Photocatalytic and antibacterial properties of rGO blended BaSnO3 (rBS) perovskite synthesized by reducing graphene oxide using Moringa olifera leaf extract have been studied in this work and compared to those obtained from BaSnO3 (BS) produced by chemical precipitation. BS and rBS exhibited cubic structure with their crystallite sizes being equal to 43 and 37 nm, respectively. Disturbances in BaSnO3 crystal nucleation with rGO inclusion might have reduced the crystallite size of the rBS composite. The oxidation states of Ba, Sn and O in the rBS composite from XPS spectrum were found to be Ba2+, Sn2+ and O2–, respectively. Inclusion of rGO decreased BS's optical band gap from 3.12 eV to 3.0 eV. With rGO inclusion, the photodegradation efficiency of BS against CR dye increased from 78.3 % to 91 %. Due to increased ROS production with rGO blending, the rBS nanocomposite exhibited better antibacterial efficacy.
