The Role of Extra-Campus Organization in Building "Bela Negara" Character: Case of Cipayung Group of East Java

This study aims to explore the role of the Extra-Campus Student Organizationsincorporated in the Cipayung Group, namely: Indonesian National StudentMovement (GMNI), Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII), IndonesianStudent Association (HMI), Indonesian Christian Student Movement (GMKI) ),and the Catholic Students Association of the Republic of Indonesia (PMKRI) inraising awareness of the nation defense in East Java. This study uses a qualitativeapproach with data collection techniques in the form of content analysis ofcredible news, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD) oninformants or informants selected based on purposive techniques. The dataanalysis technique used is an interactive model, and the data validity test techniqueuses triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the Copying Group interms of regeneration implanted the values of the country's defense throughcompulsory material delivered in activities ranging from member recruitment,primary education and training, and further training. In terms of scientific studiesand issues, the Copying Group often conducts study discussions that also carry thetheme of defending the country. In terms of student actions or movements, thevalues of state defense instilled through efforts to criticize government policiesthat are considered non-Pancasila. Copying Group members also carry outcommunity service which aims to instill in their members that love for themotherland and willingness to sacrifice for the nation and state. Then it can beconcluded that the Copying Group has a role in raising awareness of the defense ofthe student state in East Java.

Perjuangan Rakyat Bela Negara Dalam Menghadapi Wabah COVID-19 (Struggle of the People of the Country's Descending in the Face of the COVID-19 Outbreak)

Indonesian Abstract: Bangsa Indonesia sedang mengalami Bencana Nasional yaitu Pandemi Covid-19. Pandemi ini adalah epidemi penyakit yang menyebar di seluruh dunia yang muncul pertama kali di Wuhan China pada akhir tahun 2019. Kondisi ini menjadi ancaman serius dan mencemaskan bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia yang berimbas pada berbagai aspek kehidupan. Bila kondisi ini dianggap sebagai medan pertempuran menghadapi Wabah, dokter dan petugas kesehatan adalah prajurit yang harus berada di garis depan. Tetapi, tidak cukup hanya mengandalkan dokter, petugas kesehatan, dan pemerintah saja dalam berjuang memerangi wabah COVID-19 ini, kita juga sebagai rakyat Indonesia harus ikut berjuang memerangi wabah tersebut. Konten ini menjelaskan tentang pengetahuan bela negara, aktualisasi negara, ancaman terhadap negara serta penerapan bela negara dalam menghadapi bencana COVID-19. English Abstract: The Indonesian nation is undergoing a National Disaster namely the Pandemic COVID-19. This pandemic is a disease epidemic spreading around the world that first appeared in Wuhan China at the end of 2019. This condition poses a serious and worrying threat to all Indonesian people who impact on various aspects of life. If this condition is considered a battleground against the Plague, doctors and health workers are soldiers who must be at the forefront. However, it is not enough just to rely on doctors, health workers, and the government alone in the fight against this COVID-19 outbreak, we also as the people of Indonesia must fight to fight the outbreak. This content explains about the knowledge of the defense of the actualization of the state, threat of the state as well as the application of the defense of the state in the face of the COVID-19 disaster.

PERAN BELA NEGARA MELAWAN COVID-19 (The Role of Defending the Country Againts COVID-19)

Indonesian Abstract: Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan pendidikan yang mengarahkan kesadaran warga negara akan pentingnya bernegara dengan menambahkan rasa cinta tanah air dan kepeduliannya terhadap negara. Visualization 3D Mosaik Picture Formation

This study aims to reveal and explore the visualization of the formation of Mosaic 3D Formation of 2,957 new students at UPN Veteran Jakarta. Visualization through the concept of Aerial Cinematography is expected to be an aesthetic enhancer in mosaic works. This mosaic is a work of art made of elements and arranged so that it becomes a 3-dimensional image or design. This research was designed as an experimental study which focused on two parts. First, try out the composition of the picture elements to form a unity that is in harmony with the overall formation movement. The second trial focused on visual exploration, which originated from the concept of aerial cinematography. The resulting mosaic visualization consists of three images with the writing of Patribera 2019, Kampus Bela Negara and PIKIR work culture logo with super high angles and long distances or called birds point of view.

CONTRIBUTION ANALYSIS OF THE STATE DEFENSE AWARENESS PROGRAMME TOWARDS THE NATIONAL CHARACTER BUILDING

<p>Globalization always lead to various kinds of influences, both negative nor positive, on the national character. In Indonesia, globalization has caused a significant degradation of national character which ended by the poor national character of the Indonesia’s young generation. In order to minimalize this impact, the Indonesian government has launched a program, named State Defense Awareness Programme (<em>Program Pembinaan Kesadaran Bela Negara</em>), in order to perform the mental revolution program and building the national character of Indonesia’s young generation, which has influenced by the negative effect of globalization. But until now, the Indonesian citizens are still not convinced that State Defense Awareness Programme can be an appropriate means in building the national character of Indonesian citizens. This condition was supported by the emergence of negative stigma related to State Defense Awareness Programme, which ultimately reduces the level of people participation in the program. This article was written by using a systematic approach and contribution analysis method. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for the Indonesian government and citizens in implementing and joining this program. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluded that State Defense Awareness Programme has a significant contribution towards national character building of Indonesia’s young generation. A comprehensive and integrated implementation of this program will produce citizens or state defense cadres who has highly character of nationalism, patriotism, solidarity, skill, collaboration, discipline, leadership and so on, especially for Indonesians who are born and grow up on border areas or foreign country and have experienced a significant shift of state defense awareness. This program will also produce resilient, militant, and nationally awareness citizens based on the State Defense, Pancasila values and the 1945 Constitution norms.</p>

Application of Personal Branding as a Campus “Bela Negara” at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur

The application of personal branding has become a central element in new management practices throughout the University. Personal branding plays a role in shaping the differentiation produced by a university. Personal branding is considered important for the sustainability of an organization in introducing brands in the community. Some organizations continue to improve and introduce personal branding, including universities in Indonesia. One of the higher education that has strong personal branding is the East Java National Development University 'UPN' East Java. UPN "Veteran" East Java as a Campus “Bela Negara” that emphasizes the values of defending the country as a good citizen to be applied in universities. Various theories and literature approach, applying positive personal branding can be influenced by institution image, institution reputation, and social media. The purpose of the study was to see how much institution image, institution reputation and social media influence the personal branding owned by UPN "Veteran" East Java. The sample in this study were students who chose to study in the Study Program of FISIP Business Administration UPN "Veteran" East Java as many as 200 respondents, with a sampling technique method that is purposive sampling. Data analysis uses a model structure (PLS-SEM) with smart pls that are used to test the relationship and influence between research variables. The results of this research show that institution image is positively and significantly related to institution reputation but insignificant on personal branding. On the other hand, the institution reputation is positively and significantly related to personal branding and social media owned by universities can influence personal branding.

The Implementation of State Defense Values to Strengthen Border Community in Dealing with The Threat of Proxy War: Case Study of Sungai Limau Village, Central Sebatik Sub-District, Nunukan District, North Kalimantan Province

<p>Conditions of border area village of Sungai Limau, District Central Sebatik Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan province was geographically adjacent to the neighbour country Malaysia and the existence of two community groups who are different, both ethnically and religiously, have become challenges in the social life in Borderland area. From the aspect of Defense Studies, the dynamics could be potential targets of the Proxy War through the Border Region. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of Bela Negara (state defense) values to address it. This study aims to analyze the form in implementing the state defense values of the state defense in the border village of Sungai Limau in facing various challenges such as the susceptible threat of proxy war, using an analysis tool of the Bela Negara conception (State Defense) and Proxy War and Conception of Frontier Society. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting data obtains from interviews, observation, and literature. The result shows that the implementation of the state defense values among the frontier communities in Sungai Limau has the potential to be developed into power in the form of attitudes and practices of national and state awareness and place Pancasila as the state ideology and means of unifying societies that is reflected in the daily life. MODEL PENDIDIKAN PEREDAM PEMIKIRAN DAN GERAKAN RADIKAL BELAJAR DARI KUDUS

<p><em>Educational institutions that produce educated generation is a place of reliance on the growth of generations berakhlakul karimah, friendly, courteous, and obey the rules of the country and religion. However, in reality, there is an educated generation but a terrorist actor. This happens because his life is in the environment (non-educational institutions) are coloring his mindset. Thus, the social environment contributes to the creation of a radical or polite generation. The consequence that must be done by formal and non formal education institutions is to change the learning patterns that text book into education that comes to the field with the content of the values of internal tolerance and inter-religious people. It is also necessary to realize the education of Bela Negara which is being worked by the Ministry of Defense RI era Jokowi-JK President. Tolerant education and state defenses are part of the effort to counter radical reasoning so that educators need to produce learning tips that do not dwell on class and text, it is also necessary to create an education that puts forward the real facts of social as a matter of study. The occurrence of radical reasoning because life is like a frog in a shell so that something different is identified with error. The need for intergovernmental and social elements to raise awareness that true education is the implementation of education in the home environment, community environment, and in educational institutions as a whole, not only in formal educational institutions only. Consequently, the need for learning innovation together in realizing an educated generation with smart and moral potential. Educational tips need to promote tolerant education in order to become a fanatic generation in dealing with differences in ethnicity, religion, and social strata in their environment. This effort is reinforced by the fact that terrorist networks have become an epidemic of acute illness in this country. In fact, the majority of educated perpetrators of terror, both formal education and non-formal religious education (Islamic).</em></p>

STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN CSR-MULTINASIONAL SEBAGAI MODEL CSR BELA NEGARA; STUDI KASUS PT FREEPORT DAN PT CHEVRON

This study aims to develop the model of CSR Bela Negara with an assumption that the ethical value of a company will seek to defend itself for the sake of the sustainability of a business. Starting from the ThreeDimensional Performance Model of Corporate Performance by Archie B. Carroll on CSR's Relationship with Corporate Performance to understand the phenomenon of two different companies, the problematic company (PT.Freeport Indonesia is changing from Contract of Work to IUPK) and company which supports both central and regional regulation (PT.Chevron, fixed with Contract of Work status). There are three elements of concern; categories of understanding of social responsibility, involvement of social problems, and philosophy of accountability. The results of research indicate that awareness of corporate discretion that is able to respond to the needs of the environment, especially the political condition of the state seen a multinational company persist. which persist by emphasizing on CSR-Discretion. For that Conceptual Model of Three Dimensional Companies Archie B Carrol can be developed as a Model of CSR Bela Negara.
