New Physics in the 3-3-1 models

The fundamental basics of the Standard Model such as local gauge symmetry and mass generation via the Higgs mechanism are widely confirmed by current experimental data. However, some problems such as neutrino masses, dark matter, baryon asymmetry of Universe have clearly indicated that the Standard Model cannot be the ultimate theory of Nature. To surpass the mentioned puzzles, many extensions of the Standard Model (called beyond Standard Model) have been proposed. Among beyond Standard Models, the 3-3-1 models have some intriguing features and they get wide attention. The pioneer models develop in some directions. In this paper, some versions of the 3-3-1 models and new consequences are presented.

Gravitational wave signatures of a PBH-generated baryon-dark matter coincidence

We propose a new way of probing non-thermal origin of baryon asymmetry of universe (BAU) and dark matter (DM) from evaporating primordial black holes (PBH) via stochastic gravitational waves (GW) emitted due to PBH density fluctuations. We adopt a baryogenesis setup where CP violating out-of-equilibrium decays of a coloured scalar, produced non-thermally at late epochs from PBH evaporation, lead to the generation of BAU. The same PBH evaporation is also responsible for non-thermal origin of superheavy DM. Unlike the case of baryogenesis {\it via leptogeneis} that necessarily corners the PBH mass to $\sim\mathcal{O}(1)$ g, here we can have PBH mass as large as $\sim\mathcal{O}(10^7)$ g due to the possibility of producing BAU directly below sphaleron decoupling temperature. Due to the larger allowed PBH mass we can also have observable GW with mHz-kHz frequencies originating from PBH density fluctuations keeping the model constrained and verifiable at ongoing as well as near future GW experiments like LIGO, BBO, DECIGO, CE, ET etc. Due to the presence of new coloured particles and baryon number violation, the model also has complementary detection prospects at laboratory experiments.

Flavor symmetric origin of texture zeros in minimal inverse seesaw and impacts on leptogenesis

We study the prediction of maximal zeros of the Dirac mass matrix on neutrino phenomenology and baryon asymmetry of universe (BAU) within the framework of an inverse seesaw ISS (2,3). We try to find the origin of the allowed two zero textures of the Dirac mass matrix from S4 flavor symmetry. ISS (2,3) model contains two pairs of quasi-Dirac particles and one sterile state in the keV scale along with three active neutrinos. The decays of the quasi-Dirac pairs create lepton asymmetry that can be converted to baryon asymmetry of the universe by the sphaleron process. Thus, BAU can be explained in this framework through leptogenesis. We study BAU in all the two zero textures of the Dirac mass matrix. The viabilities of the textures within the framework have been verified with the latest cosmology data on BAU.

A phenomenological study on the production of Higgs bosons in the cSMCS model at the LHC

In the present work, we intend to predict the production rates of the Higgs bosons in the simplest extension of the Standard Model (SM) by a neutral complex singlet (cSMCS). This model has an additional source of CP violation and provides strong enough first-order electroweak phase transition to generate the baryon asymmetry of universe (BAU). The scalar spectrum of the cSMCS includes three neutral Higgs particles with the lightest one considered to be the 125 GeV Higgs boson found at LHC. The SM-like Higgs boson comes mostly from the SM-like SU(2) doublet, with a small correction from the singlet. To predict the production rates of the Higgs bosons, we use a conventional effective LO QCD framework and the unintegrated parton distribution functions (UPDF) of Kimber–Martin–Ryskin (KMR). We first compute the SM Higgs production cross-section and compare the results to the existing theoretical calculations from different frameworks as well as the experimental data from the CMS and ATLAS collaborations. It is shown that our framework is capable of producing sound predictions for these high-energy QCD events in the SM. Afterwards we present our predictions for the Higgs boson production in the cSMCS.
