Background and Aims: Nowadays, technology clearly plays an important role in people's daily lives. We live in an era where borderless communication has made great progress. Various conveniences have been invented and developed that help in human life. Allows us to access information quickly and more conveniently. More and more, therefore, humans are beginning to see the importance of information and its use. As a result, technology has become an important part that strengthens the basic necessities of life. Learning and adapting to new technology is necessary now and in the future. This research aims to: (1) Study the level of use of technology in administration by school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. (2) Compare opinions about the use of technology in administration between school administrators and teachers in Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. (3) Study guidelines for developing the use of technology in the administration of school administrators in the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. Methodology: The research sample consisted of 317 school administrators and teachers. The sample size was determined according to Krejci and Morgan's table. This resulted in a consistency index between 0.80 and 1.00, while the reliability value of the entire questionnaire was 0.86. For data analysis, statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used. Including t-test. and examining the pairwise average by dividing the F value. Results: The results of the research are as follows: (1) The use of technology in the management of school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, overall and in each aspect, is at a high level. (2) Results of comparing opinions on the use of technology in the administration of educational institution administrators according to position. Work experience and the size of the educational institution found that there was no difference. (3) Guidelines for developing the use of technology in the administration of educational institution administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, consisting of 4 areas: 1) academic administration, 2) budget management, 3) Human resource management and 4) general administration Conclusion: Development of the use of technology in the management of educational institution administrators under the jurisdiction of the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, resulting in change and creating opportunities for the organization. modification organizational operating structure to increase efficiency in production and service relationships within the organization.

Capturing autonomy, competence, and relatedness at work: further examining and validating an English language version of the work-related basic need satisfaction scale.

Self-Determination Theory (SDT) maintains that the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness is associated with optimal individual functioning, including in the workplace. A self-report instrument, the Work-related Basic Need Satisfaction scale (W-BNS), has previously been developed and validated in Dutch and Italian. We aimed to validate an English version of the W-BNS. We also evaluated a bifactor model to assess the extent to which the item responses could be explained by a single, underlying general latent trait. A Rasch calibration was also carried out to assess the extent to which the scores conformed to the assumptions of 'fundamental measurement' and could be converted to a common metric. We used data from 141 staff employed by a large UK-based mental health service provider. The postulated three-factor structure provided a good fit to the data. However, a bifactor model, introducing an underlying general factor, provided a superior fit. The items generally conformed to the Rasch measurement model. Evidence of convergent/divergent validity was observed via the correlations between the W-BNS scores and those for the Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction and Frustration Scale (BPNFS). Regarding construct validity, both the separate needs and total W-BNS scores statistically significantly predicted an individual's reported intention to leave the current employer. Our findings foster research with the WBNS and have implications for how the W-BNS is optimally implemented in practice as a useful brief tool for assessing staff work-related need satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of financial literacy and spiritual intelligence on the financial management of mothers' culinary MSME players in Galang District. This research is a quantitative study with a population of 57 MSME players in the culinary sector in Galang District. Data was collected using a questionnaire given to 57 respondents. The analysis technique of this research is the research method is a descriptive approach using the SEM PLS analysis technique using SMARTPLS 4 software. The results of the study (1) financial literacy as a positive and significant effect on financial management, (2) spiritual intelligence has a positive but insignificant effect on financial management. The soaring prices of basic necessities urge women with the status of housewives to trade small to sustain the family economy. For this reason, in running their business, mothers must also understand the importance of financial literacy and spiritual intelligence in managing their business finances.

Evolution and development tendencies of material handling machines

The tools used during mobilities are very diverse, but their operation and structure can be traced back to the same basic principles that created the material handling machines during the previous centuries. Today, knowledge of material handling machines has become a basic necessity not only for industrial and service processes, but also for people's everyday lives, since our lives are almost unimaginably filled with different means of transportation, or without using the vehicles that transport and load our daily consumer goods. As in all areas, material handling is becoming more and more modern, and equipment that serves social and economic needs at a high level is used. One of the most defining characteristics of today's consumer society is extremely rapid change, which also affects our devices, so the design of material handling machines is also constantly changing. An important question of competitive service is how to meet rapidly changing needs. In my article, I review the development of material handling equipment, or the most important handling machines used in modern systems. Based on the outlined processes and technical changes, I will try to show where material handling is headed, what trends prevail today or are expected in server systems of the near future.

Health and environmental impacts of Gaza conflict (2023-2024): A review

The war in Gaza, which erupted on October 7, 2023, unleashed unprecedented assaults from the air, sea, and land, affecting the densely populated area of 360 square kilometers housing 2.3 million people. The conflict claimed over 36 000 Palestinian lives, with women and children making up 70% of the casualties, and resulted in more than 80 000 injuries. The devastation was extensive, with over 70% of homes destroyed, along with six universities, numerous hospitals, communication networks, sewage systems, water desalination plants, roads, wells, and other essential infrastructure. Over a million people were displaced from the northern regions to the southern coastal area of Al-Mawasi, which constitutes less than 3% of Gaza's total area, facing dire shortages of water, healthcare, food, and medicine. The collapse of sewage networks and garbage accumulation led to an increase in flies, mosquitoes, insects, and rodents, contributing to the spread of infectious and non-communicable diseases among the displaced population. This research aimed to study the health and environmental impacts of the war in Gaza through data collection, field visits, and photographic documentation. The findings revealed catastrophic conditions, with the destruction of all infrastructure, including buildings, hospitals, universities, mosques, churches, sanitation, water networks, and communications, and the spread of diseases such as intestinal, respiratory infections, and skin infections due to the complete lack of basic life necessities.

The Basic Needs in Games Model of Video Game Play and Mental Health

Abstract Existing theories of how game use relates to mental health have important limitations: few account for both quantity and quality of use, differentiate components of mental health (hedonic wellbeing, eudaimonic wellbeing and illbeing), provide an explanation for both positive and negative outcomes or readily explain the well-evidenced absence of playtime effects on mental health. Many also lack the specificity to be readily falsifiable. In response, we present the Basic Needs in Games (BANG) model. Grounded in self-determination theory, BANG proposes that mental health outcomes of game use are in large part mediated by the motivational quality of play and the extent to which play quantity and quality lead to need satisfaction or frustration. We show how BANG addresses the limitations of current theories and aligns with emerging evidence on the etiologies of disordered play. Thus, BANG advances HCI theory on the impact of games and other interactive technologies on mental health.

The Detection of Invalid Responses Using the Dissociative Experiences Scale-V (DES-V)

ABSTRACT The Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES) is the most widely used self-report measure of dissociation but lacks a validity scale. Abu-Rus et al. (2020) created the DES-V by embedding atypical and inconsistency items in the DES, ultimately concluding that atypicality demonstrated the greatest ability to differentiate honest respondents from feigners. Among their study limitations, Abu-Rus et al. noted the homogeneous nature of their clinical group (i.e., largely comprising individuals with PTSD) and the potential need to refine the existing atypicality items for a more heterogenous dissociation population. The current study aimed to refine the DES-V by enlisting dissociation experts to improve the believability of the atypical items (while simultaneously ensuring they did not betoken any actual dissociative symptomology) and by supplementing the online sample with a clinical sample that included a broad range of dissociative disorders. Data cleaning comprised eight different techniques, to better ensure the validity of the online sample. Honest and Feigning groups completed the assessments through Amazon’s Mechanical Turk; the clinical dissociative disorder group completed hard copy versions. The atypicality scale discriminated the three groups well, with the Feigning group scoring significantly higher than both of the honest groups (online and clinical). The mean atypicality scores of the two honest groups did not differ significantly. In addition, the scale incremented over the original DES-V in a logistic regression predicting honest and feigning participants. These robust results suggest that the revised DES-V could provide researchers with a valuable tool for validating online samples with greater precision – an increasingly vital need in light of the growing reliance on online samples.

ENHANCING THE RESILIENCE OF IOT NETWORKS: STRATEGIES AND MEASURES FOR MITIGATING DDOS ATTACKS

The Internet of Things (IoTs) are emerging and become a vital need in our daily routine. The privacy protection and insecurity of these IoT-based devices face many challenges. Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks in IoT networks become a significant growing challenge that is addressed in this research. The resilience and strategy for IoT devices due to distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks assess current security measures by proposing modern procedures to upgrade the strength of IoT frameworks. This article proposes a mechanism that mitigiates the effects of DDoS attacks in IoTs, that cause significant destruction to existing systems. Utilizing secondary data from Kaggle, the machine is trained and tested. Our proposed approach incorporates descriptive statistics, correlations, t-tests, chi-square tests, and regression analyses to supply a systematic understanding of IoT security by critically analyzing the existing variants of numerous DDoS attacks, Security issues in IoTs, and creation of them in Botnets or zombies. Our findings show that the proposed security techniques are viable and detection rates correlate with security viability. The proposed model asses various network threat and cybersecurity arrangements for mitigating DDoS attacks in IoT’s and outperforms the previously implemented Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Mitigation, Resource Prioritisation, and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)based DDoS mitigation techniques by 80.5%, 88%, 86% in terms of effectiveness, T-test, chi test, and correlation.

Impact of different parameters in tribological properties of enset ventricosum/ terminalia arjuna fibers /SiO2 filler incorporation

Natural fiber composites have garnered considerable interest in recent years as sustainable substitutes for synthetic materials, owing to their environmental advantages, including renewability, biodegradability, and cost-effectiveness. Notwithstanding these benefits, there is a vital need to improve the mechanical and tribological characteristics of these composites for applications involving significant wear. This work used compression molding to make hybrid composites with natural fibers (NFs) and nano silicon dioxide (nSiO2) filler. The matrix material was epoxy, and the natural reinforcements were Enset ventricosum (EV) and Terminalia arjuna (TA) fibers. Tensile (TS), flexural (FS), and impact (IS) characteristics improved using 1:1 SiO2 filler and EV/TA fiber reinforcement. The combination of 6 wt% SiO2 and 45 wt% EV/TA improved mechanical performance. A high SiO2 filler (6 wt%) in polymer-based composites decreased Specific Wear Rate (SWR), according to Taguchi optimization. A better fiber-matrix interaction improves the mechanical characteristics of materials with fillers. This study optimized several responses using the new combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) method. Multi-criteria decision making is used here. This study introduces Method based on the Removal Effects of Criteria (MEREC) to determine objective criteria weights. Conclusions from experiments show ideal results. CoCoSo's optimization study showed that Enset ventricosum and Terminalia arjuna fiber (EV/TA) hybridization affected composites' tribological behavior.This hybrid fiber combination carried the most influence, followed by fillers. The optimal results were obtained with 6 wt% SiO2/25 wt% EV/TA Hybrid fiber, 1000 m Sliding distance (SD), 2 m/s Sliding speed (SS), and 10 N axial load (AL).

Material hardship and use of social safety net programs among LGBT adults and their families

AbstractLesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people experience higher levels of economic insecurity and poverty compared to non‐LGBT people. Social safety net programs may reduce this disparity, but the uptake of these programs among LGBT adults has rarely been assessed. We conducted a secondary data analysis of the 2018–2020 Well‐Being and Basic Needs Survey to compare differences in material hardship and social safety net program utilization between LGBT and non‐LGBT adults in the United States. LGBT participants were more likely to report lack of an emergency fund, food insecurity, utilities hardship, medical hardship, and multiple material hardships. LGBT adults had higher odds compared to non‐LGBT adults of using SNAP, income‐ or disability‐based insurance, SSI or SSDI, and housing assistance. There were no differences in use of WIC, reduced‐price/free school lunch benefits, or charitable food. Future studies are needed to evaluate the efficacy of the social safety net programs for reducing material hardship.

ABSTRACT The present study aimed to explore the effect of the PERMA (Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationship, Meaning, and Accomplishment) flourishing intervention on basic psychological needs satisfaction in hard-of-hearing adolescents. This research was a quasi-randomised controlled trial design. Twenty-eight hard-of-hearing adolescents aged 14–17 years were randomly selected from the Deaf Center and Baghcheban Deaf School in Kashan, Iran. They were randomly replaced to experimental (n = 13) or control (n = 15) groups. The experimental group participated in the 10-session intervention, while the control group did not participate in this programme. Both groups completed the Basic Needs Satisfaction in General Scale (BNSG-S before and after intervention. The results showed that after intervention, scores on the subscales of basic psychological needs (competence, autonomy, and relatedness) in hard-of-hearing adolescents significantly and positively increased (p < 0.001). Therefore, the PERMA flourishing intervention was feasible and acceptable to these adolescents.

Using a Financial Stress Index (FSI) and employing the panel threshold regression technique, the study unveils significant threshold effects of institutional quality on the IFI-FSI nexus, with variations across different institutional factors. This study underscores the vital need for policymakers to identify threshold levels in institutional quality indicators to strike a balance between attracting investments and preventing unwarranted financial distress.

Students’ Intention to Adopt E-learning Platform for College English Study: Mediating Effect of Satisfaction of Basic Psychological Needs

E-learning platform (ELP) provides economic and efficient channels to share and learn knowledge online without time and location restrictions. Earlier studies have identified determinants that impact students’ intention to use new technologies in different learning contexts, yet few have tried to investigate the effect of students’ satisfaction of basic psychological needs during the adoption process. Based on the framework of UTAUT2, this study has tested the mediating role of satisfaction of basic psychological needs to better comprehend the relationships between the antecedents and intention. The partial least square structural equation modeling was used for data analysis, findings indicate that performance expectancy, learning value, hedonic motivation, and habit significantly impact students’ willingness to adopt ELP for college English study. As for the mediating effect of students’ satisfaction of basic psychological needs, it fully mediates the relationship between effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and intention while partially mediating the relationship between performance expectancy, learning value, hedonic motivation, habit, and intention. The study aids in grasping the key factors to increase students’ adoption of ELP and offers recommendations to increase students’ participation, learning efficiency, and their satisfaction of basic psychological needs for competence, autonomy, and relatedness during college English study with ELP.
