media.

Facilitators of tertiary students' entrepreneurial intentions: Insights for Lesotho's national entrepreneurship policy

This study provides insightful information to guide the Lesotho government's drive to address rising youth unemployment. Through quota sampling technique, this study selected 930 students from 31 departments at National University of Lesotho. Grounded in the theory of planned behaviour (TPB), the study examined the facilitators of students' entrepreneurial intentions using mean, standard deviation, mean rank, correlation, and Mann-Whitney U test. Structural equation modelling was used to determine the relationship between the three components of TPB (attitudes, perceived behavioural control, and subjective norm), and students' entrepreneurial intention. The findings show that attitudes and perceived behavioural control were positive predictors of entrepreneurial intention while subjective norm was a negative predictor. The major findings indicate that students from Business and Management Development, Business Administration, Economics, Nutrition, and Pharmacy departments had higher entrepreneurial intentions, with postgraduate students (at master level) having higher entrepreneurial decisions than undergraduate students. Policy, practice, and research implications are teased out from the findings to improve entrepreneurial education.

Development of Marketing Management Learning Model Based on E-Potofolio in Business Administration Department of Malang State Polythecnic

The current lecture approach demands student activity, so that students can build their own knowledge in the learning process. The student center learning (SCL) approach would be more appropriate to the current situation and conditions, where the lecturer acts as a facilitator, mediator and motivator for students in learning because students can learn from various learning sources, such as: textbooks, business experts, the internet, mass media, electronic media or the business environment that surrounds the student's residence. In addition, the assessment of students is also more comprehensive and includes three aspects, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. One such learning model is to use the E-Portfolio approach. This is in accordance with the objectives of marketing learning at the Department of Commerce Administration, State Polytechnic of Malang, which was given in semester 1, which emphasized the achievement of the three learning domains, namely: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The implementation of marketing learning based on E-Portfolio will raise the enthusiasm of lecturers in teaching, because the content and presentation of learning materials involve students actively and go directly to the field. As for students, it will generate attitudes and marketing motivation and be able to understand the focus of the material discussed, because the lecture material is easier to digest because it is based on direct observation and experience in the field. Based on data analyze of research found that research result show E-Portfolio Model can be applied at Marketing Management learning at Commerce Administration, State Polytechnic of Malang.
