In volleyball, the ball was changed for each Olympics, and a new panel ball was adopted at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Currently, volleyball tournaments are held with two balls, Mikasa and Molten, but the ball shapes are different. Since the ball panel and surface roughness greatly affect the flight trajectory of the ball, the content and tactics of the game will also change. Therefore, we measured the flight trajectory of the ball and the force applied to the ball from the injection experiment and the wind tunnel experiment. From the results, it was confirmed that the flight distance became shorter as the number of revolutions increased. It was also considered that the surface shape had more influence on the ball than the panel shape of the ball. Based on these results, the purpose is to propose a jump serve that can be dropped in front of the apparent flight trajectory, and to obtain materials for improving skills and leadership.
