Batik Tambun Bungai Penciptaan Motif Lokal Untuk Kejatidirian Eknonomi Kreatif Kalimantan Tengah

This research aims to create local batik motif. This research was focused on creating local Tambun Bungai batik motifs for the creative economic identity of Central Kalimantan Province in supporting SDGs in regional development. This research uses a design creation approach that is implemented on fabric using a digital batik printing process. The design creation research methods involves the following steps. (1) identification (2) research (3) idea formulation (4) prototype (5) selection (6) implementation (7) evaluation. The results yield are typical Tambun Bungai batik which has its own uniqueness, inspired by the richness of the natural landscape, traditional art and has bold color patterns that convey a strong impression of the philosophical values ​​inherent in Central Kalimantan batik motifs as well as being an effective regional promotional media. Implementasi Metode Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Dalam Klasifikasi Motif Batik.

Indonesia is renowned for its diverse ethnicities, each contributing to a culturally rich mosaic. Among the distinctive regional traits, batik stands out prominently, evolving uniquely in each part of the country. However, the diversity in batik designs often confuses people trying to identify the region of origin due to similarities in patterns. Deciphering these unique batik motifs typically requires specialized knowledge, particularly from individuals well-versed in the art of batik. Reviews suggest that employing pattern recognition methods is an effective way to tackle this challenge. In today's technological landscape, various methods have emerged to aid in recognizing fabric motifs. This study utilizes the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method with the Efficient Net-B0 architecture. The tests conducted to identify batik motifs using this approach yielded a highest accuracy result of 79.62% for the test data and an accuracy validation result of 73.33%. These findings underscore the potential of advanced technologies, specifically the CNN with Efficient Net-B0 architecture, in accurately discerning and distinguishing batik motifs.

Exploring Local Culture through Geometry Transformation: a Study of Banyumasan Batik

Banyumasan batik is one of Indonesia's cultural heritages from Banyumas Regency, which has unique and interesting patterns and motifs. This research paper describes the mathematical modelling of geometric transformations in Banyumasan batik. Geometric transformation is a mathematical technique for changing the shape or position of an object on a plane. This is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentations. The data obtained were analysed using content analysis to identify various Banyumasan batik motifs that can be transformed into geometric forms. This study describes the basic geometric transformations, namely translations in Sekar Tirta batik motif, reflections in Bawor Kembar batik motif, dilations in Kawung Jenggot batik motif, and rotations in Manggar Bawor batik motif which applied to Banyumasan batik motifs. The results of this study include geometric transformations of Banyumasan batik motifs which are expected to positively contribute to the development of Indonesian art and culture, especially in the field of batik, enrich insight and knowledge about the application of mathematics in everyday life, and can be used for mathematical modelling and mathematics education based on local culture.

Learning Creative Economy Empowerment through Optimizing Media Digital and Utilizing Inorganic Waste to Become Batik Patterned Chairs

The aim of this assistance is to provide learning of training and assistance in optimizing digital marketing media through social media, such as Instagram, websites and Facebook. Workshop Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Budaya Melalui Batik Giriloyo, Wukirsari, Imogiri, Bantul

Indonesia has cultural heritage that needs to be preserved, one of which is batik. This community service activity aims to introduce students participating in the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) Inbond Bach 3 Alma Ata University to the history of Giriloyo batik, the practice of batik, and analyzing the mathematical concepts contained therein. The methods used include planning,implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity show that students are able to know the history of batik, make batik, and analyze the mathematical concepts contained in batik motifs.

Klasifikasi Batik Pekalongan Berdasarkan Citra dengan Metode GLCM dan JST Backpropagation

Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that is internationally recognized by UNESCO. However, knowledge about the types of batik, especially traditional Pekalongan batik, is increasingly forgotten due to globalization. This research aims to create a Pekalongan traditional batik image classification system through Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) feature extraction and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) classification method. This system aims to make it easier for people to identify Pekalongan batik motifs without requiring special skills. The results showed that the GLCM and JST methods can be used to classify Pekalongan batik can predict correctly. The use of JST Backpropagation architecture with 3 hidden layers resulted in train data accuracy of 46.6% and test data accuracy of 55.5%. This system is expected to help preserve the cultural heritage of batik and increase public understanding of Pekalongan batik motifs.

Optimization of virtual design and machining time of the mold master ceramic jewelry products with Indonesian batik motifs

Batik has been the cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation since the 17th century. On 2 October 2009, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) designated Batik as part of Indonesia’s traditional clothing as Indonesia’s cultural heritage. This research proves that Batik is an attractive and artistic ornament of ceramic jewelry products. This ornament can increase the selling value and storytelling of the product. Naruna is a local handmade porcelain ceramic factory in Indonesia with excellence in unique colored tableware and consistently trying to develop new designs in ceramic jewelry. Modern technology in computer-based virtual design and machining on dining plate tableware with the Batik Kawung motif is also applied in this paper to obtain a master design for ceramic jewelry prints. The design stage begins with selecting ornament patterns with creative methods to form a 3D CAD model of ceramic jewelry using artistic Art CAM. The optimization of computer-aided manufacturing-based to obtain machining strategy using the software. The software is Autodesk Power Mill, whose NC Code can be directly manufactured on a CNC router machine. This combination can speed up the production process time to meet the production capacity at Naruna and get detailed, accurate, precise, and consistent textures and ornaments, thereby meeting NCS consumer demand for ceramic jewelry products. The simulation results of the two master print patterns are 141 h, 56 min, and 46 s; the machining time is estimated at 153 h. This research saves about 11 h of time processing. The resulting NC Code can be appropriately processed on a CNC router machine with a Mach 3 post-processor.

The Identity of Socio-Cultural Dynamics in Sangiran Batik

The purpose of this article is to examine one type of batik that developed around the Sangiran Museum Building, Sragen Region, Central Java Province. The method used is a field study method by means of observation, interviews, and document analysis. Sangiran has a museum that stores ancient objects from the past, including ancient human remains. Sangiran is often referred to as The Land of Java Man. This condition also affects the background of batik forms in Sangiran and its surroundings. The archaeological museum and ancient human remains have become a source of inspiration for the creation of batik. Batik in Sangiran is often referred to as Sukawati batik. Sukawati is the name of Sragen region before 18th century in the time of Pangeran Mangkubumi. The influence of ancient human remains and ancient objects appears in batik motifs such as batik motifs of human evolution, batik motifs of carved ivory because there are elephant tusks from ancient times were found in Sangiran. There are also batik motifs derived from the myths of the local community, namely the motif of Dewi Sri or the Goddess of fertility. Batik has become the hallmark of the Sragen region and gave rise to the dynamics of batik life such as batik creation competitions, batik uniforms, and so on.

Integration K-Means clustering and AHP for recommendations batik MSMEs

Batik MSME industry is a creative industry sector in Indonesia which contributes quite a lot to Gross Domestic Product. Batik products have been recognized worldwide as one of creative products from Indonesia by UNESCO which confirmed batik as an intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. There are around 250 batik makers in Madura Indonesia. The problem is that the large number of batik craftsmen makes it difficult for cooperatives to determine MSME priorities and the Cooperative Work Program. Some batik indicator data is not all filled and there is still categorical and numerical data. The aim is to group batik based on the number of workers, number of products, age, education, business license, turnover, and number of batik motifs. The method used is data preprocessing using Min-Max normalization to convert categorical data into numerical and averages to overcome imputation of empty data. The data grouping method uses K-Means Clustering. AHP is used to determine indicators that have most influence on clustering and ranking of Batik MSMEs. The research contribution is integration of K-Means with AHP and preprocessing techniques. The most optimal cluster evaluation technique uses SSE. Based on the test results, the optimal cluster is K=3, with an SSE value = 0.287, Cluster 1 (Low) = 28%, Cluster 2 (medium) = 33%, and cluster 3 (High) = 39%. The results of recommendations for four highest weighting criteria using AHP are number of customers 24%, employee training 18.8%, product branding 17%, market place 16.3%.

Seat of the Divine Preserver: Prabudewa Iconographies of the Hamengku Buwana Dynasty

For more than two-and-a-half centuries, the Sultanate of Yogyakarta has been under the rule of one dynasty of sultans called the Hamengku Buwana. The key to such an everlasting rulership by one dynasty is the use of narratives as well as symbolisms that support said narratives. In the case of the sultanate, the narratives relate to the concept of the sultan as a god-king, or in the Javanese term, prabudewa. In this research article, we will see how the dynasty found means of identification with the Hindu deity, Lord Vishnu, that strengthens the claim that the sultan is indeed a divine sovereign. The framework upon which this research is based is the symbolic framework, where cultural elements can be read as texts that narrate the innerworkings of a society. At the end of the day, the author found that the Hamengku Buwana dynasty has been using artistic iconographies within the royal court as a means to strengthen their identification as Lord Vishnu, the divine preserver of the universe according to the Hindu pantheon. The iconographies are spread throughout the royal court and can be found in various forms as well that one can still see even to this day, such as the royal coach, the sultan's throne room, and in Yogyakartan batik motifs.

Philosophical Meaning of Pariangan Batik Motifs as an Effort to Preserve Minangkabau Culture

Batik Pariangan is a batik cloth originating from Nagari Tuo Pariangan, Tanah Datar Regency. Pariangan batik motifs come from the ancient texts of Nagari Pariangan, which in each motif has a philosophical meaning and Minangkabau cultural values. This study was conducted with the aim of describing the philosophical meaning contained in Pariangan batik motifs as an effort to preserve Minangkabau culture. This research uses a qualitative method. This method collects research data in the form of observation, interviews, documents. Data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that each sample of Pariangan batik has a philosophical meaning that contains Minangkabau cultural values. These include the Nagari Pariangan motif, Bintang Batabua motif, Minangkabau Kingdom motif, Rumah Gadang motif, and Kopi Kawa motif. That every meaning it contains should be strived to continue to be learned and is still relevant to be applied in life.

Phitechanthropus Erectus is an ancient human species that lived 1.9 million years ago. The characteristics of ancient humans, Phitechanthropus Erectus, had a more robust body than their predecessors. The purpose of making this work is to 1. Create a written batik motif design with the source idea of Pithecanthropus Erectus with a blend of primitive and modern styles 2. Create a haute couture fashion design with a source of batik ideas from pithecanthropus erectus combining primitive and modern styles 3. Classification Of Besurek Batik Fabrics Using Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) Features Extraction

Besurek Batik is a characteristic of Bengkulu province, Besurek motifs are Rafflesia, Calligraphy, Paku Niches, Moon, Kuau Bird, and Jasmine. Besurek batik has high complexity in its manufacture and has many different types of motifs, therefore the identification of Besurek cloth in Bengkulu Province makes it easier to classify batik motifs and can also be an effort to preserve the culture of Bengkulu province. A feature extraction and method are used to classify Besurek type images of Bengkulu province using feature extraction Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) where glcm is used for feature extraction analysis, then classified using the K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm (KNN). Based on the results of the analysis obtained from the Besurek motif, namely with an accuracy value of 0.93333, a recall of 0.93333 and a precision value of 0.94444 with an average value of 0.938856 at an angle of 1350.

Klasifikasi Batik Parang Menggunakan Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)

Batik culture is very strong in Indonesia, this is the reason that batik can be found throughout the archipelago, with unique characteristics that distinguish it in each region. However, people are often confused and find it difficult to recognize one type of batik from another. One of the famous types of batik motif is Batik Parang. This research aims to establish a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model to classify Batik Parang and help people distinguish it from other batik motifs. Deep learning, particularly CNN, was chosen because it has a high accuracy rate in image classification. A quantitative Experimental design is used, using a dataset of 100 batik images evenly divided into two classes, namely Batik Parang and not Batik Parang. The dataset is divided into two categories, namely training data and testing data, with a data ratio of 80:20. Thus, by using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), the classification between Batik Parang and not Batik Parang produces an accuracy of 95%, with the use of epoch = 118 and batch_size = 100.

The activity was carried out with partners, namely the Kauman Batik Kampoeng Association, East Pekalongan District, Pekalongan City. Activity partners have problems in the commercialization of branding and digital marketing. The method is carried out through several stages. Before the service team carries out activities, it begins with observations, adjusting the needs of service activity partners and creating a website for information needs that can be accessed via QRcode-based labels. The service team provides solutions to problems through training and assistance, including regarding the importance of QRCode-based batik labels, preparing UKM profiles for the QRCode database which refers to the website, assistance in using QRCode-based batik labels, as well as assistance and management of brand rights and copyrights.

Perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual Batik Tradisional Dalam Perspektif Hukum

Batik is a culturally significant craft with considerable artistic merit that has permeated Indonesia. Batik featuring traditional motifs is thus a significant cultural artifact of Indonesia. This research approach is based on an empirical legal methodology. The research findings indicate that Surakarta Kraton batik is categorized as one of the craft arts that has effectively rejuvenated its motifs, techniques, and applications, thereby ensuring its continued existence. Consequently, special protection is required, with the purpose of safeguarding traditional cultural expressions in order to prevent their extinction and preserve cultural heritage. Sui generis IPR protection is intended to safeguard folklore by ensuring that its philosophical, symbolic, theological, and sacrosanct values remain intact.

THE EQUIPMENT OF THE TEDHAK SITEN TRADITION AS A SOURCE FOR CREATING BATIK MOTIFS IN CASUAL CLOTHING

Fashion creation in this study uses a theme related to Javanese tradition, entitled The Equipment of the Tedhak Siten Tradition as a Source for Creating Batik Motifs in Casual Clothing. This study aims to create a batik motif with the source of equipment ideas of the Tedhak Siten Tradition. It can encourage the preservation of traditions in Indonesia. Therefore, it can create a sense of belonging to and continue to protect cultural heritage. The data is collected from the literature study. The work creation uses a method consisting of exploration, design, and manifestation. Several batik colors are used as a basis in the creation of this fashion work. They are dark brown, light brown, and dark red. The results of this study are four batik motifs by dab coloring technique. Each fashion work is given a title that is considered to have a connection among the character, appearance, and meaning of each style. Work 1 is entitled "Nawasena", work 2 is entitled "Lavanya", work 3 is entitled "Tapak Kluwung”, and work 4 is entitled "Rumaksara". As a result, this fashion creation can give new shades to the art world, in the form of batik applied in casual clothing.

JAPANESE WISTERIA AND KAWUNG MOTIFS AS THE DEVELOPMENT OF BATIK FOR ART WEAR

Batik has various kinds of motifs. They are traditional and developed motifs. The combination of wisteria and kawung motifs for art wear is a work inspired by hokokai batik. It is a result of acculturation between Japan and Indonesia. Japanese wisteria (Wisteria Floribunda) is a kind of flower that grows in Japan. In Japan, it is called Fuji. The wisteria flower symbolizes loyalty, nobility, and immortality. Furthermore, kawung motif is a motif developed in Indonesia, especially in Java. It has a meaning of sedulur papat lima pancer. This article aims to batik by combining two motifs, wisteria, and kawung. These two motifs would be applied in art wear. Exploration is the first stage in creating this work. It starts from looking for some references of kawung motif and wisteria motif. The second is the design stage. In this stage, the creator designs motifs that would be chosen in some alternatives as a motif would be applied in art wear. The last stage is manifestation. Making batik motifs begins with making patterns, nyorek, nyanting, coloring, and, melorod. This creation results in four works. The first is titled Hi. The second is titled Kaze. The third is titled Ki. The fourth is titled Mizu. These four titles represent four elements ruled by the four guardian gods of the cardinal directions. The four gods are legends from Japan.
