Bidirectional Automatic Control Waterproof Gate in Daizhuang Coal Mine

The coal mine in the area of 1160 and 2160 mining area of Daizhuang coal mine is threatened by thirteen limestone water and ordovician limestone water,coal inthe 2160 mining area need to be sent to the -580 belt conveyor system via the belt conveyor of 1160. In order to isolate the two different direction water disaster area, we decided to establish a bidirectional waterproof gate chamber.In order to close the waterproof gate quickly and effectively, decided to design the automatic control system of waterproof gate with programmable control technology, accomplish automatic control and remote control of the waterproof gate. After the completion, perform quick closing test, verify its in the 50s, quickly closed waterproof gate.

Modelling node-selection behaviour in subway stations

Node-selection behaviour in subway stations directly impacts the utilisation and capacity of equipment and facilities. Although this topic has been extensively studied in various fields, existing studies are limited to environment characteristics while little research has been undertaken from the perspectives of pedestrian and interaction characteristics. In this study, pedestrian node-selection behaviour at automatic fare gates (AFGs) in subway stations was investigated and a multi-nomial logit model was developed that incorporates environment, pedestrian and interaction characteristics. For model estimation and validation, a detailed site survey was carried out to collect data on pedestrians’ actual AFG selection at three Beijing subway stations. The prediction accuracy of the model reached 90·90%. Application of the model is demonstrated by detailed analyses of influence factors from four aspects along with the utilisation optimisation of AFGs in Beijing West subway station.

Automated railway operations and control services

The automatic railway system is a better replacement for the manual standard. The system directs to the controlling of railway gate, track switching, ticket buying and checking, train arrival recognizing and the security system enhancing in railway platform with cloud services. The entire system is automated; errors occurring due to manual operation can be prevented to minimize accidents occurring due to the indifferent and the negligent nature of the today’s world. The system employs two pair of IR sensors, one for the automatic gate control, and another for the track switching system. The IR sensors are the pivot in the detection of the arrival and departure of the train thus forming the Gate control system. The same mechanism used in the track switching unit to switch the track. The system that checks for proximity employs a KFS beacon, an on-off switch that forces the train to stop upon its presence and depart later. An electric vibrating motor is set in place to vibrate the platform upon train’s arrival and to alert the passenger who unknowingly steps over the specified limit. A rotating ultrasonic sensor embedded between the tracks, does the job of sensing a living being on the track near the platform and the gate controlling unit. Train Ticket payment and checker is initiated with Radio Frequency reader, GPS system and finger print scanning device with zero wait strategy. Therefore, the efficiently reliable system is operated automatically throughout the railway system.

Queue theory for triangular and weibull arrival distribution models (case study of Banyumanik toll)

Queuing is one of the most common phenomena in daily life. Queued also happens on highway during busy time. The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) was the new system of the Banyumanik toll gate which operates in 2014. Before ETC, Banyumanik toll gate users got regular service (regular toll gate) by paying in cash only. The ETC benefits more than regular service, but automatic toll gate (ETC) users are still few compared to regular toll gate users. To know the effectiveness of substance service, this paper used analysis of queuing system. The research was conducted at Toll Gate Banyumanik with the implementation time on 26-28 December 2016 for Ungaran-Semarang direction, and 29-31 December 2016 for Semarang- Ungaran direction. In one day, observation was done for 11 hours. That was at 07.00 a.m. until 06.00 p.m. There are 4 models of queues at Banyumanik toll gate. Here the four models will be used on the number of arrival and service time. Based on the simulation with Arena, the result showed that queue model regular toll gate in Ugaran-Semarang direction is (Tria/G/3):(GD/∞/∞) and the queue model for automatic toll gate is (G/G/3):(GD/∞/∞). While the queue model for the direction of Semarang-Ungaran regular toll gate is (G/G/3):(GD/∞/∞) and the queue model of automatic toll gate is (Weib/G/3):(GD/∞/∞).

Peak Detection Implementation for Real-Time Signal Analysis Based on FPGA

In this paper a real-time peak detection method based on modified Automatic Multiscale Field Detection (AMPD) algorithm and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) technologies of a time series data is studied, and optimum scaling is highlighted after testing several scales. To validate the results obtained from modified algorithm, they are compared with the results of original AMPD method. As data of this study, three-phase voltage values of a power station are used. A detail detective sensitivity analysis of phase-to-phase voltage values is tried at different scales. Moreover, the original algorithm is tested regarding the off-line mode to obtain optimum scaling for real-time peak point detection. It is concluded that the peak detection of minimum and maximum points of data series achieved by modified algorithm is very close to the results of original AMPD algorithm.

Application of Information Technology in Comprehensive Reform of Agricultural Water Price in Irrigation District

This paper has carried out the research on the application of information technology in the comprehensive reform of agricultural water price of irrigation district. Firstly, we have analyzed of the demand system, put forward the structure scheme and information system. Secondly, we have researched on the flow measurement of open channel technology, automatic gate lifting control technology, video monitoring technology, automatic irrigation and soil moisture monitoring control technology based on RF IC card water fee management technology. The software development environment was Visual Studio2015, and the structured methods are adapted to designing databases. Finally, we have completed the system management software design, RF IC card control software, it can be suitable for the comprehensive reform of agricultural water price in large and medium-sized irrigation areas, effectively enhancing the intelligent level of irrigation water management in irrigation area.

Failure Analysis of Automatic Access Pedestrian Gate Turnstile using SolidWorks Simulation Model

This research work is focused on the failure analysis of Automatic Access Pedestrian Gate Turnstile using SolidWorks Simulation Model. Failure analysis was carried out on both static and dynamic failure of the system putting into consideration the yield stress, resultant displacement, failure cycle, percentage damage, maximum strain and most importantly factor of safety. The results of Von Mises stress analysis showed that a maximum value of 5.77Mpa yield strength was obtained. A displacement of 0.257737m and a strain value of 2.03989×10-5 were obtained respectively. The fatigue simulation damage factor was not up to 100% though is up to 50%. At the endurance limit or fatigue limit, the SN curve flattens at 106 cycle. A safety of 61 was recorded with the system which is above 1, thus the system is safe and efficient and can be used for security check.

An Approach to UML Consistency Checking Based on Compositional Semantics

One of the ways to specify dynamic behavior in UML is to model interactions between objects with sequence diagrams, and model the behavior of each object with state machines. In this context, the problem of ensuring consistency between the sequence diagrams and state machines may arise. To verify consistency, the authors propose an approach based on compositions of Büchi automata which allow us to capture the evolution of each object among the lifeline. This paper focuses on UML modeling and verification methods and bridges the gap between theoretical studies on formal semantics and practical studies to implement languages through model transformations. The transformations include basic interactions, state invariants, strict and weak sequencing, and alternative interaction fragments. Ultimately, the results of the transformations are integrated into the Spin model checker as a never claim property. The authors use the Automatic Gate Controller Railway (AGCR) as an example to illustrate their approach.

Ticketing Management System for Football League Match Organizer Based on Near Field Communication (NFC) and Website Integration

There is a lot of ticket brokering. The ticket leakage rate can be minimized to a minimum with the help of an automatic gate that will open when the audience balance is sufficient, this is shown on the website. QoS measurement using Wireshark software from the process of sending data from raspberry pi to the web server. The results showed that the maximum reading distance of the NFC reader was 2.5 cm in the position of the test tag above the reader. Based on the QoS test results, the average data packet sending with very good speed in the ITU-T category is <150 ms. In testing the distance of 26 meters, 5 meters and 3 meters between the stadium internet (wifi) source to the node at the gate because from the 3rd measurement the distance gets <150 ms according to the ITU-T standard. The results obtained are 130,588 ms, 123,493 ms and 116,818 ms. For device performance from the results of NFC testing, motor, LCD and web server can run continuously. The web server can only accommodate users of approximately 100 users at the same time with 3 clicks

Application of sluice gates in main channel as a flood control, case: industrial area of Cikande

This paper presents the application of sluice gates to control the excess runoff in the wide and very mild channel in an industrial area which is located in the Cikande, Banten, Indonesia. St. Venant equation is used and solved by 1-D model HEC-RAS. The result shows that the main channel can be utilized as a long storage or long reservoir if it is combined with sluice gates. Various scenarios of gates opening and closing operation have been conducted in order to determine the most effective gates operation. Two options of gate operations have been analyzed. The first option is the automatic option in which the gates are able to open and close automatically at a certain water level in the main channel. The second is manual option where the gates constantly open at a certain height. The results show that the main channel successfully reduced the 10 years of flood discharge from 37.45 to 17.37 m3/s for the automatic gates and from 37.45 to 17.38 m3/s for the constant opening. Although both options give the same result for controlling the flood, there are several differences between the options, especially the capability of both the systems to provide raw water for the industrial purposes. In conclusion, the automatic operation is the most effective operation, despite the fact that it is more expensive and harder to implement than the manual operation.

Indonesia is one of the potential paddy farming area in Southeast Asia, and North Sumatra Province is one of many provinces that provides it. Yet, Indonesia is still importing rice from foreign country, eventhough today the government has been willing to supply its own need. Almost 10% irrigation areas in Indonesia are connected to sea current, which means it must have a system to manage the circulation of fresh water and block the seawater from entering the irrigation area through the irrigation channel. Many systems use gates to control the water management, and most of them are using automatic sluice gate because the gates are usually positioned far from village, this makes the manual operating become difficult. Unfortunately, not all farmers can use this kind of gate due to its accessibility and cost. This research was done to design the automatic gates, which are easy to build, user friendly, low cost and dependable. In the future, poor farmers or farmers who do not have connection to government, can make this gate by themselves. The research was conducted in laboratory, using flume, pumps, reservoir, and gate prototype.

Plate Recognition Using Backpropagation Neural Network and Genetic Algorithm

Plate recognizer system is an important system. It can be used for automatic parking gate or automatic ticketing system. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Genetic Algorithms (GA) in optimizing the number of hidden neurons, learning rate and momentum rate on Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) that is applied to the Automatic Plate Number Recognizer (APNR). Research done by building a GA optimized BPNN (GABPNN) and APNR system using image processing methods, including grayscale conversion, top-hat transformation, binary morphological, Otsu threshold and binary image projection. The tests conducted with backpropagation training and recognition test. The result shows that GA optimized backpropagation neural network requires 2230 epochs in the training process to be convergent, which is 36.83% faster than non-optimal backpropagation neural network, while the accuracy is 1,35% better than non-optimized backpropagation neural network.

A Study on Automatic Railway Gate Control System

The Railroad related accidents are more dangerous than other transportation accidents in terms of injured and death rate etc. Therefore more efforts are necessary for improving safety and security. There are many railways crossing which are unmanned due to lack of manpower needed to fulfill the demand signal is sent to the control room and the gate is closed and stays closed until the train crosses the gate and crossing side sensors. Many accidents occur at such crossing since there is careless of the functioning of the railway gate when a train arrive the crossing. The main aim of this paper is to manage the control system of railway gate using microcontroller and various types of sensors. The proposed model has been designed using x-bee sensor and microcontroller to avoid railway accidents occurring a unattended railway gates if implemented detection of train approaching the gate can be sensed by means of two sensors placed on either side of the gate. This work depends on the two sensors placed on either side of the gate. This work utilizes two powerful magnetic sensors is fixed at incoming and similarly the other magnetic sensor is fixed at outgoing side of the train direction. Sensors are fixed on both sides of the gate. We call the sensors along the train direction as foreside sensor and the other as after side sensor. When foreside sensor gets activated the sensed side sensor activated and the signal about the departure is sent to the microcontroller motor turns in opposite direction and gate opens and motor stops automatically.

From the activities of UMY's business unit caused the number of outside vehicles entering UMY. The public vehicle does not have RFID as well as the UMY's internal civitas. Currently still using manpower to provide parking cards and open the door. In this study, a prototype of an automated parking system can provide a parking card and open the entrance. This prototype uses a switch as a sensor, a microcontroller as a controller, LCD as a guide display for the model of vehicle that will enter, and motor servo DC as the driver of parking doors. The entire circuit is able to form a prototype automatic parking door at UMY

Development of a Remote Controlled Alert System for Automobile Access into Premises

There have been various developments of security system such as computer security systems which prevent unauthorized access to personal files, but there is more to this. Security ensures that there is no damage to your data and that only authorized users can read your files. This work focuses on the dimension of remote controlled alert system for automobile access using password credential. This remote control alert was done by research on how remote controlled systems and automatic gates work and the transfer of frequency signals through transmitters to receiver module to be used at homes, schools, industries and companies. The remote alert system was developed by combining major systems: the power generation system or power source, transmission system, reception system (the alert system, the actuation system and the display system. Results showed that at smaller distance of 15 cm, the response time was 0.12s while at a longer distance of 100 cm; the response time was 15.91s. A valid signal was received on the receiver output display for automobile access into a premise; therefore TLP 315MHz RF transmitter and the RLP 315 MHz RF receiver can be used for a shorter distance.

A simulation model for evaluating facilities' adaptability in the fare collection area of subway stations

According to relative position between ticket office and automatic fare gates, the facility layout of a fare collection area can be classified into three types. The application of these facility layout types are analyzed in the 15 subway hubs and 85 general stations, Beijing. According to the analysis results of facility layout and passenger flow line, fare collection area can be classified into 9 functional subareas. The adjacency degree is defined as the location relationship between adjacent subareas. Secondly, the simulation model is developed with an individual passenger as the object, to update an individual passenger's status. And the moving behavior model of an individual passenger is developed based on the macro pedestrian flow model according to traffic characteristics of many passengers in the field data. In status updating, the average speed of the passengers in different simulation time varied with the density in the subarea. In the case study the facility configurations of the fare collection system in the rail transit hub, DongZhiMen are evaluated with the proposed model for the adaptability of the facility configuration in the fare collection systems. Results show that the provided simulation model is effective and valuable for facility layout optimization and adaptability analysis.
