Membangun Budaya Kreatif Melalui Seni Batik di Yayasan Cinta Yatim & Dhuafa, Pisangan Barat, Kec.Cirendeu, Kota Tangerang Selatan

Abstract. Education plays an important role in shaping a bright and sustainable future, with creative and fun learning as the key to creating an inspiring learning environment. This article examines the event "SEBATIK - Batik Art for Creative Culture" held at the Yayasan Cinta Yatim dan Dhuafa, Cirendeu, South Tangerang on July 20, 2024. This event aims to introduce and preserve batik art, as well as to arouse interest and appreciation for traditional arts among the children of the foundation. With a creative and interactive approach, this workshop teaches basic batik techniques through training and direct practice, and provides appreciation to participants through prizes. The evaluation results show that this activity has succeeded in increasing the creativity and skills of children, as well as strengthening the relationship between the foundation and the community. This workshop also has the potential to open up new business opportunities for foster children, increasing their economic independence in the future. This article presents details of the event implementation, the results achieved, and its impact on participants and the foundation.

Lukman Batik: Experiencing Batik Making in Cultural Heritage Site

The research discussed Lukman Batik’s artwork, which served as a poignant reminder of the value of maintaining these traditions and ensuring that traditional techniques and patterns used in batik art were practical and could be carried on by future generations. The research aimed to conduct thorough research on Lukman Batik Yogyakarta and its significance as a cultural heritage site, to investigate the correlation between prior knowledge and cultural tendency in relation to the tourist experience of making batik at Lukman Batik Yogyakarta, to analyze the data collected and interpret the nature of the correlation between prior knowledge, cultural tendency, and tourist involvement in experiencing batik making at Lukman Batik Yogyakarta. The research was analyzed using Pearson correlation. The target audience of the survey was tourists who came to Lukman Batik, and the sample was 732 tourists aged 17-50 years old. The sample’s statistical analysis showed that the respondents’ sex ratio was generally balanced, with a majority of young and middle-aged (age 17-45 years old) tourists. The majority of participants had bachelor’s degrees or above, and the majority of respondents were professionals or employees. The research reveals that 0.949, which means that prior knowledge has a “very strong” relationship with cultural tendency and involvement. The result shows a significant positive relationship between prior knowledge and the cultural tendency of tourist involvement. Interaction with cultural attractions, such as batik making and tourist participation throughout the visit, play a major role in forming enduring memories.

Differences in Painting Styles of Malaysian Chinese Artists in Different Periods

Chuah Thean Teng, through continuous experimentation and improvement, has upgraded Batik from a traditional craft to an artwork with cultural significance and national characteristics. His son and grandson are also trying to develop batik painting. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the batik works of artists from different periods. The results show that from the first to the third generation of Chinese artists, their creations have gradually pursued stylistic diversity from their original focus on cultural significance. This study contributes to the dissemination of batik art.

The Meaning of Studying Batik Art to Create Character Education in Cultural History

The aim of writing this article is to analyze the importance of studying Batik art in order to create character in cultural history, which is important to prevent moral degradation in young people. The research method used is a literature study prepared in the same way as other studies; however, data was collected through library sources by reading, taking notes, and analyzing research materials from papers about the variables studied. The results of the research show changes in the use of Batik art in ancient times and now, which in the past was only used by the kings and their families, which is different from now which can be used by all groups and other regions also have batik with their own regional characteristics. Character education includes education on values, manners, morals and character which aims to develop students' ability to make good and bad decisions, maintain the good and realize that goodness in everyday life wholeheartedly, considering how important the scope of character education is, it is a The character education process must include the totality of students' potential, both in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.

WARISAN BUDAYA CIREBON: MENGUNGKAP SEJARAH DAN MOTIF BATIK TRUSMI

This article uses a literature study approach to explore in depth the history and motifs attached to Trusmi batik, one of the unique cultural heritages of Cirebon. Using a literature study method, this research details the evolution of Trusmi batik making techniques as well as identifying and analyzing the meaning behind its distinctive motifs. The research results illustrate how this textile art reflects the traditional values and rich culture of Cirebon. The implications of these findings not only provide in-depth insight into Trusmi batik art but also provide a strong basis for efforts to preserve and develop local culture. This article has value as a guide for researchers, artists, and cultural observers who are interested in preserving cultural riches through traditional art, especially in the context of Trusmi batik in Cirebon. We can better appreciate and preserve the uniqueness of Cirebon culture for future generations by studying the background and motifs of Trusmi batik. This cultural heritage shows how well Indonesia has done in cultivating regional customs that influence textile arts and highlights the diversity and resilience of Indonesian culture, both of which should be respected and preserved.

Preserving Batik Trusmi’s image: Public relations strategies in Cirebon’s heritage

Background: Batik, as an Indonesian art form, has not only evolved but also adapted to present needs while maintaning its cultural roots. Moreover, the current surge in batik sales brings both benefits and challenges for artisans. Purpose: The study examines public relations strategies aimed at enhancing Batik’s image, promoting cultural heritage, and supporting the local economy. Methods: This study employed the social constructivism approach to gain insight into the cultural heritage of Trusmi Batik. The research methodology encompassed the use of observation, interviews, and documentation as techniques to thoroughly comprehend the subject matter. Results: Trusmi Village, renowned for its distinctive batik art, has transformed into a popular shopping center and tourist hotspot. The batik industry seeks to boost household income and capitalize on its proximity to transportation routes. This expansion has not only generated new employment opportunities but has also inspired ventures beyond the field. Additionally, government support and the role of social media in corporate communications have played crucial roles in contributing to the success of Trusmi. Conclusion: The batik industry in Trusmi has brought about a transformation in the region, providing job opportunities and fostering economic prosperity for entrepreneurs and the overall economy. Government investments in branding and the role of social media have played significant roles in contributing to its growth. Additionally, community efforts have resulted in economic benefits, population growth, and advantages in terms of tourism. Implications: The growth of the Trusmi Batik industry holds significant implications, highlighting the significance of promoting cultural heritage and storytelling. Furthermore, it contributes to economic progress, social cohesion, and community ties. Government assistance is paramount in ensuring the enduring sustainability and expansion of the sector.

Particle Batik: Digitalize Traditional Batik through the Particle-driven System

Abstract With the deepening of cultural digitization in recent years, researchers have begun to explore the use of digitization to promote the innovation of traditional culture, trying to seek new paths for the promotion and revitalization of conventional culture under new visions, new disciplines, and new technologies. Based on the development history and current situation of Batik in Malaysia and Indonesia, this paper takes Malaysian Batik works as an example. It develops a Batik particle engine-generated painting system-”Particle Batik.” This system is innovative because it ensures that every particle is accurately set up according to the color samples and position of the Batik works during the creation process. When the search engine loads the next Batik artwork, all the particles will be resampled and generated according to the newly loaded artwork, and the trajectories of the particles and their resulting line traces will be continuously superimposed and fused on the canvas, thus forming a dynamic generative artwork evolving. The Particle Batik system enhances the multidimensional expressiveness of Batik, significantly contributing to the global dissemination and cultural value of Batik art. The system successfully integrates traditional handicrafts and modern digital technology and facilitates the mutual exchange and symbiotic development between traditional culture and modern art forms. Promoting the integration and exchange of Batik culture globally allows it to adapt and integrate more closely with contemporary society and culture.

Mentawai Natural Environment Ornament Transformation on Batik Art Tatoo Motivation Based on Local Wisdom: Ecotourism

The people of the Siberut Mentawai islands still maintain various arts and practice the culture and customs of their ancestors. They have natural environment ornaments including tattoos and Jaraik, which is a symbol of the greatness of the Sikerei (Shaman) house in the Mentawai tribe. Along with the progress and development of the Mentawai area, traditional culture began to shift, therefore it is necessary to carry out conservation and development efforts. So, the purpose of this research is the efforts to preserve and produce creative art products based on local wisdom by transforming tattoos, jaraik, and other Mentawai natural environments in batik art and uniting various elements of visual cultural arts as supporting elements. The method used is research and development adopting the 4 D steps with four stages of development design, development, and deployment. In addition, the study also conducted studies of art and aesthetics, design and fashion as well as analysis of market tastes. So, the outputs of this research are; prototypes of batik art innovation products based on local Mentawai culture that are market-worthy; and scientific articles in reputable international journals. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and product feasibility tests were carried out by experts and product exhibitions which were used as Mentawai branding.

Inovasi Produk dan Kreativitas dalam Pengembangan UMKM Kesenian Batik Manggur di Triwung Kidul

Product Innovation and Creativity in developing Manggur batik art MSMEs in Triwung Kidul sub-district is an effort carried out by the owner of Manggur Batik MSMEs, namely Mrs. Malikha. The formulation of the research problem is how innovation and creativity of Maggur Batik products can develop batik art in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), namely by combining the results of local products and modern products so that this makes consumers interested in the products produced. by batik manggur and prioritizes product quality in terms of the raw materials used in the production process. This research aims to determine product innovation and creativity in developing arts MSMEs in Batik Manggur in Triwung Kidul sub-district. In this research, researchers hope that there will be many practical and theoretical benefits that will help in implementing new innovations and creativity in batik arts MSMEs. This research uses qualitative descriptive research with a purposive area approach as a technique for determining the location. in this case the research uses purposive sampling in batik product innovation and creativity. Purposive sampling was used in this research to determine the innovation and creativity of batik products. This kind of descriptive qualitative research uses a purposive area method for determining location.

Perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual Batik Tradisional Dalam Perspektif Hukum

Batik is a culturally significant craft with considerable artistic merit that has permeated Indonesia. Batik featuring traditional motifs is thus a significant cultural artifact of Indonesia. Therefore, batik must be safeguarded, maintained, and its growth must be encouraged. The copyright for this batik art, which has been practiced for generations as part of a traditional culture, shall be owned by the state in accordance with Article 10, paragraph 2 of Law No. 19 of 2002 on Copyright. Nevertheless, this legislation has proven inadequate in safeguarding the intellectual property rights of conventional batik motifs during its execution. This research approach is based on an empirical legal methodology. The research findings indicate that Surakarta Kraton batik is categorized as one of the craft arts that has effectively rejuvenated its motifs, techniques, and applications, thereby ensuring its continued existence. Consequently, special protection is required, with the purpose of safeguarding traditional cultural expressions in order to prevent their extinction and preserve cultural heritage. Sui generis IPR protection is intended to safeguard folklore by ensuring that its philosophical, symbolic, theological, and sacrosanct values remain intact.

Redesain Visual Identity Azyanu Batik

Azyanu Batik is an MSME engaged in the field of batik art based on local Minangkabau culture with "1000 Rumah Gadang" batik motifs which was founded by Zulmi Aryani since 2021, having its address at Muara Labuh, Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. In this case, Azyanu Batik already has a visual identity but has not applied design principles and logo criteria to the fullest. The purpose of this design is to redesign Azyanu Batik's visual identity by applying design principles and good logo criteria as an effort to increase brand awareness and Azyanu Batik's image. The design method used is the 4D method, consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. While the design analysis used is through SWOT analysis. Azyanu Batik's visual identity redesign will be implemented into the main media and applicable media that can support the effectiveness of the visual identity created.

CEPROTAN TRADITIONAL CEREMONY PROCESSION IN BATIK MOTIFS FOR CASUAL CLOTHES

Ceprotan traditional ceremonial procession, Sekar Village, Pacitan Regency is a tradition that contains many cultural, social, artistic and economic values. The final project of this work aims to describe ideas and create casual clothing by applying the ceprotan traditional ceremonial procession motif as the basic idea in creating works with an aesthetic approach. The scope of the Ceprotan traditional ceremonial procession gave rise to ideas to be developed into the creation of batik motifs. The process of creating works starts from the exploration stage, namely witnessing the procession of the Ceprotan traditional ceremony which is then poured into the design stage of batik motif designs on casual clothing . The last stage is the embodiment stage, in this process starting from making dress patterns, cutting, coloring cloth, pelorodan , producing, sewing to finishing. The technique used in the process of creating works is the dab and wipe technique. The materials and tools used are candles, canting, remasol, silk cotton fabrics, lurik fabrics, brocade fabrics and organza fabrics. The results of the work amounted to 5 clothes. Each work is titled according to the procession, namely work 1 entitled Balangan Cengkir, work 2 entitled Kirab Panjang Ilang, work 3 entitled Tabur Sekar, work 4 entitled Arak-arakan Jolen, and work 5 entitled Arak-arakan cengkir. This design resulted in an innovation to preserve the traditional Ceprotan ceremonial tradition and batik art in the fashion sector .

STEAM Study on Local Wisdom of Batik Tulis Yogyakarta to Develop Science Teaching Materials

Batik tulis is one of Indonesia's cultural heritage which is rich in meaning and philosophical value. Batik tulis crafts are scattered in various parts of the region with their respective characteristics. One of the regions producing batik art is Yogyakarta. The process of making batik is often taught in arts and culture subjects in the context of preserving Indonesian culture, even though the process of making batik can also be integrated into science learning. There are many components in the process of making batik tulis related to natural science material. This research aims to determine aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) in the process of making batik for the development of junior high school science teaching materials. This research method uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling which was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results of this study indicate that the local wisdom of batik tulis Yogyakarta contains STEAM aspects in the manufacturing process and can be used as science learning material in junior high schools.

The Spirit and Elements of Malaysian Multiculturalism in Chuah Thean Teng’s Batik Paintings

This paper examines the batik paintings of Chinese artist Chuah Thean Teng in the context of Malaysia’s multicultural society. Batik, an ancient traditional craft in Malaysia, was initially produced on textiles through wax and dyes and is often applied to daily clothing and objects. As such, the motifs and elements of batik paintings are closely related to the local culture and have a high symbolic value. Chuah Thean Teng has improved and developed the batik process into a work of art with aesthetic value. This paper aims to understand the social and cultural climate of the time through a generalised analysis of the results of Chuah Thean Teng to evaluate the artistic elements embedded in the batik works. The paper adopts an art historical research approach, which consists mainly of form and context analysis. The study is descriptive, with data in the form of text and images, including the artworks themselves, publications, books, journals, and other official records. Chuah Thean Teng, a Chinese artist, has inherited and evolved the traditional Malaysian batik art by seeking artistic inspiration in a culturally diverse environment. His work is a hybrid expression, reflecting the exchange and borrowing between cultures. This is in keeping with the historical context of the time and also conveys modern Malaysian art’s inclusiveness, diversity, and richness. As an essential part of contemporary Malaysian art, batik painting is itself a sign of modernity. It is hoped that this study will help to enrich the research and analysis of Malaysian batik painting and, through it, generate interest in batik painting and provide knowledge and methods of interpreting the content of the artwork.

Development of Natural Material-Based Art-Based Learning Model to Stimulate Aesthetic Experiences in Early Children

The purpose of this study is to analyze needs, develop designs, and analyze the effectiveness of nature-based art-based learning models for stimulating aesthetic experiences in early childhood in Kindergarten, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. This research is a type of R&D research and development. The results of the study: 1) teachers and students need a learning model based on natural materials with an art approach so that they can stimulate children's aesthetic experiences. Learning models that can be implemented easily and do not require a lot of money by utilizing nature and the surrounding environment; 2) the design of art-based learning models based on natural materials includes learning natural-based painting, learning natural-based collage art, learning natural-based handicraft art, learning natural-based batik art, learning natural-based color art; 3) the art-based learning model based on natural materials is effective in stimulating children's aesthetic experience. In this case, the value of developing an art-based learning model based on natural materials is effective in stimulating children's aesthetic experience.

Analysis of Batik Marketing Management in South Tapanuli Regency

Sipirok Batik Village is one of the cultural areas in Indonesia which is rich in cultural and historical potential that has been inherited from our ancestors. One of the invaluable heritages owned by the Sipirok batik village is the art of batik which is included in the intangible cultural heritage. Solo batik art, which is the main attraction, is enriched with historical sites such as historic tombs and mosques and other sites. The aims of this research are to: (1). Analyzing marketing management carried out by batik entrepreneurs in Sipirok Batik Village, South Tapanuli Regency, (2). To find out the marketing management carried out by batik entrepreneurs in Sipirok Village, South Tapanuli Regency, (3). To find a new marketing management so that it can further increase batik sales in Sipirok Batik Village, South Tapanuli Regency, (4). This research is expected to be able to contribute to the government to encourage local governments to support the preservation of batik. The research results are: (1). The research planned by the researchers has been successfully implemented in the Sipirok Batik Village, South Tapanuli Regency, (2). The results of data processing show that the marketing carried out by the batik artisans of Kampung Batik Sipirok, South Tapanuli Regency still uses traditional methods as much as 17%, while marketing management is carried out by batik craftsmen using ICT (website) as much as 83%, (3). Based on the SWOT analysis, it can be concluded that the marketing management marketing method that uses internet technology (website) can be applied by batik craftsmen in Sipirok Batik Village, South Tapanuli Regency.

THE MEANING AND FUNCTION OF KLITIKAN SINTOK MOTIFS IN CYNTOK BHATIK

Batik is a work of art of the Indonesian people whereby its beauty is known to the world. Regarded as traditional craftmanship, the design and manufacturing process requires high creativity. Realizing its potential, attention has been given into the establishment of batik as an artistic product as well as to signify the embellishment of its motifs towards commercialization. This paper discusses about Cyntok Batik, a newly established batik designs inspired by a place named Sintok within the state of Kedah. Cyntok batik reflects the creativity of the designers that blends together the socio-cultural and natural identity to create a typical regional batik. The batik design with the name "Klitikan Sintok" is one of the works of batik art developed based on typical fauna found in Sintok, Kedah particularly. The motif was inspired by native crops within Sintok vicinity, namely Sintok staples and bougainvillea flowers. the investigation of the significance and purpose of the batik design work "Klitikan Sintok" aims to determine the meaning and function content of the work. "Klitikan sintok" batik design contains the functional values with embedded meaning in the composition of the motifs and conformity with the characteristics of Kedah, as well as the content of its philosophical meaning.

DAWET BAYAT DAN POHON AREN DALAM BUSANA VINTAGE

The creation of this Final Project is titled “Dawet Bayat and Palm Trees in Vintage” is a from of ideas and appreciation developed by individuals with the aim of understanding the concept of making batik motifs by taking a dawet Bayat idea. The process and embodiment of batik works with dawet Bayat batik motif with remasol color substances, which are processed by individuals to create batik that has an aesthetic value and feelings from the author conveyed to the connoisseur of work, and as well as being the urge to keep the author. Dawet Bayat and plam trees are the art value in a work of batik motif can be channeled directly to the community, especially the people in the Bayat area. Everything is poured directly by the author into Batik art works and visual art to be a work that is acceptable to the public, and the creation of batik works that have difference from batik spread in Indonesia. The media used in fashion is the cotton cloth. This work realization process uses a method of creation that can help the process of work. Creation methods include data collection, data analysis, work designer, and labor embodiment. In the embodiment this final task, it makes 4 works, the entire collection of works is called “Dawet Wigunani” which is inspired by the Dawet Bayat and palm tree.

Penerapan Metode Game Devlopment Life Cycle (GDLC) pada Pengembangan Game Motif Batik Khas Yogyakarta

Batik art is one of the arts of the Indonesian nation which continues to grow and develop today. Batik is a cultural heritage that must be preserved so that it is not claimed by foreign nations as its cultural heritage. Batik is often identified as something that is less attractive because it is considered old-fashioned and does not keep up with the times, causing almost a decade since the establishment of batik as a national culture, many do not know about it. Many people are trapped in the confusion of distinguishing batik from printed textile fabrics with batik motifs. Providing knowledge about batik from the age of children through the media of games is certainly the right thing to introduce and add insight to the art of Indonesian batik. In this research, a game will be developed to introduce batik motifs, especially batik motifs typical of Yogyakarta using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method where in this method there are 6 stages of development carried out which include the initialization stage, the pre-production stage, the production stage, the testing stage. alpha, beta release and release version. The developed game application can later be used to introduce batik to children. Through the game that was built, it is hoped that it can increase appreciation for the art of batik, in order to raise awareness and love for batik by fulfilling knowledge about batik.

Relevance of batik art therapy in emotional regulation teaching method

In the school setting, intervention for children with special educational needs typically focuses on reading, writing, and counting skills, with less attention paid to the aspects of emotional regulation. Emotional regulation and management skills are essential for students with special education needs . This article, therefore, aims to identify and discuss the need for exposure and the development of an emotional regulation teaching method, that utilizes batik art therapy as a pedagogical strategy. For a need’s assessment, an open-ended survey was conducted with 35 special education teachers identified using the purposeful sampling technique. The research used thematic analysis, which showed the need to develop emotional regulation teaching methods and a strong teachers’ interest in attending formal emotional regulation training programs. At the same time, the relevance of batik art therapy as a teaching method for emotional regulation was strongly supported by the special education teachers involved. The research findings pointed to the need to develop an emotional regulation teaching method using the batik art therapy approach.
