The development of new, scientifically based approaches, improvement of existing ones for the organization of treatment and nursing of patients with extensive and deep burns is one of the most important tasks of medicine. The recovery process of burn patients ultimately depends on how coordinated and professional the joint actions of doctors and nurses will be. Target. To analyze the work of the nursing staff of the burn department in order to identify problems in the organization of nursing practice and their prevention in the future. Results. Weaknesses in the organization of nursing practice in the burn department were studied, analyzed and identified, which made it possible to introduce the Nursing Observation Sheet for a Burn Patient and bring it into line with the standard Protocol for the Management of a Burn Patient. Conclusion. The analysis of the assessment of the provision of nursing care to patients with burn injuries revealed the absence of the necessary standard operating procedures (SOP). Currently, only the SOP developed in accordance with the document «Protocol for the Management of a Patient. Bedsores» is in effect.
