Third variable the can explain influence to Behavioral Intention (BI) was 34.3%. Whereas for Facilitating Conditions (FC) and Behavioral Intention (BI) influence significant towards Use Behavior (UB) with t-test values are 4.013 and 5.636 respectively. As well as second variable the can explain influence on Use Behavior (UB) of 59.3%. So on research explain reception user to use Mobile JKN application with using UTAUT.

Examining ChatGPT adoption among educators in higher educational institutions using extended UTAUT model

PurposeBased on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, this study aims to explore the factors influencing educators’ acceptance and utilization of chat generative pretrained transformer (ChatGPT) in the context of higher educational institutions. This study additionally examines the moderating influence of trust on the association between intention and adoption of ChatGPT.Design/methodology/approachA structured questionnaire was disseminated to 1,214 educators following the purposive sampling method. The hypothesized relationships between the extended UTAUT model constructs and ChatGPT adoption were examined using structural equation modeling.FindingsThe results of this study indicate positive impact of ChatGPT adoption and its use behavior (UB) among educators. Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, facilitating conditions and habit have a positive impact on behavior intention to use this tool among educators in higher education institutions, However, the educators intend to use ChatGPT in a personal capacity and are negatively influenced by the social groups. Moreover, behavior intention to adopt ChatGPT has a larger effect on the UB due to the higher involvement of trust.Practical implicationsThis research adds to the literature on technology adoption by emphasizing the significance of trust in the adoption of emerging technologies, such as big language models. This study’s findings have implications for ChatGPT technology developers, legislators and academics considering the implementation of ChatGPT for teaching and research.Originality/valueThis research investigates ChatGPT adoption among higher education educators using the UTAUT model. It emphasizes the role of trust in adoption, highlights key adoption factors and reveals a paradox: educators are personally inclined to use ChatGPT but hesitant due to negative social influence. This study's novelty lies in its focus on trust and its implications for developers, legislators and educators, offering valuable insights for integrating ChatGPT in education.

Student’s acceptance of the Nearpod application: an investigation in elementary school

<span lang="EN-US">The use of technology can increase teacher innovation in carrying out mass learning. Innovations that can standardize in terms of media use or digital supporting devices that reduce the learning barrier and help students succeed. One of the components of multimedia-based learning media is the Nearpod application. This research aims to ascertain the purpose and behavior of primary school pupils utilizing the Nearpod application via an extension of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT 2) model. The researchers employed a quantitative research method by distributing questionnaires to 217 students at Public Elementary School (SDN) 004 Tanjung Redeb, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data from this study were analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that behavioral intention (BI) is significantly positively influenced by hedonic motivation (HM), habit (H), and habitual behavior (HB). In addition, habit (H) also has a significant positive effect on use behavior (UB). It can conclude this study can explain that the adoption of technology in the elementary school environment has different causal factors.</span>

Could AI Ethical Anxiety, Perceived Ethical Risks and Ethical Awareness About AI Influence University Students’ Use of Generative AI Products? An Ethical Perspective

The study aims to explore the factors that influence university students’ behavioral intention (BI) and use behavior (UB) of generative AI products from an ethical perspective. Referring to ethical decision-making theory, the research model extends the UTAUT2 model with three influencing factors: ethical awareness (EA), perceived ethical risks (PER), and AI ethical anxiety (AIEA). A sample of 226 university students was analysed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling technique (PLS-SEM). The research results further validate the effectiveness of UTAUT2. Furthermore, performance expectancy, hedonistic motivation, price value, and social influence all positively influence university students’ BI to use generative AI products, except for effort expectancy. Facilitating conditions and habit show no significant impact on BI, but they can determine UB. The three extended factors from the ethical perspective play significant roles as well. AIEA and PER are not key determinants of BI. However, AIEA can directly inhibit UB. From the mediation analysis, although PER do not have a direct impact on UB, it inhibits UB indirectly through AIEA. Ethical awareness can positively influence BI. Nevertheless, it can also increase PER. These findings can help university students better accept and ethically use generative AI products.

STUDENT USE BEHAVIOR IN DETERMINING MAJORS: IS IT DETERMINED BY SELF-CONGRUITY, SOCIAL INFLUENCE, INFORMATION USEFULNESS, THROUGH MEDIATING INFORMATION ADOPTION, AND BEHAVIORAL INTENTIONS

Purpose: This studied investigates factors influencing students’ Use Behavior (UB) through Self-Congruity (SC), Social Influence (SI), and Information Usefulness (IU), focusing on direct and mediating variables Behavioral Intention (BI) and Information Adoption (IA). Method: The studied involved 400 12th-grade students, who were selected using simple random sampling and validated used SEM-PLS, confirming the researched hypothesis. The research using simple random sampling. Grade 12 students are crucial for higher education and career decisions. The study included 223 public school and 177 private school students, with 400 students from each stratum, based on the Slovin formula. The researcher contacted foundation owners and school administrators via social media to distribute survey links, collecting 476 questionnaires from 234 private and 242 public schools. Erroneous data was corrected, including participants not in grade 12 or high school, those not yet choosing their tertiary education major, and those who remained vague. Result: This studied found that the variables SC, SI, and BI had a positive and significant influence on students’ UB. Meanwhile, the variable IU had not performed as planned. However, it was possible to raised BI through IA mediation, which eventually boosts students’ UB. Conclusion: This studied offers a fresh theoretical perspective on students’ UB and valuable insights for university administrators. IA helps students internalize new information by linking concepts, forming a complex network of knowledge, understanding meaning, and applying it in various contexts. There was also discussion of limitations and potential researched directions.

Mobile fintech, digital financial inclusion, and gender gap at the bottom of the pyramid: An extension of mobile technology acceptance model

This study aims to predict the determinants of mobile fintech apps and digital financial inclusion from the perspective of the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) segment in Indonesia. To address the complexities of BOP users, this paper theoretically grounded on Mobile Technology Acceptance Model (MTAM) (i.e. mobile usefulness (MU), mobile ease of use (MEU)) along with its relevant extension including personal factor (digital financial literacy (DFL)), financial risk factor (mobile perceived financial cost (MPFC)), and consequent factors (i.e. use behavior (UB), and digital financial inclusion (DFI)). The moderating impact of gender was also tested. A survey instrument that was self-administered and comprised measurement items adapted from prior research was utilized to gather data from 200 mobile fintech BOP users residing in Makassar, South Sulawesi. According to the results of the PLS-SEM test, seven hypotheses were accepted, while two were rejected. In addition, it was confirmed that men play a more prominent role than women in strengthening mobile fintech use and digital financial inclusion.

Students' Behavioural Intention towards Adoption of Online Education: A Study of the Extended UTAUT Model

Online education (o-education) is gaining significant attention from education providers, students, and policy makers. This research explored students’ behaviours and intentions towards online education. The present research utilised the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as a model to investigate these intentions and behaviours. The study incorporated UTAUT predictors along with three additional independent variables. This study adopted a cross-sectional design and used a closed-end questionnaire to collect data from 403 respondents. The data were analysed with SPSS and AMOS by utilising structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques. The results of the SEM analysis indicate that perceived value (PV) and convenience (Cnv) have positive influences on behavioural intention (BI), while perceived risk has a negative impact on behavioural intention (BI). Additionally, facilitating conditions (FC) and behavioural intention (BI) are found to positively influence use behavior (UB). The research findings suggest that demographics, including age, education and gender, influence behavioural intention (BI). The findings of the study have theoretical and practical implications, which are elaborated in the last section of this article.

Minat Pelajar Muslim Menggunakan Mobile Banking

The purpose of this research is to analyze the intention of a Muslim student in using mobile banking using the Unifield Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model approach. This research was conducted in August - September 2022 and the data source for this research was obtained using a survey method with a questionnaire distributed via broadcast to social media. This study uses a quantitative data processing method using SEM PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis with the statistical tool SmartPLS 3.3. The respondents in this study were students on the island of Java who had used mobile banking for at least 1 year. the variables used in this study are Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), Hedonic Motivation (HM), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Religiosity (RE), Habit (HB), Behavior Intention ( BI), Use behavior (UB). The results of this study indicate that HB, HM, and RE, have a significant influence on the intention to use mobile banking BI. While EE, FC, PE, and SI are not accepted and have no significant effect on the intention to use mobile banking BI, so that the HB, and intention using BI, has a significant effect on using mobile banking UB while FC is not accepted and has no significant effect on using mobile banking

Factors Influencing Intention and Behaviour of Agricultural Extension Staff Concerting Post-Covid-19 Digital Technical Guidance: A Study in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Agriculture extension staffs are encouraged to attempt more efficient methods to enhance their competency through digital webinars or technical guidance, in Bahasa Bimbingan Teknis (Bimtek) programs. The research aims to explore factors influencing the intention and behavior of agricultural extension staff towards the Technical guidance online Ministry of Agriculture in Special Region Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research included the Behavior Intention (BI) and Use Behavior (UB) models with significant construct. The research used the quantitative method and analyzed PLS-SEM. One hundred eighty extension staffs participated, chiefly 34-42 years old. All of the indicators passed the outer model assessment. The analysis results conclude that significant effects are Attitude to BI, Control Behavior to BI, Perceived Usefulness to BI, and Behavior Intention to UB. The perception of extension staffs about Technical guidance online can enhance their performance to continue using it in obtaining agricultural technology information, extension materials, information on agricultural policies, and the latest agricultural development programs. The insignificant constructs are Subjective Norm, Motivation, and Perceived Ease to Use. The validated research model explains 61% of the variance (R2 = 0.61) in Attitude, Perceived Usefulness, and Control Behaviour towards Behavior Intention (BI). Moreover, BI explains 8.9% of the variance (R2 = 0.089) in UB of Technical guidance online. This research found that BI and UB have Q2 values of 0.538 and 0.077. The practical implication could be applied as preliminary development planning studies to enhance the efficiency of Technical guidance online as Bank Data.

The unified theory of acceptance and use of DingTalk for educational purposes in China: an extended structural equation model

With educational technology growing by leaps and bounds, synchronous online learning platforms have become a prevalent practice worldwide. Although numerous studies unraveled the behavioral intention of educational technologies with statistical methodology, there is a paucity of that of DingTalk, one of China’s most popular online platforms for synchronous learning. This study aimed to extend the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) by incorporating new constructs and examining the factors that affect users’ behavioral intention and use behavior of DingTalk. The study collected 856 valid responses from China, which were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and Amos 24.0. The findings indicated that (1) effort expectancy (EE), performance expectancy (PE), facilitating conditions (FC), self-efficacy (SE), and received feedback (RF) could significantly impact users’ attitudes toward behavior (ATB); (2) social influence (SI), FC, RF, and ATB could be significant predictors of user behavioral intention (BI); (3) FC, RF, and BI were found to have a significant effect on use behavior (UB); (4) the extended UTAUT model could explain 60.9% of the variance of users’ behavioral intention of DingTalk in China; (5) the study identified ATB and BI as joint mediators between certain variables in the model. The study presented a robust theoretical underpinning to explain the acceptance and use of educational technologies in China and provided insights into the future enhancement of E-learning platforms.

The Factors of Consumer Intension of Using Mobile Payment in Vietnam

Purpose: Within the context of emerging mobile technologies, Mobile payment or M-payment has been introduced as the new trend for payment methods bringing more value and convenience to consumers. However, the development of M-payment services is still quite timid in some Southeast Asia countries including Vietnam. This is also the reason and motivation for the author to do this research. Theoretical framework: The goal of this study is to spot some factors that affect the use behavior (UB) of M-payment consumers in five major metropolises that were most influential on the economy in Vietnam. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative questionnaire was used to measure the responses of participants and Partial Least Squares (PLS) method was employed to analyze the collection data as well as test all hypotheses. Findings: The results indicated that SI has been the important factor leading to the BI to use M-payment followed by SV and SC issues and BI also had a strong influence on the UB of consumers. Since M-payment is still in the infancy stage and is one of the most exciting mobile applications for the next few years in Vietnam, the identification of important factors concerning M-payments. Research, Practical & Social Implications: To investigate the factors affecting UB of Vietnamese M-payment consumers, the researcher proposed a research model which analyzes the impact of various variables extracted from system quality (ST), service quality (SV), security (SC), social influence (SI) on behavioral intention (BI) to use and BI on M-payment UB. Originality/value: This study will assist merchants and software developers to design and improve the systems and services to ensure the full acceptance and continuous use of the systems. Finally, a set of suggestions for the subsequent research works also was listed at the end of this study.

Examining the Use Behavior, Attitudes, and Experiences of Individuals towards Mobile Technologies in EFL Learning

This research aims to investigate the use behavior, attitudes, and experiences of individuals regarding mobile technologies in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning. The study focuses on six different mobile technology platforms: commercial applications for learning English, applications developed by the faculty, department, or university, websites for accessing materials or information. Additionally, the research explores individuals' attitudes towards using the Baicizhan Apps and their experiences with the app. The research design involves a questionnaire-based survey administered to a sample of participants. The questionnaire comprises three sections: Use Behavior (UB), Attitude on Use Behavior (AUB), and Experience on Use Behavior (EUB). The UB section assesses participants' engagement in various mobile technology platforms for EFL learning. The AUB section evaluates their attitudes towards using the Baicizhan Apps, specifically focusing on the perceived benefits and satisfaction with the app's assistance in daily writing performance. The EUB section examines participants' familiarity with the Baicizhan Apps and their completion and submission of compositions. The data collected from the survey will be analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify patterns and trends in use behavior, attitudes, and experiences. The findings will provide insights into the extent to which individuals utilize different mobile technology platforms for EFL learning and their perceptions of the Baicizhan Apps. The research outcomes will contribute to understanding the factors influencing individuals' choices and preferences in utilizing mobile technologies for language learning purposes. This research is significant as it sheds light on the current landscape of mobile technology use in EFL learning and provides valuable implications for educators, curriculum designers, and app developers. The results will aid in the development of effective strategies to enhance the integration of mobile technologies in language learning environments and improve user experiences. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to the advancement of mobile-assisted language learning practices and inform future developments in the field.

Mix method analysis for analyzing user behavior on logistic company mobile pocket software

The present study emphasizes mixed-method analysis, integrating the partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) and customer journey for mobile pocket office improvement in logistic XYZ company. The extension of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT 2) model by incorporating perceived risk (PR), personal innovativeness (PI), and trust (TR) variables are used. The sample for this study consisted of 243 res­pondents. Based on the results of the PLS-SEM analysis, two of the eleven tested hypotheses were determined to be rejected. In application usage, the proposed model effectively explained 85.7 per cent of the influence on beha­vioral intention (BI) and 72.1 per cent on use behavior (UB). The customer journey mapping (CJM) investigation's findings show that fluctuations in the use of mobile pocket office technology in the field are generally brought on by a lot of data entry, sluggish internet connections, and overworked field operations. The XYZ company may acquire sugges­tions and knowledge for developing further applications due to this inquiry.

Factors Influencing the Behavioural Intention of Patients with Chronic Diseases to Adopt IoT-Healthcare Services in Malaysia

The Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare is the newest trend in the healthcare market. IoT allows healthcare providers to expand their reach beyond the usual clinical environment. They are driven to maximize the possibilities of digitally linked healthcare services to improve the user experience, diagnostic accuracy, and communication among healthcare professionals. Sensors, wearables, and health monitors have made healthcare cheaper, faster, and more effective. Despite the privileges of the IoT in healthcare services, the adoption rate of these services is still in the early stages. The aim of this research was to examine the adoption of IoT-enabled healthcare services among Malaysian chronic patients. To achieve this purpose, the study offered an integrated framework to investigate the influence of the identified factors on Behavioural Intention (BI) to adopt IoT healthcare services. The novelty lies in combining the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the Theory of Organizational Environments for Technology Adoption (TOE), and the Social Exchange Theory (SE). Patients in Malaysia dealing with chronic illnesses were the subjects of an online survey. Eleven predicted predictive constructs' impacts were investigated using partial least square structural equation modeling. The findings revealed that individual and technological factors and their dimensions, significantly affected chronic disease patients’ BI toward IoT-healthcare services adoption. Similar results were observed for the effect of BI on Use Behaviour (UB). Meanwhile, trust partially mediated the effect of individual and technological-related factors on BI.

Studying the Factors that Influence the Adoption of Educational Technology in Mogadishu Secondary Schools Using UTAUT Model

This study employed the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to pinpoint the factors that influence how educational technology is used in secondary schools in Mogadishu. Participating in the study were 235 principals and instructors. The participants were chosen through random sampling. The study’s findings demonstrated that four hypotheses—performance expectance (PE), effort expectance (EE), social influence (SI), and facilitating conditions (FC)—progressively affect behavioral intention (BI), which serves as the mediating factor for our independent variables, and consequently there is a positive correlation between behavioral intention and behavioral use (BU) of technology in education. The p-value of each hypothesis is < 0.05, indicating that the null hypotheses were disproved—the lack of ICT infrastructure forces Mogadishu secondary students to continue learning in the conventional manner. Researchers recommended the importance of addressing the challenges of inadequate funding for both public and private schools and suggested conducting further study. The output that can be expected from this study is to change the current situation.

A Study on Consumer’s Behavioral Intention and Use Behavior Based on UTAUT Theory: Centered around Mobile Delivery Apps

Purpose – The growth of mobile delivery apps is expanding further due to the increase in nonface- to-face consumption due to social distancing in the COVID-19 situation. It is essential to understand what factors are causing this mobile delivery app market to grow significantly. Design/Methodology/Approach – To achieve the purpose of the study, independent variables were selected by searching for prior literature on UTAUT, and a questionnaire was designed according to the situation in Korea. The survey was conducted through Google Online, and statistical analysis of the research model was conducted using SPSS 25.0. Findings – According to the results of this study, the factors that significantly influence the intention to use mobile delivery apps were Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), and Facilitating Conditions (FC). In addition, the result indicated that Behavioral Intention (BI) had a statistically significant effect on Use Behavior (UB). Research Implications – This study will predict the user behavior of mobile delivery apps by dealing with the technical attributes of mobile delivery apps and the influencing factors that consumers recognize. In addition, as a mobile delivery app company, it is expected to play a role in establishing the marketing direction of mobile delivery apps.

Longitudinal study of teacher acceptance of mobile virtual labs.

Synthesizing the advancements in technology with classroom practices depends considerably on teachers acceptance of such internet and communication technology (ICT) tools. Adequate teacher training and upgrading of their IT skills are not prioritized in developing economies leading to poor adoption of emerging technology assisted pedagogic interventions. This paper investigated the underlying characteristics of teachers acceptance of mobile friendly virtual laboratories (M-VLs) as part of a longitudinal study conducted over 5 years covering both pre-pandemic and pandemic periods. Systematic analysis of quantitative data from 650 chemistry teachers was carried out. Viewing through the theoretical lens of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) theory, the effects of performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC), hedonic motivation (HM) and habit (HA) on the behavioral intention (BI) and use behavior (UB) were scrutinized. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis revealed that PE, SI, and HA are the considerable predictors of the BI to use M-VLs and HA is the predictor of UB. The present study found HM influencing teacher's BI and UB before COVID-19. However during COVID-19 the FC influenced usage. Moreover, we found that the technology training focused on enhancing knowledge, skill and, access leads to teachers' are critical to empowering teachers and causing wider adoption.

Using the UTAUT2 model to explain teacher acceptance of work performance assessment system

<span lang="EN-US">An organization needs qualified and experienced human resources. Performance appraisals are required to determine the effectiveness of their work. A performance appraisal system has already been created to objectively evaluate the work of teachers, principals, and teachers given additional tasks, and to provide instructions for developing the teaching profession, principals, and teachers given additional tasks. The goal of this study was to apply the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) to explain why teachers accept the performance appraisal method. With the help of SmartPLS 3.2.8 software, a partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the data. The results showed that behavioral intention (BI) to utilize the system is influenced by performance expectancy (PE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC), and habit (HT). The findings also revealed that system use behavior (UB) is influenced by facilitating conditions (FC), habit (HT), and behavioral intention (BI). To increase the system's adoption, the studies suggest focusing on enhancing the system's ease of use and minimizing the system's flow complexity.</span>

Analysis of digital wallet acceptance factors and market potentials among college students

One of the fintech products is a digital wallet, an electronic money service in the form of a mobile application that can use for payment transactions. This study aims to determine the acceptance factor and potential of the digital wallet market by university students. The theory used in this study is the UTAUT2 model, with performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC), hedonic motivation (HM), price value (PV), habit (HA) as the independent variables. Meanwhile, behavioural intention (BI) and use behaviour (UB) are dependent variables. The population in this study were all university students, while the sample was 400 people. This study collected data by distributing online questionnaires. The sampling technique used is random sampling, and the data analysis technique used is PLS-SEM with the help of SmartPLS 3.2.9 software. This study proves that the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variables is significant. In contrast, the variable effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC), and hedonic motivation (HM) were weak predictors of behavioural intention (BI). The results of this study are supposed to be useful for government and digital wallet companies to improve the market potential level of digital wallets by optimising the function of the factors that affect the use of the digital wallet. In contrast to other studies, this study investigates all the many kinds of digital wallets that operated in Indonesia, which becomes the novelty of this research.
