PENGARUH REEDUKASI TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PERAWAT TERHADAP SISTEM PENILAIAN APACHE II

The highly dynamic and complex condition of the intensive care unit makes it difficult for nurses to provide the best possible care. The Acute Physiology Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) score system is a commonly used option in intensive care units. (ICU). The poor knowledge of nurses about APACHE II can be a predictor of mortality and the severity of the patient's condition. This research aims to find out the influence of reeducation on the knowledge and attitude of nurses toward the application o f the APACHE II assessment system in the RSUP ICU room, Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. The study involved 35 nurses at ICUs, of whom 57.1% were women. The research design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The re-education is done by lecture and the question-and-answer method using the APACHE app on the smartphone for 30 minutes. The knowledge and attitude of the nurse are measured using the instrument created by Chen et al. (2004). The results indicate that the majority of nurses at RSUP ICU, Dr. Soradjo Irtonegoro, are in DIV or S1 nursing (57.1%), working more than 3 months (91.4%). The average pre-reeducation knowledge score is 43.4, the average post- reeducation learning score is 58.5 (rating 0-100), and the results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p = 0.00. The average attitude score before reeducation is 64.7; after reeducation, it is 73.2, with a p -value of 0.00. Reeducation improves the knowledge and attitude of ICU nurses when applying APACHE II.

Assessment of knowledge and attitude among healthcare workers towards monkeypox disease: a cross-sectional study from Saudi Arabia

Background. Monkeypox has been announced recently as a global public health emergency by the World Health Organization. The recent outbreak of monkeypox has brought back concerns about how this viral infection can spread easily between individuals and cause a major health concern. Objectives. The objective of this study was to assess healthcare workers’ (HCWs) knowledge about monkeypox illness, its transmission, prevention, and attitudes toward this re-emerging disease. Materials and Methods. A descriptive correlational cross-sectional survey was conducted in Saudi Arabia from June to August 2022 and targeted HCWs including medical technologists and technicians, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and others. Results. A total of 385 participants were included where 53.5% of respondents were male compared to 46.5% female. The average score for knowledge was 9.90, and the majority of respondents had an inadequate understanding of monkeypox. In addition, the average score of attitude toward monkeypox infection was 50.19, which indicate that HCWs have a positive view of efforts to prevent monkeypox. Conclusions. In Saudi Arabia, HCWs were found to have an inadequate understanding of the virus that causes monkeypox. This study shows how important it is for HCWs to learn more, since managing contagious infections requires a lot of help from trained and knowledgeable medical professionals.

Knowledge, attitude, and practice of patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis regarding hemodialysis and its complications: a single-center, cross-sectional study in Nanjing

BackgroundGood knowledge of and attitudes toward hemodialysis and its complications might be expected to promote good practices and improve adherence. This study investigated, the knowledge, attitude, and practice of patients receiving hemodialysis regarding hemodialysis and its complications.MethodsThis cross-sectional study enrolled patients with uremia who were receiving hemodialysis at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University (China) between January 9, 2023, and January 16, 2023. A questionnaire was designed that included the following dimensions: demographic/clinical information, knowledge, attitude, and practice. Correlations between knowledge, attitude, and practice scores were evaluated by Pearson correlation analysis.ResultsThe analysis included 493 patients (305 males, 61.87%). The average knowledge, attitude, and practice score was 19.33 ± 7.07 (possible range, 0–31), 28.77 ± 3.58 (possible range, 8–40), and 43.57 ± 6.53 (possible range, 11–55) points, respectively. A higher knowledge score was associated with younger age (P < 0.001), a higher education level (P < 0.001), and not living alone (P < 0.001), while a higher practice score was associated with a shorter history of hemodialysis (P < 0.001). There were positive correlations between the knowledge and practice scores (r = 0.220, P < 0.001) and between the attitude and practice scores (r = 0.453, P < 0.001), although the knowledge and attitude scores were not significantly correlated.ConclusionsThe results provide important insights into the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of patients with uremia in Nanjing (China) regarding hemodialysis and its complications. These findings may facilitate education programs to improve self-care practices in patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis in Nanjing (China).

Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Regarding Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Self-monitoring of blood glucose levels and changes in diet and lifestyle play important roles in the management of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). This cross-sectional study enrolled patients with GDM at Hangzhou Women's Hospital, China, between September 1, 2022, and October 26, 2022. A questionnaire was designed that included the following dimensions: demographic/clinical information, knowledge, attitude and practice. Correlations between knowledge, attitude and practice scores were evaluated using Spearman correlation analysis. Factors associated with practice score ≥14/16 were identified using multivariate logistic regression. The analysis included 499 women with GDM and a mean age of 31.22±3.89 years. The average knowledge, attitude and practice score were 11.55±3.04, 34.23±4.06 and 10.7±2.87 points, respectively. Knowledge score was positively correlated with attitude score (r=0.318, P<0.001) and practice score (r=0.351, P<0.001); attitude and practice scores were also positively correlated (r=0.209, P<0.001). Multivariate analysis identified higher knowledge score (odds ratio [OR], 1.138; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 1.042-1.244; P=0.004) and higher attitude score (OR, 1.137; 95% CI, 1.060-1.219; P<0.001) as independently associated with good practice (ie, practice score ≥14 points). The results provide important insights into the knowledge, attitudes and practices of women with GDM in China regarding GDM and its management. These findings may facilitate the development and implementation of education and training programs to improve the self-management of GDM by women in China.

Knowledge, attitude, and sources of information towards burn first aid among people referred to a burn centre in the north of Iran.

Optimal management of burns begins with first aid from the first hours of injury. Adequate knowledge of how to perform first aid for burns can reduce the consequences of injury. Therefore, this study aims to determine the knowledge, attitude, and sources of information assessment towards burn First aid among people referred to a burn centre in the north of Iran. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted to assess knowledge, attitude, and sources of information towards burn first aid among people referred to a burn centre in the north of Iran in 2023. In this survey, a convenience sampling method was adopted. The variables consisted of four items on socio-demographic information, 15 items on knowledge, ten items on attitude, and one item on sources of information related to burn First aid. A total of 371 individuals responded to the survey. The mean age of participants was 31.90 ± 8.49 years old. The mean score of the total knowledge of the participants in the research was 6.04 ± 3.05. There was a statistically significant relationship between the variables of age, sex, marital status, place of residence, level of education, and history of receiving first aid training with the participants' knowledge level. The average score of the total attitude of the participants was 44.08 ± 3.88. Out of 371 participants, 214 people (57.7%) had an average attitude, and 157 people (42.3%) had a good attitude towards burn first aid. There was a statistically significant relationship between place of residence, level of education, and history of receiving first aid training with the participants' attitudes in the research. In addition, the level of knowledge had a statistically significant relationship with the participants' attitude level in the research (p-value <0.001). The majority of participants have limited knowledge of burn first aid. This lack of knowledge could lead to severe consequences. Therefore, healthcare organizations should review and promote consistent guidelines for burn first aid to tackle and minimize the effect of this grave injury.

Knowledge and attitudes of community pharmacists regarding dementia: A nationwide cross-sectional study in Vietnam.

To investigate Vietnamese community pharmacists' knowledge and attitudes towards dementia. 1066 community pharmacists in eight provinces/centrally-governed cities were recruited using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. Their dementia knowledge was measured using a set of 14 questions developed through a literature review. The Approaches to Dementia Questionnaire was used to assess pharmacists' attitudes towards dementia. Cronbach's alpha was 0.88 for the overall questionnaire (0.70 for the knowledge part and 0.81 for the attitude part). Participants were mostly female (74.2%), 20-39years old (79.1%), and had work experience in pharmacies of less than 10 years (77.0%). Medicines for dementia were available in only 40 community pharmacies (3.8%), including galantamine (3.0%) and donepezil (0.8%). Pharmacists' average knowledge and attitude scores were 8.03±2.61 and 64.81±7.34, respectively. There were considerable differences in pharmacists' knowledge and attitudes between rural and urban areas and among eight provinces (p<0.001). Higher knowledge and attitude scores were found among those with higher education levels and longer work experience (p<0.001). Using reliable sources to seek information on dementia, such as books and scientific articles, also helped pharmacists to have better knowledge and more positive attitudes (p<0.001). There was a positive relationship between knowledge and attitude scores (r=0.326, p<0.001). Community pharmacists demonstrated moderate levels of knowledge and attitudes towards dementia. Their knowledge about the symptoms of dementia was inadequate. Educational interventions and training programs are urgently needed to enhance their dementia knowledge and attitudes.

First-year nursing students’ attitudes towards artificial intelligence: Cross-sectional multi-center study

AimTo assess the attitudes of nursing students toward artificial intelligence. BackgroundPossible applications of artificial intelligence-powered systems in nursing cover all aspects of nursing care, from patient care to risk management. Although the final acceptance of artificial intelligence in practice will depend on positive 'nurses' attitudes toward artificial intelligence, those attitudes have gained little attention so far. DesignA cross-sectional multicenter study. MethodsThe study was performed at nursing schools of four Croatian universities, surveying a total of 336 first-year nursing students (response rate 69.7%) enrolled in 2021. A validated instrument, the General Attitudes towards Artificial Intelligence Scale, consisting of 20 Likert-type items, was chosen for the study. Where applicable, the items were contextualized for nursing. Four sub-scales were identified based on the outcomes of the factor analysis. ResultsThe average attitude score was (mean ± standard deviation) 64.5 ± 11.7, out of a maximum of 100, which was significantly higher than the neutral score of 60.0 (p < 0.001). The attitude towards AI did not differ across the universities and was not associated with students’ age. Male students scored slightly higher than their female colleagues. Scores on subscales “Benefits of artificial intelligence in nursing”, “Willingness to use artificial intelligence in nursing practice”, and “Dangers of artificial intelligence” were favorable of artificial intelligence-based solutions. However, scores on the subscale “Practical advantages of artificial intelligence” were somewhat unfavorable. ConclusionsFirst-year nursing students had slightly positive attitudes towards artificial intelligence in nursing, which should make it easier for the new generations of nurses to embrace and implement artificial intelligence systems. Reservations about artificial intelligence in daily nursing practice indicate that nursing students might benefit from education focused specifically on applications of artificial intelligence in nursing.

Influence of Educational Videos on Knowledge and Attitude on Reproduktive Health in Adolescent

Aims: Reproductive health education is essential to improve knowledge and attitude to grow up and live healthily. Audiovisual media as teaching method is considered as effective way to deliver message and material for health topic in teenager. It was reported that 10-14 years-old adolescent in Jakarta has reached 874,865 people in 2020. High populated of adolescent increased higher-risk sexual behavior. Sexual and reproductive education aims to increase knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the organs and also improve attitude to avoid high-risk sex behavior. Objective: We aim to observe the effect of educational videos on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about reproductive health. Method: Quasi-experimental research with pre and post-test without control group. Research sample was 100 students of 231 Junior School Jakarta using systematic random sampling. Intervention was educational videos about healthy sex behavior. Result: We found significantly increased average knowledge (15,91 vs 23,24, p= 0,0001) and attitude (34,12 vs 43,26, p= 0,0001) score after the intervention. Conclusion: There was an significant diffrence of adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about reproductive health after educational video interventions. School and teacher play an active role in reproductive health counseling activities for adolescents with the right media.

Ekstrapolasi Keterampilan Ilmiah Melalui Penerapan Pembelajaran Projek Berbasis Presentasi Pada Calon Guru Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Di Masa Pandemic Covid-19

The purpose of this research is to explore the scientific attitudes and scientific skills of Natural Sciences teacher candidates by implementing presentation-based project learning. The number of research samples was 98 prospective teachers for the 2022/2023 academic year in the Science Education Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. The research method applied is quasi-pre-experimental method. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis found that: 1) 100 percent of science teacher candidates were active in participating in presentation-based project learning during the Covid-19 pandemic; 2) the responses of prospective science teachers to the implementation of project-based learning were very positive, 3) the average score of scientific attitudes was 49.49 which was included in the high category, 4) the average score of scientific skills was 91.54 which was included in the high category. The conclusion of presentation-based project learning can develop the scientific attitude of science teacher candidates. Recommendations: 1) presentation-based project learning can be applied in developing scientific attitudes and scientific skills, 2) presentation-based project learning can activate practicum activities during (online) during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Role of Awareness, Attitude and Performance of Students of Yazd City in Acceptance of COVID-19 vaccine in 1400

Introduction: Preventive behaviors are among the most important strategies to fight against COVID-19. The level of awareness, attitude and performance of people towards COVID-19 is of great importance in accepting or doubting to receive the vaccine. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the role of awareness, attitude and performance of COVID-19 regarding the acceptance of the vaccine among university students in Yazd.&#x0D; Methods: This was a cross-sectional and descriptive-analytical study based on the web. The studied population included university students in Yazd city. 392 students were selected by available sampling method. The questionnaires were completed online. To collect data, a standard questionnaire of awareness, attitude, performance, and acceptance of the vaccine was used. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis through SPSS 20 software.&#x0D; Results: The results showed that the level of awareness, attitude and performance of female students was significantly higher than male students (p&lt;0/05). The vaccine's acceptance level had no significant relationship with demographic characteristics. Also, the average score of awareness, attitude and performance of students who accepted the vaccine was higher than the students who did not believe in the vaccine; but, this result was not statistically significant (p&lt;0/05).&#x0D; Conclusion: Considering the important role of people's awareness, attitude and performance towards COVID-19 in disease prevention, it seems that other factors such as the benefits and risks of the vaccine and the level of people's trust in the government and their country had an effect on the acceptance of the vaccine.

Healthcare professionals’ attitude towards and experience with effective leadership: How much progress have we made?

ABSTRACT Background: Leadership is an essential element in creating an effective healthcare system that aims to enhance staff satisfaction, improve the productivity and efficiency of teams, minimize conflicts, and develop an organizational culture committed to quality. Objectives: To investigate the experience of and attitudes about the impact of effective leadership on healthcare organizations among healthcare providers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Methods and Materials: This cross-sectional study was conducted among licensed UAE healthcare professionals. A web-based self-administered questionnaire was sent to the email addresses of the potential respondents. Results: A total of 438 healthcare professionals enrolled in the study. The average age of the participant was 31 ± 6.1 SD. The average attitude score about the impact of effective leadership on healthcare organizations was 76.1%, with a 95% confidence interval (CI) of [74.6%, 77.6%]. The statistical modeling results revealed that gender, major, and university of graduation were jointly highly associated with attitudes about the impact of effective leadership on healthcare organizations. Conclusions: There is a need for a more thorough investigation into which leadership behaviors and competencies are crucial in healthcare contexts, allowing for more targeted training and interventions. Further, longitudinal research is necessary to determine whether leadership development programs have a sustained effect on care quality and patient outcomes.

The effect of counseling on parent’s knowledge and attitudes towards stunting in toddlers: A quasi-experimental study

Stunting is a condition where toddlers are too short for their age. One of the preventions is by giving health education about stunting to the parents. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of counselling on parents' knowledge and attitudes towards stunting at Lhoknga Health Center, Aceh Besar. The study was conducted from November 7 to 23, 2022. This type of study was quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-test-post-test pre-experimental design. The participants were parents who were the main caregivers of toddlers in Lhoknga Health Center area, Aceh Besar. A total of 105 respondents were recruited for this study. In regards to knowledge about stunting, pre-counseling test showed that most respondents (71.5%) had sufficient knowledge while post-test showed that all respondents (100%) had good knowledge. Meanwhile, 92.4% respondents had good attitude towards stunting prior to the counseling, and increased to 100% after the education session. The Wilcoxon test showed an increased in the average knowledge score, from 12.83 during pre-test to 18.67 on post-test. An increased in the average attitude score was also found, from 72.05 to 92.77. Statistical analysis showed that there was an effect of counseling on increasing parents’ knowledge (p0.001) and attitudes (p0.001) towards stunting. It can be concluded that counseling can increase parent's knowledge and attitudes towards stunting.

Evaluation of Yazd Dentist’s Knowledge, Attitude and Performance of Aesthetic Management of Anterior Composite Restorations in 2020

Introduction: Nowadays, due to the rapid development of new resin restorative materials and extensive media advertising concerning the importance and impact of a beautiful smile, there is an increased demand for the restoration of anterior teeth; thus, the beauty of smile is rendered as a major concern for patients and dentists.&#x0D; Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 165 general dentists in Yazd City, Iran were selected by random sampling. Of these, 158 dentists completed the study questionnaire, including 5 demographic items and 38 more items in three parts: knowledge, attitude and performance. Gleaned data were analyzed with SPSS 16 using T-test, one-way ANOVA, descriptive statistics (frequency/percentage).&#x0D; Results: In this study, 39.9% of dentists were male and 60.1% were female. There was no statistically significant correlation between the scores of attitude and knowledge with gender, age, history of activity, and the university of dentists' study (P&gt;0.05). Yet, a statistically significant correlation was observed between the average attitude scores of dentists who participated in training courses and the dentists who did not participate in training courses (P&lt;0.05).&#x0D; Conclusion: Based on the results of the present study, dentists had average knowledge and poor attitude regarding the aesthetic management of anterior composite restorations. However, participation in courses and workshops on aesthetic management of anterior composite restorations had a great impact on dentists' attitudes. Moreover, most dentists were not satisfied with the Dental School's training regarding anterior composite restorations.

Pendampingan Kader Posyandu Dalam Pemantauan Tumbung Kembang BATITA

One of the government's efforts in terms of empowering the community to reduceinfant and under-five mortality rates, and improve health status in the communityis to optimize the role of cadres in society. Thus, it is necessary to have activitiesthat can increase the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of cadres in monitoringinfant growth, especially in filling out the Towards Healthy Card (KMS) chart. Thepurpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge, attitudes,and actions of cadres in completing the KMS chart for early detection ofmalnutrition and stunting. The target of this community service activity is posyanducadres in the Working Area of the Sumurgung Health Center, Palang District,Tuban Regency. The service method is carried out in several stages (1) pre-testbefore mentoring; (2) presentation of material on anthropometric measurementsand filling in KMS charts; (3) training and practice of anthropometricmeasurements and filling out charts; and (4) post-test after mentoring. This activityresulted in an increase in the average score of knowledge, attitudes, and actions ofcadres after being given assistance to cadres

Edukasi Media Video dan Booklet terhadap Motivasi dan Sikap Orangtua dalam Merawat Balita dengan Gastroenteritis

This study aims to determine the effect of providing education using video media and booklets on the motivation and attitudes of parents in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a non-pretest-posttest design. The study's results found a difference in the average score of parents' motivation and attitudes in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis before and after providing education. In the video media group ρ motivational value (0.01) and perspective (0.00), in the booklet media group with ρ motivational value (0.02) and attitude (0.00), and the video media and booklet combination group with ρ motivational value (0.00) and perspective (0.00). In conclusion, there is a significant effect of the use of educational media on increasing the average score of parents' motivation and attitudes in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis. The combination of education using video media and booklets gave more effective results than other educational groups.&#x0D; Keywords: Booklet, Video Media, Motivation, Health Education, Attitude

Do Knowledge, Attitudes, and Barrier Perception Affect the Prevention and Control of Healthcare-Associated Infections? A Structural Equation Modelling Approach.

Healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs) have become a global public health problem, resulting in high mortality, serious morbidity, and heavy healthcare costs. Infection prevention and control (IPC) is a significant priority for healthcare workers (HCWs) to eliminate HCAIs. However, barriers exist in the IPC implementation in daily clinical work. This study aimed to explore the relationship between HCWs' knowledge, attitudes, barrier perception, as well as their effects on IPC practice. A structured questionnaire survey was conducted among HCWs who were responsible for IPC in a large tertiary hospital in China. Cronbach's alpha, average variance extracted (AVE), composite reliability (CR), as well as confirmatory factor analyses (CFA) were performed for reliability and validity. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was applied to establish the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, barrier perception and IPC practice. A Multiple Indicators Multiple Causes (MIMIC) model was conducted to detect the effects of covariates on factor structure. In total, 232 valid questionnaires were eventually collected. The average score of knowledge, attitudes, barrier perception and IPC practice were 2.95±0.75, 4.06±0.70, 3.14±0.86, and 4.38±0.45, respectively. The instrument demonstrated good reliability and validity. The SEM results showed that knowledge was positively associated with attitudes (β=0.151, p=0.039), and attitudes had positive effects on IPC practice (β=0.204, p=0.001), whereas barrier perception was negatively associated with attitudes and IPC practice (β=-0.234, p<0.001; β=-0.288, p<0.001, respectively). Additionally, time proportion spent on IPC was significantly associated with attitudes and practice (β=0.180, p=0.015; β=0.287, p<0.001, respectively), and training on HCAIs was a predicator for barrier perception and practice (β=0.192, p=0.039; β=-0.169, p=0.038, respectively). IPC practice was indirectly affected by knowledge through the mediation of attitudes, whereas barrier perception had a negative impact. Designing deficiency-based training programs, developing sustained IPC habits, and strengthening management support are recommended to optimize IPC practice.

PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN TEMPAT TINGGAL DAN SIKAP SISWA TEHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS X IPA SMA SUNGGUMINASA GOWA

This study aims to determine the effect of the living environment and students' attitudes towards mathematics learning outcomes of SMA Sungguminasa Gowa students. The type of research "Ex-Post Facto" is correlational with a sample of 30 students from class X IPA 2 SMA Sungguminasa Gowa who were selected using simple random sampling. The problem being investigated is the effect of the environment where students live and attitudes towards mathematics learning outcomes of SMA Sungguminasa Gowa students. Data collection techniques using instruments: (1) Questionnaire of the environment where students live and attitudes, (2) Mathematics learning outcomes test. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis show (1) The average score of the mathematics learning outcomes of class X IPA 2 SMA Sungguminasa Gowa for the academic year 2022/2023 is 82.800 from an ideal score of 100 with a standard deviation of 12.505. (2) The average score of the neighborhood is 46.767 out of an ideal score of 65 with a standard deviation of 7.601. (3) The average score of student attitudes is 50.933 from the ideal score of 70 with a standard deviation of 8.718. The results of inferential statistical analysis show (1) the living environment has a positive and significant effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X IPA 2 SMA Sungguminasa Gowa with tcount=2.201&gt;ttable=2.052. (2) Student attitudes have a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes (Y) of class X IPA 2 SMA Sungguminasa Gowa with tcount=3.208&gt; ttable=2.052. (3) The living environment and students' attitudes together have a positive and significant effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X IPA 2 SMA Sungguminasa Gowa with Fcount=63.710&gt;Ftable=3.340 with an R2 contribution of 82.5%.

Knowledge, attitude and practice of caregiver of the elderly with Alzheimer's regarding this disease in Yazd city, 1400

Introduction: Along with the increase in the elderly population, caring for the elderly with Alzheimer's disease has become a challenge in the field of their health and well-being. Also, the need for caregivers is increasing due to the lengthening of the care period. Considering that the nurses of Alzheimer's patients play the main role in providing services to the elderly, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the state of knowledge, attitude and practice of the caregiver of elderly Alzheimer's patients in Yazd city.&#x0D; Methods: This study was descriptive. The sample size was 60 caregiver of elderly people with Alzheimer's disease in Yazd city. The sampling method in this study was based on the vailability of statistical research and consulting facilities. The data collection tool in this study was a four-part questionnaire (demographic, knowledge, attitude and practice) that was used in a similar study. Data were analyzed with spss24 software and using descriptive statistics as well as t-test and Anova.&#x0D; Results: The average age score of nurses was 62.73 ± 11.78. The average score of knowledge, attitude and practice of elderly caregiver were 21.58 ± 1.87, 35.65 ± 2.84 and 12.57 ± 1.28, respectively. The data showed that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge score and family ratio and previous experience of care. Also, there is a significant relationship between attitude score and previous care experience (P≤0.05).&#x0D; Conclusion: Considering the importance of caregivers' knowledge of the phenomenon of aging and Alzheimer's disease, it is suggested to provide appropriate training to improve the knowledge and change the attitude of caregivers of the elderly in order to improve the quality and provide better and more suitable services for the elderly.

Investigating of knowledge, attitude and performance of the people of Lorestan province regarding the follow of personal and environmental hygiene to prevent of covid-19

Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic has confronted nations with various challenges, including health challenges. Therefore, the present study conducted with the aim of investigating the knowledge, attitude and performance of the people of Lorestan province regarding the follow of personal and environmental hygiene to prevent of Covid-19.&#x0D; Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 337 people of Lorestan province conducted by random sampling method in 2022. The data collection tool was the knowledge, attitude and performance questionnaire designed by the researchers that validity and reliability confirmed. Data analyzed using SPSS19 software and T-Test, ANOVA and Pearson tests.&#x0D; Results: 59.9 of female participants with an average age of 29.20±8.16 years and the average age of males was 32.75±8.81years. The average knowledge, attitude and performance score was1.54±.29, 3.16±.47 and 4.19±.96 prospectively. Pearson's test showed that there was statistically significant relationship between knowledge, attitude and performance.&#x0D; Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, the scores of knowledge, attitude and performance were above the average, therefore, in order to prevent and control the disease of Covid-19, more training is needed to improve knowledge and attitude continuously.

A Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study on the Attitudes Towards Patient Safety and Influencing Factors of Nurses in Infectious Diseases Wards.

Patient safety is an important aspect of healthcare delivery and is critical to healthcare quality. An assessment of the attitudes of nursing staff in infectious diseases wards towards patient safety may identify deficiencies and allow for the development of educational programmes to train nursing staff to participate in good patient safety practices. To explore the current situation and influencing factors on nurses' attitudes towards patient safety in infectious diseases wards. This cross-sectional study enrolled 446 nurses from infectious diseases wards in eight hospitals in the Hebei Province to participate in an electronic questionnaire survey from October to December 2020. The Chinese version of the safety attitude questionnaire was used to gather the opinions of these participants, and SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used to analyse the data. The average score of safety attitudes towards patients was 3.59 ± 0.30. The scores for each dimension, from high to low, were as follows: management perception: 3.77 ± 0.42 points, pressure perception: 3.77 ± 0.42 points, safety atmosphere: 3.57 ± 0.43 points, job satisfaction: 3.57 ± 0.43 points, teamwork: 3.55 ± 0.50 points and working conditions: 3.50 ± 0.45 points. The results of the multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the influential factors on nurses' attitudes towards patient safety in infectious diseases wards were as follows: night shift working (β = 11.885, P = 0.000), years of nursing experience (β = 2.862, P = 0.001), education level (β = 4.462, P = 0.001) and marital status (β = 3.871, P = 1.002), which together explained 33.5% of the total variance. Nurses' attitudes towards patient safety in infectious diseases wards were moderately high. Night shift work, years of nursing experience, education level and marital status affected nurses' attitudes towards patient safety. Managers should focus on these groups of nurses and improve their working conditions and job satisfaction to further enhance patient safety.
