The paper examines a learning method in teaching website building technologies to students in a learning environment where a role-playing game from the practice of a software company is simulated. The data collection and evaluation of the results was carried out through the qualitative methods of participant observation, interviewing, content analysis and survey card. The article analyzes the state of the researched problem by reviewing the normative base of web design training at school, the scientific and educational literature on the methods of learning through role play and teamwork. A staging of the implementation of an experiment for web design training is presented, describing the general framework for organizing the learning process, the stages of conducting the research, as well as the plot and scenario of conducting. The final results of the research were analyzed on the basis of a discussion with students and data from survey cards. The training, according to the experiment, is in the form of a simulation game and takes place in six academic hours of 40 minutes in three consecutive weeks, passing through four stages. The work of two teams of students with representative roles was studied: manager, web designer, graphic designer, stylist and web programmer. The final product of the role-playing game is the development of a website, and its final result for the learning process is knowledge and skills acquired during the formal training by the teacher and the informal training between the students during their team work.

Building a Web-Augmented Reality application for demonstration of kidney pathology for veterinary education.

Three-dimensional (3D) models created with computers and educational applications designed using such models are used in the medical field every day. However, there is a lack of macroscopic demonstration applications built with digital 3D models in the field of veterinary pathology. The aim is to build a fully interactive 3D educational web-based augmented reality application, to demonstrate macroscopic lesions in kidneys for educational purposes. We used open source and free software for all 3D modelling, Augmented Reality and website building. Sixteen 3D kidney pathology models were created. Kidney models modelled in 3D and published as WebAR are as follows: normal kidney, unilateral neurogenic shutdown with atrophy, hydronephrosis, hypercalcemia of malignancy tubular nephrosis, interstitial corticomedullary nephritis, renal infarct, multifocal petechial hemorrhages, polycystic kidneys, renal masses, multifocal nephritis, pigmentary nephrosis, papillary necrosis, glucose-related rapid autolysis (pulpy kidney), pyelonephritis, renomegaly and kidney stones. With the workflow shown here, it has been presented as a feasible model application for human pathology and presented to educators, researchers and developers who have 3D models and AR in their field of interest. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first study on Web-Augmented Reality application for veterinary pathology education.

On this research the scrum framework is utilized to optimize website building for mapping salted egg production. The scrum framework works repeatedly and gradually in its development process. Hence, on the result of this research the sprint planning that able to create faster development process is generated. The former problem which the data displayed on the website has not used interesting visualization then the use of hyperlinks on the website is also not optimal. However, with scrum framework implementation the process of developing a website for mapping salted egg production can be resolved faster, because all scrum teams are involved in the process of completion.

A Corpus Based Study on Cross Cultural Adaption of Websites of Foreign-Invested Enterprises in Heilongjiang Province

Under the macro-environment of “The Belt and Road Initiative”, Heilongjiang province receives more foreign investment since 2013. This paper endeavors to collect website information of foreign-invested companies in Heilongjiang province and Heilongjiang local companies and build two corresponding corpuses. After analyzing data by using WMATRIX 4 tool, the author selects semantic clouds under the framework of Singh’s website content. Then after comparing data of Heilongjiang local companies and foreign invested companies in Heilongjiang province, the author tries to explain the data from Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, namely, individualism vs. collectivism, power distance, uncertainty avoidance and femininity vs. masculinity. Then suggestions on the website building to adapt to the local culture have been made. The study makes a useful attempt to explore the effectiveness of business communication across disciplines by using linguistic research perspectives and research methods.

AWDLC: Accessible-Website Development Life Cycle

Web portals are increasingly being used as excellent media to reach out to a wider user group irrespective of the nature of the organization be it government or business enterprise. Since more and more people are depending on websites for information access as well as various types of transactional applications, the design and features of websites play a crucial role from the user-friendliness point of view. Thus, lot of emphasis has been laid for developing effective websites. Standards such as “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG) have raised different requirements for websites in order to make them accessible to a wider range of users irrespective of their background and physical disabilities. This necessitates adoption of an engineering approach right from requirement analysis till the development of a full-fledged website and even beyond. Towards this end, we propose a Website Development Life Cycle approach referred as AWDLC, in order to facilitate building of accessible websites that are user- friendly in terms of design, content, assistive features, and online support. We elaborate on each step of the lifecycle approach which can address the growing requirements of accessible websites.

Status Quo of Professional⁻Patient Relations in the Internet Era: Bibliometric and Co-Word Analyses.

Background: Incidents of violence against medical staff have increased in intensity, showing the deteriorating relationship between doctors and patients in China over the past few years. In addition, professional–patient relations have been significantly affected in the Internet era in China, which has attracted great attention from many scholars. This study aims to analyze the research status of professional–patient relations in the Internet era in China and further reveal its research pattern and trends. Methods: This study collected journal articles published during the past 21 years from the Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform. Then, bibliometric analysis was carried out, including publication growth, core author and collaborative degree, highly cited papers, journal distribution, and institution distribution analyses. We also analyzed the subject heading–source literature matrix and co-occurrence matrix of keywords through hierarchical cluster, social network, and strategic diagram analyses. Results: The number of articles has continually risen since 1998, which follows the growth law of literature. Furthermore, the distribution of these studies obeys Bradford’s law of scattering, and mainly concentrates on the fields of medicine and health technology. The distribution of high-frequency keywords follows Zipf’s law. Conclusions: We identified eight focal research directions, namely: website building (especially for professional–patient interaction), telemedicine, professional–patient communication and network public opinion, professional–patient contradiction and health education, new media, follow-up interaction platform, healthcare reform and computer network, and medical ethics.

Australia’s On-Farm Grain Storage Extension Project – a national initiative improving stored grain pest management and maintaining phosphine fumigation efficacy on-farm for the Australian grains industry.: Presentation

Phosphine’s continued use in Australia to control grain insect pests in on-farm and central storage systems is threatened through increased resistance in both frequency and strength in target insect pests. Effective fumigation combined with best practice integrated pest management is essential to the sustainability of grain biosecurity, food safety, quality assurance and market access for Australian post-harvest grain systems. The National Stored Grain Extension Program (NSGEP) is an industry funded initiative developed to facilitate best practice in grain storage management within Australia’s grains industry. The NGSEP uses a multi approach engagement strategy and a variety of adult learning principles and training techniques aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge to build capacity and support to enable farmers and industry to manage their grain storage systems and meet best practice and market requirements. These include: training workshops, field days, practical demonstrations, industry forums, multi-media and website development and building networks with grower groups, government agencies and agribusiness. Various evaluation methods have shown that awareness and adoption of best practice in on-farm grain storage management has increased. Key outcomes include increased knowledge in insect identification and skills development and practice change in the management of grain hygiene, aeration, phosphine application, silo testing and planning of storage systems. The NSGEP contributes to the positive on-going changes observed in Australia’s on-farm grain storage systems, primarily through the specialized extension network of information, support and training provided that is highly regarded and in demand. It plays an instrumental role in building capacity and maintaining phosphine fumigation efficacy in the Australian grains industry.

Teachers’ website design experiences and usability test: the case of weebly.com

This study was conducted in order to examine the process by which teachers designed a website. For this purpose, www.weebly.com, which is used as a website building tool, was selected and teachers were given tasks for web designing. Experiments were designed differently for experiment and control groups. Before performing the tasks, an introduction video was shown to the experiment group. Then, interview questions about the contribution of introduction videos and usability of website were asked. According to the results, the group that watched the introduction video completed the tasks in a shorter time than the group who did not watch the videos. At the same time, the group who watched introduction videos before using the site was able to complete more tasks than the group that did not watch the videos. These results show that the use of introduction videos as a navigation facilitator enhances the usability.Keywords: Website design experience, teacher education, usability, eye tracking.*

An Analysis on the Change in Preferences of Preservice Teachers Towards Use of The Internet Technologies in Teaching

Araştırmada Bilgisayar II dersi içeriğine ek olarak internet teknolojilerinden biri olan Web 2.0 araçları ile ilgili yapılmış olan çalışmalar neticesinde, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmen olduklarında kullanmayı tercih edecekleri teknolojilerin dönem başında (DB) ve dönem sonunda (DS) nasıl değişim gösterdiğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiş olup, araştırma 2014-2015 akademik yılı bahar döneminde Bilgisayar II dersini alan 86 öğretmen adayının katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda öğretmen adaylarına DB hiçbir müdahalede bulunmadan öğretmen olduklarında kullanmak istedikleri Web 2.0 araçları tercihleri sorulmuştur. Ardından dönem boyunca yeni Web 2.0 araçları tanıtılmış, öğrenme öğretme süreçlerinde bu teknolojilerin nasıl kullanılabilecekleri gösterilmiş ve öğretmen adaylarına uygulama yapma imkanı verilmiştir. DS öğretmen adaylarına tercihleri tekrar sorulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler karşılaştırılarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının DB yaptıkları tercihlerde en çok internet sitesi hazırlama, video, sosyal ağ araçlarını ve diğer internet teknolojilerini tercih ettikleri, DS ise animasyon, sunum, karikatür ve ölçme ve değerlendirme araçlarını en çok tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Öğretmen adaylarının en çok tercih ettikleri Web 2.0 araçları incelendiğinde; DB içeriği hazır olarak bulunabilecek ya da hazır olarak sunulabilecek araçların tercih edildiği; DS ise animasyon, sunum, karikatür ve ölçme ve değerlendirme materyallerini hazırlayabilecekleri araçları tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Dolayısıyla Bilgisayar II dersinin içeriğinin güncellenmesi, internet teknolojileri ve yeni geliştirilen diğer teknolojiler ile ilgili içeriklerin eklenmesi, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmen olduklarında Web 2.0 araçları gibi internet teknolojilerini daha etkili kullanmaları ve derslerine girdikleri öğrencilerin düzeylerine göre öğretim amaçlı ürün oluşturabilmeleri açısından önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Quality Evaluation of Group-Buy Websites

Group buying mode has been one of the hottest business models in the Chinese Internet area in recent years. Though the market competition is intense, the demand of group purchase is still on the rise. Nowadays, the research on comprehensive evaluation of group buying websites in the country is still tiny. The paper used DEA combined with AHP to evaluate popular group buying websites. According to the characteristics of group buying websites, the authors evaluate the quality of group buying websites from four aspects. There are running efficiency, profit ability, popularity and customer satisfaction. Then they get the comprehensive evaluation results of each website which based on those four aspects. Some suggestions of website building for group purchasing enterprises are proposed.

This paper presents an E-learning web site of technician certificate setting up. With the rapid development of education informationization in Taiwan and the wide spread of specialization of teachers, educational technology ability is becoming a basic requirement. In this case, the traditional educational technology training model can no longer meet the demand for professional development of teachers. To increase the on-line learning interactivities and real time feedbacks, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) could be used to implement web pages. E-learning web site can combine multimedia technology and allow users to review and practice the material at any place. Consequently, we build an E-learning web site of technician certificate for electronic elements soldering and taking apart. The proposed web site not only can provide the students to enhance their abilities by using the tool web site as a remedial teaching aid after school, but also can encourage them to have more interest in learning the questions’ answer for certificate exam.

Research on a Comprehensive Evaluating Model of E-Commerce Website Design Based on AHP

The development of E-Commerce has become the main tendency, so the importance of website building should also be taken seriously. The paper designs a system of comprehensive evaluating depends on the basic demands of website building, and begins with four aspects, which mainly includes website function, website content, website implement and application, and website promotion. Then this paper establishes the judgment matrixes of A-B and B-C and check their consistency to get the assessment matrix of A-C based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), at last we get the total index weight rank which represents the important level of every specific index relative to the final goal. This research mainly aims at promoting the standardization development of website.

An Online Learning Community Integrated with Web-Enhanced Collaborative Learning and Self-Regulated Learning

This paper investigates two aspects of the growing trend towards collaborative learning (CL) and self-regulated learning (SRL) in higher education by examining students’ computing skills in a blended learning environment. The author redesigned a course and adopted web-enhanced CL and SRL to develop undergraduates’ computing skills of web page programming and website building. Three classes with 170 students in a one-semester course were chosen for the empirical study. The results in this study show that students who received web-enhanced CL and SRL had higher grades than those who did not receive web-enhanced CL and/or SRL. It can provide references for schools and teachers who plan to provide online or blended courses for their students to achieve better learning effects in web-based learning environments.

Recently, there has been no escaping the mention of blogs in the media. Blogging has emerged as a social phenomenon, which has impacted politics, business, and communication. Blogging software has enabled people with limited knowledge of the Internet to publish their thoughts online and participate in a global conversation; whereas the Blogosphere has hyperaccelerated the spread of information. Technorati, a blog search engine is now tracking over 7.8 million Weblogs, and 937 million links, and reports that there are about 30,000 to 40,000 new blogs created a day. The majority of people who blog do so as a hobby, using blogs to publish their thoughts, feelings, and viewpoints on whatever topics interest them. Blogging software also enables people to post pictures, music, and more recently videos. For many people blogs are used as online journals or diaries; other people use blogs to communicate with their family and friends. Whether people generate revenue with their blogs or use them as a hobby the one thing they all have in common is that they are part of the Blogosphere, or network of blogs that gives people a voice and allows them to spread information at an unprecedented rate. Although searching PubMed produces few results for "blog" (6 relevant articles of 24), "weblog" (1 article), web log (8 entries of varying relevance), and "blogging" (4 articles) (none of which were in Radiology, RadioGraphics, AJR, or JVIR), blogging might well become an important means of information transfer in Radiology also. As radiology is an image-based science, a blog is a satisfying endeavor in that you can share your experiences with others instantaneously In this context, I would like to submit my experience with easy method for building a Web site known as blogging (maintaining a Web log). As a radiologist, I use my blog (http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com/; or http://www.indianradiology.com/) to post interesting cases from my routine practice along with any interesting abstracts I come across during my day-to-day work. The success of this project can be measured by the fact that in the last full year of "rad-blogging," more than 30,000 visitors came to the site from all over the world, with thousands of queries from patients, colleagues, and many interested students. Rad-blogging might well become a new easy method of information exchange and opinion building in Radiology.
