Student Perception of OBE-Based Learning Process: A Phenomenological Study on Master of Arabic Language Education Students

This research aims to fill the gap with a focus on Perception, learning process, challenges faced by students and solutions in the OBE-based learning process. This study uses a phenomenological approach. Data collection through interviews and observations. The analysis of data obtained from interviews and observations will be analyzed using thematic analysis. This process includes transcribing interviews, encoding data, and identifying themes that emerge from the student experience. The results of the study on students' perception of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based learning process in the Master of Arabic Language Education program, it can be concluded that:1. Positive Effects on OBE, 2. The Importance of Direct Practice,3. Interaction and Feedback. 4. The Need for a More Personal Approach,5. Availability of Learning Resources. Overall, OBE provides a positive learning experience for students, but it also needs to be balanced with adjustments in teaching methods and more personalized support to overcome existing challenges.

Digital Literacy in a Global Context: Constructing Models for International Chinese Teachers across Regions and Countries

The research aims to determine the factors that facilitate teaching efficiency for Chinese teachers hired abroad. It is a quantitative study that covers digital skill, cultural and linguistic compatibility, technology policy, integration of technology into the curriculum, training and professional development. However, the current research on these aspects is inadequate in giving a broad understanding of the interaction of the above factors, especially for Chinese educators working in foreign countries. This research seeks to uncover the correlations between these factors and provide recommendations for sound instruction. An e-survey was administered to 350 educational specialists from China, and the data was analyzed through Smart PLS version 3.0 software and structural equation modeling (SEM). Findings indicate that teachers’ digital literacy capability predicts technology use in their instruction. The linguistic and cultural dynamism is therefore useful in developing a preparatory setting for technology that is essential in curriculum implementation. In addition, it was ascertained that continuing education also mediates the incorporation of technology and teachers’ efficiency. The results stress the need to focus on automation, infrastructure, and professional development for effective integrated tech-based learning. Conferences, seminars, availability of learning resources as well as training and mentorship are essential to ensuring efficacy in teaching and preparing for a variety of contexts in education.

The Effect of Teacher Skills and Availability of Learning Resources on Mathematics Problem Solving Skills at High Schools in West Java

This study investigates the influence of teacher ability and the availability of learning resources on mathematics problem-solving ability among high school students in West Java, Indonesia. Quantitative analysis was employed, utilizing survey questionnaires to gather data from a sample of 160 high school students. The study found significant positive relationships between teacher ability, learning resource availability, and mathematics problem-solving ability. Specifically, high-quality teaching and adequate provision of learning resources emerged as crucial factors contributing to students' problem-solving skills. The findings underscore the importance of investing in teacher training, professional development, and resource provisioning to enhance mathematics education outcomes in West Java.

The influence of the fourth industrial revolution in teaching and learning: the COVID-19 context

Background The aim of this paper was to explore how the Fourth Industrial Revolution shapes teaching and learning during COVID-19 in some of the schools located in the Gauteng and Mpumalanga provinces, South Africa. This paper employed qualitative interpretative multiple case study design. Purposive sampling was used to sample our participants. Methods We selected four teachers who separately taught at the early childhood development stage, intermediate phase, senior phase, and further education and training phases. Data was collected telephonically through semi-structured interviews with teachers from Limpopo, Gauteng and Mpumalanga provinces of South Africa. Data was collected from their experiences of COVID-19 from 2019 to 2021. Collected data was analysed using a typology approach whereby themes that derived from the literature reviewed and research questions were used. Results We inferred from the results of the paper that teachers had challenges with teaching and availability of learning resources, such as limited access to internet and socio-economic backgrounds, which hindered the integration of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the teaching and learning process. There were also challenges related to teachers’ background on the usage of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the lack of school management teams support. The paper revealed that the integration of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in teaching and learning was affected negatively by the existence of the above-mentioned challenges, which needs to be addressed. Conclusions Therefore, we recommended that the government and stakeholders within the education sector provide resources such as smart-boards, computers, and network access in schools lacking such facilities, as well as providing professional development interventions and training teachers to have an in-depth understanding of the Fourth Industrial Revolution within the teaching and learning context.

Analisis Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Rendahnya Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar 106811 Bandar Setia

Student learning motivation is an important component in the educational process that influences student success, especially in Indonesian language subjects in elementary schools. This research aims to analyze the factors that cause students' low learning motivation towards Indonesian language subjects. This research uses a qualitative approach using interviews and observations in class V of SD Negeri 106811 Bandar Setia. The research results show several factors that influence students' low learning motivation, such as personal interest, perception of subjects, teaching methods, learning environment and availability of learning resources. This research provides practical recommendations for educators and stakeholders to increase student learning motivation in Indonesian language subjects in elementary schools.

Cross-National Analysis of Differences in Student Reading Performance: Taking PISA 2022 as an Example

This comparative study delves into the variations in student reading proficiency across nations as evidenced by the PISA 2022 data. Through the analysis of datasets from diverse countries, the study seeks to uncover patterns and discrepancies in reading performance. Key factors such as the education system, family background, and availability of learning resources are meticulously compared to ascertain their influence on reading proficiency. The study's findings reveal that disparities in reading abilities among students stem from a multitude of factors, rather than a singular cause. As a result, this study advocates for the implementation of interventions to address these disparities and ultimately enhance the reading proficiency of students globally. Firstly, policymakers should strive to create a more equitable environment for students' reading performance. Concurrently, resources must be allocated to bolster teacher training programs, thereby enhancing teaching standards and proficiency. Additionally, families need to enhance their involvement and support for children's reading progress. Finally, schools and teachers should employ more comprehensive assessment methods for students' reading achievements.

User and service provider assessment of technology readiness of library commons in selected universities in Ghana

PurposeThis study assessed the technology readiness of library commons in selected universities in Ghana from the perspectives of both clients and service providers.Design/methodology/approachA sample survey research design was used to carry out the study, and the study consisted of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The data were collected from 157 of the 430 commons’ users and six library directors/commons librarians, using a questionnaire and an interview schedule respectively. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis with SPSS Ver. 22, and structural equation modelling with AMOS Ver. 23.FindingsThe study found significant relationships between the availability of learning resources and users' experience, use and satisfaction with the commons. Additionally, there were significant relationships between the readiness of the commons, users' perceptions and their satisfaction levels. The library/commons managers identified key preparedness issues, including inadequate planning and poor space allocation. Furthermore, the study revealed negative feelings among library/commons managers, such as insecurity, resistance and low confidence.Practical implicationsThe academic libraries in Ghana should evaluate their commons following the findings of this study, and use other readiness implementation tools to identify and address the gaps in their implementation of the commons.Originality/valueThis study was based on the opinions of the users and operators of the commons and focused primarily on technology-related factors. However, it is essential to evaluate other readiness factors, such as change and services, and institutional factors, using frameworks such as Hess and Ostrom’s (2005) Institutional Development Framework, to provide complementary results that can guide better implementation of the commons and improve the quality of services.

Analisis Faktor-Faktor Keterlambatan Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir Di Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP ULM Dalam Menyelesaikan Skripsi

This research aims to determine the factors inhibiting the completion of a thesis in the FKIP ULM economics education study program in the 2016-2019 class. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive quantitative research, using a questionnaire which will be distributed using a Likert Scale with a sample size of 92 participants. With the validity research instrument test used in this research, the validity test itself uses the Product Moment (Pearson) correlation statistical calculation formula. And testing the reliability test was measured using the Cronbach'Alpha method. The data analysis technique used was Descriptive Analysis. Based on research that has been carried out, it is stated that the factors of delay in completing the thesis affect the graduation rate of FKIP ULM economic education students. is in the very high category with a percentage of 97.9%. The factors that cause delays in completing a student's thesis are internal factors and external factors consisting of internal factors, namely motivation, intelligence, health, attitudes and study habits, psychology. External factors consist of family factors, availability of learning resources, peer environment, lecturers, and other factors.

ВПРОВАДЖЕННЯ ТЕХНОЛОГІЇ МІКРОНАВЧАННЯ СТУДЕНТІВ-ЕКОНОМІСТІВ ЗА ДОПОМОГОЮ ОНЛАЙН-КУРСІВ

After the outbreak of the pandemic in 2019 and the outbreak of war in the country in 2022, educational institutions at different levels of Ukraine switched to a mixed format of the educational process and were forced to look for modern approaches and technologies for organizing the education of students. This study examines the implementation of microlearning technology using online courses developed on the Moodle platform. Microlearning is a modern learning technology that involves short, intensive training modules focused on the development of specific theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Available online courses, which provide the ability to create and deliver different types of educational content, focus mainly on the formation of necessary knowledge and skills of students, but do not take into account their individual needs and interests in the learning process, and pay little attention to their satisfaction with education in modern conditions. This article investigates the impact of microlearning technology using online courses on students' satisfaction with learning. To determine the level of student satisfaction, an online survey was conducted among 61 students enrolled in the specialty 051 "Economics" programs, which include Business Economics, International Economics, Economic Cybernetics, and Digital Economy, at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. All these students were studying using microlearning technology with the use of online courses. As a result, that the level of student satisfaction with learning using this technology is most influenced by such factors as the availability of learning resources, consideration of individual abilities and needs in the online course, opportunities for interaction and communication with the teacher, as well as the format of learning materials and acquired knowledge. Accordingly, these factors should be taken into account when developing online courses and implementing microlearning technologies in the educational process.

Profile of Celestial Object Identification Skills of Junior High School Students in Indonesia

The ability to identify celestial objects provides significant benefits for improving students' motivation, understanding of the subject matter, reasoning, and skills, yet this area remains underexplored by researchers. This study aims to describe the profile of junior high school students' ability to identify celestial objects in science learning, particularly in the Solar System topic, focusing on their experiences in recognizing the names of celestial objects at night. Using a qualitative approach, this research involved semi-structured interviews with three science teachers and a survey of 31 7th-grade students who had not been taught the Solar System topic. The research instruments included student characteristics, availability of learning resources, challenges faced by students, teaching methods, and responses to the idea of outdoor learning with the assistance of an Augmented Reality (AR) application. The results indicate that, generally, students are not yet able to identify celestial objects other than the Moon due to limited prior experience and knowledge. Although teachers have attempted to introduce identification methods through instructional videos and direct explanations, this method is considered less accurate due to discrepancies between classroom learning and field experiences. However, both teachers and students recognize that identifying celestial objects can enrich understanding of the subject matter, increase motivation, and stimulate gratitude for God's creation. The positive response to the idea of outdoor learning with an AR application indicates high interest from both teachers and students in this approach.

ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN SAINTIFIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN BERFIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI PKPPS MINHAJURROSYIDIN JAKARTA

This research examines the analysis of the implementation of the scientific learning approach in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at PKPPS Minhajurroosyidiin Jakarta with the aim of enhancing students' critical thinking. The study utilizes a qualitative method, focusing on a series of stages in scientific learning, including planning, design, observation activities, questioning, experiments, data analysis, presentation of results, and learning evaluation. The research findings indicate that this approach successfully increases student engagement, enriches the learning process, and develops critical and creative thinking skills in understanding the teachings of PAI. The effectiveness of the scientific learning approach is evident in several key aspects, such as placing students as active subjects in the learning process, fostering the development of critical thinking skills, increasing student engagement, achieving in-depth learning outcomes, and receiving positive responses from both students and teachers. Factors influencing the implementation of this approach include teacher readiness, the availability of learning resources, school leadership support, student participation, curriculum and evaluation alignment, school culture, as well as understanding and implementation of Islamic values. The synergy among these factors is crucial for the successful implementation of the scientific approach and the enhancement of students' critical thinking in the context of the PAI subject. This research contributes to understanding the practical application of the scientific learning approach in the PAI subject and its impact on improving students' critical thinking. The holistic implementation of this approach requires teacher readiness, school support, student involvement, and a deep understanding of Islamic values. The research results are expected to serve as a foundation for developing more effective learning strategies oriented towards the development of critical thinking skills in students within the context of Islamic education.

Analysis of Learning Resources and Media on Achieving Social Studies Learning Goals in Elementary Schools

The background of research is that existing learning resources and media have not been utilized optimally as seen from the use of learning resources that only focus on textbooks, lack of interaction and social attitudes in the learning process, lack of utilization of learning media, and students not focusing on participating in learning which causes social studies learning outcomes low. This study aims to describe the availability, utilization, school support and teacher constraints in using learning resources and media towards achieving social studies learning objectives at UPT Elementary Schools. Research using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The samples are school principals, high-grade social studies teachers and 6 students from each class. The results of the study show that the availability of learning resources and media is quite good and teachers can make good use of learning resources and media in the social studies learning process. There are obstacles to the use of learning resources and media in achieving social studies learning objectives in elementary schools such as requiring more time and a lack of reading books which make social studies learning objectives not optimally achieved, besides that school support from resource facilities and learning media is quite good. In conclusion, the availability and utilization of learning resources and media as well as school support for achieving social studies learning objectives is quite good and the obstacles encountered can be overcome properly in elementary schools

Classroom well-being through virtual learning environments in higher education from 2021 to 2023

The present research deals with the conditions associated with well-being in the classroom through virtual environments of the student population that attends lessons at a private university located in the Central Headquarters in San José, Costa Rica (Central America). The objective is to analyse the conditions associated with well-being in the classroom through virtual learning environments during the years 2021 to 2023. The research uses a quantitative approach, and the type of study is descriptive and cross- sectional. The study was conducted with 731 active students during the period from 2021 to 2023 who used virtual environments to continue their studies. The sample corresponds to 46.5% of the total population (1570 students). The variables associated with well-being conditions in the classroom were environmental and technological conditions; emotional conditions; social conditions; methodological conditions; and student conditions. The Classroom Well-being Scale in virtual environments was used to collect the information. This instrument has a reliability of 95% and a very high correlation between variables (99%). The results show that, in general, there is well-being in the classroom through virtual environments; specifically, that there is a high level of well-being in the classroom in the following aspects: availability of the virtual platform; respect for all people in the classroom environment; assertive communication in the course activities; and free expression of ideas in a respectful environment. The aspects that reflect well-being in the classroom are: quality of audiovisual resources; availability of learning resources; structure of the virtual environment; student participation; and feeling at ease with the course. The aspects to be reinforced to improve well-being are: activities proposed by the teacher in the course; and peer support in carrying out the course activities.

A Study on College Students' Experiences in Flexible Learning in Apayao State College, Conner Campus

Higher education institutions implemented flexible learning beyond on-campus and online learning during the pandemic. This study determined students' experiences with flexible learning, particularly modular and online modalities, and their problems with learning remotely. The study used descriptive research. The study's respondents were College freshmen of Apayao State College Conner Campus. The researcher thematically analyzed the student's responses to flexible learning experiences. The study made use of descriptive statistics in analyzing problems encountered. The experiences included challenges in the modular approach, availability of learning resources, usage of ICT, social interaction, and assessment modifications. The students encountered problems in flexible learning, such as ICT-related, modular, financial, and social-related problems. The College should formulate plans and implement adequate strategies to address the challenges and issues in flexible learning modalities within the College.

Education involves a complex process consisting of interactions between teachers, students, and the learning environment. The ability to complete learning is an important indicator of the success of the education system in conveying understanding and skills to students. This research is intended to investigate the factors that influence students' ability to complete learning well. The research method applied involves secondary data analysis from several related studies, surveys, and interviews with teachers and students. The research results show that elements such as teaching methods, student motivation, parental support, and availability of learning resources have a central role in the ability to complete learning. The use of innovative and student-focused teaching methods has proven successful in increasing students' understanding and interest in learning. Student motivation, whether it originates from the student or is stimulated by the teacher, has a positive impact on student learning efforts. Parental support and the availability of adequate learning resources also contribute to creating a supportive learning environment. In addition to these factors, this research highlights the importance of a holistic approach to learning, where students' emotional, social and psychological aspects are considered in a balanced manner. Therefore, the ability to complete learning includes not only academic achievement, but also the development of relevant life skills. The results of this research contribute to our understanding of how to improve the education system to be more effective in helping students achieve optimal learning completion abilities. Practical implications of this research involve expanding innovative teaching approaches, increasing parental support, and increasing access to learning resources. Thus, learning is not only a process, but also an achievement that has a positive impact on students' lives in the long term.

Development of STEM-Based E-Learning on Renewable Energy Topic to Improve the Students Creative Thinking Skills

Education has a major role in facing the challenges of the 21st-century through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The Merdeka Curriculum came as an idea to change the quality of education in Indonesia. However, the availability of learning resources is still very low, not yet phenomenon-based, multidisciplinary, and not oriented toward improving 21st-century skills. This has an impact on the low creative thinking skills of students. These skills are a necessity and can only be produced through phenomenon-based learning, studied in multidisciplinary ways, such as STEM learning. It is necessary to develop learning resources such as STEM-based e-learning. This study aims to develop STEM-based learning that is feasible and acceptable using the Alessi and Trolip development model. The research subjects were students of class X of SMAN 2 Palembang. The results showed that the alpha test of the product was suitable for use with an acceptable percentage of 100%. The beta test results of the product can be accepted by 100% of students. This study concludes that STEM-based renewable energy e-learning to improve the creative thinking skills of high school students has been feasible and acceptable to students. Furthermore, it can be used for the effectiveness test stage.

Transformasi Adobe Flash dalam Dunia Pendidikan: Analisis Bibliometrik (2006-2023)

The use of Adobe Flash in multimedia-based learning media in the world of education is expected to improve the quality and availability of learning resources in various fields, including creating more innovative and efficient learning experiences. As a result, many studies have highlighted the use of Adobe Flash as a research focus. This bibliometric research aims to evaluate previous academic work that has been carried out in the context of the use of Adobe Flash in education. Research Method using bibliometric analysis from the Scopus Database. From the results of the analysis, it appears that there are 185 sources that review Adobe Flash in education, including articles, proceedings, and reviews. Despite fluctuations, from 2010 to 2012, there was an increase in the number of publications which then decreased from 2013 to 2017, before rising again in 2018 and peaking in 2020. The three main research groups examining the role of Adobe Flash in education come from Indonesia, with a total of 35 articles. Two top authors from Indonesia and two from Malaysia, as well as one from Turkey, topped the rankings in number of publications. O'Byrne is the researcher with the highest citations, while Wang, Susilowati, Anaraki, and Gregorius are in the top five with significant citations. In future research, considering learning process, mathematics learning, learning media, interactive multimedia, development models, and research models as a focus could be an interesting choice

Implementasi Brain Based Learning Dalam Mengasah Multiple Intelligences Di MTs Al-Qur’an La Raiba Hanifida Jombang

Basically, every child is intelligent and has a tendency toward nine intelligences. To sharpen these intelligences, we need a learning model that optimizes brain activity. Brain-based learning is a learning model that involves the entire brain's potential as an approach to sharpening students multiple intelligences. The purpose of this research is to describe the concept of brain-based learning in the MTs al-Qur’an La Raiba Hanifida, the implementation of brain-based learning in multiple intelligences in the MTs, and the supportive and inhibitory factors of brain-based learning in multiple intelligences in the MTS and MA al-Qur'an La Raiba. In this study, the researchers used qualitative research and a case study approach. Data is collected using three techniques: (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) documentation. Data analysis techniques use domain analysis and taxonomic analysis. Data validation techniques use several things, including extending participation and triangulation. The result of this research is that: (1) The concept of brain-based learning in the MTs al-Qur’an La raiba is a learning model used as an approach in the learning process using the entire brain potential to maximize success. (2) Implementation of brain-based learning in sharpening multiple intelligences in the Hanifida MTs: planning, implementation, and evaluation 4) Factors supporting the implementation of brain-based learning in MTs and MA: training, support from the foundation, integration with the cottage, teachers (facilitators, providing support and guidance), availability of learning resources, and the ability of the student. The hindering factors are the difficulty in obtaining a valid reference for the age of MTs and MA students, taking a long time to upgrade the video, the recording device not meeting the desired specifications, internet problems, and changing the paradigm of teachers and students

Development of Mollusca Diversity E-Booklet at Bondo Beach Jepara to Improve Student Learning Outcomes

Observation results obtained by the availability of learning resources used are still less diverse and do not support the learning objectives achieved. The learning resources used are still limited to book packages, Student Worksheets (LKS) and Power Points (PPt). The biodiversity in Jepara Bondo Beach is very high which has not been used as a source of learning biology at SMA Islam Nusantara and SMA PGRI Jepara. The environment around the school has not been used as a learning resource because it has not represented biological wealth. Therefore, Jepara Bondo Beach is a representative place to be used as a source of learning that is close to schools. This study aims to develop an e-booklet on the diversity of Mollusca at Bondo Beach, Jepara in a factual, systematically arranged according to the material, valid, effective in increasing learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor domains in practicing oral communication skills in the sub-material classification of living things. This research uses the development method (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research data were analyzed for its characteristics, validity and effectiveness. The results of the study can be concluded that the e-booklet characteristics of Mollusca paintings on Bondo Beach Jepara are factual which are arranged systematically so that they can reach TP 10.1 to 10.3, the e-booklet is very valid and feasible to use based on expert judgment, and is effective in increasing cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes in practicing oral communication skills.
