“Leadership and Smart Environment Policy” Studi Kasus Implementasi Smart Environment di Pekanbaru

This research aims to analyze Leadership and Smart Environment Policy: A Case Study Implementation of Smart Environment in Pekanbaru. One of the problems that is still a frightening threat to the sustainability of the environment and people's lives in the future. Pekanbaru City is one of the big cities in Indonesia, located in Riau Province. With the significant increase in population, the environmental problems experienced in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province are very complex, starting from the accumulation of rubbish, floods, forest fires, pollution and so on. The research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a library research approach as the basis for researchers in this journal, by conducting in-depth reviews of national journals and references that are reputable and can be accounted for in the accuracy of data information. The result of this research is the application of a smart environment to create an environment that provides comfort for its residents, beauty for those who see it both materially and immaterially, and resource conservation in an effort to reduce urban waste can be said to be successful. So it can create a smart environment. The aim of a smart environment is to be able to change a colony that was originally dirty, smelly and filthy into a colony that is clean, comfortable and attractive. Therefore, a smart environment policy is needed to create a green city in Pekanbaru City.

Analisis Penggunaan E-Wallet Terhadap Mahasiswa Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara Tahun 2022

The background of this thesis research is that the development of the digitalization era is getting faster and faster, demanding changes in the transaction sector using digital applications (E-Wallets) that are increasingly modern and efficient. The times have given rise to various payment methods through digital applications such as OVO and DANA.The use of e-wallets in big cities in Indonesia is increasing every year. Most users of e-wallets are millennials, especially students. This study examines the use of e-wallets among students, especially at the Islamic University of North Sumatra, such as how students know about e-wallets, the impact of using e-wallets, and problems using e-wallets in transactions. This research method uses a quantitative research type. The data source used is primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents, namely students of the Islamic University of North Sumatra, as many as 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is the stratified random sampling technique. Questionnaire data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 by carrying out several stages of data analysis test, validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test (t and F test) and the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the study with the partial test (t), there is a positive and significant effect in the OVO and DANA (X1) E-Wallet application on students as evidenced by the value obtained by t-count t-table, namely 2.124 1.984 and a significance value of 0.308 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, and there is no positive and significant effect on the impact of using E-Wallet (X2) and problems using E-Wallet on students (Y ) as evidenced by the financial literacy value (X2) obtained by t-count t-table, namely 2.475 1.984 and a significance value of 0.720 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. While using the simultaneous test (F) it is known that the F-count value is 0.391 F- table of 1.984 and Prob α = 0.760 0.05 so that it can be said simultaneously that variables X1 (OVO E-Wallet and DANA), X2 (Effects of using E-Wallet), and X3 (Problems using E-Wallet) have a significant and significant effect on Y (UISU Student). The coefficient of determination R2 shows 0.112 with a percentage of 11.2%.

Measurement of Performance Community-Based Waste Treatment Facility (TPS 3R Saling Asih) Bandung City

Increasing amounts of household waste due to population growth may lead to problems if it is not accompanied by an efficient waste management system. Along with efficiency, waste management should include waste reduction which can be implemented through Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R concept). 3R can be conducted in a facility called TPS3R. Bandung, one of the big cities in Indonesia has implemented 3R in TPS3R. There are a growing number of TPS3Rs being built, but most of them lack management capacity. Out of seven TPS3Rs in Bandung City, TPS3R Saling Asih has the lowest capacity to treat the waste which is only 28.89% of the total waste production in the serviced area. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the Level of Service (LoS) TPS3R Saling Asih using indicators scored based on some criteria. The score is weighted according to the importance and the urgency. The indicators are grouped into five aspects i.e., related regulation products, technical-technological, management institutional, financial operational, and participation. The evaluation results gained a relative value of 14.25 indicating less function. The recommendations for the results were preparation for performance improvement focusing on the indicators with low values.

Organizational Commitment Among Employees: A Case Study of Private Higher Education Administrative Staff

Organizational Commitment is considered as one of the most important factors that emotionally attach employees into organization. Such commitment is needed to reach organizational goals. This study aims at exploring and analyzing the Organizational Commitment among administrative staff at private higher education in Jakarta, one of the biggest cities in Indonesia, that consists of thousands of higher education Institutions. The mothod used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data was gathered using questionnaire that consist statements represent three types of Organizational Commitment, which are affective, continuance and normative. The results of this research reveal several facts about the organizational commitment of administrative employees. The first fact shows that the organizational commitment of employees who have worked at private higher education for a long time is higher compared to employees who have worked for less. This shows that emotional bonding between employees and the organization are formed over time. This fact is also supported by data that employees who have a longer work period have stronger emotional bonding than employees who have a shorter work period. However, another fact has been revealed is that the work period doesn’t prevent employees to move to other organizations that provide better opportunities and advantages for them.

PEMBERDAYAAN SANTRI SEBAGAI PEER EDUCATOR DALAM PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT DI PONDOK PESANTREN IRSYADUL IBAD

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, this triggers the emergence of complex health problems in adolescents as a result of the risky behavior they engage in. Technological progress in the world is very rapid, including in Indonesia, with rapid technological developments, adolescent problems in Indonesia are also developing. There are positive things and also negative things in various big cities in Indonesia, around 20 to 30 percent of teenagers admit to having had sex. Youth Posyandu is a form of Community Resource Health Effort (UKBM) which is managed and organized by, by, for and with the community including teenagers in implementing health development to improve the health status and healthy living skills of teenagers. The aim of establishing adolescent health cadres is to provide a platform to facilitate adolescent health needs. The aim of this community service is to increase the role of teenagers in planning, implementation and evaluation, as well as creating a forum for coaching and understanding the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The method used is education about clean and healthy living behavior and training. This service was carried out at the Irsyadul Ibad Islamic boarding school with a target number of 35 students. Activities are carried out with a pre-test stage, an education and discussion implementation stage and an evaluation stage with a post-test. PkM activities with pre-test scores obtained with a comparison mean score between pre-test and post-test was 1.50. There were also 27 (76%) respondents whose knowledge increased, 6 (17%) respondents whose knowledge remained unchanged and 3 (7% ) respondents whose knowledge decreased. The results of the bivariate analysis test with the Wilcoxon T-Test on Pre-test and Post-Test respondents. The results of data testing show a p value = 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded statistically that there is a significant difference in knowledge between knowledge before and after training

How to Recover Halal Tourism Sectors Post-Covid-19 in Jakarta

Tourism is one of the industries most impacted by COVID-19, while DKI Jakarta is one of Indonesia's biggest Muslim-friendly tourist destinations. This study aims to formulate a halal tourism recovery strategy post-COVID-19 with an approach to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of developing recovery plans in Jakarta, the biggest city in Indonesia. An analytical network process with a SWOT network structure was employed. In this method, many respondents are not needed, but what is needed is representation from experts in the field. The survey was conducted with five expert respondents, from academics, practicians, and regulators. The results showed that the benefits of the existing infrastructure, accessibility, and amenities greatly influenced the strength factor. The most significant shortcoming of halal tourism is that it remains misunderstood. Halal tourism, which is appropriate for use during the new normal period, is one of the most important opportunities and risks. There are no standards for organizing, controlling, and reducing the impact of epidemics/disasters on the tourism industry. According to SWOT analysis, priorities for halal tourism recovery strategies include strengthening halal tourism branding, international industrial infrastructure development, increased competitiveness, and service innovation related to halal products and services.

Variables of Self-Regulated Learning as Predictors of Academic Achievement

This study examined the four variables of self-regulated learning, namely processing strategies, regulation strategies, mental models of learning, and learning orientations in predicting students’ academic achievement. The study constituents included 578 first year students [(Female n=479; 82.9%); Male n=99; 17.1%)] enrolled at Faculty of Psychology, in three universities in three big cities in Indonesia, Medan North Sumatra (n=258; 44.6%), Jakarta the capital city (n=209; 36.2%) and Surabaya East Java (n=111; 19.2%). The range of the participants’ age was from 17 to 23 years, and the mean age was 18.99 years. The Indonesia version of Vermunt’s Inventory of Learning Styles (ILS) was implemented to measure the four variables of self-regulated learning. The result of this study revealed that the four variables of self-regulated learning were significant predictors of students’ academic achievement. The study also showed the differences in the four variables of self-regulated learning in terms of gender and the university.

Analysis Of The Influence Of E-Word Of Mouth, Brand Image And E-Service Quality On Repurchase Intention Of Digital Bank Customers

It is feasible to switch from traditional banks to digital banks by keeping up with the trends. Using brand image as an intervening variable, this study examines the impact of e-word-of-mouth and e-service quality on repurchase intention. Purposive sampling, a nonprobability sampling approach, was employed to select the sample size, which consisted of 100 respondents who resided in some big cities in Indonesia and had used service of the bank. The respondents were contacted by Google Form. Using the SmartPLS Software program, partial least squares were used to evaluate the questionnaire responses. The findings demonstrated that while e-word-of-mouth and e-service quality have an impact on repurchase intention, they have no direct effect on brand image. Additionally, although e-service quality directly influences repurchase intention through brand image, e-word of mouth has no direct effect on this trait.

The role of social media marketing (SMM) in building frozen food brand loyalty

Social media platforms help businesses connect, communicate, and access information, boosting brand loyalty and awareness. This study aims to determine the relationship between social media marketing, brand engagement, and brand trust toward customer experience and brand loyalty. The focus is on the importance of the role of social media marketing for frozen food brands. The paper uses a descriptive research design and a quantitative approach where data were collected by distributing online questionnaires among frozen food consumers through Google Forms. The selected 250 respondents were located in big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bandung. The data were processed using SmartPLS v.4.0.0 to examine the results of the outer and inner models. The results show that social media marketing has a significant effect on brand trust. In addition, brand engagement has a significant effect on customer experience. Then, social media marketing has an insignificant effect on brand engagement. Brand trust has an insignificant effect on customer experience. Next, the customer experience has an insignificant impact on brand loyalty. In addition, a frozen food company’s social media advertising might not be able to reach its intended audience, which leads to little engagement. To preserve consistency and transparency, a brand should maintain open communication, a customer-centric strategy, and customer engagement through messaging, dialogues, and user-generated content.

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran as an educational institution seeks to support the government to reduce dependence on electrical energy produced with fossil fuels by seeking the potential of electrical energy sourced from renewable energy sources. One of the energies that has the potential as alternative energy is wind energy, where kinetic energy from the wind is utilized into electrical energy using wind turbines. Seribu islands in the megacities of Jakarta on the frontlines of the climate crisis

Jakarta, the biggest city in Indonesia, has one district that consists of hundreds of islands that face severe climate hazards called the Seribu Islands complex. This study explores the evidence of local climate trends, the potential impact, and its policy intervention on Seribu Islands, which are classified as small island states and widely recognized as being especially at risk from climate change, threatening their economic and social growth. Long-term in-situ climate data, satellite data, interviews with local stakeholders, and literature reviews were utilized to conduct an exploratory descriptive analysis. The result revealed that Seribu Island experienced a 2.2°C increase in minimum temperature from 1980 until 2021, 3.5-fold of the frequency of extreme temperature and precipitation, 4.17 mm/year of sea level rise, and 10.8 ha land expansion in the densest island. Moreover, about 67% of the inhabitant’s islands were occupied by built-up areas that cover more than 50% of the region. Further, under the worst-case SLR scenario, about 58.4% of the area will be affected, and about 29 islands will disappear. This evidence was also reinforced by every single local respondent’s viewpoint who felt that climate change is occurring in the region. Even though the region faces a severe threat of climate change, the issue of climate change adaptation has not been mainstreamed yet into their local policy. Therefore, the urgency of a real-time climate ground station, a real-time early warning system, and establishing a Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at the district level have yet to be addressed. Furthermore, the knowledge gained from such case studies is outlined, along with some scientific evidence that may assist small island states in better fostering the opportunities provided by climate change adaptation.

History of Edu-Tourism for Strengthening Nationalism and Heroism in the City of Surabaya

Surabaya is a big city in Indonesia and is known as the city of heroes. Surabaya received the title of city of heroes because of the struggle to defend Indonesia's independence from colonialism, especially during the November 10, 1945 War. The history of this city of heroes must always be so that it can be inherited by future generations as a historical insight that has significant value. Surabaya is rich with historical sites that can be used as examples and take lessons from the historical approach that exists and is attached to the site itself. Modeling in this historical approach can be done through history edu-tourism. This study uses the ADDIE research and development method. The product designed in this research is history edu-tourism. Through tourism, the important historical values ​​of the city of Surabaya can be transformed to the general public, either directly or indirectly in the context of strengthening nationalism. For example, in Surabaya there is the Bung Karno Birth House, the HOS Tjokroaminoto Boarding House, the Museum and the Tomb of dr. Soetomo, Museum W.R. Soepratman and the Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya Museum which can be used as a series of history edu-tourism.

Tinjauan Penerapan Prinsip Pembangunan Berkelanjutan pada Bangunan Indekos Home Sweet Home, Sukajadi, Bandung

Boarding houses or what are often known as boarding houses are buildings that are definitely frequent and often found around campuses, especially in urban areas. A boarding house is a residential or residential building that is intended to be able to accommodate individual residents who are able to accommodate many residents. This causes the boarding house to be one of the buildings that consumes a lot of energy, is prone to generate a lot of waste, and is one of the buildings that is prone to causing environmental problems or global warming. That is why it is important for a boarding house to apply the concept of sustainable design. One of the boarding houses in the city of Bandung is Home Sweet Home which is located around the Maranatha Christian University campus. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of sustainable development principles to Home Sweet Home boarding houses. It is also hoped that this paper can help readers understand how important it is to apply the concept of sustainable design to residential buildings, especially boarding houses. The method used to collect data in writing this article is a qualitative method using a case study theory approach. The result of data analysis from writing this article is that the Home Sweet Home boarding house is a residential building that has not yet implemented a sustainable design. This also shows that there are still many boarding houses or residential buildings in big cities in Indonesia that have not yet implemented the concept of sustainable design.

PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA MA NU MRANGGEN MENGENAI TANGGUNGJAWAB PENGANGKUT DALAM PENGANGKUTAN NIAGA

Public transportation is one of the transportation media that is very necessary for the community and the government to minimize the use of private transportation as well as congestion that is becoming more and more common in big cities in Indonesia. The use of public transportation is carried out by the government through State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Privately-Owned Enterprises (BUMS) through land, sea and air transportation. Public transportation in the past 1 (one) decade has become the main center of attention for the central and regional governments in order to minimize the accident rate on public transportation and make various policies to protect passengers and their heirs if unwanted things happen. So far, many students do not know the responsibilities of carriers in public transportation, therefore it is necessary to do community service in the form of outreach to increase the understanding of MA NU Mranggen students regarding the responsibilities of carriers in public transportation. This service is carried out by means of lectures and direct questions and answers and evaluation by distributing questionnaires before and after the activity is carried out. This service is carried out by an implementation team consisting of 1 (one) chairperson, and 2 (two) members. The implementation team is lecturers at the Faculty of Law, University of Semarang who are competent in mastering material regarding the responsibilities of carriers in commercial transport. The results of the dedication which took the theme of the rights of persons with disabilities, based on an average increase of 70.0%.

Pengaruh Gerak U-Turn pada Bukaan Median terhadap Karakteristik Arus Lalu Lintas

Transportation problems in big cities in Indonesia, especially on Jalan R. Suprapto, Ketapang Regency are increasing from time to time in line with population growth, rapid growth in the number of vehicles and vehicle ownership, urbanization and an inefficient public transportation system. This has an impact on the decrease in the performance level of the road segment, including the U-Turn motion behavior at the road median opening. This study aims to determine traffic characteristics, road capacity, road service level (LOS), the average time for vehicles to perform U-turns, queue lengths and alternatives that will be applied in this study based on the 1997 MKJI guidelines. From the results of research and discussion on Jalan R. Suprapto the characteristic value of traffic flow which consists of traffic volume at rush hour from the direction of Jl. R. Suprapto – Jl. Gatot Subroto at 513.8 smp/hour and for the direction of Jl. Gatot Subroto – Jl. R. Suprapto at 651.35 smp/hour. The vehicle speed is 49.86 km/hour. Traffic density for the direction of Jl. R. Suprapto – Jl. Gatot Subroto of 10.24 smp/km and for the direction of Jl. Gatot Subroto – Jl. R. Suprapto 13.1 pcu/km. The road segment capacity is 5,422.3 pcu/hour. Mapping of Carbon Dioxide (Co2) Emissions Due To Increased Vehicle Volume in Mataram City

The high level of population and activities in the city of Mataram also increases the use of vehicles as a secondary need for the community to help with daily activities in land transportation. As the use of vehicles increases, the demand for fuel oil (BBM) also increases. Fuel is a material that can be converted into energy by burning fuel where the fuel contains heat energy that can be released and manipulated. Vehicle emissions are a major source of pollution in big cities in Indonesia. CO2 is a compound consisting of the elements carbon and oxygen with the writing CO2. Carbon dioxide is a gaseous element that exists at atmospheric temperature and pressure. The hope for this research is to determine CO2 levels in the city of Mataram and prevent CO2 emissions from increasing. The results of calculating the highest vehicle volume are located in segment III Jalan Majapahit of 3506 pcu/hour which occurs at 17:00 - 17:15 WITA. The results of the regression analysis between vehicle volume as the X variable and CO2 gas emissions as the Y variable on the five road segments conducted by the study were y = 134.57 ln(x) - 970.14 with an R2 value of 0.8661 included in the 0.80 interval – 1,000 which means that the strength of the relationship between vehicle volume and CO2 emissions has a very strong relationship and vehicle volume contributes 86.6165% to CO2 emissions. Based on the results of the discussion that was carried out, the CO2 gas emission levels in all road segments carried out had an average CO2 gas emission level value of 103.31 – 108.56 kg/hour.

An Inclusive Early Childhood Education Setting according to Practitioners’ Experiences in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

In Indonesia, the definition of inclusive education tends to be a narrow one. Even though the goal of the national policy on inclusive education underlines non-discrimination for all learners, early childhood education (ECE) practices still do not accommodate every child’s needs. This study focuses on inclusive practices in ECE by exploring the provision of inclusive ECE in Yogyakarta, one of the big cities in Indonesia, where ECE inclusive pedagogy has been implemented for more than five years. By exploring ECE practitioners’ experiences, this study aims to discuss the (mis)alignments between inclusive education policy and practices. The data sources are two-fold. First, we conducted online interviews with ECE manager and teachers (N = 5). The second form of data comprised ECE teachers’ online discussions on the topic of inclusion. The data collected were analysed using a thematic analysis method. The results indicate that distributed leadership, an organisational culture that respects diversity, and inclusive ECE pedagogy are the main aspects that need to be developed to enable inclusive ECE.

Some claim that silver men have agencies that actively recruit them from various regions and place them in specific locations, usually at urban red lights. There are more silver age people who are children than those who drop out of school because these people cannot continue their education because of the weak economy. Some of them are still in school.

Transgender dalam Perspektif Hukum Hak Asasi Manusia Internasional dan Hukum Positif di Indonesia

Human rights become a hot world issue when their recognition becomes a commitment of every country in the world. The global community is also worried about violations of human rights which frequently occur and are becoming more massive as time goes by. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues became increasingly hot on the lips of the public when there was news in the mass media about the ASEAN-wide LGBT meeting being held in Jakarta last July. In this article, the author uses normative juridical research methods. The author will review secondary legal materials, including laws, books, journals and literature related to the research subject, and explain them through descriptive analysis. 20th century, issues surrounding transgender identity began to emerge in various big cities in Indonesia. In the context of performing and martial arts, as well as among male communities in some ethnic groups, same-sex interactions have become common. Human Rights freedoms are supported by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, namely liberalization of freedom of expression, especially transgender sexual behavior. Transgender issues began to emerge in several large cities in Indonesia at the beginning of the 20th century. Then it began to experience rapid development around the 1960s. Indonesia is a country that respects and upholds human rights in its constitution. The lack of clarity regarding transgender people in both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and positive law in Indonesia is used as an opportunity for transgender people to fight for their rights

Settlement land management based on land capability in Batu City

Urban expansion occurs in big cities in Indonesia, including Batu City. An increase in the built-up area occurred in Batu City by 554.4 ha or 2.78%, and a decrease in agricultural land by 341.1 ha occurred in 2008-2018. If the Batu City government does not pay attention to the availability of environmental services or consider the geomorphological conditions of Batu City for developing settlements. In that case, it will have an environmental impact. The environmental problem in Batu City during the 2009-2019 period was an increase in greenhouse gases by 0.75% per year. Batu City is located in a hilly area. It is necessary to explore land capability in Batu City so that land use planning follows its environmental services and is sustainable. This study aimed to determine the land capability for settlements in Batu City based on the Regulation of the State Minister for the Environment Number 17 of 2009 concerning Guidelines for Determining Environmental Supporting Capacity in Regional Spatial Planning. This study used a geographic information system (GIS) and ArcGIS 10.8 software. The method used was overlapping soil texture, slope, drainage, effective soil depth, erosion, and flood potential maps. Batu City has a slope of 30-45% and a total area of 6,581.03 ha or 33% of the area of Batu City. The largest erosion rate reached 10,326.33 ha or 52% of the total area of Batu City. Erosion occurs on land used for agriculture or moorland. Soil protection and erosion control measures are strongly recommended. The area around Batu City, 1,174.28 ha, experienced considerable erosion, and 2,631.62 ha of land in Batu City is used for settlements. Land capability analysis can determine the starting point or basis for settlement land management in Batu City, which has a slope of more than 15%.
