THE INFLUENCE OF BINAHONG LEAVES (ANREDERA CORDIFOLIA) ON HEALING OF FLOUR ALBUSON FEMALE STUDENTSOF CLASS XI SMAN 1 PACIRAN LAMONGAN DISTRICT

Introduction: One problem of adolescents at the age of 11-20 years who have not entered adulthood is fluor albus. In the initial survey, more than half of the students (70%) had vaginal discharge problems. This study aimed to determine the effect of binahong leaves decoction (AnrederaCordifolia) on healing Flour Albuson female Student of class XI SMAN 1 Paciran, Lamongan District. Methods: The design used pre-experimental method with one grouppre test and post test. The population was all female students who had fluor albus of 34 children and sample of 25 children with consecutive sampling techniques that the inclusion creteria. The data were analyzedusing Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, with significance level of p <0.05 using SPSS V program 22.0. Results: The results of statistical tests showed that the values of Z: -4.613b and p = 0.000 where p <0.05, H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an effect of binahong leaves decoction (AnrederaCordifolia) on healing Flour Albus. This study indicated that binahong leaf decoction herbs can reduce and even healing fluor albus with good personal hygiene behavior.

Antibacterial Test of Binahong Leaf Extract Ointment (Anredera cordifolia) Against Staphylococcus aureus Bacteria from Diabetic Wounds

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is characterized by an increase in glucose levels in the blood due to disorders of glucose metabolism in the body. The pancreas organ of people with DM has a weakness in producing the hormone insulin. As a result, the distribution of blood glucose to other organs of the body is inhibited so that glucose levels in the blood increase which causes DM sufferers to experience longer wound healing than normal humans. Binahong leaves contain alkaloids, saponins and flavonoids which have antibacterial activity which can accelerate the wound healing process. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial effect of binahong leaf extract ointment (Anredera cordifolia) against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria from diabetic wounds. This research includes antibacterial test for binahong leaf extract ointment (Anredera cordifolia) with variations in the concentration of 10%, 20%, and 30% of the concentration of binahong leaf extract of 25% which resulted in a wound coverage percentage of up to 100%, namely at 30% ointment concentration. The conclusion of this study is that there was no wound closure for negative control and positive control in the form of oxytetracycline, the percentage of wound closure was 85%.

The potential of mixed epibiotic (binahong leaves, anrederacordifolia, and garlic, allium sativum, extracts) as a feed additive to combat aeromonashydrophilainfection on catfish (clariasgariepinus)

Catfish are one of the most commercially important fish cultured and consumed in Indonesia. Catfish (Clarias garipienus) is one of the most commercially important freshwater fish cultured and consumed in Indonesia. However, Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease was caused by Aeromonas hydrophila is one of the obstacles which are often to be found during the culture. This study aimed was to determine the epibiotic extracts of binahong leaves (BLE) and garlic (GE) as a feed additive on the growth performance and survival rate of catfish against Aeromonas hydrophila infection. This research was conducted with Completely Randomized Design (6 treatments and 3 replications)in the aquaculture department laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Diponegoro University. The treatments were various dosages of the mixture of epibiotic extracts, namely A (2.500 ppm BLE+0 ppm GE), B (1.875 ppm BLE+250 ppm GE), C (1.250 ppm BLE+500 ppm GE), D(625 ppm BLE+750 ppm GE), E (0 ppm BLE+1.000 ppm GE) and K (0 ppm BLE+ 0 ppm GE). The result of the research indicated that a mixture of epibiotic was able to increase the survival rate but not in the growth rate. This treatment also was affected by the blood profile of cat fish ie. Erythrocyte, leucocyte, and hemoglobin These results showed that the best dosage of a mixture of epibiotic extracts (1.250 BLE+500 ppm GE) resulted in 86,67% of survival rate.

Addition of binahong (Anredera cordifolia) leaf powder to diets to produce eggs with low cholesterol.

Aim:The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of binahong leaf powder to quail rations on the production and quality of eggs.Materials and Methods:The study involved the use of two hundred 7-week-old quails housed evenly in 20 wire cages with a body weight of 123.77±0.72 g. The quails were treated as follows: Ration without binahong leaf powder (T0), addition 2% of binahong leaf powder (T1), addition 4% of binahong leaf powder (T2), and addition 6% of binahong leaf powder (T3). The study used a completely randomized design. The parameters measured were the production, weight, and characteristics of the eggs, as well as the cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and egg protein content in the yolk.Results:The addition of 2-6% binahong powder did not significantly affect egg production, egg characteristics, or egg protein content, but significantly (p<0.05) affected the cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, and LDL contents in yolk. The cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL contents decreased significantly in T1, whereas HDL increased significantly in T2 and T3.Conclusion:The addition of 2% binahong was enough to obtain healthy quail eggs with low levels of cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL.

Declaration of Blood Sugar Levels with Black Raw and &lt;i&gt;Binahong&lt;/i&gt; Leaves in Mencit (&lt;i&gt;Mus musululus&lt;/i&gt;)

Diabetes mellitus is a disease marked by an increase in blood sugar levels. At present many sufferers of Diabetes Mellitus whose blood sugar levels are not controlled so that it can cause complications. The purpose of this study was to reduce blood sugar levels with black onion extract and binahong leaf extract on mice (mus musculus). This study uses a Quasy Experimental design with One Group pre-posttest. Samples were taken A total of 32 mice consisted of 16 in the intervention group and the comparison intervention group. The independent variables in this study were black onion extract and binahong leaf extract, while the dependent variable was the blood sugar level of mice. Data were collected by observation sheets and analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Independent sample T-tests. The results of this study showed that the difference between pre and post-reduction of black onion extract was 66.4 mg/dl and the difference between pre and post administration of binahong leaf extract was 66.2 mg/dl. While the analysis shows the value of p = value 0.985. The results of this study indicate that extracts of black garlic and binahong leaves are equally effective in reducing blood sugar levels and that there are no significant differences in reducing blood sugar levels in mice. Thus both the black onion extract and the binahong leaf are equally effective in reducing blood sugar levels.

Effectiveness of the binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia) in devoting bacterial growth Vibrio cholerae in vitro

Parameters that determine biological water quality are microbial parameters of pollutants, pathogens and toxin producers. Many microbes often mix with water, especially in shallow groundwater. One of the antioxidant-producing plants is the Binahong plant which has a high enough antioxidant level which inhibits bacterial growth. The purpose of this study was to determine whether binahong leaf extract can inhibit the growth of Vibrio cholerae bacteria. This study was a laboratory experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments. The treatment was repeated 3 times with various concentrations of 30%, 40%, 50%, and 100%, and chlorine was used as a positive contract. The material used in this study was binahong leaf extract macerated with ethanol solvent, a thick extract was produced which was then tested for antibacterial activity on Vibrio cholerae bacteria. The parameters observed were the diameter of the inhibition zone of the growth of Vibrio cholerae bacteria. The result is known that binahong leaf extract has the ability to inhibit the growth of Vibrio cholerae bacteria seen by the presence of inhibitory zones formed. The most effective concentration to inhibit the growth of Vibrio cholerae bacteria was at a concentration of 100% at 6.10 mm at 24 hours of observation.

Potential of Binahong (&amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Anredera cordifolia&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt; [Tenore] Steen) in Reducing TNF-&amp;lt;i&amp;gt;α&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt; Expression on Regeneration of Pancreas &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;β&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt; Cells on White Rats (&amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Rattus norvegicus&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt;) Diabetes Mellitus Models

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) due to impaired insulin secretion and/or increased insulin resistance. Providing binahong leaf steeping (Anredera cordifolia [Tenore] Steen) is one alternative treatment for people with diabetes mellitus using medicinal plants. This research was conducted to find out the right concentration by administering binahong leaf steeping to reduce hyperglycemia in STZ induced rat and to analyze administration of binahong leaf steeping in reducing TNF-α expression in pancreatic β cell regeneration. This study used 25 white rats (Rattus novergicus) which were divided into 5 groups: group 1, negative control (K-), group 2, positive control (K+), groups 3, 4, and 5. With STZ induction, each is given a dose of binahong leaf steeping, 50.4 mg/180ml of water; 100.8 mg/180ml of water and 151.2 mg/180ml of water for 14 days. The results showed that the administration of binahong leaf steeping to STZ induced rat could reduce glucose rats in a row by 130.00, respectively; 117,23 and 112,45 and steeping binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia [Ten] S) significantly influence the reduction in TNF-α expression in pancreatic β cell regeneration. Thus, this study can be concluded that the right dose to reduce hyperglycemic and regeneration of pancreatic β cells produced by STZ induced rats is 151.2 mg/180ml of water and statistically influences in reducing TNF-α expression in pancreatic β cell regeneration.

Simulasi Docking Senyawa Aktif Daun Binahong Sebagai Inhibitor Enzyme Aldose Reductase

The metabolic syndrome is the cause of death around the world caused by diabetic mellitus. Binahong leaf is a kind of plant that is widely used to treat various diseases. This study aims to investigate the inhibitory activity of binahong leaves compound in inhibiting the aldose reductase which has role of converting glucose into sorbitol by docking simulation. The compound of binahong leaves consists of ursolic acid, vitexin, and oleonolic acid (ligand testing). These compound were taken from PubChem site, while aldose reductase enzyme (receptor) was obtained from the world protein bank with PDB 2HV5 code. This study incorporated in silica technique by using Auto dock vina software, Discovery Studio and Ligplot as visualization. The result of grid box optimization by redocking comparative ligand was 0.7Å RMSD. The docking result showed that the free Gibbs energy (∆G) of aldose reductase was (-11.7), Vitexin (-8.3), Ursolic acid (-7.7) and Oleonolic acid (-8.6). These value suggested that there was a stable inhibition reaction from the binahong leaves compound and the comparative ligand. Based on the Lipinski Rule, the composition of binahong leaves compound meets the Lipinski Rule criteria which means this medicine can be used orally except for vitexin and comparative ligands of zopolrestate which exceed the number of the atom.

The Potency of Anredera cordifolia as Botanical Pesticide for Sustainable Blast Disease (Pyricularia oryzae) Management on Paddy

Blast disease (Pyricularia oryzae) is one of the most important diseases of rice that can significantly reduce paddy production. This disease causes a potential loss of 3.65 tonnes/ha with loss percentages ranging from 60-100% if the disease is not handled properly. In spite of the issue of the negative effects of synthetic pesticide usage, the blast disease is commonly controlled using synthetic fungicides. Therefore, the exploration of potential botanical pesticides may provide safer and environmentally friendly blast disease management. This study aimed to test the potential of binahong plant (Anredera cordifolia) as botanical fungicide to inhibit the growth of P. oryzae and the development of blast disease in laboratory testing. The experiments were arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 7 treatments of 5 extract concentrations and 2 controls. All treatments were repeated 5 times. The effectiveness of binahong leaf extract in controlling the pathogen and the disease was tested using poisoned food technique and detached leaf assay. The binahong leaf extract tested in the concentration range of 0.25-2% showed the ability to inhibit the growth of P. oryzae with the highest colony growth inhibition of 25.11%. Characteristics of P. oryzae mycelium and colony in the binahong leaf extract treatment were different from the control treatment. The treatment of paddy leaves with binahong leaf extract suppressed the blast disease development through the lessening of diseased paddy leaf area percentages. This study indicates the potency of binahong leaf extract for sustainable rice blast disease management.

Pembudidayaan dan Pembuatan Teh Daun Binahong untuk Mengobati Penyakit Asam Urat

The community service program aims to introduce binahong plants, and its benefits to overcome gout and how to cultivate. The community will be given the skill of how to make binahong leaf tea so that utilization of binahong leaves to overcome gout become more practical, right doses so the goal of therapy for gout can be achieved. Gout is one form of arthritis that is often associated with reddish, swollen, hot and stiff joints. The prevalence of gout from the year is increasing. Men have a higher risk of gout than women. Community efforts in treating gout using chemical drugs have been shown to cause serious side effects. The use of herbal medicine can be used as an alternative therapy in dealing with this disease. The binahong plant is an empirically widely used plant to treat various illness. One of them is gout. The use of this plant in gout support therapy is essential because, from the research result, this plant has many properties with minimal toxicity. The method used in this service is by providing counselling and training. The results of evaluating the implementation of cultivation and making of binahong leaf tea for the treatment of gout, many as 29 residents of RT 02 Mendalo Indah Jambi, Luar Kota Village. The benefits of binahong as a treatment for gout as well as residents also know how to cultivate binahong for self-treatment and economic improvement container of the citizens.

Assessment of Sarocladium oryzae Growth Inhibition, the Causal Agent of Rice Sheath Rot Disease, Using Methanol Extract of Binahong Leaves

Sheath rot disease caused by Sarocladium oryzae is an important disease on rice. The pathogen that infects uppermost leaf sheath enclosing to the young panicles can cause yield losses up to 85%. Though the disease is commonly controlled using synthetic fungicides, the use of natural products that safer to the environment have been enormously explored. The research aimed to test growth inhibition of S. oryzae colony using methanol leaf extract of binahong (Anredera cordifolia). The research was carried out from June until December 2017 at the Laboratory of Biotechnology Plant Protection, Department of Plant Pest and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran. The method used was Randomized Complete Design consisted of six treatments and four replications. The treatments were five concentrations of binahong leaf extract of 0.125%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, 2% and one control treatment. The result showed that binahong leaf extract did not inhibit the growth of S. oryzae. The highest inhibition percentage of 4.55% at 0.25% concentration was considered to be a low inhibition category. Although the colony growth of S. oryzae was not significantly inhibited, the extract caused hyphal abnormalities. This actually shows the antifungal potency of the binahong leaf extract that needed further examination with more adequate methods.Keywords : Anredera cordifolia, botanical pesticide, rice sheath rot

Toxicity Effect by Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) Leaf Extract in Histopathology and Liver Weight of Guinea Pigs (Cavia cobaya)

The aim of this research was to determine the toxic effect of Anredera cordifolia leaf extract on the Cavia cobaya liver which was evaluated by the histopathological examination of liver tissue. The materials used were 8 female guinea pigs 2.5 months old that were divided into 4 groups by simple random sampling, each treatment was given to 2 female C. cobaya. Treatments given were 0, 10, 50 and 90 mg of A. cordifolia leaf extract/head, designated as T0, T1, T2 and T3, respectively. Materials were given treatment daily as long as 10 days prepartum. All of the guinea pigs were slaughtered at day 11, and the liver were taken to examined their histopathological changes. Each of the liver tissues were processed by paraffin block-embedded and hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining method. The results of this study indicate the presence of albuminosa degeneration or mild degeneration (DH +) from group control and hydropic degeneration or moderate degeneration (DH ++) in all treatment groups and the weight of C. cobaya liver which was given an extract of A. cordifolia 50 mg/head was not significantly different from the control but was significantly different from 10 and 90 mg/head. The conclusion was Binahong's (A. cordifolia) leaves extract up to the dosage 90 mg/head had no significantly toxicity effect on the liver of guinea pigs (C. cobaya).

The effect of sitting and soaking therapy with binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia) decoction on perineal wound healing

Objective: To analyze the effect of sitting and soaking therapy with the decoction of Anredera cordifolia on the perineal wound healing in postpartum period mothers.Materials and Methods: The research method used is the Quasi-Experiment with pretest-posttest control group design, a sample of 62 primiparous postpartum period mothers with 2nd-grade perineal rupture. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling to obtain 31 respondents treated by 31 respondents. The wound healing variable was observed using the REEDA scale. The characteristic analysis is tested using Mann-Whitney statistical test, while to test the effect analysis is tested using the Wilcoxon test.Results: The results of this study in the intervention group showed 52.71% was cured after getting treatment for perineal wounds sitting and soaking therapy with the decoction of Anredera cordifolia. On the other hand, in the control group, using only clean water shows 27.90% recovered. Analysis data effect of using the decoction of Anredera cordifolia 25% containing on perineal wound healing showed results with Wilcoxon Test with value (p&lt;0.05).Conclusion: Based on this result there is an effect of sitting and soaking therapy with the decoction of Anredera cordifolia on perineal wound healing for postpartum mothers.

Efektifitas Anti Inflamasi Formulasi Kunyit (Curcuma Longa), Daun Binahong (Anredera Cordifolia) Dan Daun Sambiloto (Andrographis Paniculata) Terhadap Luka Sayat Pada Kelinci

Background: Perineal lacerations are tears that occur in the perineum because of the second stage of labor. The Javanese people do the purpose of this study is the effectiveness of the anti-inflammatory formulation of turmeric (Curcuma longa), leaves of Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) and leaves of Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) against incisions in rabbits. Method: The method used in this study is the method in this study. This research uses a quantitative method with a type of pure treatment research in the form of a pre-post test design. The sample in this study was 10 rabbits per group in 5 groups. Results: There was an anti-inflammatory effect of the turmeric formulation, binahong leaves of bitter leaf (F1, F2, and F3) in the incision wound in rabbits (ρ &lt;0.001). There is an anti-inflammatory effect of turmeric formulation, binahong leaves of a bitter leaf on leukocyte levels in rabbit incisions in F1, F2, and F3 compared to the control group (ρ &lt;0.001). Conclusion: Turmeric formula, binahong leaf, bitter leaf (F1, F2, and F3) in the incision in rabbits can improve the wound healing process.

Antibacterial activity of pasteurized milk supplemented with binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) and sukrose toward Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus

The functional quality of pasteurized milk need to be improved by giving natural ingredients such as the addition of binahong leaf extract and sucrose. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of binahong leaf extract and the appropriate sucrose on the antibacterial activity of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with 2 (two) factors. The first factor (A) is the concentration of Binahong leaf extract (0%, 4%, 5%, 6%) and the second factor (B) is the concentration of sucrose (0%, 5%, 7%, 9%) of each treatment. repeated 3 times. Antibacterial activity of binahong leaf extract significantly affected the inhibition of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Inhibition of pasteurized milk against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was not affected by sucrose antibacterial activity and the intrusion between the two treatments (binahong leaf extract and sucrose). Binahong leaf extract concentration of 5-6% can increase inhibition of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Effectiveness of Therapy Topical Binahong Leaf Extract in Modern Wound Care for Healing Diabetic Wounds in Modern Wound Care Homes Husada Prima Mandiri Mojokerto

One of the diabetes mellitus syndromes is diabetic wounds. Diabetic wound treatment is good for preventing infection and amputation. Treatment of wounds that can heal wounds and develop at this time is modern wound care using topical therapy / modern clothing, where expensive costs require care that requires a large cost. Plants that can be used to heal wounds are leaves of binahong because they contain flavonoids, oleanolic acid, protein, ascorbic acid. and saponins. This study aims to determine topical treatment of leaf extract in modern treatments to treat diabetic wounds. The design of this study was a quasi experiment with a non equivalent control group design. The population in this study were people with diabetes mellitus with diabetic wounds at 34 Modern Husada Prima Mandiri Wound Care Homes. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling with a sample of 32 people. Data collection uses MANUAL BWAT. The results showed that the average score was lowest for groups (7.69 &lt;8.00). The results of the analysis of researchers in groups were effective and effective diabetic wounds. This is because there are differences that are on average not too good for the second group (Difference 0.31). In addition, the average GDA, vascularization conditions and losses in the groups were worse with the control groups, where they could affect the wound. Ascorbic acid content and protein in binahong leaf extract help grow granulation tissue, support granulation tissue and accelerate epithelialization.

Potential Formula D'Anlov as Food Preserve

The use of chemicals as food preservatives needs to be reduced so that alternative natural preservative solutions are needed. The formula of binahong leaf powder and aloe vera gel (D'Anlov) can be used as an alternative to natural preservatives. Food and drinks in the form of donuts and dragon fruit juice are added to the mixture of binahong leaf powder and aloe vera gel with a composition of 1: 2; 2: 1; 2: 2. The organoleptic donuts and dragon fruit juice were tested by 25 trained panelists. Donuts and dragon fruit are stored within 1, 3, 5 days at 18°C, with daily observations to see the shelf life and analysis of the number of bacteria using the methods Total Plate Count (TPC) and Most Probable Number (MPN). The content of saponins, flavonoids, quinones, steroids, monoterpenoids and sesquiterpenoids in binahong leaves and saponins in aloe vera obtained in D'Anlov has functioned as antibacterial so that donuts and dragon fruit juice become more durable Addition of D'Anlov with a composition of 2: 1 in Donut making provides the best taste and has the longest shelf life at 18°C. Pure dragon fruit juice has the best taste even though it cannot hold it, while dragon fruit juice plus D'Anlov 2: 1 has the longest shelf life at 18°C.

Optimization of Water Fraction Gel Formula of Binahong Leaf (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steen) With Gelling Agent of Sodium Alginate and Carboxymethyl Chitosan Combination

Water fraction of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steen) leaf has been proven to heal ulcus diabetic. In order to make the use easier and more practical, in this study the water fraction of binahong leaves is formulated in gel preparation form. This study was conducted to obtain a comparison of the amount of sodium alginate and carboxymethyl chitosan as gelling agent to produce gel that meets the good physical requirements. The method used to determine the amount of comparison of sodium alginate and carboxymethyl chitosan is to use Simplex Lattice Design (SLD). Eight variations of gel formula are designed with the ratio of sodium alginate: carboxymethyl chitosan as follows: F1 (0:3% w/w), F2 (0:3% w/w), F3 (0.75:2.25% w/w), F4 (1.5:1.5 % w/w), F5 (1.5:1.5% w/w), F6 (2.25:0.75% w/w), F7 (3:0% w/w), F8 (3:0% w/w). Physical parameters observed included pH, viscosity, dispersion, and adherence. Data obtained compared with the actual conducted by researchers using one sample test t-test with 95% confidence level. Based on the results of the study, increased sodium alginate concentration can increase viscosity and adhesiveness and decrease the pH and spreadability of the gel. One sample t-test analysis shows that there is no significant difference between predicted parameter value and actual result so SLD equation can be used to construct gel formula of water fraction of binahong leaf. The conclusion is a combination of sodium alginate 1.546% w/w and carboxymethyl chitosan 1.454% w/w yield gel optimum. Physical parameter response of optimum formula is pH 5.86; viscosity 2000 cps; spreadability of 21,96 cm2; and adhesiveness of 19,81 seconds.
