Effective Classroom Management as a Quick Solution to Improve Student Participation and Motivation in the Learning Process

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of classroom management in increasing student participation and motivation at MI Darul Akhlak, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This study observes how the implementation of good classroom management can create a conducive learning environment and encourage students to be more active in learning. The results of the study indicate that effective classroom management, including careful planning, flexible seating arrangements, the use of relevant learning media, and positive interactions between teachers and students, can increase student focus and involvement in the learning process. Some obstacles in the implementation of classroom management include low student awareness of learning responsibilities, and the existence of disruptive extracurricular activities. In conclusion, good classroom management plays an important role in creating a conducive learning atmosphere and increasing student motivation. It is recommended that teachers maximize classroom management strategies and involve students in the learning process. Students are also expected to be able to increase awareness of the importance of active participation in teaching and learning activities.

VULNERABILIDADE DOS MIGRANTES E REFUGIADOS VENEZUELANOS NO ESTADO DE RONDÔNIA: CONDIÇÕES ANÁLOGAS À ESCRAVIDÃO ESTADO

The present study aims to analyze the causes of vulnerability among migrants and refugees in the state of Rondônia in relation to conditions of work analogous to slavery. The investigation is based on the premise that migrants face a series of factors that place them in situations of labor exploitation, including a lack of documentation, ignorance of their rights, and a scarcity of dignified employment opportunities. In Rondônia, the presence of migrants, especially those coming from countries like Venezuela, has increased in recent years, intensifying the need for an approach that ensures the protection of these individuals' human rights.The research also addresses the socioeconomic characteristics of these migrants, the working conditions they are subjected to, and the implications of current legislation, such as the Migration Law, in protecting against exploitation and eradicating work analogous to slavery. Through a qualitative, bibliographic, and descriptive methodology, the study presents the labor conditions and applicable legislation, identifying existing gaps in the protection of migrants and proposing pathways for the realization of their rights, while promoting awareness of civil responsibility in situations of slave labor.In summary, the research aims to contribute to the construction of a more just and equitable environment for migrants and refugees in Rondônia, highlighting the urgent need for effective actions by the state and civil society.

Quantitative study on the impact of perceived corporate social responsibility on employee performance at plant protection companies in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam

This article presents the results of a formal quantitative survey (Main Study or Official Survey) on the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility Awareness on Employee Performance at plant protection products manufacturing enterprises in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The objective is to examine the impact of Perceived Corporate Social Responsibility (PCSR) on employee performance (EP), with the mediating role of organizational trust (OT) and the moderating role of organizational reputation (OR). The Main Study with 385 samples, used SPSS and AMOS to test Cronbach's Alpha, EFA, CFA and SEM models. The results of the impact coefficients showed that PCSR positively affects EWR with OT as the mediator, and OR as the moderator of this relationship. The coefficients obtained prove that the research hypothesis is appropriate. The research results also provide useful information for managers to better understand the impact of PCSR on employee performance, thereby making appropriate strategic adjustments to business goals. Due to the limited space and sample size, this is a limitation of the study.

Impact Of Corporate Social Responsibility Awareness, The Intermediate Role of Organizational Trust on Employee Work Performance: A Study at Pesticide Production Enterprises in The Mekong Delta

This article is completed from research at enterprises operating in the field of plant protection products in the Mekong Delta - Vietnam, the purpose of the research is to examine the impact of corporate social responsibility awareness (PCSR) on employee performance (EWR), perceived task orientation (IRTP), organizational citizenship behavior at the individual level (OCB-I) and the organizational level (OCB-O), through the mediating role of organizational trust (OT), the moderating role of organizational reputation (OR). Through pilot testing of 100 samples and official quantitative survey of 385 samples to test Cronbach's Alpha coefficients, EFA, CFA and SEM structural model using SPSS, AMOS Version 4.2. The results show that: PCSR has a positive impact on EWR with OT as the intermediary. There is a moderating effect of OR on the relationship between PCSR and OT. The obtained coefficient values answered the hypotheses H1; H2a; H2b; H2c; H3; H4; H5; H6 respectively 0.687; 0.374; 0.606; 0.602; 0.229; 0.153; 0.159; 0.185. The results of the research model help business managers have more insight into the impact of corporate social responsibility awareness with the mediating role of organizational trust on employee work performance. Thereby, helping business leaders make appropriate adjustments to meet the desired goals of the business. The research is still limited in space and sample size.

Increasing the Manifestation of the Sustainable Development Principles in Logistics Organizations

The logistics sector is increasingly pressured to integrate sustainable development principles to align with their corporate goals. This paper reviews theoretical and practical frameworks of the logistics industry to examine how service providers in the sector can achieve a balanced economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Businesses are purposely created to maximize profits; however, increased awareness of corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability has made them to look beyond that. Logistics service providers that adopt sustainable practices stand to benefit from long-term cost savings, improved brand reputation, and enhanced stakeholder relationships. Performed research leads us to point out that IoT, big data and blockchain are a some of the digital enablers that improve sustainability. Such advancements are necessary to minimize carbon emission, enhance the transparency of supply chain, and minimize negative effects on environment. At the same time, the literature analyzes emphasizes the fact that collaboration between various actors also contributes to the creation of incentives for achieving the goal of creating sustainable logistics systems. The literature points to stakeholder theory whose focus is on the issues of transparency, cooperation, and novelty in managing supply chains. The model gives a structure for achieving business objectives of generating returns without considering environmental and social factors. Obtained results also highlights those policies such as tax incentives given to companies that meet environmental standards weigh in greatly. Such measures have the potential to steer the logistics sector towards more sustainable operations with a corresponding competitiveness and economic growth. However, it is important to point out that more radical changes are required for reaching the desired state of sustainable development. Consequently, continuous investment in sustainable technologies, supportive government policies, and stakeholder collaboration are key to fostering a profitable logistics industry

ON SOME ISSUES OF IMPROVING LEGISLATION IN THE FIELD OF WASTE MANAGEMENT OF PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION

Environmental pollution caused by waste-related activities remains one of the main problems of modern society. Improper waste management has serious consequences for the environment, human health and the economy. It is necessary to strictly comply with legislation, develop effective waste management strategies and raise awareness of environmental responsibility to solve these problems. Legislation on the management of production and consumption waste is regulated by regulatory legal acts, primarily the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc. The article suggests some ways to improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of waste management, developed scientifically sound recommendations and proposals for their implementation. In this regard, the authors identified gaps, as well as duplicate, outdated norms, conducted an audit of the conceptual apparatus and assessed the effectiveness of the implementation of the Law. In particular, it is recommended to adopt a special law regulating public relations related to the management of production and consumption waste. A review and analysis of scientific and legal approaches to the management of production and consumption waste has been carried out, on the basis of which it is proposed to update the terminology used within the framework of waste management legislation: «waste», «waste of production», «waste of consumption», «waste of consumption and production». Thus, the relevance of this study is enhanced due to the objective needs of further improving the effectiveness of legislation in the field of waste management, its consistency and consistency.

Examining the impact of open schooling in science education: the case of educational seismology

ABSTRACT This study explores the impact of science education projects focusing on educational seismology to enhance school openness and enrich students’ civic responsibility and views on their science learning. The sample comprised 515 students from 33 different schools. The study involved specialised training for educators and administrators on integrating seismology into an open schooling framework. Schools then developed and implemented projects that incorporated stakeholder engagement and addressed societal issues. The evaluation employed four tools, namely the seismology-related projects developed by each school, a Self-Reflection Tool to measure organisational changes of participating schools, the ‘My Science Classes’ questionnaire assessing student views of their science learning, and the ‘Civic Responsibility Survey’ to assess students civic responsibility awareness. Data, analysed through qualitative and quantitative methods, revealed varied project types, differing in terms of student involvement and stakeholder engagement. Results showed a significant rise in perceived school openness post-project and a positive shift in student views towards science learning and civic engagement awareness. These findings highlight the effectiveness of integrating real-world issues through science education, such as educational seismology, suggesting significant implications for curriculum design and educational policy by emphasizing the importance of project-based learning and community engagement in fostering academic and civic excellence.

THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE FORMATION OF SPIRITUAL CULTURE IN FUTURE TEACHERS OF ARTISTS

The problem of spirituality, spiritual culture and their role in the formation of the creative personality of student youth is quite relevant. The process of forming spirituality is an important aspect of the modern humane educational paradigm. According to the scientific community, it is spirituality that expresses the degree of "humanization" of the pedagogical process. Questions of spirituality have interested humanity at all times and have been studied by many sciences: philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, ethics, aesthetics, etc. In the New Ukrainian School Program in the Progress to Values, it is stated that now it is important to intensify efforts to raise the spiritual level of Ukrainian youth, to form a stable system of deep moral and spiritual values in them. The purpose of the article is to describe the concept of spiritual culture and the formation of artistic ideas in future teachers during the study of Ukrainian folk art. Analysis, synthesis and modeling methods were used to study the state of research. The results of our research was carried out with the help of empirical methods: pedagogical observation, questionnaires, interviews, testing, the method of experimental evaluations. Mathematical statistics methods were used to process the research results. In the research, we used a complex of general scientific and pedagogical methods. To ensure an objective and comprehensive study of the researched phenomenon, an analysis of scientific, scientific-methodical, and art sources was carried out; the state of development of the problem and prospects for further research were determined; generalization of pedagogical experience in teaching art in a higher education institution. The formation of a spiritual personality takes place in the interconnected process of education and training. An important role in the formation of the spiritual sphere of the individual belongs to education. Its tasks are classified according to the following directions: formation of a scientific outlook; education of a conscious attitude to learning, development of cognitive activity and culture of mental work; education of political consciousness and development of civic activity; education of a creative attitude to work, preparation for a conscious choice of profession; education of morality and culture of behavior; formation of legal awareness and education of civil responsibility; education of aesthetic culture and development of artistic abilities, etc.

From Farm to Fork: Addressing Food Waste in Households

With the rising environmental awareness, the issue of food waste is drawing considerable attention from civil society, scholars, industry practitioners and policymakers alike. Addressing food waste is crucial, as it incurs a variety of social, health, economic and environmental costs, including greenhouse gas emissions, soil degradation and the depletion of natural resources. The objective of this study is to analyze processes in food waste management to gain insight into factors influencing consumer behaviour, attitudes, and practices regarding consumption and food waste and loss prevention in the supply chain. This requires the analysis of decision making methods and waste reduction strategies and approaches, particularly for households. The goal is to emphasize the importance of raising consumer awareness and sense of individual responsibility, especially given the recent surge in collective community intentions to live more sustainably. However, translating these intentions into tangible actions is uncertain and filled with socio-economic complexities. Reports indicate that, households are responsible for approximately half of all food waste generated. Therefore, it's important to review the literature on barriers and triggers related to behaviour patterns and variations in food related lifestyle dimensions, to determine the factors that might influence food handling and food waste knowledge. Targeting households presents a promising starting point for future interventions, highlighting actions that may influence the current food consumption model to reduce the amount of food wasted. The methodological approach was structured into three steps. First, a literature review was conducted to gather insights and identify factors and interconnections between consumer behaviour and food waste. Second, related drivers and triggers were analysed. Lastly, the findings were summarized to highlight gaps and opportunities for improving attitudes towards food waste prevention.

The demand for reporting environmental sustainability and social responsibility: insight from Saudi Arabia corporate reports

Purpose In countries where disclosing and reporting matters on sustainability are optional, what are the drivers promoting voluntarily disclosing information related to social responsibility and environmental sustainability corporate environmental and social responsibility? Exploring drivers promoting the demand for voluntarily disclosing information related to social responsibility and environmental sustainability in Saudi Arabia, where regulatory and professional bodies have not mandated information on corporate environmental and social responsibility, motivates this study. Design/methodology/approach A total of 48 individuals voluntarily participated in the survey. Findings Findings reveal that creating a better social, ethical and mental image, building a public relations image for the company, improving stakeholder trust in the company, signaling to investors the company’s care for the earth to meet the ethical motivation of stakeholders, enhancing corporate social responsibility awareness and exhibiting surpasses the mere generation of profits, all derive such disclosure. Such disclosure also signifies the firm’s value as well as improves the overall firm’s economic performance. Practical implications Regulatory and professional bodies must issue and adopt reporting models for entities, principally private companies, whether publicly traded or not, of the content. Their reports should aim to inform users and stakeholders about fulfilling the social and environmental responsibilities of entities toward society and its members. Social implications Out of the drivers for the demand, perceptions of elders toward meeting ethical motivation of senior management significantly differ from that of younger. Originality/value Few studies have been attempted on drivers of the demand for reporting environmental sustainability and social responsibility in an environment where such reporting is not mandated. This study offers insight from Saudi Arabian corporate reports.

Study on the role of the Civil Code in promoting the legalization of corporate social responsibility

The promulgation and implementation of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China provides important legal guarantees for corporate social responsibility (CSR), marking a key process in the transformation of corporate responsibility from moral constraints to legal norms. This paper takes the Civil Code as the core to explore its role in promoting the legalization of corporate social responsibility. First, by analyzing the provisions related to corporate responsibility in the Civil Code, this paper reveals its requirements for the standardization of corporate social responsibility. Secondly, this paper points out that the Civil Code promotes enterprises from self-discipline to external discipline through institutional innovation and responsibility balance mechanism, and promotes the balance between economic development and social interests of enterprises. At the same time, this paper analyzes the impact of the Civil Code on corporate social responsibility and the challenges faced by enterprises in the process of implementation, such as the lack of awareness of legal obligations by enterprises and the legal risks when fulfilling their responsibilities, etc. Finally, this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for further improving the legalization of corporate social responsibility, including strengthening legal supporting measures, improving corporate responsibility awareness and government-driven policy support, in order to provide theoretical support and practical reference for promoting the legalization of corporate social responsibility in my country.

Perception of Mangrove Social–Ecological System Governance in Southeastern Cuba

This study examined local communities’ perceptions of mangroves in coastal southeastern Cuba. A variety of methods were employed, including mixed and structured questionnaire surveys, interviews with key informants, and document reviews. Data were gathered from 334 respondents living in communities adjacent to four mangrove social–ecological systems (SESs). The analysis focused on five variables: community use of mangrove resources, ecosystem services, threats to the ecosystem, management activities, and social–ecological relationships. To qualitatively assess the influence of social–ecological relationships and governance, a matrix was created based on anthropogenic activities identified by respondents and their perceptions of ecosystem services. A Spearman’s rank correlation analysis was performed between demographic variables and identified mangrove uses. The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to compare the frequency of mangrove uses and the perception of ecosystem services among the studied areas. The results indicate that, while local people recognise the uses and ecosystem services of mangroves, they do not rely on them for their livelihoods. Perceptions of ecosystem services vary significantly depending on the occupation of the respondents and the locality. They also showed moderate to full awareness of management responsibilities and activities at each site. The most commonly identified threats were climate change, drought, and deforestation. Three types of social–ecological relationships were identified based on the characteristics of the communities, their economic activities, and their impacts on the mangroves: urban–industrial, rural–agricultural, and rural–agricultural/tourism. Based on the results, recommendations are made for ecosystem governance in the southeast of Cuba.

An innovative educational approach to teach high school students the physiological mechanisms and nutrition concepts associated with the development of obesity.

An interdisciplinary team-teaching session was introduced to high school students who participated in the Oakland University William Beaumont Future Physician Summer Enrichment Program. The rising prevalence of adolescent obesity necessitates innovative educational strategies that effectively engage high school students in understanding the complex physiologic mechanisms and nutrition concepts underlying its development. This submission presents a session that is designed to integrate the physiological concepts and nutrition that are associated with the development of obesity. Foundational information about the different food ingredients and physiology of the gastrointestinal organ system followed by concepts associated with the development of obesity and its complications were introduced. The session was delivered using combined educational approaches such as a dialogical-narrative approach and hands-on application activities by two discipline experts, physiology and nutrition. This innovative approach was well received, as evidenced by high satisfaction rates among participants. While direct measures of critical thinking and practical skills development were not captured, the positive feedback suggests that students appreciated the engaging, hands-on application of theoretical concepts. The sessions fostered an awareness of personal health responsibilities, with students actively participating and connecting learned material with practical scenarios. We believe that using combined educational approaches in interdisciplinary team-teaching sessions promotes inclusiveness and interactive engagement and enhances long-life learning.NEW & NOTEWORTHY An interdisciplinary team-teaching session was introduced to high school students who participated in the Oakland University William Beaumont Future Physician Summer Enrichment Program. The session aimed to integrate physiological concepts and nutrition that are associated with the development of obesity. The session was delivered using combined educational approaches including a dialogical-narrative approach and hands-on application activity that are guided by combined learning theories such as dialogism, narrative, theories of engagement, and multimedia active learning.

The Effects of Green Technology, Clean Energy, and Green Finance on Faith-Based Investments: Evidence from Islamic Stock Markets

This study examines the long-term relationship between Islamic Stock prices, faith-based investments, green technology, clean energy, and green finance. The variables used in the study are the Clean Energy Index for clean energy, Green Bond Index for green finance, the Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Index for green technology and the Islamic Market Index for Islamic Stocks’ closing prices, as explained by S&P. The utilized research model is the NARDL model, and the findings reveal a cointegration relationship between faith-based and green finance instruments. Green finance instruments are unsuitable for the research period to be used as a safe-haven or effective diversification instrument for faith-based portfolios. Comprehending faith-based investments’ relationship with other green finance assets is critical in supporting sustainable development with financial market instruments, which provide environmental and societal benefits. As a result, apprehending the relationship between faith-based investments and green finance instruments can contribute to increasing social and environmental responsibility awareness in financial markets. The study’s outcomes hold significance in understanding how investors in financial markets react to positive and negative shocks, estimating these effects, efficiently managing portfolios comprising green financial assets and faith-based investments, and formulating an appropriate investment strategy.

Enhancing ITNY students' comprehension of philanthropy through project-based learning

This study explores the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) as a pedagogical approach to enhancing students' understanding of philanthropy at the Institute of Technology National Yogyakarta (ITNY). The research aims to assess how PBL can deepen students' knowledge and practical engagement with philanthropic activities, fostering a more profound appreciation and awareness of social responsibility. Through the integration of real-world projects, students were given opportunities to collaborate, plan, and execute philanthropic initiatives, allowing them to experience firsthand the impact of their contributions.Society 5.0 comes with an orientation to address various social issues, including economic challenges. With the increasing number of students, there is a significant opportunity to respond to Society 5.0 by enhancing students' understanding of philanthropy. Therefore, the aim of this research is to demonstrate that a project-based learning approach is an effective method for deepening students' understanding of philanthropy at ITNY. The methodology involves case studies with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation, while supporting data is gathered from literature. The results indicate that the term philanthropy is not yet familiar among ITNY students; conversely, they are more acquainted with zakat, infaq, sedekah, and wakaf (ZISWAF), as these have become part of their behavioral beliefs. Through project-based learning implemented in Islamic education courses, students not only become familiar with philanthropy but also gain a deeper understanding. Ultimately, students are able to synergize their technical skills with their beliefs in engaging in philanthropy, as evidenced by the products they create.

Environmental Ethics Challenges for Engineers and How to Address Them

Engineers are the core of modern engineering activities, the designers, managers, implementers and supervisors of engineering activities. The special social role of engineers determines that they must take more moral responsibility, not only to the public and others, but also to the environment and the future of mankind. Nowadays, environmental and resource problems have become a major issue that restricts economic development and affects people's life and health.Engineers are facing more challenges from environmental ethics. For example, how to harmonize the relationship between economic and ecological interests, and between the interests of the present generation and those of the future generations, and the weak awareness of environmental ethical responsibility and insufficient ability to protect the environment among some engineers. To cope with these challenges, it is necessary for engineers to make efforts on their own and for society as a whole to work together to form internal and external safeguard mechanisms for engineers to fulfill their environmental ethical responsibilities.

Examining the mediating role of environmental attachment: Exploring the role of green environmental awareness and sense of responsibility in promoting sustainable product consumption among Pakistani consumers

Purpose: This study investigates the mediating effect of Environmental Attachment (EA) among consumers in an emerging market, concentrating on the impact of two key factors: Green Environmental Awareness (GEA) and Sense of Responsibility (SOR) on Sustainable Product Consumption (SPC). Design/methodology/approach: A thorough online survey was carried out with Google Docs and distributed to 304 Pakistani consumers who now use or are considering purchasing sustainable or green products. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to rigorously test the suggested model utilizing a non-probability sampling technique, specifically the stratified purposive sampling approach. Findings: Green environmental awareness (GEA) and a sense of responsibility (SOR) have been shown to have a substantial impact on creating environmental attachment (EA) in both existing and potential customers of sustainable products. The findings of this study also revealed that environmental attachment (EA) plays an important role as a mediator in the links between green environmental awareness (GEA) and the consumption of sustainable goods (SPC), as well as between a sense of responsibility (SOR) and SPC. Despite this, it is crucial to note that the projected direct effect of GEA on SPC was shown to be statistically insignificant. This conclusion implies that additional factors outside the scope of this study may influence the relationship between GEA and SPC. Research limitations/implications: It is vital to highlight that the focus of this study is on an online sample of consumers near Punjab, Pakistan. Future studies should look at other parts of Pakistan to acquire a more complete picture of sustainable consumption trends. Furthermore, our findings suggest that characteristics impacting sustainable consumption, such as Green Environmental Awareness (GEA) and Sense of Responsibility (SOR), may differ among countries. As a result, performing a comparison analysis involving two or more countries could provide valuable insights into projecting sustainable product consumption among current and potential sustainable product customers. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by investigating the factors of sustainable consumption using the lens of the Norm Activation Model theory (NAM), notably Green Environmental Awareness (GEA) and Sense of Responsibility (SOR), to predict sustainable product consumption. The findings are important for promoting long-term goals in Pakistan and provide a framework that can be applied in other emerging markets.

Party Branch Embeddedness and Urban–Rural Environmental Inequality: Self-Regulation or Pollution Shelter?

With the deepening of environmental governance, the overall environmental quality of the region has been improved. However, internal environmental inequality, especially urban–rural environmental inequality, has continued to come to the fore. Nevertheless, there are still few studies on how to mitigate the increasing urban–rural environmental inequality. On the basis of examining the urban–rural environmental inequality in China’s environmental emission reduction investment dimension, this research verified the impact and mechanism of informal regulatory forces (grassroots party organizations) in alleviating urban–rural environmental inequality. In particular, based on an empirical analysis of data from the Chinese Private Enterprise Survey (CPES) 2006–2014, this study found that (1) investment in environmental management of polluting enterprises in rural areas is significantly lower than in urban areas, and the trend of urban–rural environmental inequality is intensifying; (2) urban–rural environmental inequality is more pronounced at the enterprise level in areas with larger enterprises and greater environmental enforcement and that urban-centered environmental regulatory policies continue to exacerbate urban–rural environmental inequality; and (3) the embeddedness of regional party organizations can narrow the gap between urban and rural environmental protection investment by private enterprises and alleviate urban–rural environmental inequality. The specific pathway is to improve rural enterprises’ social responsibility awareness and policy implementation. Based on the above findings, this paper argues that a gradual break with “urban-centered environmentalism” is the fundamental solution to urban–rural environmental inequality. However, in the current context of limited resources for formal environmental regulation, the power of informal environmental regulation can still mitigate these effects.
