The All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Pipes (VNITI) has developed a technology for producing and preparing ready-to-install lots of bimetallic tubes (steel 08KhI8NIOT) clad on the outslde with nickel NP-2. In preparing two-layer semifinished tubes, tubes of the following dimensions were used: nickel, 141 x 8.5 x 400 mm; stainless steel, 120 x 37 x 400mmo The contact surface was subjected to thorough chemical treatment.
