Purpose of Study: The aim of this study was to attempt the removal of a broad ligament fibroid (BLF) vaginally at vaginal hysterectomy (VH) performed for a benign indication and to spare the patient from laparotomy or laparoscopic-assisted VH. Main Findings: In 9 (9/18) patients, a successful enucleation of a BLF was performed vaginally at VH without laparoscopic assistance or a laparotomy. The results were favorable in the interest of patients, when compared with the abdominal route. Principal Conclusions: The vaginal route does permit the enucleation of a BLF at VH without laparoscopic assistance.
