The objective of this study was to analyze the profile of Paralympic canoeing athletes with resilience and perception of performance, as well as to compare the variables depending on gender and medal-winning and non-medal-winning athletes. This is a descriptive and quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, in which 40 athletes of both sexes with physical-motor disabilities and active in the 2023 Brazilian Paralympic canoeing championship participated. The instruments used were: anamnesis; Resilience Scale in Sport and the Sport Performance Perception Questionnaire. Descriptive analyzes were carried out to characterize the sample, as well as Shapiro-Wilk and Mann-Whitney linear inferential tests and non-linear Bayesian network analysis for comparisons. The majority of the sample was made up of: male athletes; athletes with paraplegia; and competitors from both disciplines (KL and VL). Of the 40 athletes, 22 were medalists in the 2023 Brazilian championship. The results indicated that women are more sensitive to the variables of resilience and perception of performance, but men showed higher levels of perception. When athletes win a medal, they tend to perceive themselves better and be more resilient. It is concluded that the way they perceive their performance and resilience directly influences their performance, and it is important that targeted psychological interventions are carried out. Therefore, profiling the athletes is advantageous in terms of gathering more information and understanding the entire environment and factors that can influence the final result of the competition, where any detail can make the difference between victory and defeat.
