Quantization of Weyl invariant unimodular gravity with antisymmetric ghost fields

The enforcement of the unimodularity condition in a gravity theory by means of a Lagrange multiplier leads, in general, to inconsistencies upon quantization. This is so, in particular, when the classic linear splitting of the metric between the background and quantum fields is used. To avoid the need of introducing such a Lagrange multiplier while using the classic linear splitting, we carry out the quantization of unimodular gravity with extra Weyl symmetry by using Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) techniques. Here, two gauge symmetries are to be gauge-fixed: transverse diffeomorphisms and Weyl transformations. We perform the gauge-fixing of the transverse diffeomorphism invariance by using BRST transformations that involve antisymmetric ghost fields. We show that these BRST transformations are compatible with the BRST transformations needed to gauge-fix the Weyl symmetry, so that they can be combined in a set of transformations generated by a single BRST operator. Newton’s law of gravitation is derived within the BRST formalism we put forward as well as the Slavnov–Taylor equation.

Quantum symmetries and conserved charges of the cosmological Friedmann-Robertson-Walker model

We discuss both the off-shell nilpotent Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST symmetry transformations for the cosmological Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) model with a differential gauge condition in the extended phase space. In this discussion, the presence of anti-BRST symmetry provides the complete geometrical description of BRST within the ambit of the supervariable approach. We derive the conserved (anti-)BRST charges for the FRW model using the celebrated Noether theorem and show the nilpotency and absolute anti-commutativity properties of these conserved charges within the realm of BRST formalism. Finally, we prove the sanctity of (anti-)BRST symmetries through the derivation of these symmetry transformations within the framework of the (anti-)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism.

Noether Theorem and Nilpotency Property of the (Anti-)BRST Charges in the BRST Formalism: A Brief Review

In some of the physically interesting gauge systems, we show that the application of the Noether theorem does not lead to the deduction of the Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST charges that obey precisely the off-shell nilpotency property despite the fact that these charges are (i) derived by using the off-shell nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations, (ii) found to be the generators of the above continuous symmetry transformations, and (iii) conserved with respect to the time-evolution due to the Euler–Lagrange equations of motion derived from the Lagrangians/Lagrangian densities (that describe the dynamics of these suitably chosen physical systems). We propose a systematic method for the derivation of the off-shell nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges from the corresponding non-nilpotent Noether (anti-)BRST charges. To corroborate the sanctity and preciseness of our proposal, we take into account the examples of (i) the one (0 + 1)-dimensional (1D) system of a massive spinning (i.e., SUSY) relativistic particle, (ii) the D-dimensional non-Abelian one-form gauge theory, and (iii) the Abelian two-form and the Stu¨ckelberg-modified version of the massive Abelian three-form gauge theories in any arbitrary D-dimension of spacetime. Our present endeavor is a brief review where some decisive proposals have been made and a few novel results have been obtained as far as the nilpotency property is concerned.

1D diffeomorphism invariant model of a free scalar relativistic particle: Supervariable and BRST approaches

We apply the supervariable approach to derive the proper quantum Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST symmetries for the 1D diffeomorphism invariant model of a free scalar relativistic particle by exploiting the infinitesimal classical reparameterization (i.e. 1D diffeomorphism) symmetry of this theory. We derive the conserved and off-shell nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges and prove their absolute anticommutativity property by using the virtues of Curci–Ferrari (CF)-type restriction of our present theory. We establish the sanctity of the existence of CF-type restriction (i) by considering the (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations of the coupled (but equivalent) Lagrangians and (ii) by proving the symmetry invariance of the Lagrangians within the framework of supervariable approach. We capture the nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity of the conserved (anti-)BRST charges within the framework of (anti-)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism. One of the novel observations of our present endeavor is the derivation of CF-type restriction by using the modified Bonora–Tonin (BT) supervariable approach (while deriving the (anti-)BRST symmetries for the target space–time and/or momenta variables) and by symmetry considerations of the Lagrangians of the theory. The rest of the (anti-)BRST symmetries, for the other variables, are derived by using the newly proposed ACSA. We also demonstrate the existence of CF-type restriction in the proof of absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)BRST charges.

3D Jackiw–Pi model: (anti-)chiral superfield approach to BRST formalism

We discuss and derive the continuous Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST)and anti-BRST symmetry transformations for the Jackiw-Pi (JP) model of three (2 + 1)-dimensional (3D) massive non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory by exploiting the standard technique of (anti-)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism where a few appropriate and specific sets of (anti-)BRST invariant quantities (i. e. physical quantities at quantum level) play a very important role. We provide the explicit derivation of the nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity properties of (anti-)BRST conserved charges and the existence of the Curci-Ferrari (CF) condition within the realm of ACSA to BRST formalism where we take only a single Grassmannian variable into account. We also provide clear proof of (anti-) BRST invariances of the coupled (but equivalent) Lagrangian densities within the framework of ACSA to BRST approach where the emergence of the CF-condition is observed.

Massive 4D Abelian 2-form theory: Nilpotent symmetries from the (anti-)chiral superfield approach

The off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting (anti-)BRST symmetries are obtained by using the (anti-)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) formalism for the four [Formula: see text]-dimensional (4D) Stückelberg-modified massive Abelian 2-form gauge theory. We perform exactly similar kind of exercise for the derivation of the off-shell nilpotent (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations, too. In the above derivations, the symmetry invariant restrictions on the superfields play very important and decisive roles. To prove the sanctity of the above nilpotent symmetries, we generalize our 4D ordinary theory (defined on the 4D flat Minkowskian space–time manifold) to its counterparts [Formula: see text]-dimensional (anti-)chiral super-submanifolds of the [Formula: see text]-dimensional supermanifold which is parametrized by the superspace coordinates [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text] are the bosonic coordinates and a pair of Grassmannian variables [Formula: see text] are fermionic: [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] in nature. One of the novel observations of our present endeavor is the derivation of the Curci–Ferrari (CF)-type restrictions from the requirement of the symmetry invariance of the coupled (but equivalent) Lagrangian densities of our theory within the framework of ACSA to BRST formalism. We also exploit the standard techniques of ACSA to capture the off-shell nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity of the conserved (anti-)BRST as well as the conserved (anti-)co-BRST charges. In a subtle manner, the proof of the absolute anticommutativity of the above conserved charges also implies the existence of the appropriate CF-type restrictions on our theory. This proof is also a novel result.

Reparameterization Invariant Model of a Supersymmetric System: BRST and Supervariable Approaches

We carry out the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) quantization of the one 0 + 1 -dimensional (1D) model of a free massive spinning relativistic particle (i.e., a supersymmetric system) by exploiting its classical infinitesimal and continuous reparameterization symmetry transformations. We use the modified Bonora-Tonin (BT) supervariable approach (MBTSA) to BRST formalism to obtain the nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations of the target space variables and the (anti-)BRST invariant Curci-Ferrari- (CF-) type restriction for the 1D model of our supersymmetric (SUSY) system. The nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations for other variables of our model are derived by using the (anti-)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism. Within the framework of the latter, we have shown the existence of the CF-type restriction by proving the (i) symmetry invariance of the coupled Lagrangians and (ii) the absolute anticommutativity property of the conserved (anti-)BRST charges. The application of the MBTSA to a physical SUSY system (i.e., a 1D model of a massive spinning particle) is a novel result in our present endeavor. In the application of ACSA, we have considered only the (anti-)chiral super expansions of the supervariables. Hence, the observation of the absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)BRST charges is a novel result. The CF-type restriction is universal in nature as it turns out to be the same for the SUSY and non-SUSY reparameterization (i.e., 1D diffeomorphism) invariant models of the (non-)relativistic particles.

Christ–Lee Model: (Anti-)chiral Supervariable Approach to BRST Formalism

We derive the off-shell nilpotent of order two and absolutely anticommuting Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST), anti-BRST, and (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations for the Christ–Lee (CL) model in one0+1-dimension (1D) of spacetime by exploiting the (anti-)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism where the quantum symmetry (i.e., (anti-)BRST along with (anti-)co-BRST) invariant quantities play a crucial role. We prove the nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity properties of the (anti-)BRST along with (anti-)co-BRST conserved charges within the scope of ACSA to BRST formalism where we take only one Grassmannian variable into account. We also show the (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST invariances of the Lagrangian within the scope of ACSA.

Supervariable and BRST Approaches to a Reparameterization Invariant Nonrelativistic System

We exploit the theoretical strength of the supervariable and Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) formalisms to derive the proper (i.e., off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting) (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations for the reparameterization invariant model of a nonrelativistic (NR) free particle whose spacexand timetvariables are a function of an evolution parameterτ. The infinitesimal reparameterization (i.e., 1D diffeomorphism) symmetry transformation of our theory is defined w.r.t. this evolution parameterτ. We apply the modified Bonora-Tonin (BT) supervariable approach (MBTSA) as well as the (anti)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism to discuss various aspects of our present system. For this purpose, our 1D ordinary theory (parameterized byτ) is generalized onto a1,2-dimensional supermanifold which is characterized by the superspace coordinatesZM=τ,θ,θ¯where a pair of the Grassmannian variables satisfy the fermionic relationships:θ2=θ¯2=0,θ θ¯+θ¯ θ=0, andτis the bosonic evolution parameter. In the context of ACSA, we take into account only the1,1-dimensional (anti)chiral super submanifolds of the general1,2-dimensional supermanifold. The derivation of the universal Curci-Ferrari- (CF-) type restriction, from various underlying theoretical methods, is a novel observation in our present endeavor. Furthermore, we note that the form of the gauge-fixing and Faddeev-Popov ghost terms for our NR and non-SUSY system is exactly the same as that of the reparameterization invariant SUSY (i.e., spinning) and non-SUSY (i.e., scalar) relativistic particles. This is a novel observation, too.

Massive Spinning Relativistic Particle: Revisited under BRST and Supervariable Approaches

We discuss the continuous and infinitesimal gauge, supergauge, reparameterization, nilpotent Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST), and anti-BRST symmetries and derive corresponding nilpotent charges for the one 0+1-dimensional (1D) massive model of a spinning relativistic particle. We exploit the theoretical potential and power of the BRST and supervariable approaches to derive the (anti-)BRST symmetries and coupled (but equivalent) Lagrangians for this system. In particular, we capture the off-shell nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity of the conserved (anti-)BRST charges within the framework of the newly proposed (anti-)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism where only the (anti-)chiral supervariables (and their suitable super expansions) are taken into account along the Grassmannian direction(s). One of the novel observations of our present investigation is the derivation of the Curci-Ferrari- (CF-) type restriction by the requirement of the absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)BRST charges in the ordinary space. We obtain the same restriction within the framework of ACSA to BRST formalism by (i) the symmetry invariance of the coupled Lagrangians and (ii) the proof of the absolute anticommutativity of the conserved and nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges. The observation of the anticommutativity property of the (anti-)BRST charges is a novel result in view of the fact that we have taken into account only the (anti-)chiral super expansions.

Nilpotent charges in an interacting gauge theory and an 𝒩 = 2 SUSY quantum mechanical model: (Anti-)chiral superfield approach

We exploit the power and potential of the (anti-)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) formalism to derive the nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations for any arbitrary [Formula: see text]-dimensional interacting non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory where there is an [Formula: see text] gauge invariant coupling between the gauge field and the Dirac fields. We derive the conserved and nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges and establish their nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity properties within the framework of ACSA to BRST formalism. The clinching proof of the absolute anticommutativity property of the conserved and nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges is a novel result in view of the fact that we consider, in our endeavor, only the (anti-)chiral super expansions of the superfields that are defined on the [Formula: see text]-dimensional super-submanifolds of the general [Formula: see text]-dimensional supermanifold on which our [Formula: see text]-dimensional ordinary interacting non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory is generalized. To corroborate the novelty of the above result, we apply the ACSA to an [Formula: see text] supersymmetric (SUSY) quantum mechanical (QM) model of a harmonic oscillator and show that the nilpotent and conserved [Formula: see text] supercharges of this system do not absolutely anticommute.

Hamiltonian BRST formalism for gauge fields on black hole spacetimes

We investigate the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) formalism for gauge theories on spherically symmetric black hole spacetimes, with or without a cosmological constant ($\Lambda\geq0$). This is illustrated through the example of scalar electrodynamics. We first demonstrate that the horizons contribute additional surface terms to the Gauss law constraint of the theory when gauge transformations are not required to vanish on the horizons. We then consider the BRST invariant path integral including these surface terms following the Hamiltonian BRST formalism. We fix a radiation-like gauge which involves null components of the electromagnetic field at the horizons. We find that the presence of the surface terms in the constraint forces the ghost and gauge fixing actions to include additional surface integrals at the horizons. The null combination of the gauge fields at the horizons is shown to modify the ghost number charge of the theory through additional terms at the horizons. We also demonstrate how one can construct a gauge-fixing fermion which generates its own nilpotent symmetry transformations, called co-BRST transformations, that leave the theory invariant. The BRST and co-BRST transformations are further used to identify dressed (gauge invariant) fields of theory, whose dressings are affected by the presence of Killing horizons. We conclude with a discussion of potential applications of our results in soft limits and thermal field theories on black hole backgrounds.

(Anti-)chiral supervariable approach to nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting conserved charges of reparametrization invariant theories: A couple of relativistic toy models as examples

We exploit the potential and power of the Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST invariant restrictions on the (anti-)chiral supervariables to derive the proper nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetries for the reparametrization invariant one (0[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]1)-dimensional (1D) toy models of a free relativistic particle as well as a free spinning (i.e. supersymmetric) relativistic particle within the framework of (anti-)chiral supervariable approach to BRST formalism. Despite the (anti-)chiral super expansions of the (anti-)chiral supervariables, we observe that the (anti-)BRST charges, for the above toy models, turn out to be absolutely anticommuting in nature. This is one of the novel observations of our present endeavor. For this proof, we utilize the beauty and strength of Curci–Ferrari (CF)-type restriction in the context of a spinning relativistic particle but no such restriction is required in the case of a free scalar relativistic particle. We have also captured the nilpotency property of the conserved charges as well as the (anti-)BRST invariance of the appropriate Lagrangian(s) of our present toy models within the framework of (anti-)chiral supervariable approach.

(Anti-)chiral superfield approach to interacting Abelian 1-form gauge theories: Nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting charges

We derive the off-shell nilpotent (fermionic) (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations by exploiting the (anti-)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) formalism for the interacting Abelian 1-form gauge theories where there is a coupling between the U(1) Abelian 1-form gauge field and Dirac as well as complex scalar fields. We exploit the (anti-)BRST invariant restrictions on the (anti-)chiral superfields to derive the fermionic symmetries of our present D-dimensional Abelian 1-form gauge theories. The novel observation of our present investigation is the derivation of the absolute anticommutativity of the nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges despite the fact that our ordinary D-dimensional theories are generalized onto the (D,[Formula: see text]1)-dimensional (anti-) chiral super-submanifolds (of the general (D,[Formula: see text]2)-dimensional supermanifold) where only the (anti-)chiral super expansions of the (anti-)chiral superfields have been taken into account. We also discuss the nilpotency of the (anti-)BRST charges and (anti-)BRST invariance of the Lagrangian densities of our present theories within the framework of ACSA to BRST formalism.

Superfield Approach to Nilpotency and Absolute Anticommutativity of Conserved Charges: 2D Non-Abelian 1-Form Gauge Theory

We exploit the theoretical strength of augmented version of superfield approach (AVSA) to Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) formalism to express the nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity properties of the (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST conserved charges for the two (1+1)-dimensional (2D) non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory (without any interaction with matter fields) in the language of superspace variables, their derivatives, and suitable superfields. In the proof of absolute anticommutativity property, we invoke the strength of Curci-Ferrari (CF) condition for the (anti-)BRST charges. No such outside condition/restriction is required in the proof of absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)co-BRST conserved charges. The latter observation (as well as other observations) connected with (anti-)co-BRST symmetries and corresponding conserved charges are novel results of our present investigation. We also discuss the (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST symmetry invariance of the appropriate Lagrangian densities within the framework of AVSA. In addition, we dwell a bit on the derivation of the above fermionic (nilpotent) symmetries by applying the AVSA to BRST formalism, where only the (anti)chiral superfields are used.

Nilpotent symmetries and Curci–Ferrari-type restrictions in 2D non-Abelian gauge theory: Superfield approach

We derive the off-shell nilpotent symmetries of the two [Formula: see text]-dimensional (2D) non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory by using the theoretical techniques of the geometrical superfield approach to Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) formalism. For this purpose, we exploit the augmented version of superfield approach (AVSA) and derive theoretically useful nilpotent (anti-)BRST, (anti-)co-BRST symmetries and Curci–Ferrari (CF)-type restrictions for the self-interacting 2D non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory (where there is no interaction with matter fields). The derivation of the (anti-)co-BRST symmetries and all possible CF-type restrictions are completely novel results within the framework of AVSA to BRST formalism where the ordinary 2D non-Abelian theory is generalized onto an appropriately chosen [Formula: see text]-dimensional supermanifold. The latter is parametrized by the superspace coordinates [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text] (with [Formula: see text]) are the bosonic coordinates and a pair of Grassmannian variables [Formula: see text] obey the relationships: [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text]. The topological nature of our 2D theory allows the existence of a tower of CF-type restrictions.

Some novel features in 2D non-Abelian theory: BRST approach

Within the framework of Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) formalism, we discuss some novel features of a two (1[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]1)-dimensional (2D) non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory (without any interaction with matter fields). Besides the usual off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommutating (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations, we discuss the off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommutating (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations. Particularly, we lay emphasis on the existence of the coupled (but equivalent) Lagrangian densities of the 2D non-Abelian theory in view of the presence of (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations where we pin-point some novel features associated with the Curci–Ferrari (CF-)type restrictions. We demonstrate that these CF-type restrictions can be incorporated into the (anti-)co-BRST invariant Lagrangian densities through the fermionic Lagrange multipliers which carry specific ghost numbers. The modified versions of the Lagrangian densities (where we get rid of the new CF-type restrictions) respect some precise symmetries as well as a couple of symmetries with CF-type constraints. These observations are completely novel as far as the BRST formalism, with proper (anti-)co-BRST symmetries, is concerned.

Augmented Superfield Approach to Nilpotent Symmetries of the Modified Version of 2D Proca Theory

We derive the complete set of off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST), anti-BRST, and (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations forallthe fields of the modified version of two(1+1)-dimensional (2D) Proca theory by exploiting the “augmented” superfield formalism where the (dual-)horizontality conditions and (dual-)gauge invariant restrictions are exploitedtogether. We capture the (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST invariance of the Lagrangian density in the language of superfield approach. We also express the nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST charges within the framework of augmented superfield formalism. This exercise leads to somenovelobservations which have, hitherto, not been pointed out in the literature within the framework of superfield approach to BRST formalism. For the sake of completeness, we also mention, very briefly, a unique bosonic symmetry, the ghost-scale symmetry, and discrete symmetries of the theory and show that the algebra of conserved charges provides a physical realization of the Hodge algebra (satisfied by the de Rham cohomological operators of differential geometry).

Nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting symmetries in the Freedman–Townsend model: Augmented superfield formalism

We derive the off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST symmetry transformations, corresponding to the (1-form) Yang–Mills (YM) and (2-form) tensorial gauge symmetries of the four (3+1)-dimensional (4D) Freedman–Townsend (FT) model, by exploiting the augmented version of Bonora–Tonin's (BT) superfield approach to BRST formalism where the 4D flat Minkowskian theory is generalized onto the (4, 2)-dimensional supermanifold. One of the novel observations is the fact that we are theoretically compelled to go beyond the horizontality condition (HC) to invoke an additional set of gauge-invariant restrictions (GIRs) for the derivation of the full set of proper (anti-)BRST symmetries. To obtain the (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations, corresponding to the tensorial (2-form) gauge symmetries within the framework of augmented version of BT-superfield approach, we are logically forced to modify the FT-model to incorporate an auxiliary 1-form field and the kinetic term for the antisymmetric (2-form) gauge field. This is also a new observation in our present investigation. We point out some of the key differences between the modified FT-model and Lahiri-model (LM) of the dynamical non-Abelian 2-form gauge theories. We also briefly mention a few similarities.

Self-dual chiral boson: augmented superfield approach

We exploit the standard tools and techniques of the augmented version of Bonora-Tonin (BT) superfield formalism to derive the off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST symmetry transformations for the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) invariant Lagrangian density of a self-dual bosonic system. In the derivation of the full set of the above transformations, we invoke the (dual-)horizontality conditions, (anti-)BRST and (anti-)co-BRST invariant restrictions on the superfields that are defined on the (2, 2)-dimensional supermanifold. The latter is parameterized by the bosonic variable x^\mu\,(\mu = 0,\, 1) and a pair of Grassmanian variables \theta and \bar\theta (with \theta^2 = \bar\theta^2 = 0 and \theta\bar\theta + \bar\theta\theta = 0). The dynamics of this system is such that, instead of the full (2, 2) dimensional superspace coordinates (x^\mu, \theta, \bar\theta), we require only the specific (1, 2)-dimensional super-subspace variables (t, \theta, \bar\theta) for its description. This is a novel observation in the context of superfield approach to BRST formalism. The application of the dual-horizontality condition, in the derivation of a set of proper (anti-)co-BRST symmetries, is also one of the new ingredients of our present endeavor where we have exploited the augmented version of superfield formalism which is geometrically very intuitive.
